Trump demands ‘apology’ from ‘60 Minutes’ for dismissing Hunter Biden laptop story before doing another interview

 Victor Nava (nypost.com)

“I’d love to do ‘60 Minutes,’” Trump said of potentially reaching a last minute agreement with the program. “I do everything.” “I’ve asked them for an apology. Let’s see if they do it,” he added.

"Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday demanded an “apology” from “60 Minutes” for dismissing The Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story in 2020, noting that he won’t do an interview with the TV news magazine until he gets one.

“ 'They came to me and would like me to do an interview but first I want to get an apology, because the last time I did an interview with them, if you remember, they challenged me on the computer,” Trump told reporters in Milwaukee.

“ 'They said the laptop from hell was from Russia, and I said, ‘It wasn’t from Russia. It was from Hunter,’” he added. “And I never got an apology.”

"Trump, 78, was referring to “60 Minutes” reporter Lesley Stahl admitting to him in a 2020 sitdown that she refused to cover The Post’s bombshell Hunter Biden laptop story in 2020 because “it can’t be verified.”

"CBS News finally confirmed the authenticity of the laptop – which linked President Biden to his son Hunter and brother Jim Biden’s foreign influence-peddling – 769 days after The Post broke the story." . . .

Second "Gentleman" Doug Emhoff 'Forcefully Slapped' His Ex-Girlfriend So Hard 'She Spun Around', New Report Alleges

  ZeroHedge

"Recall, just days ago Jen Psaki swooned over Emhoff on MSNBC in a sit-down interviewstating he was reshaping masculinity and calling him a 'supportive spouse'."  They will still love him on "The View". TD

Jane and Doug

"Kamala Harris' husband Doug Emhoff reportedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend by hitting her in the face so hard "she spun around", according to a bombshell new exclusive by the Daily Mail.

Emhoff allegedly struck the woman, referred to as "Jane," in the face while waiting in a valet line after a 2012 Cannes Film Festival event, according to the DailyMail.com.

Jane, a New York attorney, reportedly called a friend sobbing in a cab after the incident and told others about the alleged assault at the time. Friends provided photos and documents from 2012 to support parts of the story but chose to remain anonymous, citing fear of retaliation.

Jane’s friends said she received tickets from wealthy connections to attend the exclusive amfAR Gala Dinner at Hotel du Cap in Antibes, France, on May 24, 2012.

The alleged assault occurred after the event, where celebrities like Heidi Klum and Harvey Weinstein were present. Jane, who brought Emhoff as her guest, later called a friend sobbing, saying her date had hit her.

The friend recalled Jane describing how Emhoff slapped her after she offered a valet money to skip a taxi line, which he misinterpreted as flirting.

'She slapped him back. My impression is that he had a lot to drink. She was sobbing [on the phone afterwards], but she wasn't slurring her words. She told me that she broke up with him that night,' one friend told the Daily Mail

A second friend, also a New York attorney, said Jane recounted the incident, describing how Emhoff slapped her out of nowhere around 2-3 a.m. after a pleasant evening."

'Redefining masculinity', lauded Jen Psaki. . . ."Guys like this always want their women to go get abortions for them, the better to evade their responsibility in their various pregnancy-inducing acts. Harvey Weinstein was one of them. Emhoff sounds like someone who shared Weinstein's values and sure enough, the pair of them associated with one another, all in on the Hollywood values. And let's not forget the little woman here, Kamala Harris, who's just as loud and noisy in favor of abortion as any of these irresponsible men. It's a hideous dynamic, yet as any cop will tell you, there are women out there who can't quit them." . . .

Emhoff incident raises questions about Kamala's long history of covering up for bad men -Monica Showalter   "After credible allegations that Doug Emhoff, who is Kamala Harris's husband, struck a woman so hard she spun around, along with the claim that the household nanny he impregnated earlier had accused him of "causing" her miscarriage, maybe Kamala Harris, who's running for president, ought to be looked at closer by voters for her strage enabling behavior around a lot of men.

