Biden Takes Questions From Reporters On Pre-Approved List…

 Weasel Zippers

Since 2021: Biden Using a Pre-approved List of Reporters to Call on Has Critics Asking One Question (townhall.com)   . . ."While this is far from the first time he’s relied on a pre-approved list of reporters to take questions from, and he makes no effort to hide it (in Geneva, for example, during a visit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Biden said “as usual, folks, they gave me a list of the people I’m going to call on”), the tactic is raising the question among critics of who’s really in charge.

"Who is calling the shots behind the curtain?" tweeted Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN).Others wondered the same."

"I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments by those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations." -James Madison

. . ."Our system of justice, once the best in the world, is badly broken.  Criminals, even one like Quintez Brown, who tried to murder a mayoral candidate in Louisville, Ky., are bailed out by BLM, and good cops who kill career criminals are in prison.  One would think all such cases would place cops on the side of the folks who support them, who oppose defunding, who oppose vax mandates.  But, as we have seen in Australia, New Zealand, the U.K., Canada, and here in the U.S., that is not the case.

"Too many cops are choosing the side that uses and abuses them.  Go figure.  One can understand their anger at the ingratitude shown to them, but why align with the despots and not the people?  If the Australian, New Zealand, American, and Canadian police had stood up for the people they are tasked to protect, everything would be different right now.  There would be no protests, and the mandates would be over.  Our cops are brave, but they need to be a bit more courageous and be on the side of freedom."

Ezra Levant knows a thing or two about Canadian authorities and repression!  Ezra Levant: If the truckers formed a political party, it'd be the most popular in Canada | Israel National News - Arutz Sheva

Mr. Levant has sad experience with the dark side of Canada's authorities going back decades.   "That’s the word from the man himself, tucked into a 15-minute interview with Shire Network News on smiley-face fascism that’s smiling less than it used to these days. Take advantage of the slow news morn that’s upon us and listen to him describe just how astonishingly broad the human rights commission’s powers of discovery are. Thoughtcrime offenses aren’t the only Orwellian aspect of the system. Skip ahead to
about 13:30 and take it from there, paying special attention to what he says about denormalizing the calculated, chummy “how are ya” posture of the proceedings.

The main barrier to getting rid of the commissions: The perception that to do so would be to oppose “human rights.” A final, fitting Orwellian flourish."

‘You Have to Give Us Respect’: How Asian Americans Fueled the San Francisco Recall

 The New York Times

The landslide vote to remove three school board members cut across ethnicities and income levels. But Chinese American voters and volunteers were crucial to victory, organizers say.

. . ."Chinese voters were also upset by tweets by Alison Collins, one of the recalled school board members, that were unearthed during the campaign. Ms. Collins said Asian Americans used “white supremacist thinking to assimilate and ‘get ahead.’” She went on to compare Asian Americans to slaves who had the advantage of working inside a slave owner’s home instead of doing more grueling labor in the fields, using asterisks to mask an anti-Black racial slur. The tweets reinforced a sentiment among many Chinese voters of being taken for granted, underrepresented and insulted, people involved in the recall campaign said.". . .

Liberals Willfully Deluded Themselves on the Russia Collusion Hoax

The American Spectator | USA News and Politics

They wanted to believe the worst in their political enemies just as they now want to believe the best in their political friends.

Here Are the Liberal Media Clowns Who Totally Thought the Trump Dossier Was Grounded in Truth (townhall.com)

From MSNBC to Newsweek, CNN to The New Yorker, he has all of the greatest hits, some of which venture into tinfoil hat land. Alex Jones and InfoWars are dismissed for their conspiratorial nonsense. Well, there are some characters in this liberal media bubble that have significant platforms that are no different.

Replying to @DrewHolden360...@CNN made it a point to bring up the dossier early and often, and frequently led with the most explosive claims. They even attacked @DevinNunes for being rightfully dubious.

A new Manhattan DA promises a surge of crime, violent and otherwise

AfterMath - Home (terrellaftermath.com)
As for Manhattanites, I pity only the 43,000 or so who voted against Bragg (and, probably, against A.G. Letitia James and Joe Biden, too).  As for the rest, whether they voted or sat out the elections, they've earned what's coming their way.
Andrea Widberg  "Manhattan's newly sworn-in District Attorney started by making a very important announcement: He will no longer be enforcing the law. This is, of course, illegal and should subject him to criminal prosecution at either the state or the federal level. Of course, that won't happen. Instead, Manhattan will become a Mad Max-esque city, so rife with crime that, eventually, all normal life stops.

