Toward A Better America

"Until the midterms, we will be watching a massively coordinated attack denigrating all the good that has happened since Trump won in 2024"

  American Thinker

"A combination of the leftist media and apostate “right-leaning” influencers will try to sell us just how awful Trump has been, so the wonderful communists, er, Democrats can ruin us once again. It will be hard to stomach."

. . . "And if you think the Democrats care about affordability, think again. It was Obama and Biden who purposefully caused gas to be high with their policies. They said they wanted it to happen. Their policies made it happen. Gas and high prices under Democrats are normative. The Democrats don’t give a fig about affordability. They have no right to claim the mantle of caring about affordability. They don’t want to, nor know how to bring affordability. They just know how to demagogue the issue so they can retake power. That is all they want.

"What they are best at is using the beehive of their media friends to convince you that things are terrible. That Trump is a warmonger. That the economy is and will be terrible. That everything Trump touches is horrible. That they can fix everything to be better. That they’re really not radical leftists who hate America.

"That’s the picture they will paint. It’s what they want us to believe. And they have the cultural power to sway too many of us. What we need to do is simple: Stand and fight the onslaught of their propaganda. Do not let them demoralize you or anyone else. Remember, there is a country to save from these leftist radicals. And it’s you who has the power to defeat them. Get up, engage, donate, support candidates without a (D) behind their name. Vote and get voters to the polls whom you know will help. Persuade those on the fence if you can. Democrats must lose.

"If you are conservative, right-of-center, independent, or moderate, please consider: You do not want the newly constituted radical left in charge. Of anything. Period.

"Pray for and work towards victory. You won’t regret it. But you will regret doing less than you could to support this administration."    More

Accused flydubai hijacker religious extremist who refuses to shake women's hands: 'We hired a terrorist'  " Attention airlines, can you please not hire jihadis and stick them at the controls of an airplane? There are plenty of normal young people who would jump at the chance at a career in commercial aviation. Thank you for your attention to this matter."

Indian Pilot Smit Machchhar just saved 174 lives!   Grok on X: "Exact type: Boeing 737 MAX 8 (A6-FKF). To recover a ~10k fpm nose dive: disconnect AP/AT, firmly pull back on the yoke to raise elevators and pitch the nose up, reduce thrust if overspeeding, level wings, then trim. Simply pulling applies nose-up elevator force, which slows the dive a… / X

How a flydubai 737 MAX Lost 15,000 Feet in Under Two Minutes

. . . "Every airliner has speed limits, VMO (maximum operating speed) and MMO (maximum operating Mach). For the 737 family these are roughly 340 knots and Mach 0.82, but check the flight crew manual for exact figures.

"There are two reasons a steep descent from 34,000 ft pushes an aircraft past them:

  • Air gets denser as you descend. At the same true airspeed, indicated airspeed rises, so the aircraft can exceed VMO even if Mach does not increase.
  • Loads grow with the square of speed. Dynamic pressure is half the air density times speed squared, so 100 knots over the limit puts far higher loads on every surface than normal flight." . . .More.
One final note: Hero plumber who stopped co-pilot from crashing flydubai plane has special message for Trump   . . . "The heroic plumber who helped to stop the frenzied flydubai co-pilot from trying to crash an Israel-bound plane had a special message for his own hero, President Trump.
"“Tell Trump that I love him,” Yaniv Hayoun asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when they embraced in his office Thursday, with the hero passenger still in his blood-soaked clothes." . . .

The copilot screamed "Kill the Jews!" and "Allahu Akbar!", but his reasons for the attack are unclear

What happened on flydubai flight FZ1073? | Airline Ratings

"Captain Smit Machchhar reportedly kept fighting for the safety of his passengers despite serious injuries, and his actions at the cockpit door gave the people behind him a chance to intervene."

"How the sequence of events on flight FZ1073 unfolded and the motive

"The journey began normally when the flight departed Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates at 7:05am. Two and a half hours into the flight, everything changed when the first officer tried to take over the plane, presumably to crash it. During the struggle for control, the captain was stabbed by the co-pilot, and data shows the plane plummeted 17,000ft in one to two minutes.

"The aircraft squawked 7700 for a general emergency as the rapid descent occurred and then 7500 for unlawful interference or hijacking before settling on the general emergency code again before landing. The transponder code for unlawful interference prompting the dispatch of Israeli fighter jets to the aircraft.