"RedState writer Jennifer van Laar has some pointed questions she ought to be asked:"...

If a political ally does something bad, including something pervy, pervy bad, Harris is right there to cover up for him, like an abused and enabling woman. Some of van Laar's commentators wondered whether Emhoff had beaten her, too, given that woman-beaters rarely have just one victim.

"Kamala: Walz was a mistake", Don Surber

Neither O’Donnell nor Brennan asked about crime, a peculiar omission given Walz’s governance of Minnesota when violent riots resulted in massive property destruction and the loss two lives in the Twin Cities area." Daniel J. Flynn

Vance Outclasses Walz in Debate That Validates His Selection - The American Spectator   . . ."Vance not only outshined Walz, he also showed himself as the only truly great debater among the four candidates on the Republican and Democratic tickets. On Tuesday night, he beat Walz, Margaret Brennan, and Norah O’Donnell in yet another three-liberals-on-one-conservative handicap match.
"When asked to open the debate about whether they would support an Israeli preemptive strike on Iran, Walz avoided answering the question and the Republican vice presidential nominee said America should stand by its ally.
"“Kamala Harris is not running as a newcomer to politics,” the Ohioan reminded in one of his more effective moments. “She is the sitting vice president. If she wants to enact all of these policies to make housing more affordable, I invite her to use the office that the American people already gave her, not sit around and campaign and do nothing while Americans find the American Dream of home ownership completely unaffordable.”
"When asked about lying about being in Hong Kong during the Tiananmen Square crackdown, Walz answered: “I grew up in small rural Nebraska” before talking about riding bicycles and supporting legislation benefitting veterans. The nonanswer compelled Brennan to ask the question again. “I misspoke on this,” he answered before again muddying the waters: “I was in Hong Kong and China during the democracy protests.” . . .

From Don Surber: "The New York Post reported, “Kamala Harris says insomnia hit after Biden dropped out, was sleep deprived the day of Walz pick.”
"Sleep deprived is a polite way of saying hungover.
"The story said:
Vice President Kamala Harris revealed Monday that she suffered from insomnia after President Biden endorsed her as his successor — and that she was sleep deprived the morning she picked her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
Harris, 59, told All The Smoke hosts Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson that she  was sleep deprived the morning she picked her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz." . . .as she threw her VP candidate under the bus. TD

CBS News Welched, Vance Soared

  Ed Morrissey – HotAir

"During last night's live blog, I received the same basic message from multiple people: Why couldn't these two be running at the top of their tickets? That reaction came less from a desire to see either be president, but more from an appreciation of the return of the traditional debate, comity, and at several times, mutual graciousness.

"None of that helped Tim Walz, however. And neither did CBS News and its moderators, Norah O'Donnell and Margaret Brennan -- although Lord knows they tried to do their best to rescue the Democrat.

"David Muir and Linsey Davis got a deluge of criticism for interfering in the one presidential debate on ABC News with one-sided "fact-checks," clearly corrupting the process in favor of Kamala Harris. CBS News promised its moderators would not conduct any fact-checking. It took them less than 20 minutes to violate that, interjecting at least twice to contradict J.D. Vance, and then cut off his microphone when he attempted to rebut their "fact check."

"Nor was that their only attempt to rescue Walz. Throughout the debate, O'Donnell and Brennan would ask Vance to clarify claims and frame context for his one-minute rebuttals, while simply allowing Walz to frame his own rebuttal times. This happened throughout the debate, and it created the exact same three-on-one dynamic that plagued the ABC debate.

"Plus, the question sets were essentially copied from Muir and Davis, designed to give Walz the most breathing room. After spending a few minutes on Iran, foreign policy largely disappeared from the questions, although both candidates brought it up. We had no questions on China policy, Taiwan, military readiness, or the deficit. Instead, we got child care and "democracy," which Vance turned into a debate on censorship and caught Walz sputtering over it.

"The moderators chose sides again, and provided yet even more reasons for Republicans to demand new platforms other than media outlets to run these events." . . .

