Libya Offers to Welcome Palestinian Refugees

Better get it all done before leftists elect another Democrat president. Good luck with all those college campuses. TD

Jerome R. Corsi

"Meanwhile, Libya will offer the relocated Gazans an opportunity to work and enjoy a standard of living never attained under decades of rule suffered under the grip of Hamas, a group that was never able to imagine a governing policy other “wiping Israel off the map of the Middle East."

"Abdul Hamid Muhammad Al-Dubiba, the prime minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU) in Tripoli, Libya (the Libyan government that the United Nations recognizes) has told the U.S. government that Libya will take 100,000 to 200,000 refugees from Gaza. The Libyan offer is the first such proposal to receive Gazan refugees into a Muslim country that President Trump has received after announcing on Wednesday, February 5, in his press conference with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that the United States would take over Gaza, relocate the residents, and rebuild the area as a “Riviera on the Mediterranean.”

"This follows Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s decision to reject an open invitation to the White House for talks as long as Palestinian relocation is on President Trump’s agenda. “In Egypt, we have been warned since the beginning of the crisis that what was happening was an attempt to render the Gaza Strip uninhabitable, paving the way for the displacement of the Palestinians,” al-Sisi insisted. He added, “the displacement of the Palestinian people from their place is an injustice. We cannot condone or be a part of the unjust displacement of Palestinians.” Jordanian King Abdullah II joined al-Sisi in rejecting Trump’s proposal.

"Egypt has announced it will host an emergency Arab summit in Cairo on February 27 that would include “the state of Palestine.” In January, the United Nations and World Bank estimated that 72 percent of the territory’s housing, 84 percent of its health facilities, and 92 percent of its primary roads had been damaged or destroyed. Without water, sanitation, or electricity, the estimated 1.8 to 2.3 million Gazans face returning to the rubble that is today’s war-devastated Gaza without the essentials required for healthy daily living." . . .

So That's Why We Haven't Seen the Real Epstein List

Matt Margolis

"Levin didn’t mince words about his suspicion, reminding Bondi—and America—that "New York is a hotbed of the Democrat Party—that includes in legal circles."

"On his Fox News show “Life, Liberty, and Levin,” Mark Levin had a compelling discussion with Attorney General Pam Bondi about one of the most scandalous yet suspiciously opaque cases in modern history—the Jeffrey Epstein files. Last week, many anticipated bombshell revelations exposing high-profile figures linked to criminal activity on Epstein’s private island. Instead, what we got was a rehash of information already widely known.

"So, why is this happening and when are we going to see the new stuff?

"Levin wasted no time driving into the matter, noting that his curiosity about the Epstein client lists is mirrored by countless Americans. "I think the American people are very curious about who's on this list or these lists," Levin said. “You have been doggedly trying to get all the information and now we learn, thanks to you, that you've been stonewalled by people in New York. Do you want to explain that?”

" 'So, as you know, we released about 120 pages of documents. And I started asking for these documents right when I came into office and before Kash Patel was in there,” she began. “So I ended up getting about 120 pages. We carefully redacted them, of course, to be sure the 254 young girls, women who are victims of sex crimes and sex trafficking, their personal information was redacted and out of there to protect them.”

"Her doubts, it turns out, were entirely justified. “So I’m going through it and I kept saying there has to be more, there has to be more," Bondi said. "I’m assured that’s it. Kash asked the same questions, assured there’s no more. Last I found out, you know, this week that a source told me New York, SDNY, they’re sitting on thousands of pages of documents regarding Epstein. Thousands. Thousands."

"Refusing coy political platitudes, Bondi directly threatened accountability for obstructive bureaucrats: "I will find out who withheld it and they will not be working for us anymore." Her promise wasn't mere empty bravado. She laid down the gauntlet: "We will get everything. We will have it in our possession.' " . . .  Full article...

