Schiff's next targets after Trump, Devin Nunes and the Republicans

With the full support of news media and Hollywood.

Adam Schiff's other impeachment target: Devin Nunes  "Rep. Devin Nunes is the most effective dismantler of all the calculated "narratives" and pre-scripted attacks against President Trump.  He's the one who revealed how these things cranked into gear well before Trump was elected and which have now shifted to the Rep. Adam Schiff impeachment bid.  If something's going on, Nunes has a way of finding it.  If Democrats would like you to think the "whistleblower" report was just some spontaneous effort by some "concerned" public servant instead of a pre-co-ordinated bid to Get Trump, nobody takes these things down like Nunes" . . .

This particular aspect of Schiff’s efforts appears to have no purpose other than to smear and/or sideline Nunes
Schiff is a lout and a liar. This particular aspect of Schiff’s efforts appears to have no purpose other than to smear and/or sideline Nunes, who has established himself as the Republicans’ most valuable player in deconstructing Schiff shows past and present.
Nunes sues CNN over 'demonstrably false' Ukraine report  . . . "Rep. Devin Nunes, the ranking Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, has filed a $435 million defamation suit against CNN over a story that alleged Nunes met with a fired Ukrainian prosecutor in an effort to dig up dirt on Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
"The story — "Giuliani associate willing to tell Congress Nunes met with ex-Ukrainian official to get dirt on Biden" — was published Nov. 22. It was based on the words of Joseph Bondy, the attorney for Ukrainian-born Lev Parnas, who worked closely with Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani in pursuing allegations of Ukrainian efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election as well as allegations of corruption in Ukraine involving Biden's son Hunter. Parnas is currently under indictment on campaign finance charges." . . .

Christmas for CNN! Trump hits back after Trudeau appears to mock him in NATO summit video.

Fox News  "President Trump slammed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Wednesday as "two-faced" after video surfaced of some of the world's top leaders at the NATO summit in London appearing to laugh at his expense.
"Asked about the video during a bilateral meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Trump said of Trudeau, “he’s two-faced.”

"Trump then abruptly canceled a planned news conference with reporters in London. "When today’s meetings are over, I will be heading back to Washington," Trump tweeted. "We won’t be doing a press conference at the close of NATO because we did so many over the past two days. Safe travels to all!' "
. . .
"In a video shared by the Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC), Trudeau, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and French President Emmanuel Macron are seen with others, including Princess Anne, having a conversation at a reception at the Buckingham Palace about a press conference earlier in the day.
"Trump had made an impromptu conference and weighed in on the ongoing impeachment inquiry as well as the fiery exchange he had with Macron over France not taking back any ISIS fighters.
""Is that why you were late?" Boris smirked to Macron.
"He was late because he takes a 40-minute press conference off the top — 'Oh, ya, ya ya,'" Trudeau said, later adding, "You just watched his team's jaws drop to the floor." . . .

NATO leaders apparently mocking Trump in video proof America 'cannot be trusted' by allies, Cory Booker says  “ 'On the world stage, [Trump] just insulted, called the leader of Canada, our most essential ally who has been there with us in every conflict since 9/11, standing in partnership with us in so many ways, to just throw out a school-yard taunt, or punch, like that… [it] stunned me,” Booker said.

Hillary claims she is 'deluged' [with requests that she run for president]

Thomas Lifson  "It looks a lot as though Hillary Clinton is hoping for a deadlocked Democratic National Convention, and that Michelle Obama means it when she says that she's not interested in running for president.  Hillary would love to be begged to save her party from a split between the radicals and the less-radicals and take the stage in Milwaukee as the Democrats' nominee (again), this time visiting Wisconsin.
"Simon Kent of Breitbart caught her appearance on the BBC's Graham Norton Show, where before a friendly host and wildly applauding studio audience she praised a women's soccer star who stepped aside to let younger talent take the field before doing a 180 and, when asked if she applies this to her own career, responded, "Not yet." . . .