Exclusive: Expert Calls Out VP Debate Moderators’ Climate Lies – PJ Media   . . ."The CBS vice presidential debate moderators, Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan, tried to tie Hurricane Helene to “climate change” and pressured both Republican JD Vance and Democrat Tim Walz to endorse government climate action. But “the notion that this is a man-made or -enhanced or -caused weather event is just without a foundation,” Milloy explained." . . .

. . ."Milloy cited an “ironic” article he found from last year saying people were moving to Asheville, NC, which has since been devastated by Helene, “because they thought it would be … safe climate wise. And of course, you know, climate is a ridiculous reason to do anything. They should have been thinking about the weather.” After all, “those mountains get storms,” Milloy pointed out, “it's a flood-prone area. And this time they got a really big one, and no one was ready for it, because I guess they're imagining that emissions are a problem.”. . .

Kevin Sorbo Schools Whoopi: I'm Proof of New Hollywood Blacklist

 Christian Toto (hollywoodintoto.com)

"Sorbo’s punishment for having the “wrong” political views extends beyond Hollywood, he says."

Let’s hope the “Sister Act” alum doesn’t give up her day job.

Kevin Sorbo would like a word with Goldberg.

“Of course being conservative in Hollywood and openly talking about it can get you blacklisted. I am a perfect example of that. My manager and agent said my politics and posts on social media put me at the back of the bus with studios,” Sorbo exclusively told HiT.

"Levi, speaking at a Reclaim America event in Michigan, said coming out as a Donald Trump supporter could be “career suicide.” Goldberg used her “View” perch to allegedly set him straight.

“From the beginning of Hollywood, it’s always been a very right-leaning town, but I know you don’t know much about the Hollywood history, so let me school you…

“We are, like America is, we’re a mixed bunch. And sometime it may seem like there’s more Democrats and sometimes it seems like there’s more Republicans. But the truth of the matter is, very few people seem to bite it because they’re Republican.”

"Levi’s claim, she said, is “more b.s.” The media ran with Goldberg’s framing, suggesting she had “schooled” Levi on the subject.

The Democrats’ Idea of a Regular Guy

  Ann Coulter

Considering that Harris’ entire political career has consisted of being an unqualified token minority, it’s only fitting that her running mate is an unqualified token white guy.

"To balance out her being a DEI hire, Kamala Harris needed a regular white guy as her running mate. Unfortunately, the Democratic Party doesn’t have any of those, so Harris chose Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota. At the debate this week, the main function Walz served was to remind us that some white men are mediocre.    The media have been doing their level best to convince us that Walz is a salt-of-the-earth, white male, Trump-voting archetype.
"This is a man who was so terrified of a virus that is less dangerous than the flu to 70% of the population, that he ordered his entire state locked-down, masked-up and unschooled for a solid year. Walz’s COVID restrictions continued long after even blockheads had figured out that the lockdowns accomplished nothing beyond destroying businesses, lives and children’s developing brains, dragging on through at least three different styles of useless paper face masks.
"Hoping to distract from his party’s hatred of working-class white men, Walz incessantly boasts that he’s a “unionman,” as if he’s Marlon Brando in “On the Waterfront.” But he wasn’t a coal miner, a truck driver or steelworker. He was a teacher, meaning he spent up to eight hours a day in a comfortable, temperature-controlled classroom, couldn’t be fired and got summers off.
"Walz obviously knows what an unimpressive figure he cuts, otherwise, he wouldn’t be constantly telling petty, image-boosting lies about himself.
"He has, for example, come up with a million different ways of implying he served in combat in Afghanistan. In 2004, he held a sign for John Kerry that said, “Enduring Freedom Veterans for Kerry.” Similarly, in 2006, his congressional campaign literature described him as an “Operation Enduring Freedom veteran.” . . .

What Joe Biden Thinks of Latest Israel Attack Is Really Concerning

Sarah Arnold (townhall.com)

"According to the Times of Israel, Netanyahu kept its planned attack under wraps, fearing the Biden-Harris Administration would interfere." As Obama!

