Democrats' illegal immigration tune has changed over years despite incoming caravan

Fox News  "President Trump used his predecessor's own words against him when he quoted President Obama's forceful 2005 opposition to illegal immigration, but he could have cherry-picked an old quote from any number of top Democrats on the controversial subject.
"On Tuesday, Trump tweeted a 2005 video in which then Senator Obama made a statement against illegal immigration, accompanied by the comment "I agree with President Obama 100%".
"“We are a generous and welcoming people here in the United States,” Obama said in the 31-second clip. “But those who enter the country illegally and those who employ them disrespect the rule of law and they are showing disregard for those who are following the law.”
"He added: “We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked, and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently and lawfully to become immigrants into this country.' ” . . .

“I recently watched a group of protestors, most of them young, denouncing President Donald Trump’s immigration policies,” Carlson says. “They were waving Mexican flags and shouting: ‘¡Si, se puede!’—’Yes, we can!’ This is now the rallying cry of the open-borders left, but it wasn’t always. In fact, I wondered if a single person at the protest knew where it came from.”"Carlson explains how the slogan was first promoted by the founder of the United Farm Workers union Cesar Chavez. The Progressive hero opposed illegal immigration so much he would send his men into the desert to assault illegals trying to get into the country because he reasoned that they would cause wages to drop for legal immigrants.“ 'Until recently, most Democrats agreed with Chavez,” Carlson continues. “They opposed unchecked immigration because they knew it hurt American workers. And they were right.' ” . . .

HE’S woke TOO! Rep. Steve Scalise just OWNED Don Lemon with a single emoji for claiming ‘Dems aren’t killing people’

Townhall
Don Lemon: ‘I Don’t See Democrats Killing People’ Over Politics "CNN anchor Don Lemon said on his show Monday that he sees only “right-wingers,” not Democrats, committing murders over their political beliefs.
"Conservative commentator Mike Shields argued on Lemon’s show, ”CNN Tonight,” that blaming “fear-mongering” from Fox News over the Central American immigrant caravan for the synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh was “disgusting” and “outrageous.”
"Shields brought up the Bernie Sanders supporter who shot Representative Steve Scalise at a Republican congressional baseball practice in 2017, apparently motivated by his political disagreements with the GOP.
"Liberal commentator Max Boot accused Shields of blaming Sanders for the shooting, something he had not suggested and which he patently denied.
“ 'You’re not being honest,” Lemon told Shields, a recurring guest on the show. “ 'This is not equal, and I understand the whole argument about both sides.' ” . . .

Hat tip: Weasel Zip  Twitchy    "Apparently Don Lemon talked about right-wing extremism on his CNN show on Monday night and Rep. Steve Scalise had a simple yet hilarious response to Lemon’s claim that Democrats aren’t killing people.
"Admit it. You laughed.
"We did.

Well, he does get his information from CNN.

Sinema Leads McSally By Six In Arizona Senate Race

Say it ain't so, Arizona!

. . . "I say this race has bad vibes because, apart from two weeks earlier this month, Sinema has led basically the whole way. A poll taken during the Kavanaugh saga found McSally ahead by six, then another survey in mid-October put her ahead by two. That raised the possibility that Arizonans were coming home to the GOP in the final weeks of the race and/or that the “Kavanaugh effect” was starting to bite Sinema like it had Heidi Heitkamp and/or that the drumbeat of old video of Sinema dumping on Arizona’s politics had caught up to her. But the last two polls, each taken this week, have her back up by three and six points, respectively. Overall she’s led in nine of the last 11 polls taken, occasionally by margins as large as six or seven points. If there were any Kavanaugh-related backlash to the Democrat or any umbrage taken at her Arizona remarks, it appears to have worn off.
"Or maybe it was blunted by other forces?
The last week has been driven by Trump's response to the mail bombs and Pittsburgh, and now he's leaning into birthright citizenship. His Gallup approval has dropped 4 points and there are new discouraging polls for the GOP this AM. We'll see if this proves a bigger trend, but...

"The polls this morning are indeed bad for the GOP, especially in the House. (There are posts coming up about that.) It’s easy to pin that on Trump, but NBC’s data suggests another possibility in Arizona:" . . .

