A lieutenant with 19 years on the job remembers hearing nervous laughter when he walked into his New York Police Department command post the morning after Zohran Mamdani won the Democratic mayoral nomination in June.

“Everyone was like, ‘Get ready to retire,’ ” he told me. “It was definitely like the sky was falling.”

The lieutenant said that he always thought he would stay on the police force for at least 25 years. Many cops say that if you stay for 25 or 30 years, you might never have to work another day in your life. The pension is that good. Now, he isn’t sure if it’s still worth it.

"Speaking to members of the press during an impromptu press gaggle in the Oval Office on Monday, Trump was asked about the Israeli government arresting and deporting activists like Thunberg, who were traveling to Gaza.

" 'Well, she's just a troublemaker," Trump said. "You mean, she's no longer into the environment. She's into this. She's just a troublemaker. She's got an anger management problem."

" 'I think she should see a doctor," he added. "She needs anger…have you ever watched her? She's a young person. She's so angry. She's so crazy. No, you can have her."

"Trump's comments came after Thunberg blasted Israel for treating her harshly while being detained at Ketziot prison, after she was taken into custody on her selfie flotilla, RedState's Original John Doe reported.

According to The Guardian in its 'exclusive' report, Thunberg accused Israel of detaining her in a cell infested with bed bugs and forcing her to hold flags while her picture was taken. The Guardian admits that the identity of the flags is unknown.

An official with the Swedish Foreign Ministry visited Thunberg in prison. The Guardian claims to have seen an email sent by the Swedish Foreign Ministry to people close to Thunberg. According to the outlet, the email reads: "The embassy has been able to meet with Greta. She informed of dehydration [sic]. She has received insufficient amounts of both water and food. She also stated that she had developed rashes, which she suspects were caused by bedbugs. She spoke of harsh treatment and said she had been sitting for long periods on hard surfaces."

The email continues, "Another detainee reportedly told another embassy that they had seen her [Thunberg] being forced to hold flags while pictures were taken. She wondered whether images of her had been distributed."

Ersin Çelik, another activist from the Global Sumud flotilla, told Turkey's state-run national news agency Anadolu, "They dragged little Greta [Thunberg] by her hair before our eyes, beat her, and forced her to kiss the Israeli flag. They did everything imaginable to her, as a warning to others." Lorenzo D'Agostino, a freelance journalist who was part of the Global Sumud  flotilla, told Anadolu that Thunberg was "wrapped in the Israeli flag and paraded like a trophy."

However, Israel's Foreign Ministry hit back at those claims, calling them "brazen lies.". . . .

I want to make something very clear. These Black men aren’t walking away from the Democrat Party because they’re in their feelings. They’re not walking away from the Democrat Party because they’re somehow misinformed and they’re being fooled. The “everyday” Black man has been invisible to the Democrat Party for quite some time now. So what is happening is that Black working-class men simply are realizing that the politics of the so-called political left in the United States does not serve them and by extension does not serve their Black family or our Black communities.

The initial assault achieved tactical surprise, with three German armies comprising over 200,000 men crashing through thinly held American positions in the Ardennes Forest.

"Kampfgruppe Peiper, the spearhead formation of the 1st SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler, had penetrated deepest into American lines. Under the command of Obersturmbannführer Joachim Peiper, this battle group consisted of approximately 4,000 men, 600 vehicles, and 100 tanks. Their mission was simple in concept but brutal in execution: drive west at maximum speed, seize bridges across the Meuse River, and create chaos in the American rear.

"By December 18th, Kampfgruppe Peiper had advanced nearly 40 miles, leaving destruction in its wake. But the rapid advance had created a critical problem documented in German military records. Fuel consumption had exceeded planning estimates by 300%. The Panther and Tiger tanks, while formidable weapons, consumed gasoline at rates the Wehrmacht's collapsing logistics network could no longer sustain. Each Panther tank required 270 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. Each Tiger II consumed even more, approximately 450 liters for the same distance."
