Let’s stop acting like Jan. 6 was worse than the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots

 Washington Examiner

"Former President Donald Trump’s town hall on Wednesday night triggered much, if not all, of the liberal media. Almost in unison, they repeated the same talking points. Unfortunately, this resurrected much of the Left’s theatrical devastation over the Jan. 6 riots at the Capitol.

"Unquestionably, the Jan. 6 riots were terrible. Some Trump supporters will try to justify it as a necessary action against voter integrity issues or election interference. Those people would be wrong: under no circumstance is it OK to storm the Capitol. The Constitution protects the “right of the people peaceably to assemble,” not engage in chaos and anarchy to express displeasure. So, any condemnation over Jan. 6 is justifiable.

"That being said, I am sick and tired of hearing about Jan. 6. More importantly, I am even more sick and tired of people pretending that the Jan. 6 riot was worse than the Black Lives Matter riots of 2020. Despite the carnage those riots caused, few, if any, on the Left criticized or condemned them. And definitely nobody on the Left labeled them a threat to our country — despite some riots, including attempts to burn down federal buildings. It’s left-wing political propaganda and manipulation at its finest.

"Decades of left-wing brainwashing and indoctrination in schools have led many people to believe that unarmed black men are hunted and killed by police officers . . .

How does a president most Americans don't believe is fit to serve run for reelection?

. . ."Plus, there's another factor to consider. Who will Biden run against? If he runs against  " Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who is 36 years younger than Biden, there is nothing Biden can do to neutralize the age matter. If he runs against former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC), who is 29 years younger than Biden, there is nothing he can do. If he runs against Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), who is 23 years younger, there is nothing he can do. Even if he runs against former Vice President Mike Pence, after former President Donald Trump the most senior Republican in the race but 17 years younger than Biden, there is nothing he can do.". . .

. . ."One last thing. An anti-MAGA campaign will be a very, very ugly campaign. There will be daily slanders, daily outrages, and daily combat. Republicans and conservatives who rankle at being called Nazis and fascists and traitors and insurrectionists and authoritarians and much, much more should be prepared. It will be hard to take. But if Biden is on the ballot in November 2024, it will be his best, and perhaps only, hope."

Have you been raised and indicted by Democrats

The tactics pictured above will bring our nation THIS:

Four more years of this?

"Well we definitely don’t want 4 more years of this! Highest inflation in 40 years, consumer debt through the roof, earnings down, crime way up, wars, food and medicine shortages, self inflicted energy shortage and border crisis. No thanks."

Democrats giddy at Trump indictment, but legal experts warn case is weak (nypost.com) . . ."Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) — who controversially exclaimed of Trump in 2019, “We’re going to impeach this motherf–ker!” — tweeted, “No one is above the law. Not even a former, twice-impeached President of the United States.”

"Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-Calif.) tweeted, “I will always believe that this twice-impeached former president is a threat to our democracy. This indictment is one of many steps to ensure that we are a country for and by the people, and that no one is above the law.”

"Other Democrats claimed they weren’t celebrating the development, which Trump alleged was Bragg “doing Joe Biden’s dirty work.”

" 'The indictment of a former president is a somber day for America. It’s also a time to put faith in our judicial system,” Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) said in a press release.". . .

Well, except Hillary Clinton, Al Sharpton. Maxine Waters, Eric Swalwell, Anybody named Biden, and other unnamed Democrats.

Victor Davis Hanson: Weaponizing death

 Victor Davis Hanson

"Recently, there has been a spate of horrific murders.

"The killers, whether committing mass shootings or single homicides, are hard to stereotype.

"They can be clearly either mentally ill or simply innately evil. They can kill for revenge, for ideological purposes, out of hatred, for notoriety — or for no known reason at all.

"They are probably left-wing and right-wing, white, Black, and brown, young, and old. While their weapons of choice are semi-automatic rifles, there are plenty of killers who favor handguns and even knives.

"Unfortunately, these tragedies have increasingly become politicized.