CNN face plant trying to blame Trump for synagogue massacre

Fortunately for CNN, some of their allies showed up at a Blackburn rally to ruin a moment of silence for the shooting victims

Carol Brown  "You have to hand it to CNN -- sometimes. Yesterday, Alisyn Camerota asked her guest probing questions about hate: “Can hate be cultivated?” “What lights the match of hate?”
"Unfortunately, her guest wasn’t Robert Spencer and she wasn’t trying to expose the root cause of jihad.
"Instead, she was interviewing Rabbi Jeffery Myers of the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh and baiting him without relent to blame President Trump for the carnage. But the rabbi wouldn’t have it and she looked the desperate fool."
. . . "The media has one thing and one thing only that is aims to achieve: advance leftist goals and pummel conservatives at every turn. And they will say whatever it takes to get the job done – even if it means baiting a Rabbi to blame President Trump for the behavior of a nutcase anti-Semite.
"What a loathsome lot.!"

Why does the media let Obama get away with such bald faced lying on the stump?

Let's hope James Woods keeps working in Hollywood.*

Jack Hellner
During Obama’s eight years, he repeatedly ginned up racial hate and derision towards cops. The best example was Ferguson, Missouri, where so many, especially journalists, pushed the fictional “hands up, don’t shoot” narrative”. How much violence and shootings of law enforcement have occurred because of the fictional narrative?
Right off the top of my head, I can think of five policemen here in the Dallas area. Perhaps CNN can name us more: CNN? CNN? . . .

"When I see former President Obama and others lecturing Trump about lying, bragging that no one got charged in the Obama administration, blaming Trump for political and racial division and claiming credit for the booming economy, I long for journalists who will correct the record. Sadly, there aren’t many out there so I will try to do their job.
"The first thing that needs to be corrected is when Obama is given credit for bringing us out of the 2008 recession. The truth is that the economy came out in June 2009, 110 days after Obama took office -- before any of his policies could have had an effect on the economy. Three main things brought the economy out. 1. TARP where banks and others were loaned money (that they mostly paid back) to shore up their capital base.  2. The Federal Reserve rapidly dropping interest rates and injecting massive amounts of liquidity into the markets. 3. Rapidly dropping oil prices. Obama had little or nothing to do with those policies or actions.

"In the summer of 2008, gasoline prices shot up to over $4 per gallon for no justifiable reason. The price rise acted as a massive tax hike on all individuals and businesses. In the fall of 2008, Bush opened up drilling and by the time Obama took office, the price had collapsed to under $2 per gallon, reinvigorating purchasing power. One of the first things Obama did was to again block the drilling, reversing the positive effects.
"Obama’s policies actually gave the U.S. the slowest economic recovery in seventy years, despite massive government spending increases, punishingly low interest rates and running up almost $10 Trillion in debt." . . .

Tell us again: So why did Congressman Joe Wilson of Arkansas get in trouble for yelling "You Lie!" at Obama during his State of the Union address?

*Looks to me like Wikipedia editors have attempted to torch Mr. Woods. Remember anybody can edit Wikipedia and the left is full of people who will seek retribution against Republicans for being, well, Republicans. TD

Heard of the term "False Flag"?

Genghis Gary.
WantToKnow.info  "False flag terrorism" occurs when elements within a government stage a secret operation whereby government forces pretend to be a targeted enemy while attacking their own forces or people. The attack is then falsely blamed on the enemy in order to justify going to war against that enemy. Or as Wikipedia defines it:
False flag operations are covert operations conducted by governments, corporations, or other organizations, which are designed to deceive the public in such a way that the operations appear as if they are being carried out by other entities. The name is derived from the military concept of flying false colors; that is, flying the flag of a country other than one's own. False flag operations are not limited to war and counter-insurgency operations, and have been used in peace-time; for example, during Italy's strategy of tension.
"The term comes from the old days of wooden ships, when one ship would hang the flag of its enemy before attacking another ship in its own navy. Because the enemy's flag was hung instead of the flag of the real country of the attacking ship, it was called a "false flag" attack.
9/11 Note: For those wanting to explore the possibility of 9/11 as a false flag operation, click here.
"Historical False Flag Attacks
"There are many examples of false flag attacks throughout history. For example, it is widely known that the Nazis, in Operation Himmler, faked attacks on their own people and resources which they blamed on the Poles, to justify the invasion of Poland. And it has now been persuasively argued — as shown, for example, in this History Channel video — that Nazis set fire to their own parliament, the Reichstag, and blamed that fire on others. The Reichstag fire was the watershed event which justified Hitler's seizure of power and suspension of liberties." . . .

Vandals Shot Up a Republican Headquarters Office in Florida

Yes, that's what this press called the shooting: "vandalized"! Nothing to see here, folks; keep moving on.
Wonder how many acts of vandalism occurred overnight on the streets of Chicago.  TD

Legal Insurrection
“It’s a small strip center and no other business was vandalized, so it was obviously politically motivated.”