"The day after Iran attacked Israel by launching 180 ballistic missiles into the Jewish state, President Joe Biden urged Israel not to retaliate and escalate the war further.

“ 'The answer is no,” Biden said on Wednesday when asked by reporters at Joint Base Andrews if he supports Israel potentially carrying out strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.

“All seven of us agree that they have a right to respond, but they should respond proportionally,” Biden said, referring to Group of Seven (G7) allies. His comments come as the United States suggests it will roll out new sanctions against Iran over its missile attack on Israel.

"The president said he would be speaking with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “relatively soon” following Iran’s attack, adding that the U.S. is offering advice to Israel offices on how to respond to the terrorist country’s strike. Meanwhile, U.S. Security Adviser Jake Sullivan warned Iran that it will face “severe consequences” for its attack.

“ 'We are now going to look at what the appropriate next steps are to secure, first and foremost, American interests, and then to promote stability to the maximum extent possible as we go forward,” Sullivan said Tuesday, although those “steps” are unclear.

"Last week, Israel staged a surprise attack and killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah by launching an airstrike on the terrorist group’s headquarters in Lebanon." . . .

Report: Biden ‘Stung’ That Democrats, Harris Have Forgotten About Him

Mary Chastain (legalinsurrection.com)  "Biden, you served their purpose and now you’re nothing to them. This shouldn’t shock anyone."

Could it have helped to see all his speeches had to be seen as calls for the death of Donald Trump. TD

"People close to President Joe Biden told NBC News that the president has been complaining about Democrats and VP Kamala Harris not mentioning him or bringing up his supposed accomplishments.

"What did he expect? They kicked him out, which I personally feel was the plan all along when he announced Harris as his 2020 VP pick:

Biden has noted at times that Vice President Kamala Harris, who took his place at the top of the Democratic ticket in July, hasn’t been mentioning him in her campaign speeches lately, including when she talks about an economy he believes his policies set on a positive trajectory, these people said.

And he was particularly stung by one of the recent notable times when she did talk about him — during this month’s debate with former President Donald Trump, three of the people familiar with his comments said.

“Clearly, I am not Joe Biden,” Harris said at the time, adding: “And I am certainly not Donald Trump. And what I do offer is a new generation of leadership for our country.” She made the remark in response to Trump’s contention that “she is Biden” as he tried to make the case that Harris’ and the president’s economic policies are no different." . . .

Walz Gives Worst Debate Performance: ‘I’ve Become Friends With School Shooters’

 Mary Chastain (legalinsurrection.com)

"I didn’t watch the VP debate because, well, uh, I was sick. That’s it.

But nowadays, you don’t need to, thanks to social media. You get it all!

I didn’t have to watch it to know that Democratic vice presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz gave the worst debate performance in history. In contrast, Republican vice presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance shined.

Like, what?! Phrasing, dude: “I sat in that office with those Sandy Hook parents. I’ve become friends with school shooters. I’ve seen it.”

PHRASING.

"Can you believe the moderators brought up the fact that Walz was not in Hong Kong during the Tiananmen Square massacre?

"He “misspoke” and he’s a “knucklehead.”

"In other words, you lied. Then Walz lied again by doubling down on it." . . .

Babylon Bee Sues California Over 'Deepfake' Laws, Crackdown on Parody and Satire

 RTM (resistthemainstream.com)

"The Bee’s complaint contends that satire and parody are protected under the First Amendment because they trust the American people to think and decide for themselves in the context of political debate."

Popular satirical website the Babylon Bee has launched a legal offensive against the state of California, challenging newly enacted “deepfake” laws that could potentially muzzle parody and satire.

"The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, takes aim at legislation signed by Governor Gavin Newsom that targets the publication of what the state terms “materially deceptive content.”

"The Daily Wire reported that the legal action comes in response to a series of laws passed by the California legislature, seemingly inspired by a tweet from Governor Newsom suggesting that parody videos should be “illegal.”