"Yet our media and politicians do not apply a common standard of reporting about either the victims, the killers, or the apparent motives and circumstances of the violence.

"Instead, each horror is quickly analyzed for its political usefulness. Then its details are selectively downplayed or emphasized, depending upon the political agenda at work.

"A sad example was the terrible murder spree at the private Christian Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee. A transgender male shot and killed six people, including three 9-year-old children.

"Almost immediately, three media narratives emerged.

"One, semi-automatic weapons, not the killer Audrey Hale, were mostly responsible for the massacre.

"Two, the shooter’s transgender identity profile played no role in the killing whatsoever."

"Three, the public had no need to know of the contents of the shooter’s “manifesto.”

"Why?" . . .

Bernie Sanders steps in to help Rep. Tlaib hold anti-Israel event in Capitol

 The Times of Israel

Jewish independent lawmaker chairs gathering in Senate committee meeting room to mark Nakba; Tlaib accuses Israel of apartheid, terror, says US aiding ‘ethnic cleansing’

“The event and Rep. Tlaib’s resolution are major milestones that reflect the shift in support for Palestinian rights in this country,” the wrote. “To heal from our past, we have to be honest about history. Acknowledging the Nakba is an important step towards freedom and justice for Palestinians.”. . .

"Tlaib, a Palestinian-American, is the only member of Congress who opposes Israel’s self-definition as a Jewish state. Among the participants of the Nakba event were several groups that support boycotting Israel, including Jewish Voice for Peace, Engage Action, and Americans for Justice in Palestine Action. According to the Free Beacon, some of the groups that attended have defended terrorism. Palestinians mark Nakba Day each year on May 15.

"Tlaib has in the past accused Israel of being an apartheid regime. In 2019, she attacked Republicans who backed a bill targeting the Israel boycott movement, saying in a tweet, “They forgot what country they represent.”

"Then, in 2022, she was criticized by her own party for saying that there was no room in the progressive movement for supporters of what she called Israel’s “apartheid” government.

"Sanders has in the past said he would condition US aid to Israel on Jerusalem taking tangible steps to reach a two-state solution and improve the conditions of Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip.". . .

Since you insist, let's remember together the founding father of the Palestinian national movement, the mufti Amin al-Husseini. A mass murderer and the architecture of the “Nakba”.
Palestine’s Jews had no illusions about what to expect from German occupation. They knew the Nazis were mass murdering Jews in both Russia and Poland. From a number of sources they had enough data before the British or the Americans, to accurately know what the Nazis were doing to their loved ones in Europe.

Reparations Derangement Syndrome

  Issues & Insights

Let’s not pretend this is about justice, fairness and decency. It’s a shakedown – aided and abetted by rich, white, guilt-ridden, virtue-signaling progressives – that not even Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton could have envisioned a decade ago.

"A panel in California, where rotten public policy ideas metastasize like a fungus growing in dark, slimy conditions, has approved paying reparations to descendants of slaves. It is impossible to overstate just how insane this is.

"The reparations task force, appointed by Boy Gov. Gavin Newsom, voted Saturday to recommend the state pay out as much as $800 billion to the descendants of enslaved or free black people who were in the U.S. by the end of the 19th century. That’s 2.5 times the size of California’s annual budget. Recipients could rake in as much as $1.2 million each.

"Or more. Much more. Because San Francisco’s reparations advisory committee has recommended the city’s qualified African American residents be given a $5 million lump sum.

"The committee also proposed “the elimination of credit card debt, car and student loans; a string of tax breaks; and 250 years of special benefits for African Americans such as a  guaranteed income of $97,000 a year (adjusted for inflation); and the ability to buy homes for $1,” says Rowena Itchon of the Pacific Research Institute.

"The cost of this largess, says the Hoover Institution’s Lee Ohanian, will be “on a per-household basis … nearly $600,000 per non–African American San Francisco household.”. . .

. . .Meanwhile, the appalling Barbara Lee, who represents a House district in Oakland, has cosponsored a bill in Congress to study reparations. It should never get a hearing, but we live in unhinged times, so it will get much more than that.

