The power of hate: The impeachment pot is still boiling

Child-woman AOC After Transcript Release: ‘We Have No Choice but to Impeach’

Hollywood supports Tom Steyer's impeachment movement.

Democrat demolition derby continues with Ukraine Zelensky transcript. . . "Since taking control of the House last year, watching the Democrats is not unlike watching a demolition derby.  Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, Green, and the Squad, to name a few, all driving tired, beaten up, divisive narratives, as fresh as a demolition derby car. The question is what is driving the Democrats demolition derby of hysteria over a conversation between Presidents Trump and Zelensky?  A conversation they both know is being listened to, recorded. It is simple.
"Ukraine knows exactly what went transpired between the Obama administration – Obama, Biden and Clinton and the oligarchy of Ukraine. Hunter and Joe Biden, while actions are questionable, are nothing more than a way to distract away from the very real crimes that hurt America.  The collusion of Obama and Clinton, et al., in the creation of the Russian hoax dossier."

Trump's Acting DNI: Cut The Fake News Crap. I'm Not Quitting.
"At 2:44 PM, the Washington Post ran a story, titled, "Acting director of national intelligence threatened to resign if he couldn’t speak freely before Congress on whistleblower complaint." At 3:25 PM, Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire politely issued a statement basically calling this report absolute fake news." . . .
. . . "Swing and a miss. Here is what Maguire told Olivia Gazis at CBS: "At no time have I considered resigning my position since assuming this role on Aug. 16, 2019. I have never quit anything in my life, and I am not going to start now." . . .

WSJ Columnist Torches Every Democratic Talking Point Being Peddled In This Bogus Trump Impeachment Circus

. . . "In the publication’s op-ed section, columnist Kimberley Strassel, who has torched many of the liberal talking points peddled by the Left in their years-long crusade to impeach Trump, went on a lengthy Twitter thread dissecting the latest spate of nonsensical allegations lobbed at the Trump White House over this phone call. One, Trump was asking Ukraine for assistance in a U.S. investigation into 2016 election meddling, and it was the Ukrainians that brought up Biden. This is another “non-smoking gun.” Also, it proved that everyone got this story totally and utterly wrong." . . .

Ukraine president confirms: ‘nobody pushed me’ to probe Biden family

Barack Obama, The Real KING of the QUID PRO QUO

Impeach THIS!  "Democrats, socialists and others with animosity toward this White House say they’ve found the smoking gun in Donald Trump’s released telephone transcript with Ukraine’s president — the supposed quid pro quo nugget of gold — and that it won’t be long now before impeach, impeach, impeach moves from message to reality.
"Hmm. Really now. Funny how after eight years of Barack Obama quid pro quo-ing here, there and everywhere, it’s only now Democrats care.
"It’s only now Democrats seem to have gleaned a sense of conscientiously objecting to what they perceive as abusing one’s high office to obtain political or personal favors.

"Not that Trump’s call with the Ukraine president falls under that header. Hardly."

"House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff may be out and about, trying to make some sort of federal case over the just-released five-page transcript of the telephone conversation by wildly saying, “It is shocking. … What those notes reflect is a classic mafia-like shakedown of a foreign leader.”
"But don’t you believe it. Read it yourself.
"And while reading, in between yawns, consider this, a headline from Green Biz, from March of 2011: “Barack Obama, Clean Tech and the Political Quid Pro Quo.”
"The piece goes on to recount how the Center for Public Integrity published “a long, in-depth look at how some of the Obama campaign’s most prolific fundraisers have gotten loans, grants and special access to [his] administration,” to include a “deep look at how [Steve] Westly, former California state controller and venture capitalist … landed intimate access to the Obama administration.”
"The Westly Group funded, among other companies, Tesla Motors. And all the while he was visiting the White House, serving as a member of the Obama administration’s advisory board on energy policy, and so forth and so on, he was raking in half a billion dollars in loans, grants and stimulus bucks for his green companies. That was money from the Obama Energy Department to Westly, the guy who wined and dined with Obama et al with eyebrow-raising frequency. Corruption? Quid pro quo?" . . .Source:Socio-Political-Journal..