"When Alvin Bragg ran to be Manhattan's D.A., his slogan was "Justice for All."  In his campaign biography, he explained to the voters that he "has spent the better part of two decades in the courtroom, standing up to the powerful and fighting to get justice."  He spent his career "standing up for tenants' rights, civil rights and human rights."  Additionally, he "served as the first chief of a special unit that investigated police-involved killings."  These are all interesting statements from someone running, not to be a defense attorney or a plaintiff's attorney, but to represent the state of New York and the borough of Manhattan in actions against alleged criminals.

"If you're wondering how someone who clearly does not side with the institution he was supposed to represent ended up getting the job, look no farther than the George Soros connection.  The Color of Change PAC received $1 million from George Soros and, in return, Color of Change successfully spent the money to get Bragg elected.". . .

Durham Probe of Plot Against Trump Grows Damning: 'Someone in Gov Gave Them Permission,' DC Insider Says

Western Journal  "Speculation has emerged that the former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign’s tentacles reached into the Trump White House as part of the conspiracy to smear the 45th president.
"On Friday, special prosecutor John Durham rattled the political world with a court filing that alleged lawyers for the Clinton campaign hired a technology company to infiltrate computer servers and lay a false trail that would implicate the Trump campaign of having contacts with Russia, according to Fox News.
"Durham, hired to investigate the early stages of the Trump-Russia hoax and root out misconduct, has secured the indictment of Michael Sussman, a lawyer who represented the Clinton campaign, who has been accused of lying to the FBI. In November, Democratic operative Igor Danchenko, a contributor to a since-discredited dossier of claims concerning Trump, was charged with five counts of making false statements to the FBI.". . .   More...

Matt Taibbi Blasts Barack Obama As 'One Of The Great Political Liars Of All Time'

A look back at the Bamster's 60th birthday bash and hoping you will take this in its true spirit. TD

Inquisitr     . . ."Taibbi, who publishes on substack, wrote that Obama "extended middle fingers in all directions" by holding the party, as if to show the world who he really is.

"At the last minute, citing COVID-19 concerns, Obama decided to scale back the party and disinvited B-list celebrities and most of his former aides and staffers.

"According to Taibbi, "Obama giving the shove-off to his most devoted (if also scummy and greedy) aides is also such a perfect metaphor for the way he slammed the door in the faces of the millions of ordinary voters who once so desperately believed in him."  . . .

Discussing Bidenomics

As the economic outlook gets uglier, Biden blames everyone but himself - American Thinker  "Earlier this week, the Biden administration was presented with some grim news.  Inflation increased to a staggering 9.7% for the year ending January, much higher than forecasted.  Consumer prices also increased by 7.5%, the highest annual rate in four decades.  Despite promises by Biden to reduce inflation, it has continued to increase, putting more pressure on Americans to pay for everyday goods.  In addition, Biden piled on more bad news for Americans, indicating that Russia's suspected invasion of Ukraine will further increase gas prices, which are already at an eight-year high." . . .

  1. Why is Biden blaming everyone else for his failed economic policies?  It is no secret that Biden's domestic agenda has utterly failed at every turn.  With the 2022 midterm elections coming up, he has to find a villain to blame for the depleting economy.  The Democrats are projected to sustain heavy losses in the House and Senate this year, and he has to stop the bleeding as quickly as possible.
Inflation Is Costing Households $250/Month, Moody’s Analysis Finds - Foundation for Economic Education (fee.org)   "Inflation is making headlines again this week. The federal government’s latest data show that consumer price rose 7.5 percent from January 2021 to 2022. That’s the highest rate of price inflation we’ve seen in nearly 40 years!
"What does this mean for everyday American families?
"new analysis from Moody’s Analytics reports that the average US household is paying an additional $250 a month thanks to this inflation.". . .

Durham makes allegations that make Watergate look like small potatoes

Image from Reality Bites by Broc Smith.