"A spokesman for Netanyahu told Reuters that Captain Machchhar opened the cockpit door despite his injuries, which allowed two off-duty pilots to enter and land the plane, and other crew and passengers to restrain the first officer. This, however, is unconfirmed, with other reports suggesting the cabin crew used the emergency procedure code to request access into the cockpit as they would do in the case whereby a pilot is incapacitated."  More.

Flydubai didn’t suffer a random act of terrorism. It scheduled one   . . . "Under security arrangements reportedly governing Flydubai flights to Israel, pilots from countries without diplomatic relations with Israel were not supposed to operate the route. Oman does not have diplomatic relations with Israel.

"Yet, an Omani first officer was sitting in the cockpit of a flight bound for Tel Aviv.

"That fact deserves far more scrutiny than it has received.

"This was not information anyone discovered at 34,000 feet. Pilots do not show up for work anonymously. Airlines know who is flying their airplanes. There are crew rosters, passports, licenses, employment records, and schedules." . . .

Flydubai Flight 1073: Why Won’t The Media Call It Islamic Terrorism?    "Flydubai Flight 1073 was forced to make an emergency landing after a violent cockpit attack during its flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv. Rich Lowry examines the media’s initial coverage of the incident and asks why suspected Islamist terrorism is so often described in more cautious terms. From the Flydubai attack to the Pulse nightclub shooting, San Bernardino, and the Manchester Arena bombing, Rich argues that the same pattern has appeared repeatedly — and contrasts that caution with the media’s coverage of the 2023 Gaza hospital explosion."

We still do not know the co-pilot's name! "The Flydubai co-pilot accused of attacking Captain Smit Machchhar and attempting to seize control of Flight FZ1073 has still not been publicly identified. Officials have described him as an Omani national, but his name remains undisclosed as Saudi, Emirati, Israeli and other authorities investigate what happened inside the cockpit and what motivated the attack. Watch!

FlyDubai Hijack Exposed Security Gap Israel’s Enemies Will Try To Exploit

"The attempted hijacking of FlyDubai Flight 1073 exposed a potentially dangerous gap in the security procedures protecting flights into Israel — despite the extraordinary actions that brought the aircraft safely to the ground. "In this episode of The Benjamin Anthony Show, Benjamin examines what happened aboard the Tel Aviv-bound flight and what the incident could mean for Israel. He is joined by MirYam Institute in-house analyst Yaakov Lappin, who argues that the remarkable outcome should not obscure what he sees as a serious failure in the system. "Benjamin and Yaakov examine the threat posed by the rogue Omani co-pilot, previous warnings over the vetting of international pilots flying into Israel, what now needs to change and why hostile actors may take notice of the vulnerability exposed by Flight 1073. "They also recount the extraordinary actions of those who helped save the aircraft, including Capt. Smit Machchhar, the badly injured pilot who managed to unlock the cockpit, and Israeli passenger Yaniv Chayon, who helped overpower the attacker and stabilise the aircraft during its catastrophic descent. "The discussion also examines Saudi Arabia’s response after the aircraft was forced to land in Tabuk, the implications for Israel’s relationship with the UAE, and the lessons that could now reshape the safeguards protecting international flights into Israel."

The Shameless Press; The Genocide Accusation Against Israel: A Dangerous Projection

Too Stupid To Survive #271 | Stately McDaniel Manor

"No, you really cannot hate and distrust the media enough.  Virtually every legacy news outlet here and abroad did its best to avoid calling this terrorism.  A Muslim co-pilot, an Omani from a country friendly to Iran, tries to kill the pilot and dive a Boeing 737 into Israel, and as always, the media dare not tell the obvious truth about Islam." . . .More.

The Genocide Accusation Against Israel: A Dangerous Projection
. . . "The way the war was fought indicates that the objective was not to destroy the Palestinian people. Israel issued evacuation orders through leaflets, phone calls, and broadcasts, and paused operations to allow civilians to move out of danger. Such warnings sacrifice one of warfare’s most basic advantages: surprise. The perpetrators of the last century’s genocides did the opposite. The Nazis used deception to move Jews toward the killing sites. In Rwanda, militias set up roadblocks to catch Tutsi trying to flee. A regime bent on extermination does not tell its victims where to go to survive."
Trump bans liberal activists masquerading as objective journalists.   . . . "Make no mistake. As is discernible right there, the liberal activists pretending to be independent journalists are not happy at the appearance of any remotely conservative journalist in the White House press room.
"And suffice to say, there is history here. Lots of it, going back decades to the emergence of William F. Buckley Jr. and his pioneering conservative publication National Review (The 1950s). Buckley was promptly dumped on by the liberal media of his day, a pattern that became the norm as the conservative media gained strength over the coming years.
"In short? (Or long?) Here we are in 2026, decades after Bill Buckley opened the door to focusing on the myth of non-partisan journalism and revealing it to be a mask for liberal media activism." . . .

