Who is Cole Tomas Allen?

Photos from: Reporter identifies White House dinner shooting suspect after Trump escorted

(6) KanekoaTheGreat on X: "Cole Tomas Allen Engineering Cal Tech 2013 Was he influenced by Biden-Democrats accusations of "white supremacy"?

"Fox News and New York Post columnist, Karol Markowicz, on Saturday identified the White House Correspondents Dinner shooting suspect as Cole Tomas Allen. She shared first details on X, noting that the individual is from Torrance, California and is in custody.

“The attempted shooter at the White House Correspondent's Dinner is 31 year old Cole Tomas Allen from Torrance, California and he is in custody,” she tweeted.

"Far-right activist Laura Loomer also identified the suspect as Cole Tomas Allen. She additionally claimed he is a registered Democrat who donated to Kamala Harris' 2024 presidential campaign. These political claims have not been independently verified by authorities.

"Unverified social media profiles allegedly belonging to Allen, including accounts on Facebook and LinkedIn, have circulated online. They list his educational background as including mechanical engineering studies at Caltech, a master’s degree in computer science from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and a research fellowship at NASA.

"One photo that has emerged shows him receiving a “Teacher of the Month” recognition in Los Angeles County." . . .

Update1, 2: Shooter identified; Class should prepare for a substitute teacher Monday! Chaos as Trump and Melania rushed out of White House Correspondents' Dinner

UPDATE: White House Correspondents' Dinner shooter identified | Daily Mail Online

"The suspect in the White House Correspondents' Dinner has been identified as a California teacher.

"A source told the Daily Mail that Cole Tomas Allen, 31, from Torrance, California near LA is the alleged shooter who opened fire at the Washington Hilton on Saturday night.

"The educator from the Los Angeles area was quickly apprehended by law enforcement moments after breaching a security checkpoint. He has been charged with firearms and assault charges.

"Police revealed the suspect had a number of weapons on him including a shotgun, handgun and multiple knives.

"President Trump shared a stunning image shortly after showing the suspect shirtless and lying face down on the carpet. Law enforcement confirmed he was not struck by gunfire while being stopped.

"In photos taken moments after Cole was pinned by agents, officers can be seen restraining him as others moved in to secure the area.

"Trump said the suspect was armed with multiple weapons before being stopped by the Secret Service. It's believed Cole may have been a guest at the Hilton hotel where the event was taking place." . . .

Kash Patel's stunning reaction as shooter opened fire on White House Correspondents' Dinner | Daily Mail Online    "FBI Director Kash Patel acted swiftly to protect others as shots rang out at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Chaos broke out inside the Washington Hilton after a shooter opened fire in the lobby around 8.15pm, prompting the Secret Service to rush into action, securing President Donald Trump and thousands of guests.

Patel, who was a guest of the Daily Mail alongside his girlfriend, country singer Alexis Wilkins, immediately instructed others at the table to get down.

As reporters huddled on the floor and underneath the tables, Patel yelled 'stay down.'

Daily Mail reporters in attendance reported hearing three to four shots and hearing Secret Service agents yelling to get down.

When it was safe to stand back up, Patel and Wilkins asked the reporters standing next to them if they were OK, and then were escorted out of the ballroom by his security detail.

Too Far? Gerrymandered Virginia Congressional Map Includes California

 Babylon Bee Parody

At publishing time, Governor Spanberger had reportedly reached out to California Governor Gavin Newsom for expert advice on how to use her party's total control to most effectively bankrupt her state.

RICHMOND, VA — The political landscape in the Commonwealth was set to change drastically moving forward, as the new gerrymandered congressional map of Virginia was revealed to include the entire state of California.

The ballot measure was expected to shift the balance of power dramatically in favor of the Democratic Party, as the heavily liberal state of California would now be added to Virginia's newly redrawn map.

"Some might say it's overkill, but we'll take it," said Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger. "Our new congressional map proves that the Commonwealth's brightest days are ahead, with more Democratic members of Congress than you can shake a stick at. And believe you me, you can shake a stick at a lot of Democratic members of Congress."

Critics of the new plan were quick to point out the conflict of interest inherent in including an entirely different state into the map. "How does that even work, exactly?" asked former Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin. "Do California residents now get to vote in Virginia elections? Or do we now just have dozens more congressional districts due to California's population? Does any of this even matter, or does it really just mean Democrats now just have absolute power in Virginia? Granted, I'm asking a lot of questions here that probably should have been asked before the bill was passed. Oh well, I'm not governor anymore. Good luck, Virginians!" . . .