"These new regulations require social media platforms to act as watchdogs, identifying and removing content deemed deceptive or labeling it appropriately.

"Elon Musk punched Newsom back after he took aim at a parody ad for presidential candidate Kamala Harris the tech mogul had posted." . . .

American Liberty In The Balance

  Issues & Insights

"Either way, the Democratic Party is serious about quashing speech that inconveniences its campaign to establish a political power base that cannot be challenged. Liberty is on the ballot this fall, just as it is every time a Democrat runs for office anywhere in this country."

"John Kerry, maybe the most pompous politician of our lifetimes, admits that the First Amendment is an obstacle to the Democrats’ hard-left agenda. It’s a deeply disturbing statement perfectly in line with the party’s irrepressible authoritarian urges.

"At last week’s Sustainable Development Impact Meetings of the World Economic Forum, Kerry, a long-time U.S. senator from Massachusetts, secretary of state for four years of the eight-year Obama nightmare, Joe Biden’s climate czar and a failed presidential candidate, acknowledged that his party wants to censor speech that it doesn’t approve of.

“ 'Our First Amendment stands as a major block to the ability to be able to hammer [disinformation] out of existence,” he said. “What we need is to win the ground, win the right to govern by hopefully winning enough votes that you’re free to be able to implement change.”

"This was ominously followed by his warning that “there are some people in our country who prepared to implement change by other means.”

"His party will take that as a reference to Jan. 6. But the rest of us should understand that he’s saying that Democrats can take power the easy way or the hard way – so just turn it over to us in November and we won’t have to be more coercive than we already are.

"Kerry also complained that “it’s really hard to govern today.” This simply means that Democrats are finding that getting their way with policy is more difficult than in the past because the dissenting voices are now being heard on social media and from news sources that don’t believe it’s their job to put Democrats in office and keep them there.

"It’s impossible to watch the video without feeling the chill winds of censorship. Yet there’s no surprise. The political left began to abandon free speech through political correctness, then slowly, as if it had been part of a grand long-term plan, move on to government suppression of speech." . . .

Defeating Hezbollah Will Strengthen the West

  Con Coughlin :: Gatestone Institute

The reality, though, is that the group most responsible for causing casualties is Hezbollah which, like its Iranian-backed ally Hamas in Gaza, has no qualms about putting innocent Lebanese civilians in harm's way.

"The Israeli military campaign against Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorists is not just an exercise in safeguarding Israel from suffering further bombardment from tens of thousands of missiles and attack drones.

"An Israeli victory against Hezbollah's terrorist infrastructure in Lebanon is vital to guaranteeing the security of the entire Western alliance. It will send a clear signal to Iran -- Hezbollah's paymasters -- that the ayatollahs' unremitting campaign against the West and its allies is ultimately doomed to failure.

"It is certainly a consideration world leaders must take on board as they attempt to negotiate a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, one that would undoubtedly be to the Iranian-backed terror group's advantage.

"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, after taking 11 months of continuous rocket fire and fruitless negotiations, rejected the ceasefire idea, presumably out of concern that it would only provide Hamas and Hezbollah with a chance to rearm to attack again, as they have openly vowed to do.

"After the inconclusive war Israel fought against Hezbollah in 2006, the scale of the latest Israeli assault against Hezbollah's terrorist infrastructure in Lebanon shows that, this time, the Israelis have no intention of ending their military campaign until Hezbollah is no longer in a position to maintain its relentless assault against northern Israel.

"Hezbollah launched its drone and missile attacks against Israel -- using many munitions supplied by Iran -- indiscriminately attacking Israeli civilian targets, primarily in Israel's north -- just one day after the devastating October 7, 2023 attacks.

"This uncalled for assault has resulted in an estimated 90,000 Israelis being forced to flee their homes, leaving large swathes of northern Israel deserted. Hezbollah has said that those Israelis will not be able to return to their homes, raising concerns that Hezbollah, which had been planning to invade northern Israel, might also be planning to occupy it." . . .