Maxine Waters even visited Damien Williams’ mother to offer her support.". . .

Massive outpouring of GiveSendGo support for Daniel Penny… Soros-prosecutors must be sweating bullets…

Revolver News   "Daniel Penny, the 24-year-old young man we’ve dubbed the “Marine Subway Hero,” turned himself into New York authorities on Friday after he heroically saved an entire subway train from a violent, mentally ill madman named Jordan Neely.

"A massive outpouring of support on GiveSendGo must have the Soros prosecutors working this case sweating. As of publication, the legal fund has already raised a stunning $736,251.

"For at least a decade, the criminal schizophrenic Mr. Neely had been causing terror among New York City commuters. On that eventful day when Mr. Penny happened to be on the train, Mr. Neely, a long-time offender, was determined to carry out a criminal act in order to secure food and shelter by returning to prison.

"Given the unpredictable nature of this disturbed and violent individual, it was impossible to anticipate the extent to which he would escalate. However, Mr. Penny, a former Marine and a compassionate individual, selflessly endangered himself to safeguard others by restraining the extremely foul-smelling Mr. Neely in a chokehold. Sadly, Neely’s disruptive behavior caused him to lose his life, and now the Soros-backed DA, Alvin Bragg, who also arrested Trump, has filed second-degree manslaughter charges against the heroic Marine.

"This is just more weaponization of our judicial system by the usual radical left-wing zealots." . . .

Ron DeSantis Throws His Support Behind Daniel Penny in the Jordan Neely Incident – RedState   . . ."DeSantis’ May 12 statement came via Twitter:

We must defeat the Soros-Funded DAs, stop the Left’s pro-criminal agenda, and take back the streets for law abiding citizens. We stand with Good Samaritans like Daniel Penny. Let’s show this Marine… America’s got his back.

"The tweet included a link to Penny’s defense fund, which thus far has received over $790K in donations.

"The criminal charges against Penny were filed on May 11 by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Bragg, in addition to facing tremendous legal heat due to his prosecution of Donald Trump, also has a history of prosecuting crime victims rather than perpetrators. "

How the crime was reported depends on a source's politics

Dylan Mulvaney announces 'day 9610 of being human' after Bud Light controversy

 The Post Millennial

"You know, dehumanization has never fixed anything in history ever."

"TikTok celebrity Dylan Mulvaney has strayed from his usual format of delivering an exaggerated and insulting performance of womanhood and instead released a video avoiding the topic of gender entirely and declaring himself to be a human.

"Filmed on “day 9610 of being a human,” Mulvaney explains to his millions of young followers that he’s been offline for a few weeks. This social media break coincides with the Bud Light controversy, during which the beer company’s sales plummeted after releasing a special edition can with Mulvaney’s face on it." . . .

. . ."The message Mulvaney’s insulting caricature of women sends to young people is that attention, fame, and adoration can be gained by adopting a transgender identity. Mulvaney promotes taking cross-sex hormones and has had facial feminization surgery, and most recently facial fillers. It is surely more likely that the backlash he is now facing is the result not of his “camp” and theatrical nature, but because of the terrible example he is setting to young people."

Bud Light is the laser dot, and we're the cat - American Thinker   . . .I was grossed out by the man-child beer bathtub video, too.  I am pretty grossed out about the whole genital mutilation thing.  But killing American jobs on purpose isn't the answer.  Joe Biden is doing enough of that without us helping him destroy jobs.

"And understand this: the people you want to get fired at AB Inbev will be given golden parachutes and a show on MSNBC.  The only people who will be hurt by the boycott are the lowly line workers...who already can't afford eggs, gas, rent, doctor, car, insurance...

"I understand wanting to die on this hill, but Bud Light isn't the hill.  Trans insanity is. The red laser dot isn't real."

The great minds shaping our nation's, um, intellect

Bill Maher: ‘Never Ending Woke Competition’ Is Destroying America, We’ve Already ‘Lost’ To China | The Daily Wire    Left-wing HBO host Bill Maher slammed the “never ending woke competition” that is engulfing America, warning that it has turned Americans into a “silly people” and that China is “eating our lunch” as a result.