Maybe she understands that there are a lot of Democrats who resent the rabbit hole she has led them down with her claims of Russian interference leading to the Mueller investigation that whetted the demands for impeachment while simultaneously discrediting such efforts.  Now they are stuck with a choice between alienating their radical base by dropping impeachment and alienating the unaffiliated swing voters, who are likely to be turned off by what will come out in a Senate trial.
Yet Epstein was obsessed with cameras and obviously blackmail.  He roped in Prince Andrew.  But the real question is to what extent he got the Clintons.  With all these new revelations rolling out, why is the press silent?
Hillary Clinton Becomes a Punchline for Establishment Dems  " . . . but odds are she'll have the last laugh when she's standing on the convention floor in Milwaukee next summer as the "unity candidate," once the fractured, demoralized Democratic Party comes to its senses and concludes that she really is the best it has to offer."

Kamala Harris 2020 Staffer Says She Never Saw Campaign Staff Treated 'So Poorly'

http://www.terrellaftermath.com/
Reason  "Things continue to go awry for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. In early November, the California senator's campaign announced a round of layoffs and pay cuts. Now state operations director Kelly Mehlenbacher has resignedand her farewell letter offers a scathing glimpse inside Harris' operation.
" 'This is my third presidential campaign and I have never seen an organization treat its staff so poorly," Mehlenbacher wrote in the letter obtained by The New York Times. "With less than 90 days until Iowa we still do not have a real plan to win."
" 'We have refused to confront our mistakes, foster an environment of critical thinking and honest feedback, or trust the expertise of talented staff," Mehlenbacher's letter continued.
"The Times interviewed "50 current and former campaign staff members and allies, most of whom spoke on condition of anonymity." Their takeway? Harris' swift dropwhich the campaign and its allies have blamed on racism and sexismwas both predictable and largely divorced from larger cultural or political forces:" . . .

. . . "Her record as a prosecutor showed even more sorry stuff for women and black people. She kept prisoners in prison beyond their terms as Attorney General of California in order to help some bureaucrat get the forest fighting help they needed. She condoned sleazy lies and invented testimony by corrupt local district attorneys in order to suck up to local power or else make herself, as was part of the fashion at the time, to look tough on crime.
"She seemed incapable of honesty on anything, and not just honesty but competence. Was it a red flag to anyone that Miss Me-Too harbored an expensive sex-harasser in one of her most important staff positions as California's AG? Or that she had some deal for free limo service from the LAPD?" . . .

Trump Trolls Kamala Harris For Dropping Out Of Presidential Race  . . . "In her statement announcing the end of her campaign, Harris said, “And our campaign uniquely spoke to the experiences of Black women and people of color — and their importance to the success and future of this party. Our campaign demanded no one should be taken for granted by any political party.' ”. . .

Harris has had life experiences different from those of many black Americans. Her father is a Jamaican immigrant; her mother is a Tamil Indian immigrant. Her husband is a white man from New York. While she was born in Oakland — a city with a rich history of African American activism — Harris spent her early childhood in Berkeley, Calif., and worshiped at a Hindu temple in addition to attending black Baptist services. She attended high school in Montreal before returning to the United States for college at Howard University, a historically black college. These differences may help explain why some voters want to know more about her background. Some want to know that she understands some of the issues affecting black Americans since the emancipation of slaves. Harris has said that she supports reparations for the descendants of black people who were enslaved in the United States.
Sooooo, does she pledge to pay reparations?  Or receive them from us?
Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris is descended from Irish slave owner Hamilton Brown, and here: Kamala Harris’ Jamaican Family were Slave Owners, her Policies as AG were No Different…#NeverKamala

SLAVE REGISTERS FROM LONDON Name The Slaves Kamala Harris’ Ancestor Owned  . . . "Hamilton Brown was not only a slave owner, but also an engineer of mass Irish migration to Jamaica after the British empire abolished slavery in 1834.
"Jamaican Family Search recorded: “Hamilton Brown owned several plantations over the years 1817 to about 1845. According to the 1818 Almanac which can be found on this site, (Jamaican Family Search) , he was the owner of Minard (128 slaves) which he must have acquired from its previous owner (John Bailie) in 1815 or later. The number of slaves on this estate approximates the number of slaves in one of the registers attributed to his ownership (124 slaves)." . . .