Climate: For decades celebrities said we had one decade to live. But nowwwww...um

That was then:

Before Al Gore there was this: In 1975, Newsweek Predicted A New Ice Age. We’re Still Living with the Consequences.

Then later... Al Gore says the doomsday predictions from climate scientists 20 years ago "were proven dead right," so we should take them even more seriously now.

What Did Al Gore Say About Climate Change?

One of Gore’s most significant contributions to the climate change conversation was his documentary “An Inconvenient Truth,” released in 2006. Through this film, he showcased the undeniable evidence of global warming, presenting scientific data, personal anecdotes, and compelling visuals that illustrated the stark realities of a changing planet.

The Environmental Impact of the Fashion Industry

Al Gore’s ‘Inconvenient Truth’ turns 20, and critics say biggest disaster is its failed predictions
"Since Gore’s film was released – which was given a sequel in 2017 – Gore has continued to make false predictions, the meteorologist said. In 2009, Gore stated that the Arctic would be ice-free in summer within five to seven years. As of today, the Arctic still has ice in summer."

2019: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Warns, ‘World Is Going to End in 12 Years,’ Reiterating Claims of Recent U.N. Climate Change Report

"Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the Democrat from New York, called climate change "our World War II" and warned that the world will end in 12 years if we don't address global warming on Monday."

. . . "Thousands of lives per year could be lost as the elderly or ill suffer from heat stroke and other heat-related trauma. Poor and underdeveloped nations would suffer the worst effects, since they would not have the financial resources to deal with the problems that come with an increase in temperature. Huge numbers of people could die from starvation if a decrease in precipitation limits crop growth and from disease if coastal flooding leads to widespread water-borne illness." . . .

Do we really only have ten years to save the planet?

"The trouble is, we’re already at 1.1°C above this baseline. Without urgent action we’ll pass 1.5°C in around 20 years. This would have catastrophic impacts for our planet, such as more extreme weather, loss of habitats and the species living within them, which could threaten our food and water supplies. Preventing this requires much more action, and this needs to happen right now."

But this is now!   Al Gore Warns 'The Day After Tomorrow' Ice Age Could Happen in 25 Years, 10 Years After 'Inconvenient Truth' Prophecies Failed

In response to this doomsday warning, Whitford sets a more drastic timeline — that if Gore’s energy policies are not enacted, “we’re in an ice age in, like, 10 years.” However, Gore punts the prophecy’s deadline much farther into the future, dodging any chance of accountability."

Zohran Mamdani's First Veto Shows You (Again) Exactly What Type of Guy He Is

Bob Hoge;  RedState

"As Mayor, I will always make sure the right to protest, prayer and protection are guaranteed for every New Yorker." Yeah, especially if they’re violent anti-ICE or pro-Hamas demonstrators.

"Zohran Mamdani issued his first veto as New York City mayor on Friday, and it revealed once more that he is no friend of the Jewish people or a fan of law and order.

"The democratic socialist has spent his approximately three and a half months in Gracie Mansion proving that he is governing exactly the way he told us he would: by endorsing extreme left policies, threatening punitive tax hikes, refocusing the government on “equity” (which is basically just legalized discrimination), and demonizing the wealthy — the very people who prop the Big Apple up.

"Now the man who refused to condemn the phrase “globalize the intifada” has vetoed a bipartisan measure meant to keep students safe during protests. What were some of the most violent and destructive demonstrations we’ve seen in NYC in recent years? You got it, the 2024 pro-Hamas, anti-Jewish conflagrations at Columbia University and on the city streets, as well as the January anti-ICE protests, to name but a few.

"Mamdani apparently wants to let rioters do whatever they want:

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is sparking backlash after using his first veto to derail a bipartisan bill aimed at combating antisemitism by expanding protest security safeguards for places of education.

"This could impact workers protesting ICE or college students demanding their school divest from fossil fuels or demonstrating in support of Palestinian rights," Mamdani said in a statement Friday.

"It is a piece of legislation that has alarmed much of the labor movement, reproductive rights groups and immigration advocates, among others, across this city."   More...

NIMBY 1, Mamdani 0: The Base That Cheered Him Now Sues Him

"The lawsuit against the homeless shelter cites, among other things, environmental issues. Seriously? What environment? In that concrete jungle? Oh, I know, the East Village has parks and all that; it's not all brick and cement. But if we put NIMBY on one side of the scale and the environment on the other to see which one motivates the East Village residents more, I'm betting on the former. And, honestly, can we blame them? I can understand they don't want a building full of bums in their neighborhood. But it's not the NIMBY that's interesting here, but the hypocrisy, and the utter lack of understanding of what they were voting for: a clueless" creature of the far-left who has never done an honest day's work in his life."