“And finally, new rule, you’re not gonna win the battle for the 21st century if you are a silly people and Americans are a silly people,” Maher said on his show “Real Time” on Friday. “That’s the classic phrase from Lawrence of Arabia when Lawrence tells his Bedouin allies that as long as they stay a bunch of squabbling tribes, they will remain a silly people. Well, we’re the silly people now. You know who doesn’t care that there’s a stereotype of a Chinese man in a Dr. Seuss book? China. All 1.4 billion of them could give a Crouching Tiger flying f**k … because they’re not a silly people.”. . .

Trump ruined this country, President Biden is bringing it back to life!

'CNN should be ashamed of themselves': AOC and Joy Behar lead backlash to Trump's Town Hall | Daily Mail Online
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Joy Behar have led condemnation of CNN's decision to host a town hall with Donald Trump, which saw the former president bask in the spotlight and repeat a series of lies, joking about being found liable for sexual assault and mocking the moderator as 'nasty'. The 70-minute session, held in New Hampshire in front of a strongly pro-Trump crowd, seemed at times more like a Trump rally than an interrogation, as the former president held court and moderator Kaitlan Collins tried to keep control. During his tense confrontation with Collins he called January 6 a 'beautiful day', insisted he had 'every right' to take classified documents to Mar-a-Lago.

Dems starting to discover that reparations demands are a political trap -

As enjoyable as it is to see Gavin Newsom squirming, unfortunately, the opinions expressed in Oakland are going to grow and feed an even deeper sense of frustration and anger on the part of many blacks. And that anger will fuel actions that will be very harmful, even if “mostly peaceful.”

Thomas Lifson; American Thinker   . . ."In California, which likes to see itself as a trend-maker for the rest of the nation, the Democrat-dominated Legislature passed and Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law a bill, AB-3121, establishing a “Task Force to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans,” effective October 2, 2020. Nine members were to be appointed, 5 by the governor and 2 each by the leaders of the state house and senate. But despite the law’s mandate that “Members shall be drawn from diverse backgrounds to represent the interests of communities of color throughout the state,” 8 of the 9 members were African Americans – which means that they also had a personal stake in the outcome of their deliberations. Otherwise known as a “conflict of interest,” as Daniel J. Flynn points out.

"Is it any surprise, then, that the task force ended up with a set of recommendations that would bankrupt the state, costing an estimated $800 billion, two-and-a-half times the state’s annual budget? Which already is facing an estimated $22.5 billion deficit. The reparations study separately undertaken by the City of San Francisco was even more lavish, recommending a whopping $5 million payment to every resident who qualifies. This would make a two-person household that qualifies almost wealthy enough to rank in the top one percent of Americans in terms of net worth.

"Can anyone honestly claim that African Americans descended from slaves, roughly 12 percent of the population, would all be in top one percent of wealth but for the lingering effects of slavery?

Trump vs. CNN

CNN’s brief ratings success with the Trump Town Hall  The numbers are in.

Considering the blowback that CNN has received for broadcasting The Trump Town Hall, from pretty much every direction on the political spectrum, one wonders if – even with a ratings blip of two hours – the undertaking was worth it.

A Few Thoughts about the CNN townhall with Trump; Patricia McCarthy   . . ."The CNN sit-down Wednesday night was no exception.  Host Kaitlan Colllins clearly thought she would have the upper hand.  Coming from the bubble of leftist propaganda that is CNN’s principal reason for being, of course she believed she would be the hero of the event.  But she got her comeuppance within the first few minutes.  She acted the fool and Trump does not suffer fools, he eviscerates them with a smile on his face. ". . .

Babylon Bee | Fake News You Can Trust CNN Host Sues Trump For Assault And Defamation After Town Hall

"A visibly shaken Kaitlan Collins announced she will be suing Trump for assault and defamation after being destroyed by the former President on national television last night.

