If You Really Wanted To Destroy The US, Then…

 Victor Davis Hanson

"First, you would surrender our prior energy independence.

"Reduce new gas and oil leases on federal lands to the lowest levels of any president in history. Cut back production at precisely the time the world is emerging from a two-year lockdown with pent-up consumer demand.

"Make war on coal and nuclear power. Drain the strategic petroleum reserve to make the pain for consumers more bearable for midterm election advantage.

"Cancel the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge oil and gas field. Block pipelines like the Keystone oil pipeline and the Constitution natural gas line.

"Overregulate and demonize frackers and horizontal drillers. Ensure there is less investment for their exploration and production.

"Make use of internal combustible engines or fossil fuel power generation prohibitively expensive. Achieve a green oil-dependency along the lines of contemporary Europe.". . .

George Neumayr   This is obvious to anyone who wants to win on conservative principle.

Does anybody really think a McDaniel-led GOP would stand strong against this transgender juggernaut, let alone more politically tricky issues?

"Illustrating that they won’t take their own side in a dispute, Republicans typically choose as their party chieftains hacks who betray little evidence of having read the GOP platform and even less evidence of supporting it. Current Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel falls into that category. She appears as conversant with the party platform as the late Bob Dole, who famously said that he never bothered to read it.

'Like previous RNC chairs, many of whom now appear on Republican-bashing networks (the unctuous Michael Steele on MSNBC defines this group), McDaniel conceives of her role as a ratifier of the “uniparty” consensus. The GOP’s recent capitulation to the Democrats on gay marriage is Exhibit A of McDaniel’s mindset. She had signaled weakness to the Dems by tweeting out her enthusiasm for “Gay Pride Month” early in the Biden presidency. Those tweets alone disqualify her from another term as RNC chair, given that they reveal her basic contempt for the party’s platform, which is staunchly opposed to the LGBTQ agenda.'

"It is not as if gay marriage stands as a marginal issue. It goes to the center of the GOP’s supposed moral philosophy. Can anyone imagine the Democrats electing as party chief a figure who opposes the party’s platform on a substantial moral issue? That is inconceivable, and for a simple reason: Elite Democrats fervently believe in their platform. They would never dream of elevating a gay marriage foe to lead their party.

"I once heard a GOP insider refer to McDaniel as a de facto lobbyist for the gay lobby who surrounds herself with gay figures from the flashy fundraising world.

"I once heard a GOP insider refer to McDaniel as a de facto lobbyist for the gay lobby who surrounds herself with gay figures from the flashy fundraising world. Cut from country club cloth, McDaniel, a niece of Mitt Romney, clearly views the religious Right as insufficiently woke and problematic. At the beginning of the Biden presidency, she indicated this openly through her outrageous tweets in honor of LGBTQ causes. But more recently, she has behaved more circumspectly and has even tried to throw members of the base off her liberal scent by feigning concern about the imposition of transgender propaganda on elementary school students. What a crock. After all, transgenderism grew out of the very gay causes McDaniel supports, causes that have long marinated in the subjectivism liberals used to assert that human beings have an inherent right to choose their sexuality and their sex. The moderates McDaniel represents may object to the most outlandish parts of the transgender agenda, but they still approve of much of it, particularly any transgenderism involving adults.". . .

Ronna McDaniel's time has expired with the Republican National Committee - Washington Times

. . ."There are plenty of Republicans who want Mrs. McDaniel gone, including half a dozen or so potential candidates … from the serious, such as California National Committeewoman Harmeet Dhillon, to the less serious, like My Pillow man Mike Lindell or former Trump White House staffer Mercedes Schlapp. A challenger may well be able to count on the support of activists who noted that Mrs. McDaniel has presided over electoral disasters in 2018, 2020 and this fall, when she and everyone else predicted a massive “red wave” that would sweep Republicans into office at virtually every level.

"After the results were in, Mrs. McDaniel appeared on television claiming she had never predicted a red wave, only to have to sit silently as her interviewer played clip after clip of her doing just that. ". . .

When Democrats rule America through a mentally and morally flawed figurehead

Thanks For Letting Us Know, Joe: Your True Border Policy Is Chaos

"During the last presidential election, then-candidate Joe Biden got away with trashing then-President Donald Trump for his border policies. After this week’s trip to Arizona without visiting the border mess he created, we finally got proof the border nightmare’s no accident. It’s policy.

