Syria's President Ahmad al-Sharaa, formerly on the U.S. terrorist list, was granted a visit to the White House Monday to discuss joint anti-ISIS cooperation. Ahmad revealed Syria produces 3 million barrels of oil a day. He was really smart to wait until Dick Cheney died before making it public.

Victor Davis Hanson: Michelle Obama’s ‘Whining Tour’ and the Obamas' Oppression Myth Exposed

The Daily Signal

"From Michelle’s “Vogue” covers to her lavish estates, Victor Davis Hanson questioned the victimhood narrative being perpetuated by America's most privileged elites on last week’s edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words:”

“You did whatever you wanted, and yet now you [complain], and now you're worth probably over a hundred million dollars.-- Life is so hard on you because you have a beach estate in Hawaii that you built. Contrary to many environmental regulations, you have an abode on Martha's Vineyard.  So both of you have nothing to complain about. There are millions of people in America—Indian, Hispanic, Black, and White—who would die to have the opportunities that you have.--There are ups, and there are downs, and we've all suffered ups and downs. DEI—that's why it's such a pernicious ideology, because you can translate any personal unhappiness into a cosmic ism or ology against you; on this Marxist binary you're on.”

Gavin Newsom Blames Climate Change for Slow Rebuild of Pacific Palisades

  Amy Curtis; Townhall

Everything this man  does makes beautiful California a worse state to live in. TD

. . . "He has a way of saying a lot without saying anything.

"In January, the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) cited years of intentional, politics-driven mismanagement as the reason wildfires are so extreme in the state:

California, the most-taxed state in the nation, boasts unparalleled financial resources. Yet, despite its wealth, the state continues to fail its residents by neglecting the most basic measures needed to protect them from devastating wildfires. Poor water management, bureaucratic resistance to wildfire remediation efforts, and misplaced spending priorities have left Californians vulnerable to disasters that are both predictable and preventable.

With the largest economy of any U.S. state, California has no shortage of financial resources. In 2024, Governor Gavin Newsom announced an unexpected $16.5 billion budget surplus. Yet, instead of prioritizing wildfire prevention, the administration cut the CAL FIRE resource management budget by 50%, reducing funding for critical forest and wildfire resilience programs. This shortfall forces firefighters to contend with overgrown forests and unchecked underbrush that act as kindling for the state’s now-annual infernos.

"Additionally, California politicians, rather than climate change, have made it difficult for insurance companies to raise rates in response to natural disasters — the same ones that Democrats, such as Gavin Newsom, exacerbate by failing to implement basic wildfire mitigation measures. Even the state insurance plan is feeling the strain.". . .  More...

Humiliated Dems Forced to Delete Latest False Claim About Epstein and Trump

 RedState

"If the Democrat party were capable of feeling any level of shame, they must surely go home at night, look themselves in the mirror, then curl up in the fetal position on the floor, riddled with embarrassment. But we all know they don't feel shame." . . .

Democrats were left with a heaping helping of egg on their face after another attempt to link President Trump to Jeffrey Epstein failed, forcing them to scramble to delete the flimsy "evidence" involving their latest baseless claim.

The Democratic National Committee's official X account on Thursday posted and then quickly deleted a claim alleging the President spent Thanksgiving 2017 with Jeffrey Epstein.

Using incredibly out-of-context emails, the DNC made it clear that they were offering evidence that "documents show Donald Trump spent Thanksgiving with Jeffrey Epstein in 2017."

Whoever pushed out that message clearly struggles with reading comprehension and didn't for a moment wonder about the plausibility of the leader of the free world sneaking out of Turkey Day celebrations to pal around with a convicted sex offender for a few hours ... without anybody noticing." . . . Parallels abound between the governance of California and Iran

Bill Ponton

"Iran has also followed a path of ideologically-driven destruction like the one that California took. With the revenues from oil, Iran made giant strides toward modernity during the Shah’s reign. However, that changed after a murderous theocracy took power. When eradicating the state of Israel and killing all the Jews becomes your most important goal, it does not leave much time for fulfilling the basic needs of your people."