Victor Davis Hanson: In Some Way, Zelenskyy Is An Authoritarian

The Daily Signal

"A tense altercation between President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy ensued in the oval office today. "The bottom line: The United States of America will not be extorted by a country whose leaders are more interested in what they can get out of the American people than peace. "The point of the meeting? To sign a U.S.-Ukraine mineral deal. Donald Trump is “very tired subsidizing and pay for far-distant problems when we’re running a $37 trillion national debt,” and this deal would not only offset those costs but also by inviting “American business in to Ukraine, to help rebuild it and to profit…Putin will be less eager to attack you if he understands there's a thriving American concession there,” argues Victor Davis Hanson on today’s edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words:” “ 'Donald Trump is incurring a lot of criticism lately on the Ukrainian war. He's trying to negotiate an end to the war. Remember, there's probably somewhere around 1.5 million dead, wounded, missing, and captured on both sides, together. That is the largest casualty rate figure total in Europe since the Battle of Stalingrad in 1942 and 1943. In his ‘Art of the Deal’ style he came in and he said some things the last week that got people very angry. I'll just give you two examples. He said that Zelenskyy was a dictator and that he “should have stopped the war and never started it. “ 'That got people anguished because we know that Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine on February 24th of 2022. So, why did Donald Trump say that? Of course, he doesn't believe that Zelenskyy started the war because he has campaigned himself on the following narrative: "Under George Bush, in 2008, Russia invaded Ossetia and Georgia. “ 'In 2014, under the Obama administration, they invaded the Donbas and Crimea. On February 24th of 2022, under Joe Biden, they tried to take Kyiv. However, of the last four administrations, there was one in which they did not leave their borders to invade another nation—my administration. Why? Because unlike the prior three presidents, I was able to establish deterrence.” . . .

What country would accept relocated Gazans?

 A.J. Caschetta, Middle East Forum

"Few nations are interested in taking residents of Gaza because Palestinians have worn out their welcome wherever they have gone."

The remains of the Al-Najjar Hospital, which was destroyed during an Israeli military operation in the
city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, January 20, 2025.

"When Donald Trump proposed to relocate over a million people from Gaza while it is rebuilt, many derided it as a combination of anti-Palestinian racism and Islamophobia. Others thought it just too ridiculous to take seriously. But more people are coming around to his way of thinking.

"Liel Leibovitz now argues that, “we must embrace this proposal, because at its heart is the one true and inescapable sentiment: Israelis can no longer be expected to live in proximity to those who desire nothing more than their death.”

"Gazans who don’t want to fight Israelis and who have sought to leave the embattled strip of land are perhaps the world’s only genuine refugees not permitted to leave a war zone, but where to send them and their bloodthirsty neighbors who live for the opportunity to kill is perhaps the biggest problem with the proposal.

"Those who protest the loudest about Trump’s alleged “ethnic cleansing” plan are more interested in exploiting Gazans for the purpose of destroying Israel than helping them. Don’t expect Spain, Norway, or Ireland to welcome any of them.

"And what about Muslim and Arab nations? Are they, too, racist or “Islamophobic” for endorsing the plan? The UAE’s Ambassador to the U.S., Yousef Al Otaiba, recently told an interviewer, “I don’t see an alternative to what’s being proposed.”

"The Wall Street Journal’s Sadanand Dhume took up the topic in a recent column titled “If Indians and Pakistanis Can Relocate, Why Can’t Gazans?”

"Dhume noted that “Many population transfers have taken place over the last century. … Only in the Palestinian case has the refugee question festered endlessly.”

"In a January 26, 2025, press release, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) called Trump’s proposal “dangerous nonsense,” invoking the ethnic cleansing trope." . . .

Israel to resume war in Gaza and ‘eradicate Hamas,’ cutting off aid and bombarding Strip with troops    "Israeli decision-makers plan to resume the Gaza war in four to six weeks with overwhelming force, sending in tens of thousands of troops to conquer the entire strip in a single coordinated offensive against Hamas.