Kamala Harris:’After We Impeach, We Round Up The Trump Supporters

"Woke' may work in California but.....  "Most of Harris’s reversals suggest a campaigner who wanted to be the woke dream candidate, but then belatedly recognized that woke positions might not be as popular or workable as she initially believed them to be."

Everything that is wrong with American politics is summed up in Kamala Harris. She’s a weather vane. She’s dishonest. She’s a coward. She’s condescending. And she’s a phony. She’s the answer to no useful or virtuous question. Nothing good has come from her election. She has nothing of value to offer America. Goodbye. Bad luck. That’s all, folks.

No Democrat came into Congress wanting to impeach President Trump. Really.

Trump said Pelosi told him Friday, "'We're not looking to impeach you.'"  CNN
Wallace Fact Checks Rep. Hakeem Jeffries After Trying To Claim Dems Haven’t Been Pushing Impeachment Since Moment Trump Took Office…

. . . "Her office also released a statement Friday, saying, "The Congresswoman absolutely believes he needs to be impeached."
" 'She ran and won by making this very clear to the voters in her district," the statement said. "Donald Trump's actions have harmed the 13th Congressional District and this country, and Congresswoman Tlaib will not stay silent while this happens."
"Tlaib also penned an op-ed Thursday arguing that "the time for impeachment proceedings is now.' " . . .

You're Not Imagining It: The Media Really Is Biased About Impeaching Donald Trump

PJ Media  "Media watchdog NewsBusters breaks it down for us. In a study released this week, NewsBusters reports that major networks gave dozens of hours of coverage to the impeachment hearings against President Trump, but in 1998 they gave a fraction of that amount of coverage to Ken Starr's impeachment presentation against President Clinton:
Broadcast networks NBC, CBS, and ABC have donated 75 hours of free air time to Democrats’ impeachment hearings, despite notably poor (and consistently shrinking) ratings. Yet during President Clinton’s impeachment, these same networks could not be bothered to carry more than a few hours of independent counsel Ken Starr’s one-day presentation of the evidence against Clinton on November 19, 1998.
By contrast back in November of 1998, NBC aired a paltry 26 percent (194 minutes) of Starr’s 12.5 hours of testimony on Capitol Hill. CBS covered 42 percent of the hearing (314 minutes), while ABC broadcast 36 percent (272 minutes).
"One wonders what motivates the alphabet networks, given the pathetic ratings achieved. Perhaps they've misread their consumers once again? In another report, NewsBusters dove into the ratings and showed that despite tremendous buildup and anticipation, the first few days of impeachment hearings achieved a fraction of the coverage of the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings in 2018: . . ."

Schiff and Nadler, the hanging judges

Rich Terrell
Schiff for President  . . . "The only thing they want is to Get Trump.
"The one guy who's helping along on that front, Rep. Adam Schiff, whose dank basement hearings have yielded a rushed "report," is now a rising star." . . .
Impeachment witness list loaded with Trump critics . . . "A fourth witness listed by Democrats, but possibly requested by the GOP, is George Washington University Law School professor Jonathan Turley, who has criticized how Democrats have handled the impeachment process." . . .
BARR: House Democrat Impeachment Rules Are Made For A Lynch Mob, Not A Legitimate Proceeding . . . "Notwithstanding the change in venue, the proceedings are still a farce. They bear only surface resemblance to those in which I (and Nadler) participated 21 years ago." . . .