"Biden’s recent sojourn in the Grand Canyon State cleared up a conundrum for us: Was Biden’s destructive border policy a result of age-related mental issues and incompetence? Or is it what he wanted all along?

"The answer came when he was questioned by Fox’s Peter Doucy about his curious Arizona itinerary, which brought him to Phoenix, just 100 miles from the border: “Why go to a border state and not visit the border?” Doocy asked.

"Biden’s response: “Because there are more important things going on. They’re going to invest billions of dollars in a new enterprise.”

“ 'More important things” than millions of undocumented people, including some affiliated with terror groups, crossing our border? More important than the hundreds of migrants who died on the journey, or were sold into virtual slavery by human traffickers?

"More important than the thousands of Americans who will die from overdoses of fentanyl that had been carried across the border by members of Mexico’s vicious drug cartels, which now also control the illegal immigration business, pocketing billions of dollars?". . .

Back in 2020: Joe Biden's Top Ten Mentally Deficient Moments - National File

. . ..Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden is losing his mind in public. Unlike the classic movie Network, wherein an aging news anchor pours out his soul and righteously condemns our shallow artificial culture, Biden’s public meltdown mostly consists of spouting half-remembered anecdotes, confusing basic historical details, threatening to fight everyday Americans, and generally acting like a bewildered crank. Biden, who suffered multiple brain aneurysms in 1988, is basically liable to say anything out on the campaign trail, creating a precarious situation for a Democrat Party that has inexplicably made him their presumptive nominee.

Biden’s mental woes growing and other commentary (nypost.com)   When it “plays out on the world stage,” President Biden’s “fatuity . . . can be downright horrifying,” notes Spectator World’s Amber Athey. At his meeting Tuesday with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Biden’s staff “made sure he was armed with a laminated note card,” reminding him “to welcome Johnson to the White House and speak positively about the relationship between the UK and the US. An easy thing to forget for a president, apparently.” But “most shameful” was how Biden’s staff, after BoJo took some questions from the UK press, “cut the British PM off mid-sentence, yelling at the media to leave the room. Biden eventually appeared prepared to respond to a question about the border from CBS’ Ed O’Keefe, but the wranglers continued to shout,” so his answer went unheard. “Biden’s mental deterioration must be even worse than we realize if his staff members are willing to treat foreign leaders with wanton disrespect to prevent him speaking to the press.”

For some blatant gaslighting, see this liberal praise for Biden's ability to overcome "stuttering" and those who question him are "ugly" and "ableist".

Joe Biden Shattered a Glass Ceiling When it Comes to Disability | Houston Press

. . .As the ugliness of the presidential campaign season ramped up, many used Biden’s speaking patterns to accuse the 77-year-old statesman of mental incapacity. It was ableist garbage that had no place in the discourse, but still found root in the talking points of the cruel. It also reinforced traditional stereotypes of people with stutters, something Biden is well aware of despite his lofty ascension...

No surprise, Maxine Waters has 'no plans to subpoena' disgraced FTX founder to testify

No surprise, Maxine Waters has 'no plans to subpoena' disgraced FTX founder to testify (bizpacreview.com)   "It would appear that being a major Democrat donor is one way to receive preferential treatment when your house of cards finally collapses.

"Just ask Representative Maxine Waters, D-Calif. Critics are accusing her of treating disgraced FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried with kid gloves by allowing him to dictate whether he will show up to testify before the House Financial Services Committee, which Waters chairs. While she says she would “welcome” his participation, she apparently has no plans to subpoena him if he does not show up.

"Being the second-largest donor of the last election cycle has some interesting perks.". . .

That Old Trump Magic!

Ann Coulter  "The fact that Herschel Walker barely lost his Senate runoff in Georgia

demonstrates beyond a doubt that ANY OTHER REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE WOULD HAVE WON.

" This is kind of important. Raphael Warnock's victory Tuesday night gives the Democrats a 51-seat majority in the Senate -- 52 with the vice president.

"Moderate Democrats are irrelevant now.

"It's going to be pedal to the metal for the progressive left. We have to get to the bottom of who chose Herschel. OH! Look -- it was Donald Trump.

