Krauthammer: Legitimizing Hamas’s War Criminality

Our secretary of state has alienated both Israel and our moderate Arab partners.

Kerry Israel Talks - Political Cartoon
http://comicallyincorrect.com/2014/07/30/kerry-israel-talks/

"John Kerry is upset by heavy criticism from Israelis — left, right and center — of his recent ceasefire diplomacy. But that’s only half the story. More significant is the consternation of America’s Arab partners, starting with the president of the Palestinian Authority. Mahmoud Abbas was stunned that Kerry would fly off to Paris to negotiate with Hamas allies Qatar and Turkey in talks that excluded the PA and Egypt.

"The talks also undermined Egypt’s ceasefire proposal, which Israel had accepted and Hamas rejected. “Kerry tried through his latest plan to destroy the Egyptian bid,” charged a senior Palestinian official quoted in the Arab daily Asharq Al-Awsat — a peace plan that the PA itself had supported.

"It gets worse."   Full article

John Kerry’s big blunder in seeking an Israel-Gaza cease-fire

JoshuaPundit

... "Second, he seeks to fulfill the instructions of President Obama, who wants an immediate cease-fire and has become skeptical about solving the knotted Israeli-Palestinian conflict."

The Loophole is Obama

Ann Coulter  ... "No law needs to be fixed. The only thing that needs to be fixed is the president.

"Obama has gone mad and is defying the law in order to "fundamentally transform America" -- as he pledged to do during the 2008 campaign -- into Latin America. (Luckily for George Will, he won't be around by the time Latin America gets to his neighborhood.)

"Any Republicans pushing for an immigration bill to seal an imaginary loophole aren't fighting Obama; they're helping him.

"Constitutionally, the remedy for a president defying the law so he can assist an alien invasion is impeachment. But the media won't let us impeach Obama -- and Republicans don't have the votes, anyway. The only way for Americans to fight back is to put large Republican majorities in the House and Senate this November."

Italian Reporter After Leaving Gaza Confirms It Was A Hamas Rocket That Hit School Playground Killing 10 Kids…

Weasel Zippers

From INN... "Verifying facts on the ground in Gaza is notoriously difficult for foreign reporters, and even for Palestinian journalists seen as aligned with the Fatah-led Palestinian Authority, as journalists are closely watched by Hamas security forces and can face interrogation and a permanent ban from Gaza for publishing material deemed unfavorable to the territory’s Islamist rulers. As such, little information has emerged on what exactly happened that day in Shati.

"But returning from a stint in Gaza, and safe from what he ominously referred to as potential “Hamas retaliation”, Italian journalist Gabriele Barbati broke the media silence by tweeting the following message, confirming that Hamas terrorists rushed to cover up evidence of what was indeed errant rocket fire aimed at Israel."...   Keep reading

..."another deep crisis in trust between Israeli senior cabinet members and the American secretary of state."

The White House warned Israel it risks loss of its alliance with the U.S. over their criticism of John Kerry's tactics in peace talks. He decided to bring in Turkey and Qatar to the peace table and they're anti-Israel. John Kerry couldn't stop a ketchup fight at the Heinz family picnic.       Argus Hamilton

When You’ve Lost Haaretz…    "Haaretz is Israel’s establishment, liberal newspaper. Scott once described it to me in shorthand as the New York Times of Israel. So the paper is a natural ally of a Democratic U.S. administration.

"That is what makes this article by Barak Ravid remarkable. It is titled Kerry’s latest cease-fire plan: What was he thinking? It is behind a subscription wall, but the link goes to Haaretz’s mobile site and should be accessible:"
...
The draft Kerry passed to Israel on Friday shocked the cabinet ministers not only because it was the opposite of what Kerry told them less than 24 hours earlier, but mostly because it might as well have been penned by Khaled Meshal. It was everything Hamas could have hoped for.
Political Cartoons by Chip Bok
Israeli writer Caroline Glick writes:     ..."Until Obama made the call, there was lingering doubt among some Israelis regarding his intentions. Some thought that US Secretary of State John Kerry might have been acting of his own accord last Friday night when he tried to force Israel to accept Hamas’s cease-fire terms.

"But then Obama made his phone call. And all doubts were dispelled.

"Kerry is just a loyal steward of Obama’s foreign policy."

Israel, Hamas and Obama’s foreign policy

Political Cartoons by Nate Beeler

Caroline Glick   "...The IDF’s discovery of Hamas’s Rosh Hashana plot was the last straw for any Israeli leftists still harboring fantasies about picking up our marbles and going home. Hamas’s plan to use its tunnels to send hundreds of terrorists into multiple Israeli border communities simultaneously and carry out a massacre of unprecedented scope, replete with the abduction of hostages to Gaza, was the rude awakening the Left had avoided since it pushed for Israel’s 2005 withdrawal from Gaza.

"In other words, in their discussion Sunday night, Netanyahu and his ministers were without illusions about the gravity of the situation and the imperative of winning – however defined.

"But then the telephone rang. And Obama told Netanyahu that Israel must lose. He wants an unconditional “humanitarian” cease-fire that will lead to a permanent one.

...

"The discovery that the Obama administration is entirely in Hamas’s corner hit all of Israel hard. But it hit the Left the hardest. Few on the Right, which recognized Obama’s hostility from the outset of his presidency, were surprised."
..
Here comes the real meat of Ms. Glick's piece and I have printed it here in bold.
Wait for it...

"The Israeli Left has been Obama’s ace in the hole since he first ran for office, fresh from the pews in Jeremiah Wright’s anti-Semitic church. They were the grease in the wheels that legitimized the administration’s anti-Israel pressure group J Street. They were the ones who could be counted on to tell the US media and the American Jews that Netanyahu is to blame for Obama’s hostility."