"Incoming military chief of staff Eyal Zamir has, at the direction of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, started developing the plan, according to several current and former Israeli officials with knowledge of high-level discussions.

"Under the plan, Israel will deploy more troops to Gaza than it has to this point in the war—over 50,000—before relocating the civilian population to humanitarian zones and waging a ruthless ground campaign against Palestinian terrorists across the rest of the strip." . . .

“It’s going to be decisive,” said Amir Avivi, a former Israeli brigadier general who has advised the Israeli government and military during the war. “Israel will use every tool it has to conquer Gaza and eradicate Hamas.”

Quick, before US Democrats like these below come back into power!

New Dawn For Iran: The Inevitable Fall Of A Repressive Regime

Amb. Kenneth Blackwell

. . ."The demands were clear: end the policy of appeasement, support the Iranian resistance, take tangible steps to curtail the regime’s capacity for oppression, particularly its nuclear ambitions, and officially designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization." . . .

"On a chilly Saturday in Paris, Feb. 8, 2025, the air was charged with the fervent hopes of thousands of Iranians, who marked the 46th anniversary of the Shah’s overthrow not merely as a historical reflection, but as a clarion call for a new revolution. This assembly, organized by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), wasn’t just a rally but a potent declaration against tyranny and a manifesto for democracy and freedom in Iran.

"Drawing thousands from Iranian diaspora communities and garnering substantial international support, the colorful and enthusiastic rally and march transcended geographical and cultural boundaries, uniting voices from diverse backgrounds, including representatives from 320 Iranian associations spanning Europe, North America, and Australia, as well as members of various nationalities, such as Kurdish, Baluch, and Arab communities, in a chorus calling for the Iranian regime’s end.

"It was not just a protest but a profound display of solidarity against oppression. They voiced a unified demand for the overthrow of the Iranian clerical regime and the establishment of a democratic republic.

"The rally’s keynote speaker was Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the NCRI, who addressed the crowd via video. Her speech was not just a tribute to the Iranian people’s monumental anti-monarchical revolution of Feb. 11, 1979, but also a powerful assertion of the inevitability of the mullahs’ downfall. “Yes, neither Shah nor Sheikh — long live the Iranian people’s democratic revolution!”

"Rajavi’s assertive declaration at a massive gathering of Iranians and international supporters that “the clerical regime’s demise has arrived” underscores a pivotal shift in the Iranian resistance movement. This change is fueled by a profound collective discontent against Iran’s current regime — a sentiment that resonates deeply on a global scale.

"She painted a picture of a regime beset on all sides — not just by the external pressures of sanctions and diplomatic isolation but more critically by internal dissension and a society seething with discontent and defiance.

"Rajavi’s bold proclamation —“With or without negotiations, with or without nuclear weapons, the uprising and overthrow await you (regime)!” — underscores the resistance’s readiness to end the era of theocratic rule. Her invocation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights emphasized the fundamental right to resist oppression, positioning the Iranian struggle within a global context of fights for freedom and dignity." . . .

Musk issues warning after anti-DOGE eruptions backed by Soros

 Washington Examiner

"Elon Musk, the head of the Department of Government Efficiency, admonished professional organizations linked to billionaire George Soros after they engineered anti-DOGE protests across the country. " . . .

https://spectator.org/

. . ."Indivisible and MoveOn are partisan networks tied to Soros, a powerful leftist figure in Democratic circles who has donated billions to controversial progressive initiatives in the U.S. and abroad through his Open Society Foundations. An investigation published this week by the Washington Free Beacon found that the two organizations organized seemingly organic constituent protests to DOGE at GOP town halls and congress members’ offices in several states.  for Zelensky takedown in latest flex of influence.

Musk issues warning Musk took to social media to address the news, telling followers that “pushing fake outrage” against DOGE will only “backfire” on Soros-linked groups. Soros has donated millions of dollars to both MoveOn and Indivisible. "

George Soros' death grip on the Democratic Party loosened on Nov. 5 - Washington Times   "The hard-left billionaire George Soros and his heir apparent son Alex have championed, with donations, defunding the police movement, open borders and soft prosecutors.