Can everyone CALM DOWN? Those who work and volunteer at the Volusia County’s Republican Party headquarters, located in Florida, discovered their office vandalized.
Vandals shot out the windows and people discovered four bullet holes inside the office.
Inside, volunteers pointed to bullet holes in the walls and ceiling.
“We have never had any kind of vandalism before at a Republican Headquarters,” Tony Ledbetter, the chairman of Volusia County’s Republican Party, said in an email Monday morning. “It’s a small strip center and no other business was vandalized, so it was obviously politically motivated.”
Ledbetter said he was the last to leave the GOP headquarters at 4 p.m. Sunday and workers in the adjacent businesses, including an e-cigarette store, a restaurant and a massage business, had closed by 10 p.m. No one heard shots fired and there were no injuries.
That means the incident took place after 4PM on Sunday. Police Captain Mark Cheatham said law enforcement has determined “at least four rounds were fired into the building” and they’re still tracking down video. They do not have any witnesses.

A master smackdown for Kamala Harris on Twitter

American Thinker

"Democrats have been puffing and bloviating and making political hay off the appalling mass shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue, but few can match the sanctimonious hypocrisy of California's junior senator, Kamala Harris, who tweeted:
We have to speak truth about the fact that racism exists in our country and anti-Semitism exists in our country. We need to speak truth about that and deal with it.
"This earned her this impressive smackdown from Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit on Twitter (who had been last seen smacking down smarmy hipster narrative-echo chamberman Ben Rhodes), drawing nearly 6,000 retweets and 15,000 likes:
Keith Ellison is your party cochair.

On the Ellen Show, Kamala Harris Jokes about Killing Trump, Pence, Sessions
Democratic senator Kamala Harris joked about killing President Trump and members of his administration in a Thursday appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show.“If you had to be stuck in an elevator with either President Trump, Mike Pence, or Jeff Sessions, who would it be?” DeGeneres asked Harris during a series of random, mostly cheery questions she read from cards.Harris made a displeased face and asked Ellen, “Does one of us have to come out alive?”
May we assume this Ellen studio sign then lit up?

Craziness: Bomb Suspect Cesar Sayoc And Stormy Daniels Worked at the Same Strip Club

Beth Baumann

"In a really strange turn of events, it has been discovered that bombing suspect Cesar Sayoc worked at Ultra Gentleman's Club in West Palm Beach, FL, the same strip club that Stormy Daniels performed at back in April, WPTV reported.

"Sayoc worked as a DJ at the club on Thursday afternoon and was arrested on Friday.
"According to the club's manager, Stacey Saccal, Sayoc had worked as a DJ for the past two months. She had received no complaints about him from other staff members and he seemed like a "nice guy."

" 'I never knew that his van was covered in political stickers. I thought it was an ice cream truck," Saccal told WPTV, noting that he parked far from the club.

"Saccal also said her employees had no idea that Sayoc was political. He never talked about politics at work and no one noticed the stickers on his van because of how far away he parked when he had a shift.

" Fellow DJ Scott Migs said Sayoc brought two duffle backs and a cooler to work with him on Thursday night. He stashed them behind the DJ booth. Migs said he's unsure if any weapons were in the duffle bags.

"According to Saccal, employees were shocked when they learned about Sayoc's actions. Everyone felt he was a nice guy and they all thought they knew him.

"Stormy Daniels performed at the same strip club back in April, which just so happened to coincide with President Donald Trump's visit. Interestingly enough, this strip club sits across the street from Trump's golf course.

" Is all of this mere coincidence or a coordinated attack against President Trump?

'Respond to Hate With Love': Muslim Organizations Raise Thousands to Benefit Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting Victims

'Respond to Hate With Love': Muslim Organizations Raise Thousands to Benefit Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting Victims  "As Pittsburgh continues to reel from a tragic weekend, a Muslim-led effort has begun a crowdfunded campaign to raise money for the victims of Saturday’s synagogue shooting.
"Posted on LaunchGood, a Muslim-focused crowdfunding site, the effort aims to help support the short-term needs of victims and their families by raising money for medical bills, funeral costs and other expenses after a gunman stormed services at Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life Synagogue, killing 11 and wounding 6 before being captured by police.
"The charity drive has already been a success, with organizers claiming to have raised an average of $2,000 per hour since launching the effort on Saturday. Within six hours, the campaign had already reached its initial goal of $25,000. In less than 24 hours, it had broken $50,000.
"Two Muslim-led nonprofits, CelebrateMercy and MPower Change, organized the fundraising drive in partnership with the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh and the Tree of Life Synagogue, which will work together to distribute the funds to victims and their families." . . .