Why Brit Hume Thinks Pelosi's Impeachment Move 'Was Really Quite Clever'

Leah Barkoukis "Fox News’ senior political analyst Brit Hume weighed in on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s announcement of a formal impeachment inquiry, arguing the move “was really quite clever.”
"What Pelosi accomplished, he argued, was to placate the progressive wing of the party while protecting moderates by not actually moving forward with a formal impeachment vote.
" 'It strikes me that the Speaker and the other leaders are under pressure from the left wing of the party and the leftists in their caucus -- who are numerous -- to move ahead here," he said.
" 'The loathing of Donald Trump and the desire to get him out of office is very intense. They've got constituents back home that want to see action taken against Trump in a serious way so it comes down to this."
"He continued: "I think she’s thinking that she needs to be responsive to the needs of her caucus -- look at what she did today, it was really quite clever if you think about it.'   . . .

Adam Schiff Demanded Full Whistleblower Complaint. Now He's Complaining About Its Release.

President Trump's Ukraine Call Transcript Has Been Released and Blows Up the Latest Impeachment Narrative  "The Department of Justice has released an unredacted transcript of a phone call between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The text was taken down by note takers. The call took place in July from the White House Situation Room. It shows no effort by President Trump to pressure Zelensky into investigating former Vice President Joe Biden's son, Hunter, in exchange for military aid. This action was falsely alleged by a whistleblower and pushed Democrats on Capitol Hill into an impeachment inquiry.
" 'There's a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General [Barr] would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it...It sounds horrible to me," Trump said. " . . .

Scoldilocks, Or the Story of Greta Thunberg

The American Spectator
A pair of Scandinavian leftists pimp out their Asperger’s-suffering daughter to push global warming, and chaos ensues

"Monday was the culmination of a year’s worth of programmatic, propagandistic proselytization, as a 16-year-old Swedish child with a developmental disability took to a podium at the United Nations to harangue and insult the leaders of the free world over the supposed “mass extinction” that is coming as a result of global warming.

"Sorry. “Climate change,” as though that is somehow a tragic event; never mind the fact that the climate changes four times per year in something we call “seasons.”

"The 16-year-old, whose name is Greta Thunberg, suffers from Asperger Syndrome, a condition on the autism spectrum. One wouldn’t normally expect someone with Asperger’s to be chosen as the spokesperson for a global movement, given that sufferers from that condition are characteristically lacking in nonverbal communication, struggle with empathy, are typically very uncomfortable around large crowds, obsess pathologically about subjects not under their control, and often engage in long rants without consideration for how they will be received. Thunberg appears to be a more serious case, suffering from depression so severe she once went two months without eating and had to be pulled out of school.

"And yet that’s precisely what the global warming cultists did, plucking this highly susceptible child, juicing her up with all of the bleak Malthusian auguries of an apocalypse less than two decades in the offing, and then featuring her at protest events across Europe before taking the Angry Cassandra Revue transatlantic. Congress was subjected to Thunberg’s scowling, then she addressed the idiotic Climate Strike demonstration late last week before Monday’s tour de gripe.

"And what a show!

“ 'This is all wrong. I shouldn’t be up here. I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean,” she said, in the part of her speech that was actually true. “Yet you all come to us young people for hope. How dare you. You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words." . . .

Michigan woman meets Viet Cong soldier involved in husband’s death

American Military News "When Hattie and Jim Ford went to Vietnam in January, they hoped to learn more about the death of her first husband.
"Lt. Deane Taylor Jr. was fatally shot by the Viet Cong after his Army helicopter crashed during the Vietnam War in 1969.
"What the Fords never expected was to be standing face to face with one of the soldiers who had attacked Taylor.
"The Vietnamese soldier, found after a circuitous search, brought them to the spot where the attack had occurred exactly 50 years earlier.
"It was as if the Fords had stepped into a time machine and were transported to one of the ugliest chapters in American history.
"Surreal, said Hattie, 73, a retired math teacher from Kalamazoo.
"Unfathomable, said husband Jim, 73, a retired lawyer.
“ 'It was a million to one shot,” he said. “We would find this VC soldier, still alive, still in the same hamlet and willing to talk.”
"The former soldier didn’t offer an apology, but the Fords weren’t looking for one." . . .