"In March 2021, Trump put out this statement:

"Wouldn't it be fantastic if the legendary Herschel Walker ran for the United States Senate in Georgia? He would be unstoppable, just like he was when he played for the Georgia Bulldogs, and in the NFL. He is also a GREAT person. Run Herschel, run!"

"It's not as if running for office had been Walker's lifelong dream. Trump picked him. Why? Because Walker had played for Trump's United States Football League and was a contestant on "Celebrity Apprentice." That's how Trump picks candidates. He knows the guy.

GREAT CALL! I sure hope he has some more brilliant ideas for can't-miss Senate candidates. Omarosa maybe? Carrot Top? Ghislaine Maxwell?

"The former president is now responsible for losing three successive Senate seats in the state of Georgia. That's in addition to losing 40 House seats in the 2018 midterms, losing the presidential election in 2020, and losing seat after seat in this year's midterms -- a year that should have been a Republican sweep. Instead of crime, the border and inflation, Trump demanded that GOP candidates fixate on his "stolen" election.

"But it's Georgia that got the full benefit of the Trump magic.

"After the 2020 election, two runoff elections in Georgia would decide the balance of power in the U.S. Senate. When we really needed all hands on deck, Trump went down to Georgia and was a wrecking ball. He insulted everyone, refused to talk about anything but himself, viciously attacked the state's Republican governor and secretary of state, blamed them for his loss, claimed the vote was rigged and told his supporters not to vote.

"Both Republicans lost.". . .

Tucker Carlson: This is an actual threat to democracy

Whatfinger  "Fox News host Tucker Carlson reacts to a possible mass amnesty immigration deal ahead of the new Congress and says our leaders are committing immigration fraud on ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight.’

"Tucker blasts Senate RINOs for considering mass amnesty: “Several Republican members of the Senate are trying to pass a mass amnesty before the new Republican Congress is seated next month. How are they justifying this?”

  • Democrats working on making mass Amnesty and dumbing down requirements to flood AMERICA with uneducated third world who democrats feel they can use for votes later. – Godblessamerica
  • The fact that the one and only thing the Democrats are focusing on in the middle of the worst economic, energy and illegal immigration crisis in over half a century, and one created directly by their policies is mass amnesty should tell you everything you need to know. – Rising Serpent
  • If Republicans go along with the bill for mass amnesty it just shows how little power Ron DeSantis has over the Republican party. We all know where Trump stands and we all know that the media won’t report it because they seem to have a learned only say negative things.#Tucker– P K
  • Does everyone know that the traitor Republican senator, Tom Tillis. Is trying to shove and pass a bill for mass amnesty to all illegals. Before the change to Republican control which the American people have voted are our wish. Our republic is over Friends, face it. – Douglass Perkins

"Officials, elected and unelected, have to be reminded they work within limits. If it gets a little ugly, then so be it. Freedom has its enemies and they can’t be allowed to plow at will through our lives. Don’t put on the mask"

"As COVID-19 cases increase, the Los Angeles County public health director is threatening – yes, that’s the right word – another indoor mask mandate. It’s a hob-nailed boot on the neck. Angelenos need to resist, for themselves and the rest of the country.

“As COVID cases and other viruses continue to rise, the Southland is inching closer to a mask mandate,” the Los Angeles CBS affiliate reported Sunday. Barbara Ferrer, the county director of public health, who is not a physician, not a nurse, not even a paper shuffler at a doctor’s office, but a social welfarist, said last week that “masking” is one of several “commonsense mitigation strategies” that “remains a very sensible approach.”

"Don’t mistake mask mandates as harmless cases of officials acting in an abundance of caution or just covering their backsides, as government always does. Mask mandates are open displays of outright meanness, a manifestation of authoritarian urges to control others. There is no data, no reputable research that tells us mask mandates works.

"In fact, the data tells the opposite. Yet officials such as Ferrer and the Sacramento schools chamberlains are insisting that masks must go back on. It’s no coincidence that the madness is starting in a state where personal freedoms are routinely tread upon as if they’re gifts that can be handed down by the government rather than God-given.