. . . "But let's be real: When Mayor Mamdani's term is up, should he run for another stint in Gracie Mansion, the East Village will turn out to vote for him, very likely by a 2-1 margin - again."

VDH: Trump Isn’t Negotiating—He’s Crushing Iran’s Regime

Victor Davis Hanson - The Daily Signal

"Yeah, exactly. We’re not. It’s nothing the same. Obama was rearming an ascendant Iran that was scary and indomitable, so people thought. We are dealing with a prostrate, weakened, and feeble corpse of Iran. And we’re dictating. We’re not negotiating, we’re dictating to it."

. . . "Yeah. And [Tim Walz] goes over there, and he’s one of the keynotes. Now he’s being hosted by this anti-American government that’s utterly corrupt and stolen money and is very unpopular and knows the next election it has, it’ll be thrown out. But it has just denied the United States, at a time of war, the use of its airspace and its joint NATO base, in large part paid for by the United States.

"And he gets up in front of this foreign audience at a time when Americans are risking their lives in their Gulf, and he says that this is a fascistic agenda enterprise. This is fascism. What we’re doing is fascism." . . .

Issues & Insights

"There’s no question that the Democratic Party has become a lawless and unethical enterprise run by, and maintained for the benefit of, the most rotten people in the country."

"America’s real insurrection is a long-term project of the country’s Democrats. It appears to have hit some snags, however. Maybe, as their carefully constructed facade begins to crumble, we’ll be able to save our republic after all.

"The power and influence of the Democratic Party over the past two to three decades has been built on appearances. The legacy media, of course, are committed comrades and make it appear as if today’s party of the left is no different than it was in the days of John F. Kennedy. In truth, though, it is far more radical, blatantly anti-American, and outright corrupt.

"We began to see how a party that’s disconnected from normal Americans has been able to stay in or close to power when the Department of Government Efficiency discovered last year that Washington created a taxpayer-financed slush fund in which nongovernmental organizations are lavishly subsidized for the welfare of insiders. Not all NGOs are profligate, but far too many have been “fronts for government activities that Americans would never stand for if Washington attempted them directly,” says University of Tennessee law professor Glenn Reynolds.

"These activities line up snugly with the Democrats’ agenda, which is why they protest too much — their means for virtually printing money and consolidating political power was in danger.

"Just under the surface of the fetid swamp, the NGO shell game funnels taxpayers’ dollars “through multiple layers, with various entities handling and redistributing it” to the favored “groups and people who back those who are directing the funds. It’s a virtuous rather than vicious cycle – or virtuous at least to its participants who reap the benefits.”

"Media outlets, the ones that “report” and “analyze” the news as if they’re the marketing and communications wing of the Democratic Party, have also benefited from taxpayers’ “contributions” to the federal leviathan.

"More recently, the Southern Poverty Law Center has been indicted by a federal grand jury for wire fraud, making false statements to a federally insured bank, and “knowingly” combining, conspiring, confederating, and agreeing “with persons known and unknown to the grand jury to commit concealment money laundering.”

According to the indictment, the SPLC’s “stated mission included the dismantling of
white supremacy and confronting hate across the country.” But behind this charade, donor “money was being used to fund the leaders and organizers of racist groups, including the Ku Klux Klan, the Aryan Nation, and the National Alliance.”. . .

The California burrito hospice; California fraud is as in-your-face as it gets.

 Mike McDaniel - American Thinker

Were it not for the Trump Administration, none of this would have been exposed, and California politicians are working to make it illegal for journalists to expose fraud and other crimes.

"We’ve known for some time that Minnesota is one of America’s leading producers of fraud, costing taxpayers untold billions. But we’re now learning California is greatly surpassing Minnesota, and the hapless communist, Tampon Tim Walz, in the fraud sweepstakes.

"But how can this be? Despite both states being ruled by Democrats, which means Islamist/Marxists these days, California’s population is much larger as is its budget. California’s immigrant population, barely legal and completely illegal, is substantially larger and more diverse than Minnesota’s. California is not limited to lavishing fraud on a single immigrant population like the Somalis. Minnesota’s legislature is not entirely infested with Democrats, certainly not to the degree of California’s, so California Democrats simply have far more need of allowing fraud for vote-buying, their campaigns and personal enrichment than Minnesota and far more opportunities. One might also reasonably argue that California politicians have a longer history of criminality than Minnesota’s, hence more experience at committing crimes and avoiding consequences.

"We’ve heard of stunning levels of California hospice fraud for some time now. Hospice fraud? How does that work? Very easily and profitably, apparently. Thus far, Vice President JD Vance’s fraud taskforce has suspended federal funds to around 500 of California’s supposed hospice providers and more will doubtless be suspended soon." . . .  More...