Trump Ukraine Transcript: Asked for Biden Review, But Made No Mention of Withholding Military Aid

Legal Insurrection  "President Donald Trump released the transcript of his phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that took place on July 25 from 9:03 AM to 9:33 AM.

"It shows that he asked Zelensky for a review on Vice President Joe Biden’s family dealings in Ukraine.

"However, Trump did not threaten to withhold “military aid as part of a quid-pro-quo, as Democrats have suggested in pressing forward with impeachment.”

"You can read the transcript here: WhiteHouse.gov:

"From Fox News:

It begins with the president congratulating Zelensky on his election victory, before Trump eventually broaches the subject former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
“There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great,” Trump said in the phone call. “Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it…It sounds horrible to me.”
That refers to Joe Biden, while vice president, urging Ukraine to fire its top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, while Shokin was investigating the natural gas firm Burisma Holdings — where Hunter Biden was on the board. Biden has maintained that corruption concerns prompted his intervention.

"Zelensky told Trump Ukraine’s new prosecutor would look into the controversy surrounding Biden and his son Hunter Biden working with a Ukrainian company:

“He or she will look into the situation specifically to the company that you mentioned in this issue, the issue of the investigation of the case is actually the issue to restore the honesty so we will take care of that and we will work on the investigation of the case.”
The president told Zelensky he wanted his lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, and Attorney General Bill Barr to get involved.
“I will have Mr. Giuliani give you call and I’m also going to have Attorney General Barr call and we will get to the bottom if it. I’m sure you will figure it out,” he said.

"I see on Twitter people saying it implicates Trump, but it lacks the quid-pro-quo the Democrats latched onto as an excuse for an impeachment inquiry. Supposedly Trump threatened not to hand over $400 million of military aid to Ukraine.

"Yet, in the transcript, Zelensky says the matter of Biden is also important to him:. . . "

Ukraine call transcript shows Trump sought Biden probe, asked about DNC server – but made no mention of US aid
"This refers to Joe Biden, while vice president, urging Ukraine to fire its top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, who was investigating the natural gas firm Burisma Holdings — where Hunter Biden was on the board. Biden has maintained that corruption concerns prompted his intervention.
"Trump, in the run-up to the transcript's release, was accused by Democrats of essentially pressuring a foreign power to investigate a political opponent, as Biden is now a top contender for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.
"On Monday, it was reported that Trump had even ordered his staff to freeze nearly $400 million in aid to Ukraine a few days before the phone call with Zelensky, a detail that fueled impeachment calls and led to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to announce a formal impeachment inquiry Tuesday. But the call transcript does not show Trump mentioning the aid as a bargaining chip or otherwise — though Zelensky did appear to reference military aid early in the call, when he thanked Trump for "great support in the area of defense.' Cory Booker dodges question about Biden's Ukraine ties, says Trump's actions a 'bridge too far'

On Trump, Progressives confused by irony and facts

The NYT published an article asserting 40 “facts” indicting Trump. In truth, each of those “facts” was false or pure opinion based upon intractable bias.

"The New York Times published an article by one of its opinion columnists, David Leonhardt, that purports to indict Trump in a mere 40 sentences, each asserting a supposedly devastating “fact” showing Trump to be a criminal, a fascist, or a fool. Reviewing these 40 sentences, I found that most are premised on erroneous facts, with the remainder relying on underlying assumptions that deserve to be challenged. A fisking is in order.
“He has pressured a foreign leader to interfere in the 2020 American presidential election.”
"'Follow this link and you’ll discover that it refers to the fact that Trump asked the president of Ukraine to finish a legitimate corruption investigation that then-Vice President Biden had
stopped through the use of strong-arm tactics. We know that’s what Biden did because he boasted about it, loud and proud. Of course, reopening the investigation means Ukraine will resume asking questions about Hunter Biden’s business dealings in that country — which is no doubt the reason that Biden stopped the investigation in the first place.
"As one would expect from alleged “news” reports of late, this is absolutely, completely 100% poppycock. John Solomon explains what actually happened — and it had nothing to do with Trump begging for Ukraine to throw the election (emphasis mine):" . . .