Trump lawyers to Jerry Nadler: We won’t participate in your sham Wednesday law professor hearing  . . . "The impeachment torch is about to be passed from Adam Schiff (House Intelligence Committee) to Jerry Nadler (House Judiciary Committee).
"Nadler scheduled a “hearing” for Wednesday, but it’s not an evidentiary hearing and the witnesses (as of this writing) are unknown.
"What is known it that there will be three pro-impeachment law professors called by Democrats to opine on what constitutes an impeachable offense. (Spoiler — if Democrats are calling the law professors, they will opine that anything and everything Trump did is an impeachable offense). Republicans will be allowed one legal expert to say the opposite.
"In other words, it’s a show hearing, meant to give the pro-impeachment mainstream media a news cycle dominated (by numbers) by pro-impeachment opinions.
"Trump’s lawyers sent a letter tonight to Nadler rejecting the premise and procedure of the hearing, and refusing to participate. Politico reports:
The White House informed House Democrats on Sunday that it will not participate in the Judiciary Committee’s first impeachment hearing, excoriating Democrats’ impeachment inquiry as a “baseless” and “partisan” exercise in scathing five-page letter to the panel’s chairman.

Are You Ready For Presidential Candidate Adam Schiff?

Hot Air

"It’s not going to happen this election cycle, however, there is speculation California Congressman Adam Schiff is looking towards higher office. The only question is how high. A new report from The Hill suggests Schiff has his eyes on either the Senate or a future residency in the White House.
Some Democrats see him as the natural heir to 86-year-old Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.); others say the 19-year Southern California congressman is a House guy through and through and could one day run to succeed Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), his close ally. One of his House colleagues from the Golden State said she saw a president in the making as Schiff led the televised hearings these past two weeks.“When we look at the characteristics of what we want to see in a president, it is somebody who is not going to lose composure because he’s been poked. And we’re seeing that on display from Adam Schiff every single day,” said the California Democratic lawmaker. “He’s not too vanilla. But I kind of want that now after Trump. We need boring; boring is good.”
"Schiff obviously isn’t boring but someone who appears to be doing his best to be a Very Serious Politician when he’s far from it. He proved it last week in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper where he spoke from both sides of his mouth on the impeachment question. Tapper asked Schiff directly if he believed President Donald Trump should be impeached and the answer was, “I want to discuss this with my constituents and my colleagues before I make a final judgment on it.' ” . . .

Joe Biden ramps up the 'ick' factor with his latest leg-hair story

Monica Showalter
"Is Joe Biden in an early stage of dementia?  How does anyone explain this?"

Joe Biden munches wife Jill's finger at Iowa campaign stop

. . .
"Coming on the heels of his recent "finger-biting" episode, one really wonders whether this guy is in his right mind.  It sure explains why President Obama isn't endorsing him.
No filter here.
"It sounds as though he's growing demented.  People who work in nursing homes say the very aged with dementia issues often speak to staff with "no filters," as their mental affliction can affect their social judgment.
"That's what Biden sounds like now.  Nobody talks like that who's in a sound state of mind.  Trump would probably have a hard time making fun of him at this point because it looks as though he's simply unfit to be president.
This leg-hair incident shows that this guy isn't just gaffe-prone and generally creepy to start, but actually needs to get help."
Biden-Ryan debate
Bumbling Biden’s Bunches of Malarkey  . . . "Joe’s main draw is comfort — plain and simple. People know him. He’s a familiar face to all age groups. The man knows Washington like the back of a woman’s shoulders, boasting five decades of D.C. experience. He is a reset button for (relatively) moderate Democrats. These merely non-radical voters pine for the Obama era, and Biden is their relic. He knows this, hence the frequent, strategic references to his partnership with 44 -- “my friend, Barack.” Thus, while Biden’s debate performances have been mediocre at best, this Obamastalgia may shield him just enough to survive the swipes of the hard Left. Iranian revolt exposes Obama's mistakes

