"Children were fully capable of choosing sterilizing hormones.
"Puberty blockers were “reversible.”
"And anyone who questioned any of it was a bigot.
"It was one of the most aggressive campaigns of magical thinking in modern public life.
"We were told sex was “assigned at birth,” as if doctors in delivery rooms were rolling dice rather than observing biological reality. Chromosomes, anatomy, and reproductive function were suddenly deemed less important than feelings. Centuries of scientific understanding were brushed aside in favor of slogans and hashtags.
"No civilization in history believed this.
"Then, almost overnight, we were expected not only to accept it but also to celebrate it.
"The issue was never about adults making personal choices. Free people can live as they wish.
"The scandal was always about the children.
"Adolescence is messy. Teenagers often feel anxious, awkward, alienated, and uncomfortable in their own skin. That used to be called growing up — a phase most eventually outgrow.
"Then activists rebranded ordinary distress as evidence of being “born in the wrong body.”