"But then came Nov. 5. Then former President Donald Trump beat Mr. Soros. And, in California, where the hedge fund operator has poured so much cash, liberal voters turned anti-Soros, saying with their ballots they want a war on criminals.

"They ousted one of Mr. Soros’ favorite and well-funded prosecutors, Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon ($3 million Soros dollars). Up north, Oakland-area voters kicked out the soft-on-crime prosecutor Pamela Price and city mayor Sheng Thao. (Have you seen videos of destructive “road rallies” in Oakland? No one apparently gets arrested, and businesses say they can’t survive such destructive mayhem.)

"In San Francisco, where liberals are tired of boarded-up stores, human street poop and obnoxious homeless, they defeated Mayor London Breed in favor of anti-crime candidate Daniel Lurie.

"Two years ago, the city’s residents recalled Soros-backed District Attorney Chesa Boudin. Mr. Boudin backed Ryan Khojasteh in this year’s race, but current DA Brooke Jenkins, a pro-victim prosecutor, soundly defeated him.

"Also, on election day, Californians overwhelmingly approved Proposition 36. It overrode the goofy state legislature’s move to decriminalize shoplifting." . . . Much more on Soros here.

Zelenskyy’s Misstep: Undermining Diplomacy in a Sacred American Place

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy provokes a heated exchange with Vice President JD Vance at a press conference in the Oval Office prior to closed door negotiations. American Spectator

"The president and vice president’s conduct reaffirmed a critical truth: “American dignity is not up for negotiation, and neither is peace.” The world took notice, and history will judge who stood on the side of honor and diplomacy." Michael Milton

Broc Smith

"Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy broke one of the cardinal rules of diplomacy today: Never introduce a surprise in a high-stakes meeting. This principle is sacrosanct among leaders, particularly when navigating complex international relationships. Yet, Zelenskyy employed a risky gambit, attempting to leverage media influence to strengthen his negotiating position with the nation that has already provided his country with $183 billion in aid.
"At the outset of a press conference intended to pave the way for a formal agreement, Zelenskyy seized upon a reporter’s question to deliver an unexpected lecture to the United States on the history of the war. The spectacle was nothing short of negotiation by media. Vice President JD Vance — understandably taken aback by Zelenskyy’s approach — challenged the Ukrainian president’s remarks, prompting Zelenskyy to accuse him of raising his voice. From that moment, the dialogue devolved into diplomatic disarray.
"What made the misstep more perplexing was Zelenskyy’s choice of venue: an American sacred space, emblematic of democracy and steeped in history. It was a move that not only undermined his cause but also weakened his government’s credibility. Most tragically, it risked jeopardizing the very people he represents — the Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines and the loved ones awaiting their safe return.
"Political strategist Karl Rove observed, “The only winner is Putin.” That may well be true, but President Trump did not enter the meeting seeking winners and losers. His purpose was clear and honorable: to pursue peace, to end bloodshed, and to uphold American dignity on the world stage. Whatever unfolds from here cannot be laid at the feet of an American president intent on peacemaking.
"In the wake of this diplomatic blunder, the American people can take pride in the resolve shown by both the president and vice president. Their conduct safeguarded not only the pursuit of peace but also the dignity and decorum of the United States. In stark contrast, Zelenskyy’s gambit proved to be a miscalculated maneuver that disrespected his hosts and compromised his strategic objectives." . . .

And KDJ's Clown of the Week Award Goes To...

Kevin Downey Jr.

Here [Crockett] goes off on DOGE, then whines about Musk's contract with the FAA to upgrade our aging air traffic controlling systems. And it isn't a good week for Crockett unless she gets to screech about "white privilege" before once again crying about "President Musk" as her Operation Mockingbird masters commanded. And who can resist calling Trump "orange Jesus"?

"There has been a change at "KDJ's Clown of the Week Award" (KCWA).