L. Todd Wood - - Thursday, August 2, 2018

. . . "These protests are real. They are the product of genuine discontent from the people of Iran, not fomented by outside groups. They are happening without the support of American troops. In other words, the people of Iran want to take care of this themselves.
"What these brave Iranians do need is our moral support — and continued financial pressure on the regime. If President Trump and his administration can take away the ability of the mullahs to enrich themselves and steal from the Iranian people, he will have done the Iranian people a great service. Shutting down Iranian oil exports and removing Iran’s ability to use the global banking system will create the conditions for regime change from within Iran.
"The Obama administration, betting on engagement over confrontation with the mullahs, knew very well the power of U.S. economic pressure. It knew the regime could not handle long-term financial sanctions that Congress was determined to impose. That is why Mr. Obama worked so hard to get a deal — any deal — that would provide sanctions relief for Tehran.
"Now there is a new sheriff in town".  . . .  Not a new sheriff; there is a sheriff in town now.

Iranian activist says unrest is 'totally different' from past protests against regime
"Iranian activist and journalist Masih Alinejad appeared on "The Story with Martha MacCallum" Monday to discuss the unrest in Iran and the hundreds of protesters killed by the government's brutal crackdown, saying the movement opposing Tehran's authoritarian regime could topple the country's theocratic regime." . . .
"Alinejad told MacCallum "more than 500 people" were killed.
"The activist also described the protest scenes in Iran, saying a 27-year-old protester was filming one demonstration when he was shot in the head in front of his mother. Alinejad also became emotional as MacCallum played a video of her brother telling her to continue highlighting the protest movement in Iran.
"Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other Iranian leaders have blamed the United States for the protests, something Alinejad disputed.
" 'Why don't we hear any single slogan against America in the streets of Iran and across Iran?" Alinejad said. "So that is why I have to say that people are suffering from corruption. People actually are witnessing that.' " . . .

Iranian Women Fight for Freedom
  • "The Islamic Republic authorities say 'compulsory hijab' is the law and must be obeyed. However, bad laws must be challenged and changed." — Masih Alinejad, Iranian-American journalist and award-winning activist.
  • "The basis of this tyranny is the religious law that the government has been enforcing since the 1979 revolution. Women are second-class citizens, and essentially slaves in Iran. The international community needs to have the courage to delegitimize religious law and call it out for its tyrannical nature. Just as the free world delegitimized communism during the Cold War, it should do the same to religious law." — Nasrin Mohammadi, author of Ideas and Lashes: The Prison Diary of Akbar Mohammadi, about the torture and death in prison of her late brother; to Gatestone Institute.

Kellyanne Conway Just Made Adam Schiff an Offer on Impeachment Testimony

Katie Pavlich

"Speaking to reporters from the White House Monday morning, Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway offered to testify as a witness in the Democrats' impeachment inquiry if House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff does the same." . . .
. . .
"The White House replied on deadline and will not be sending any participants.
"Before leaving for the NATO Summit in in London Monday morning, President Trump called the impeachment inquiry a "hoax."
" 'The whole thing is a hoax. Everybody knows it. All you have to do is look at the words of the Ukrainian president that he just issued, and you know it's a hoax. It's an absolute disgrace what they're doing to our country," he said." . . .

Jerry Nadler and company were not happy

. . . "As Cipollone explained, there are a few problems. In his letter to Nadler, the White House counsel rejected the Democrats’ argument that their impeachment inquiry is affording President Trump the same due process that President Clinton got during his impeachment proceedings. For instance, during that 1990s scandal, the Judiciary Committee allowed committee members two and a half weeks to prepare their questions. As Cipollone points out, the hearing was scheduled for only five days out from the day they received Nadler’s latest invitation.
“ 'Today, by contrast, you have afforded the president no scheduling input, no meaningful information, and so little time to prepare that you have effectively denied the Administration a fair opportunity to participate,” Cipollone notes." . . .