"As we seethe over yet another violation of liberty we are reminded that the lockdowns were dropped on us in a similarly unscientific way. Much of the blame goes to Anthony Fauci, the face of COVID-19 – which most of us are ready to forget – and the man who claimed he himself is science. . . "

FLASHBACK: Disgraced Twitter counsel James Baker was one of the architects of Russian collusion hoax

The Post Millennial

Baker, during his time at the FBI, was involved in the discredited Steele Dossier as well as Russiagate.

. . .According to the Washington Times, Baker had connected Michael Sussmann, a friend and lawyer, with FBI top investigators in 2016, where Sussmann passed along the claims that Donald Trump had colluded with Russia to win the 2016 presidential election.

Baker’s time at the FBI ended in 2018 after he resigned, with the agency’s former counsel being eyed for potentially disseminating classified information to journalists regarding the Steele Dossier, according to the Washington Examiner.

The Clown World Administration

 Patriot Retort

"It isn’t as if we need more proof that the Biden administration has turned the federal government into Clown World. But here goes.

"One of the Biden administration’s diversity hires was arrested after he stole a woman’s expensive suitcase at the airport in September and then proceeded to continue using her suitcase on subsequent flights.

"The guy’s name is Sam Brinton. He serves in the Clown World administration as the deputy assistant secretary for spent fuel and waste disposition at the Department of Energy.

"Only Sam Brinton identifies as “genderfluid,” which means he should really consult with a mental health professional who can help him work out his gross emotional problems.

"And because this is Clown World, the news reports about Brinton’s arrest are careful to describe him as “they” and not “he,” which is all manner of confusing for anyone with a firm grasp on the English language and grammar.

"Like this sentence from the New York Post:

Brinton initially denied stealing the suitcase to police officers, but later claimed they took it by mistake and still had it in their possession. . . .

Warnock win over Walker lays out the case for new GOP leadership

And that makes the case for new GOP leadership. GOP leader Ronna Romney McDaniel is a fine person, a reliable conservative, a person who can get along with any fractious branch of the Republicans, who has never insulted conservative voters, but she's now presided over the loss of the last three election cycles, plus this last fiasco in Georgia. . .

Monica Showalter   "The Democrats extended their grip on the Senate and rendered the potential dissent of Joe Manchin irrelevant with the victory last night of Gabriel Warnock over GOP challenger Herschel Walker for Georgia's Senate seat.

ATLANTA — Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock defeated Republican football star Herschel Walker on Tuesday in Georgia’s Senate runoff election, NBC News projects, handing President Joe Biden and his party a key win.

Warnock’s victory will give Democrats an outright majority in the Senate after two years under a 50-50 divide, with Vice President Kamala Harris casting tie-breaking votes.

The win cements President Joe Biden's unexpected midterm success, allowing his party to grow the majority in the Senate.

"What a sorry situation that was, given that the contest seemed so winnable ... and wasn't.

"What does the Senate do?

"According to The Policy Circle:

The Senate has two important and specific duties. Senators are empowered to conduct impeachment proceedings of high federal officials, are tasked with exercising the power of advice and consent on treaties, and play an important role in the confirmation (or denial) of certain appointments including ambassadors and judicial court justices.

"Now Biden will have a free path towards nominating the craziest of the crazy left Supreme Court justices, be in a position to squelch potentially bipartisan legislation, end the filibuster, provide advice and consent on U.S. treaties (Hellooo, United Nations rule!) and serve as jury for votes on impeachment. This Senate, with its 51-seat majority, will be in a position conduct considerable mischief, all without having to worry much about John Fetterman being absent for health reasons, or Joe Manchin getting a case of the willies from his constituents. Nor will it have much use for Kamala Harris to break ties, which frees her up for more selfies, Vogue photo shoots, and campaigning for president in Joe's stead, particularly if Joe experiences a full lights out. Lastly, Republicans will no longer have dibs on half the committee seats, which are there to determine whether legislation should go forward, it's winner take all with that Warnock seat majority. . . ."

‘I’m Pissed’: Laura Ingraham Lashes Out at Republican Leadership Following Herschel Walker’s Defeat

The Fox News host proceeded to throw shade a Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel after she oversaw the GOP’s poor midterm showing. “We don’t change anything,” Ingraham continued. “We have the same people in place in leadership, same people in place apparently at the RNC, perhaps that’s not changing. But we just keep doing the same thing over and over again. I’m pissed tonight, frankly. I’m mad.”