"With unrepining alacrity, Jasmine Crockett has once again dared to dazzle the KCWA academy (me) in a way that cannot be ignored. Crockett has been in the running every week thus far. She could win every week, but what fun would that be?

"Instead, the academy (I) has (have) decided to include a special segment every week called "Crockett's Weekly Codswallop" where we (I) will showcase Crockett's hilarious and yet tragic need for attention and burning desire to convince everyone interested that the silicone chip inside her head has been indeed switched to overload.

"Here goes the first one!

Crockett's Weekly Codswallop!

Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett has been working overtime to replace AOC as the Democrats' favorite hottish psychochick.

Crockett spent the week obeisantly regurgitating talking points sent to her by the DNC CIA.

Here she goes off on DOGE, then whines about Musk's contract with the FAA to upgrade our aging air traffic controlling systems. And it isn't a good week for Crockett unless she gets to screech about "white privilege" before once again crying about "President Musk" as her Operation Mockingbird masters commanded. And who can resist calling Trump "orange Jesus"?

I wish Crockett would just challenge AOC to a couple rounds of foxy boxing to see who is the most annoying Democratic congressional coquette.

"Now, let's get to the award portion of the program!"

Clown #1: Joy Reid . . .I never thought pouring a bourbon and watching Joy Reid getting fired could get any better, but then I saw Rachel Maddow call her employer, MSNBC, a racist ON AIR for firing racist Reid. Pour another whiskey and watch Rachel Maddow call MSNBC "racist" for firing Reid and another minority anchor." . . .

Here is an extra update for you:  TV host calls for The View to be cancelled after host ‘spits’ while speaking about Trump

"I'm going to start referring to Donald Trump as the thinking man's President."

 Ann Althouse

"There's an old story of a lady saying to Adlai Stevenson that he was the thinking man's candidate, and Adlai replied "But I need a majority.' " Comment to this post.

"I'd asked Meade (and Grok) about the adjectival phrase "thinking man's," which came up this morning in the comments on the post about Donald Trump's pardoning of Pete Rose, baseball being, some say, "the thinking man's sport."

"Googling jogged my memory: "The Thinking Man's" is a Playboy phrase (apparently, you need to think to deal with women):

"In that light, here's the 1990 Playboy interview with Donald Trump. Excerpt:
How do you respond when people call you ostentatious, ego-ridden and a greedy symbol of the Eighties?
Rich men are less likely to like me, but the working man likes me because he knows I worked hard and didn't inherit what I've built. Hey, I made it myself; I have a right to do what I want with it.
With so much poverty on the city streets, isn't it embarrassing for you to flaunt your wealth?

There has always been a display of wealth and always will be, until the depression comes, which it always does. And let me tell you, a display is a good thing. It shows people that you can be successful. It can show you a way of life. Dynasty did it on TV. It's very important that people aspire to be successful. The only way you can do it is if you look at somebody who is.

"A display is a good thing."

Fox Reporter's Backstory on Trump-Zelensky Meeting Shows Just How Mad Trump Was

Nick Arama

"He came during the US presidential elections and went to the opposition to give his support now imagine if it was the other way, if he backed Trump but then the opposition wow, u think they would show a faction of consideration? It was first incredibly irresponsible as a leader of a nation to not know what that could have resulted."

"It's certainly been a fire-breathing meeting between President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Volodymyr Zelensky.

"As we reported, it did not go well, with Zelensky getting up in the face of Trump. He was trying to dictate to Trump and Vance, telling them they were wrong about things, without any appreciation for what the United States has done for his country.

"So what exactly happened? That's a good question because I have no idea what Zelensky was thinking. This was not a situation where President Donald Trump was beating him over the head or demanding he submit to a specific narrative surrounding the war in Ukraine. On the contrary, the meeting was essentially over when Zelensky decided it'd be a great idea to try to publicly embarrass Trump and Vice President JD Vance in front of the press.

