"Baron Trump is living largely outside public view as threats against President Trump’s youngest son draw the attention of the Secret Service.
"At 20, he should be able to build a life without people talking about killing him.
"New reporting describes the personal toll surrounding that “security bubble,” including the loss of someone close to him.
"The New York Post spoke with people in the Trump family’s orbit who described Barron as intensely private and seldom seen publicly. Its Friday report follows repeated attempts on his father’s life and threats aimed at Barron himself.
"The paper also reported thart Charlie Kirk’s September 2025 assassination deeply affected Barron, who had become close to him. Barron reportedly connected Kirk’s death with the danger of appearing publicly.
"The First Lady’s office asked the paper to leave details of Barron’s private life out of coverage because of the recent threats. That is an understandable request from a mother facing this situation.
"A therapist interviewed for the report cautioned against equating privacy with trauma. She has never treated Barron, and the reporting offers no basis for diagnosing his mental health.
"Threatening a president’s son is a vile way to intimidate a family. Whatever anyone thinks of the administration, Barron deserves to be safe.
"In its earlier coverage, the New York Post reported that Iranian state media had aired an approximately three-minute video targeting Barron. It described a claimed $10 million bounty, while explicitly stating that the paper could not independently verify the alleged reward or the video’s purported surveillance claims.
"The Secret Service confirmed to the paper that it knew about the video and investigates material that could constitute a threat to people under its protection. The agency withheld details about protective intelligence for security reasons.
"The report placed the broadcast alongside earlier threatening material directed at the president and First Lady Melania Trump. Barron’s name was being pulled into an already ugly campaign against the family." . . . More.