You Really Don’t Want Democrats To Win The Midterms

 J. Robert Smith

"The midterms are about more than Trump, Iran, and the price of gas. They reflect an ideological shift among Democrats that could permanently change America’s trajectory."

"So, you’re thinking about sitting out the midterms. Or you might just vote Democrat to protest. The Iran war has dragged on too long, you say. Months rather than weeks hardly make it Vietnam, though. Casualties are minor. Consider: Iran with nuclear weapons would be an uber-terror state. It would pose a 24/7 threat to U.S. security. Victor Davis Hanson is right: Breaking Iran is a gift, yet hard to appreciate now. Higher gas, diesel, and grocery prices are chewing up your budget. No argument. But relief is coming.
"The midterms are playing out in a broader context. They’re threshold elections for Democrats. They’re crossing over into socialism. When you appreciate how extreme their agenda is about to become, maybe it would be wise to temper your disgust with Trump and Republicans? For Democrats, there’s no turning back.
"Democrats aren’t merely jumping the shark. They’ve been moving left since Woodrow Wilson. Once venerated, Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson are thoroughly reviled by the rank and file. JFK was an outlier.
"Full-throttle socialism is Democrats’ logical destination. And not years from now. With socialism comes rigid top-down governance. “Collective” rights over individual rights. Less is more mantras. A potential climate “holocaust” -- unending kudos to grifter Al Gore -- makes draconian economic policies mandatory. Do you appreciate how “greens” have hobbled Germany’s economy?" . . .More.

Why Be Jewish In A Time Of Rampant Antisemitism?

American Thinker

"For those Jews questioning their allegiance to Judaism in these trying times, this is a reminder of the myriad blessings that flow from fealty to the faith."

"Why should any Jew want to remain a Jew, given the long-standing, rampant anti-Semitism in the world? There must have been evolutionary advantages. Otherwise, Jews and Judaism would have disappeared over the millennia. The following mechanisms embedded in Judaism make it not only palatable, but desirable for Jews to remain within the fold.

"First. At its heart, Judaism touts the Ten Commandments. Let’s begin with “You Should Not Murder!” If murder is forbidden and this restriction applies to all members of the Jewish tribe without exception, everyone is safer without having to resort to the revenge behavior common in pre-Biblical times to obtain justice. Expectations of intra-group safety have always been part of Jewish communal life.

"Second. The commandment to “Honor Your Mother and Father” makes parental abandonment of children less likely. It is a form of social security that enshrines the principle of reciprocity across generations. If parents care for their children with great and continuous affection, the children may remember and feel obligated to care for their elderly parents.

"Third. The observance of the Jewish Sabbath (Shabbat) is an amazing commandment. The Biblical punishment for violating Shabbat restrictions was death by stoning (with only one reported case). Nonetheless, the Jews had to be coerced, with threats of capital punishment, into taking one day in seven for rest. Perhaps opposition to Shabbat restrictions arose because “rest” extended to wives, children, slaves, servants, and work animals.

"In short, Shabbat was a major move toward civilization. A sanctioned day away from labor was essentially nonexistent in the late Neolithic and early Bronze Ages before the Biblical commandment was promulgated. It was costly to skip work for one day in seven, but Shabbat increased opportunities for rest, health, and joy. During Temple times, singing and playing musical instruments were proper activities for the day of rest, as recorded in King David’s Psalms." . . .  More.

Nancy Guthrie latest updates: Authorities investigate possible new ransom note

Nancy Guthrie has been missing since Feb. 1.

"In July, the Pima County Sheriff's Department released two ransom notes that surfaced after Nancy's disappearance, asking anyone who recognized the writer's distinctive style to come forward."