OFFICIAL IDF VIDEO: IDF Detonates Large Tunnel in Gaza : Hamas' terrifying plans for these tunnels

Hamas Used Terror Tunnels in Plot to Massacre of Thousands of Israelis   "The most terrifying detail is being uncovered that Hamas had a plan to attack all the settlements and kibbutzim in the area this year on Rosh Hashanah with an invasion of over 200 terrorists into almost all the settlements in the area. The tunnels went under the kibbutzim under the kindergartens and dining rooms and other areas within the kibbutz perimeters. They planned to occupy the whole area and kill as many Israeli as possible.

"This could have been the worst terror attack in the history of terrorism. Thousands of people, including women and children would have been slaughtered in this planned attack."

Mike Pence Learned HHS Was Dumping Illegal Alien Children In Indiana From The Press, Not HHS

No borders

Weasel Zippers    "Indiana governor Mike Pence said he first learned the federal government had placed 245 unaccompanied alien children in Indiana through media reports.

"In a letter to President Obama, Pence wrote that the Department of Health and Human Services informed him that the federal government had housed hundreds of unaccompanied alien children in Indiana from January 1, 2014, to July 7, 2014, but only after reports surfaced in the media."...

Dingbat Politicians for Hamas

Sara Noble   "After a bit of rambling, Nancy Pelosi recently told interviewer Candy Crowley on MSNBC that Hamas is a humanitarian organization. And do you know who told her that? Qatar! Qatar, the sponsors of terror in the region who are also financial backers of Hamas, that’s who told her.

"At least she knows where to get her information."

"More good news. candidate for president, Hillary Clinton, of Benghazi fame, thinks Hamas keeps their rockets and missiles in civilian areas because they don’t have a lot of room. It’s merely a problem of space. That’s a relief!

"It doesn’t explain how tiny Israel fits all their missiles in without filling up schools and hospitals.

"Oh well, what difference…at this point…does it make? The country is going to hell in a hand basket anyway.

"People should keep in mind that if Hillary is elected, no one will be able to criticize her no matter what she does or the person will be called an anti-woman fiend."  Emphasis added, TD

Obama: Muslims Contributed to Building 'The Very Fabric of Our Nation'

Big Government

... "The comments were made to mark the celebration of Eid-al-Fitr, a time of spiritual renewal for Muslims which comes at the end of the month-long fast of Ramadan. The Obamas said in their statement that Eid “celebrates the common values that unite us in our humanity” and “welcomed their commitment to giving back to their communities.” The International Business Times reports that during Eid, Muslims join in Islamic prayer, while saying "Allahu Akbar," or "God is Great," and feasting.

"The statement further reads that the administration “wishes Muslims in the United States and around the world a blessed and joyous celebration.” The letter ended with salutation of “Eid Mubarak,” which roughly means “blessed celebration.”

How Ryan T. Anderson Responded to a Gay Man Who Wants to Redefine Marriage

One can appreciate the politeness and respect for each other in this reasoned conversation.

Daily Signal  “ 'Why should I, as a gay man, be denied the same right to file a joint tax return with my potential husband that a straight couple has?”

"Anderson also talked about the differences between the law’s interest in contracts and in marriage:

A Big Attaboy for Sen. Harry Reid. Harry Reid? Harry Reid!

"Senator Reid took the Senate floor on Monday to call Congress to approve aid to Israel. In doing so, he stepped away from his Liberals and Democrats, who relentlessly portray Israel as the aggressor.
“Mr. President, our great country has many friends in the world, we’re proud of all the alliances we have,” Reid said. “But certainly, our deepest attachment is what we have with Israel. The United States and Israel have stood by each other in good times and bad times, in times of peace, in times of war. Right now our friends in the state of Israel are under attack. Hamas continues to indiscriminately fire thousands of rockets into Israel.”
“When Hamas fires these rockets, Hamas has no idea where they’ll land,” he continued. “Military installation, they hope; a daycare center, they don’t care; empty parking lot, they don’t care. They’re just firing these rockets indiscriminately.”
" "Even Sen. Reid knows that Conservatives are right on the issue of Israel. Will the President listen?"

Leaked story about an alleged transcript of Obama and Netanyahu call

The original story: Pamela Geller   "...Channel 1 reporter says PM-POTUS transcript legit: Despite rejections by American and Israeli officials, Channel 1′s Or Nahari insists that the transcript leaked to him by a “senior American official” is authentic, but acknowledges that the quotes he published were merely an except from a long conversation. (TOI)

"The State Department is running for cover. They can leak Israel intel that jeopardizes their national security  (here and here too) but don’t reveal what Obama is actually doing."

What we know about the alleged transcript of Obama and Netanyahu call    "The world is buzzing with the leak of an alleged transcript between U.S. President Barack Obama and Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"But we warn you: Proceed with caution." ...

PM of Israel         @IsraeliPM
We have seen reports of an alleged POTUS-Netanyahutranscript; neither reports nor alleged transcript bear any resemblance to reality 1/2

The Times of Israel:  Israel, US deny veracity of transcript of ‘hostile’ Obama call to Netanyahu    ... "In the wake of the American and Israeli denials, the journalist who broadcast the report, Oren Nahari, told The Times of Israel that he stood by it.
"In his TV report, Nahari (right), a veteran Channel 1 journalist, said that a senior American official forwarded him a transcript of the two leaders’ 35-minute conversation. They spoke about positive issues, such as Netanyahu thanking Obama for the administration’s support for Israel, he said. But during the part in which they discussed efforts to reach a ceasefire to end Operation Protective Edge, the president was “unfriendly, stiff-necked, unwilling to listen to counter-arguments” and even “hostile,” he said, quoting the American official.