Trump releases Ukraine transcript: No proposed deal swap, no military aid mentioned; asks about looking into Biden  . . . “You will see it was a very friendly and totally appropriate call. AL school board votes to keep ‘Go Trump #MAGA’ score board ad despite complaints
"Liberals in Limestone, Alabama are enraged after the school board voted to keep an advertisement next to the high school’s score board that read “Go Trump #MAGA.”
“This is a clear, unambiguous endorsement of a current candidate running for office in a presidential election,” local resident James Hickman ranted on Facebook. “This sign represents paid partisan political speech displayed 365 days a year on public school property.”
"Hickman wrote that he and his wife Sandy “absolutely object” to the Make America Great Again message, but they’re most disgusted that the district “opened the door for local and outside advertisers with deep pockets, plus individuals, seeking to influence our children and our opinions, to purchase advertisements containing all manner of political messages and viewpoints.”
"James and Sandy think everyone should bombard the superintendent and school board members with messages to get their way." . . .

Thomas Lifson: Rudy Giuliani tells Dems they’ve walked into a trap
. . . "It was in the first segment that he gave a preview of what lies ahead, and it is evident that he and his client, President Trump, have been waiting for the right moment to launch their counterattack.

  • “The Democrats have stepped into something way beyond what they realize.”
  • “We’ve lost the FBI… and who knows what else?
  • “They have walked into a trap”
  • “There’s only one reason the Chinese spent all that money: to buy Joe Biden.”
  • He warned, “I have the records,” about the actual corruption of Biden and his son, who he said have provided, ”evidence of guilty knowledge.”
  • This impeachment effort is, “Covering up for what will turn out to be massive corruption in the Obama administration.”
  • “The Clintons enriched themselves in public office to the tune of hundreds of millions.”

The Democrats' Ukraine hoax   "Virtually all the Democrats, past (Harry Reid, Al Gore) and present, who have risen to the top of the party's food chain are blatantly corrupt.  With their silly new ploy, they will only bring attention to their own duplicitous natures.   They are likely counting on the Republicans to, as usual, become frightened of their own shadows and do nothing.  One would think there would be one or two of them in Congress with the courage to fight back but there is only Trump and his growing base of supporters.

"The media, of course, is as culpable as the Democrats, as committed to the undoing of this presidency as the democrats.  They long ago gave up any pretense of journalistic ethics in the belief, stated once by the Mika Brenziski that it is "their job to tell us what to think."  They are propagandists in service to leftism and nothing more." . . .

Video of a bragging Biden trading $1 billion in Ukraine aid for official firing resurfaces amid Trump flap

American Military News  "In the wake of whistleblower complaints that President Donald Trump pressured his Ukrainian counterpart to investigate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, Biden’s own past comments may add a new dynamic to a looming political scandal."
In a video of his 2018 comments at a panel for the Council on Foreign Relations, Biden seemingly admitted to withholding military aid to Ukraine as a pressure tactic to force the firing of a prosecutor he did not like. Biden’s comments may see new scrutiny amid whistleblower allegations Trump improperly called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Biden.
"On Tuesday, Trump repeated denials of allegations he withheld $391 million in military aid during a July call with his Ukrainian counterpart to elicit an investigation of Biden. Trump instead claimed the funds were only paused out of unspecified concerns of corruption in the Ukraine and concerns other European allies weren’t also helping Ukraine. He added that the funds were eventually paid in full and he made no effort to pressure the Ukrainian president.  .
"The specific allegations of Trump’s alleged pressuring techniques may follow corruption allegations against Biden himself. In Biden’s 2018 comments before the CFR panel, the former Vice President appeared to admit to withholding a $1 billion loan agreement for Ukraine while carrying out a 2016 diplomatic visit on behalf of then-President Barrack Obama.
"In his panel comments, Biden appeared to suggest he withheld a $1 billion loan guarantee for Ukraine unless Ukrainian government officials agreed to fire a prosecutor investigating the Ukrainian gas company, Burisma Holdings.
"Biden said he received a commitment prior to a Ukraine visit, but upon arrival, he learned the prosecutor was still in place. In his comments before the CFR panel, he said he would not release the funding measure unless Ukrainian government officials acted immediately on the matter.
“ 'I said we’re not going to give you the billion dollars. They said ‘you can’t do that, you have no authority, you’re not the president,'” Biden remarked. “I said call [President Obama], I told you you’re not getting a billion dollars.” . . .