"Authorities have said they are looking into a possible new ransom note linked to the Nancy Guthrie investigation, nearly eight months after she went missing.
"Posting on X on Sept. 28, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said its joint task force with the FBI had been "recently made aware" of the note, adding that investigators are reviewing social media comments about it as they work to "determine its credibility."
"Officials have not disclosed how they found the note or what it says.
"This is the latest note potentially linked to the case. In July, authorities released two ransom notes initially sent to a Tucson TV station and other news outlets days after the mother of "Today" show host Savannah Guthrie went missing.
"Nancy, 84, disappeared from her home in Tucson, Arizona, on Jan. 31. She was last seen at about 9:45 p.m. when a family member dropped her off after dinner, and was reported missing around noon the next day when she didn't show up at a friend's house to watch a church service online.
"Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has said investigators believe she was taken by force, ruling out any dementia-related disappearance. "She is as sharp as a tack," he said early in the investigation, adding that her physical limitations were "based on just age." Guthrie relies on a pacemaker and requires daily medication that could be fatal to miss." . . . More.

Feds Arrest Department Of Energy Engineer Accused Of Helping Iran-Backed Houthis Build Bombs And Drones

100PercentFedUp

"Hostile groups also hunt for expertise inside American institutions, where technical access and public trust become powerful weapons in the wrong hands."

"A federal employee entrusted with work inside America’s Department of Energy is now accused of trying to put his technical expertise at the service of an Iran-backed terrorist organization.

"Federal agents arrested a 51-year-old electrical engineer from Richland, Washington, after investigators say he bought materials associated with homemade explosives and drones, traveled into Houthi-controlled Yemen and later advised people he believed were connected to the group.

"The suspect, Ashton Hamed Ellaboudy, worked for the Department of Energy. Prosecutors charged him with attempting to provide material support or resources to the Houthis, a U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organization.

"The FBI publicly confirmed the arrest and framed the case as a homeland-security operation:" . . .   More.

'Clowns are out.' Hegseth lashes out at trans troops, 'beardos' in speech

Hegseth blasts DEI, transgender troops in State of the Force speech

House Dems offer bill to keep transgender troops in the ranks   "Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth lashed out about transgender troops, disparaged diversity initiatives and criticized the news media in a speech to U.S. service members gathered at the Marine Corps Base Quantico.

The address, dubbed the "State of the Force," was promoted by the Pentagon as a chance for Hegseth to lay out his priorities for the coming year. Instead, it largely gave him a chance to air his long-held grievances and concerns about the military's culture.

"The ideological clowns are out, the patriotic cowboys are in," Hegseth said. "Diversity is not our strength, unity is our strength because that’s all that really matters when the missiles are flying."

Though Hegseth started the address by focusing on culture issues in the military, he announced several modernization initiatives.

Here's How 'The New York Times' Reported 9 Historic Attacks

 Babylon Bee

"The New York Times is a staple of the American newspaper industry, which is impressive considering it has a reputation for not reporting news. Its recent treatment of the attempted terrorist hijacking of a FlyDubai jet is only the latest example.

Does AI-Detection Software Work? We Tested 3 Popular Tools.

The Thinking Conservative News

"Despite high track records for accuracy, these tools shouldn’t replace human judgement, attorneys and tech insiders say.

"Writing generated by artificial intelligence is becoming a familiar headache for publishers, educators, and other professionals amid widespread calls to protect and prioritize human-authored content.

"AI writing detectors have stepped up to the challenge; some tool makers say they can identify human versus AI prose with up to 99 percent accuracy.

"But attorneys say caution is needed. Educators, publishers, and employers using an AI detection score as the basis of their decision-making over questionable writing could face serious legal consequences.

"AI experts—even those who’ve built detection tools—say these services are meant to offer useful clues, but aren’t infallible. In fact, they seem to share a common blind spot.

Putting It to the Test

"Researchers have been evaluating AI detection tools for some time, and studies and experts have emphasized one key point: Humans still need to be part of the assessment process.

"In a 2026 study published in the International Journal for Educational Integrity, researchers wrote, “While detection tools can provide useful initial flags, they should not be used as sole evidence in high-stakes decision-making but should be implemented in a broader evaluation strategy.”

"Studies and experts have also raised concerns about the accuracy of these tools and their potential to flag human writing as AI.

"“A detection result is a signal, not a verdict. It should open an inquiry, never close one,” a spokesperson for GPTZero told The Epoch Times.

"In a professional setting, two things matter more than the detector itself.

"“First, an organization needs a written AI-use policy before it needs a detector. Detection can help enforce a standard; it cannot substitute for having one,” the spokesperson said.

"'Second, look for patterns rather than single instances, and pair detection with process evidence.” . . .  More.    Read Full Article on TheEpochTimes.com