"He said things I didn't agree with. Even worse, he said things I didn't like," said Collins in a statement. "It was the most traumatizing experience of my life. It was assault, plain and simple. And defamation. I'm suing Trump for $5 million like that other lady."

"Sources also reported Trump called the CNN host a "nasty person," which trusted fact-checkers have determined was false.

"Media experts applauded the announcement and were all in agreement that Trump's performance in the town hall was the most horrifying spectacle ever televised. "I am literally shaking right now," said CNN Host Jake Tapper. "The lies, the misinformation, the pure evil of that monstrous orange man is too much for my soul to bear. Our democracy is in danger once again. God help us all."

"Biden also responded to the town hall, saying: "Reflustrazuuure! Shut up, fat!". . .

UltraViolet calls for firing of CNN CEO as Trump town hall draws 3.3 million viewers – HotAir  . . ."That is what the left does. Anything they don’t want to hear is called a lie. Yet, they remain silent every time Joe Biden opens his mouth and another lie falls out. UltraViolet aligning itself with AOC to limit the free speech rights of a former president and current candidate is all you need to know about its agenda. The liars were CNN and other liberal networks who spun lies and concocted tales of Russian collusion for the years of Trump’s term in office.

"Joe Biden has been a failure as a president. He is Jimmy Carter-level bad. There are no big successes for the left to credit Biden with as he runs for re-election so they go back to the 2020 election and dredge up old issues. Kaitlan Collins focused on old stories – January 6, 2021, classified documents, the 2020 election, the Access Hollywood tape, and so on. She asked if Putin is a war criminal. What cable media hosts like Kaitlan Collins don’t understand is that voters in the Midwest and the middle of the country don’t care about any of that stuff now. They want to know about what a candidate is going to do about inflation so that they can more easily pay their bills and buy groceries and gas for their car to get to work and and the kids to school. Voters look forward, not backwards. Trump has to learn to stop talking about the 2020 election. The media has to talk about what voters what to know about." . . .

Since the Trump town hall worked out so well...

Anderson Cooper Whimpers Over CNN Hosting Trump Town Hall - Tells His Viewers He Understands if They Never Watch CNN Again (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit | by Jim Hoft   . . ."CNN had to cut the network’s town hall with President Trump by 20 minutes after Trump, backed by a wildly supportive audience (hand-picked by CNN), took control of the forum from anchor Kaitlan Collins right from the start and never let up.

"Puck’s Dylan Byers reported on CNN cutting the town hall short, “Note: The CNN Town Hall was a 90-minute broadcast, though the network expected the actual event to go as long as 75 minutes. They stopped less than 70 minutes in. In other words, they could have gone longer if they wanted—which is usually what executives do with big ratings draws.”

Reparations Derangement Syndrome –

  Issues & Insights

Let’s not pretend this is about justice, fairness and decency. It’s a shakedown – aided and abetted by rich, white, guilt-ridden, virtue-signaling progressives – that not even Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton could have envisioned a decade ago.

. . .The case against reparations is irrefutable. Or would be in a sane world, which we no longer live in.

Despite the lunacy that has a grip on our politics, we will lay out the arguments.

First, no taxpayer in California or the U.S. was alive when slavery was allowed in this country, and none of those who were enslaved are alive either. Anyone who doesn’t think this is irrelevant is neither a clear nor honest thinker.

Second, we go to Andreas Koureas of The Spectator, who brings up an unpopular but salient point: “Ultimately, the great evil of slavery was practiced by all inhabited continents and all races.” Consequently, nearly every human on the planet has “an ancestral link to the slave trade.”

History, perpetually in conflict with “The Narrative,” tells us that “indigenous Africans, would capture slaves in village raids or as prisoners of war, and they would be sold at the African coast to outside traders or fellow Africans within the subcontinent.”

“Long before the transatlantic slave trade began, slavery was commonplace in many parts of the globe,” Koureas adds. “The further you go back in history the longer the list of slavers grows, including everyone from the Ancient Egyptians to the Shang dynasty in China.”