Impeachment: "What do we want?" Bah blah- blah..."When do we want it" " BLAH!"

Trump Will Release Transcripts of Conversation With Ukrainian President Zelensky
"Tuesday, Trump announced via Twitter that he would release the “complete, fully declassified and unredacted transcript of my phone conversation with President Zelensky of Ukraine.” In this particular conversation, Trump has been accused of pressuring Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Biden, whose son’s company received favorable business dealings with Ukrainians while Biden was in office."
"Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans have used the Ukraine allegations to bolster their case for impeachment, even though President Zelensky has said he was not pressured by Trump and up to this point, those calling for impeachment have no actual details about the conversation that remains (in their minds) an impeachable offense.

"Professor Jacobson blogged: . . .

Watch Joe Biden Brag About Bribing Ukraine To Fire The Prosecutor Investigating His Son’s Company  "The media has had a field day over new hearsay accusations that President Trump was wrong to ask Ukranian leaders to investigate political corruption related to Joe Biden. Predictably, several House Democrats have used this news cycle to again demand Trump’s impeachment.
"While the whistleblower complaint is based on hearsay, we do know that Joe Biden, while serving as vice president, pressured the Ukrainian government to fire the prosecutor who was investigating his son’s company." . . .
Democrats Rush To Impeach Trump Without Viewing Alleged ‘Whistleblower’ Complaint Or Transcripts  . . . "Impeachment is a risk for Democrats, however, as the public remains opposed to the measure. Let's get real: Democrats were first to enlist Ukraine in US elections

The Hill  "Earlier this month, during a bipartisan meeting in Kiev, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) delivered a pointed message to Ukraine’s new president, Volodymyr Zelensky.

"While choosing his words carefully, Murphy made clear — by his own account — that Ukraine currently enjoyed bipartisan support for its U.S. aid but that could be jeopardized if the new president acquiesced to requests by President Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani to investigate past corruption allegations involving Americans, including former Vice President Joe Biden’s family.

"Murphy boasted after the meeting that he told the new Ukrainian leader that U.S. aid was his country’s “most important asset” and it would be viewed as election meddling and “disastrous for long-term U.S.-Ukraine relations” to bend to the wishes of Trump and Giuliani.

" 'I told Zelensky that he should not insert himself or his government into American politics. I cautioned him that complying with the demands of the President's campaign representatives to investigate a political rival of the President would gravely damage the U.S.-Ukraine relationship. There are few things that Republicans and Democrats agree on in Washington these days, and support for Ukraine is one of them," Murphy told me today, confirming what he told Ukraine's leader." . . .

Scaramucci: Trump is 'gone' and 'done' ...

OBSESSED: Nets Bang Impeachment Drum 73 Times in a Day  "Over the span of just 26 hours on Monday and Tuesday, the network morning and evening newscasts featured mentions of impeachment a stunning 73 times while hyping the controversy over President Trump’s July phone call with the president of Ukraine.

"After the NBC, ABC, and CBS morning shows included a combined 17 mentions of impeachment on Monday, the evening news broadcasts that night continued to push the narrative with 16 more mentions. By Tuesday morning, it became an avalanche, with the network broadcasts touting the I-word a whopping 40 times. Out of the 73 mentions, only two (2.7%) suggested impeachment was a "divisive" move that could "backfire politically" on Democrats." . . .