"The sticking point appeared to be Vance, who was wrapping up the press conference, mentioning diplomacy being a means to end the war. Zelensky, for whatever reason, took great offense at that suggestion and asked the vice president if he could ask him a question. The Ukrainian president then leaned forward and began to dismiss the idea of a ceasefire, citing deals that Russia has broken in the past. That's when things touched off, with Zelensky and Vance going back and forth.

RIP, Gene Hackman

"I'm 54 years old love this film, love Gene Hackman, but never knew that he was the blind man till a few weeks ago when stumbling across a short vid about Hackman practically begging Gene Wilder to be in this film. He refused to have his name on the credits."

"If you want an example there are no small roles only small actors, this is it. Hackman steals the movie with this scene." From the comments to this video.

"Many people do not appreciate the comical performances Gene Hackman played in his movies. Most remember him for his bad ass characters he portrayed in The French Connection, Unforgiven, Crimson Tide, Mississippi Burning... to name a few. Your acting roles will never be forgotten. The world lost an iconic actor with his passing. RIP Mr. and Mrs. Gene Hackman and pet."

Obama has disrespected America's allies a time or two

Inside Barack Obama and Benjamin Netanyahu's Strained Relationship - ABC News  "The White House's decision last week to abstain from voting on a United Nations Security Council resolution that demanded Israel stop settlement construction on occupied Palestinian territory infuriated Benjamin Netanyahu, further straining an already tense relationship between the Israeli prime minister and President Obama.

"The decision to abstain from voting broke with decades of US policy that shunned UN resolutions which condemned the settlements.

""Netanyahu took to Twitter to express his displeasure with the US, namely arguing that the UN was not the venue to tackle the issue of the settlements." . . .

In Netanyahu's new book, Obama's disrespect, an Afghan invite, the annexation fiasco | The Times of Israel     . . ."Netanyahu paints the years of the Barack Obama presidency as a sustained, bruising struggle between himself and the Democratic leader, whom he characterizes as idealistic and driven but also aloof, disdainful, ignorant of Middle East realities and far too willing to appease Israel’s rivals — both in Ramallah and in Tehran." . . .

At White House, the Dalai Lama sidesteps trash - CSMonitor.com

Back-door Dalai’s not-so-grand exit Feb. 20, 2010  . . ."The spiritual leader, who visited Washington this week, had a rather undignified departure from the White House, exiting from a side door — walking past big piles of bagged garbage — on Thursday after he had a sit-down with President Obama.

"The Dalai Lama’s march out the Palm Room doors took him alongside heaps of trash whose removal had been delayed by snow.

"After the face-to-face, the leader of the Tibetan government-in-exile declared Obama “supportive,” infuriating Chinese leaders, who said the meeting hindered their own relationship with the United States."

Obama's people say it was not the 'back door"; it was the Palm Room door. But they did have to walk around trash and perhaps China liked the photograph of that.

Why Did Obama Receive Dalai Lama Through White House’s Back Door? – OpEd – Eurasia Review   . . ."Since assuming the position of President, Obama had previously hosted the Dalai Lama three times. Each time, China has objected.

"Instead of telling China firmly that he would meet the Dalai Lama, President Obama received the Dalai Lama on June 15 into the White House through the back door. President Obama has tried to keep the meeting without undue publicity and held the meeting behind the closed doors.  Obama met the Dalai Lama in the Map Room instead of in the Oval office and he took care to ensure that the press would not be invited. Obviously Mr. Obama wanted to keep the news about his meeting the Dalai Lama as secret to the extent possible and to ensure that the photographs of the meeting and the images would not be flashed around the world.

"It is surprising that the President of USA, which claims itself to the torch bearer of freedom and pledged supporter for the cause of liberty and human dignity, does not have the courage to stand up to China and tell China in clear terms that the Dalai Lama has been sinned against and has not sinned." . . .

Now prepare for the press barrage against Trump and his administration over the major changes taking place and the encounter with Zelensky today. TD