Andrea Widberg  "On Friday, Special Counsel John Durham filed with the D.C. Federal District Court a what should have been a boring conflict of interest motion, but it hid a surprise: The Clinton campaign, through Perkins Coie, spied on Trump both before and after he was president. The following is a plain English-language summary of relevant parts of the motion:

Michael Sussman was a partner at Law Firm-1 (i.e., Perkins Coie). He met with the FBI General Counsel (i.e., James Baker), and offered data and “white papers” purporting to show that Trump was communicating covertly with a Russia-based bank (i.e., Alfa-Bank). Mueller, incidentally, had to admit this was untrue.

"Durham indicted Sussman because he allegedly told Baker that he was not divulging this information for a client. In fact, he was acting for at least two clients: the Clinton campaign and “Tech Executive-1” (i.e., Rodney Joffe), who worked at a “U.S.-based internet company” (i.e., Neustar Inc., a federal contractor).

"As part of his work on the Clinton campaign, Sussman repeatedly met and communicated both with Joffe and with “another law partner” who was “Campaign Lawyer-1.” (I guess we can await that indictment soon....)". . .

John Durham’s Explosive Motion

The American Spectator | USA News and Politics  "When Donald Trump claimed that he and his campaign had been spied upon by Democrat operatives, the corporate media mocked him as either a delusional paranoid or an outright liar. But now, thanks to the latest court filing by Special Counsel John Durham, it appears that once again Trump has been proven right.

" 'In the case of United States v. Michael Sussmann,  Durham has filed a motion to inquire into defense counsel’s possible conflicts of interest in which he states that his office possesses evidence proving that, while attempting to establish a false narrative tying Trump to Russia, Sussmann and others serving Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign “exploited” Internet traffic pertaining to “Trump Tower,” “Donald Trump’s Central Park West apartment building,” and “the Executive Office of the President of the United States (‘EOP’).” (Emphasis added.)

" 'As stated in the indictment, Sussmann, a partner at the law firm which represented the Clinton campaign, worked in concert with others to concoct a false but “plausible” narrative that the “Trump Organization, owned by Donald J. Trump” was using a “secret channel of communications” to interact with “a particular Russian bank,” i.e., the Alfa Bank.". . .

Honk! Is the Freedom Convoy a Teachable Moment for the American Right?

"This is what the Left does all the time, to the point where it feels like half of their people are professional protesters, funded either by leftist billionaires or, if they’re public sector unions, your tax dollars."

Honk! Is the Freedom Convoy a Teachable Moment for the American Right? › American Greatness (amgreatness.com)

What if we were actually to invest hundreds of millions of dollars every year into grassroots activism rather than wasting it on white papers, think tanks, and “hot air” events?

"It’s pretty amazing how a few weeks of honking in Ottawa combined with parents standing up to autocratic school boards appear to be doing more to move public opinion and change the everyday lives of Americans for the better than decades of funding CPAC social events and conservative think-tanking have done. Fascinating when you think about it.

"Just take a moment to reflect on how much this activism has changed the debate and brought to the surface the fascistic tendencies of the Left in Canada and in the United States. Prime Minister Justin “Low-T” Trudeau has invoked draconian emergency powers in Canada, while all across the United States, school boards are digging in—essentially telling parents and taxpayers to pound sand when they object to mask mandates and critical race indoctrination. The arrogant, out-of-touch responses to the protests has been illuminating for many and it has had and will continue to have real-world consequences.

"The political realignment of parents because of school boards’ behavior was on display recently in Virginia. The state flipped by 12 points in a year due, in large part, to the activism of parents who stood up and simply said, “No more.” But the arrogant, ham-handed reactions from people in power would never have been on display for all the world to see without that activism triggering those responses from the powers that be.". . .

Justin Trudeau Said He Admired China’s Dictatorship. Canadians Should Have Believed Him - Foundation for Economic Education (fee.org)

. . ."Wearing a pale blue shirt and a smile, the fresh-faced Liberal Party leader answered Communist China.

" 'There is a level of admiration I actually have for China because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime and say we need to go green, we need to start, you know, investing in solar,” Justin Trudeau told the group of women. “There is a flexibility that I know [Prime Minister] Stephen Harper must dream about: having a dictatorship where you can do whatever you wanted, that I find quite interesting.”

"The comments drew fire, particularly from Canadians who noted China’s oppressive regime and documented human rights abuses.". . .