Ghostwriter in a Hurry; Pity the hack who works for Gavin Newsom.

Ghostwriter in a Hurry - The American Conservative

"The memoir has been praised for its literary qualities, for its humility, for its honesty. It possesses none of these things. It is a pastiche of introspection; unconvincing and shallow, like Newsom himself. "

"Let’s start with the acknowledgments, usually the best place to begin in a political memoir. Here the author admits that he is less composer and more collaborator. Although his name appears on the cover and the story is his own, the real work of compilation is done by a shadow army of ghostwriters, developmental editors, line editors, copy editors, and fact checkers. No one feels any compunction about this arrangement. It is just the way the business works. The writers and editors offer their services, the author accepts, and everyone who participated in the project gets half a line of thanks. Most people know you can’t judge a book by its cover. Only those in publishing understand that you must consult the acknowledgements.
"Gavin Newsom is cognizant of this industry dynamic, and it suits him well. The governor of California is one of the most forthright fakers in American politics. He proudly declares in the acknowledgements of Young Man in a Hurry that he did not write his memoir. Instead, he “enjoyed the privilege” of hiring Mark Arax, a literary nonfiction journalist in California, to do the work for him. The idea was to produce something classier than a campaign book. Arax’s role “went beyond mere ghostwriter,” Newsom says. “He asked for one thing: that the memoir would go where it needed to go, no matter how personal and wrenching, and I agreed.”

"That’s a big promise, especially coming from a guy who is eyeing the White House in 2028. Pity that Newsom doesn’t deliver. Young Man in a Hurry fails on its own terms. It is neither personal nor wrenching. Worse, neither author nor writer seems to understand how badly he has blundered. Nor, I should add, do most reviewers. The memoir has been praised for its literary qualities, for its humility, for its honesty. It possesses none of these things. It is a pastiche of introspection; unconvincing and shallow, like Newsom himself.

"The problem of authenticity is one with which Newsom has struggled ever since he got into politics. His family is one of the most venerable in San Francisco, and he spent much of his childhood gadding about the world with the Getty children, whose family trust his father administered. His first political assignment was an appointed position, courtesy of Willie Brown, another friend of his father’s. Almost every position has occupied since has owed something to his family name and connections. Newsom does not deny nor downplay any of it. But he insists that he has known struggle too. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother had to work three jobs just to get by. He claims that as a child he was gangly, awkward, and afflicted by undiagnosed dyslexia. When he grew up, he became aware of a painful duality within himself that he has spent years attempting to understand." . . .More...

I don't blame Trump for walking out before the mentalist, but it seems like they picked a mentalist so Trump wouldn't leave, so he wouldn't need to withstand the horrors of comedy. ‘Lying Scumbag’: Schumer Blasted After Saying ‘Nobody Respects’ Border Patrol and ICE on Senate Floor

 Debra Heine › American Greatness

"He then pointed out that Schumer hypocritically enjoys taxpayer-funded security while simultaneously working to defund the agencies protecting the rest of the country."

"Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) ignited an intense political firestorm Thursday, after disparaging the nation’s top immigration enforcement agencies on the Senate floor.
"During a debate over a Republican-led $70 billion funding plan for the agencies, Schumer asserted that “nobody respects” Customs and Border Protection (CBP) or Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).  His remarks came as Senate Republicans advanced a budget reconciliation measure—passed 50-48—to fund ICE and CBP, bypassing Democrats. The move became necessary after Schumer refused to fund the agencies through traditional means.
"The senator argued that the funding should have been tied to reforms and called ICE and CBP “lawless” agencies that need oversight.
"'America is crying out for relief from high costs, and you’re here adding $140 billion to an agency—two groups—Border Patrol and ICE, that nobody respects in this country,” Schumer declared.
"Schumer’s $140 billion figure combines the newly advanced $70 billion funding plan with additional funds previously allocated to ICE and Border Patrol under prior Republican legislation.
"The reprehensible comments drew immediate condemnation from top Republicans.
"President Donald Trump demanded an immediate apology, calling the statement “one of the most egregious, incorrect, unpatriotic, and dangerous” ever made by a politician.
"'Wow! Cryin’ Chuck Schumer just said, for the whole World to hear, that “NOBODY RESPECTS BORDER PATROL OR ICE,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “That is one of the most egregious, incorrect, unpatriotic, and dangerous statements I have EVER heard from a “professional” politician,” the president added. “HE MUST IMMEDIATELY APOLOGIZE TO THESE GREAT PATRIOTS, AND I MEAN NOW!” . . .  More...