"Parallels abound between the governance of Iran and California over the last half century. To start with, both the government of Iran and California were taken over by ideologues in the late 1970s. In California, the takeover occurred during Governor Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown’s tenure. In Iran, it was Ayatollah Khomeini’s ascendancy to power during the revolt against the Shah.

"Governor Jerry Brown, affectionately called “Moonbeam” by his girlfriend, singer Linda Ronstadt, epitomized the spirit of Californian progressiveness. It started with a hippie back-to-earth vibe mixed with a liberal dose of Hollywood (and later Silicon Valley) celebrity hobnobbing. This ‘70s psychobabble has continued unbroken for fifty years to the present-day administration of Brown’s smarmy heir, Governor Gavin “French Laundry” Newsom. The only difference being that it is more pronounced with a bend toward transgenderism and diversity.

"Prior to 1970, the Californian political persuasion was predominately conservative and focused on the business of providing Californians with the services needed to live in a landscape that required large-scale engineering to make it habitable. Dams and aqueducts had to be expanded and maintained to provide Californians, especially in the southern part of the state, with the water that they needed.

"With the takeover by progressives, neglect of water infrastructure by state government became acute. Californians and their legislators became distracted with the quest for an environmental utopia. Restoring the smelt population, building high-speed rail transit to nowhere, and pursuing an expensive energy transition to net-zero became the focus. The more mundane needs of Californians for affordable, reliable, and plentiful electricity, water, and transportation were ignored.  It is not a coincidence that a large section of Los Angeles burnt to the ground from a lack of adequate water pressure, while the mayor was off getting in touch with her African roots. Obsession with ideology is the root cause of the decline in the efficacy of public services in California." . . .  More...

Jasmine Crockett’s Woman of the People Shtick Blows Up After Release of Latest FEC Filings

RedState   "Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) revealed that fellow Rep. Jasmine Crockett's (D-TX) diva attitude and poor treatment of her staff are so much worse than we previously thought/reported.

"During her appearance on the Sirius XM "The Megyn Kelly Show" podcast on Tuesday, MTG didn't hold back her thoughts about Crockett and shared some of the insane treatment she's witnessed of the Texas rep's staff by Crockett." . . .

. . . "Several sources with knowledge told The New York Post that her behavior behind the scenes is worse than what we see in public.

Here's just a sampling of it:

She is lying around her apartment, won't come into the office, and is really just indifferent to staff and will scream at them," the former aide said.

"She is never in the office and is very disengaged. She does her bulls— that goes viral, and then freaks out over the most random things."

A second source close to Crockett's team added: "It is widely known that she's not nice to staff and is just not a really dedicated member focused on constituents."

"She is focused almost exclusively on being an influencer, not a member of Congress," said a third source who has worked with Crockett, describing her as "all diva, no wow."

"Crockett's response to the "boss from hell" report was just as you could predict, with her showing peak narcissism, as RedState reported."

My Sparkling Cameo in the Epstein Files!

Ann Coulter; Substack

"Epstein was a “friend” of Donald Trump’s the same way he is a “friend” of Pinch Sulzberger by virtue of reading The New York Times. He’s been to Trump’s club. (That is, until Trump barred him for propositioning the underage daughter of a member.)"

"Strangely, the media have suddenly taken an intense interest in the case of pedophile and major Democratic donor Jeffrey Epstein.

"In 2005, the Palm Beach police were told by the mother of a young girl in West Palm Beach that her daughter had been brought to the Democratic donor’s mansion and asked to have sex with him for money. This kicked off an intensive, one-year undercover investigation.

"The police sifted through Epstein’s garbage and interviewed 17 witnesses, including the housemen, who told of sex toys and dildos left behind after the underage girls left. One of Epstein’s procurers, a 20-year-old local woman named Haley Robson, who was paid $200 for every teenaged girl she brought to Jeffrey, was cooperating with police, telling them she was like “Heidi Fleiss.” They obtained statements from five of Epstein’s young victims, who said they’d been paid $200 to $300 to engage in various sex acts with him. Police raided Epstein’s home, finding explicit photographs of teenaged girls, incriminating phone records — and one girl’s high school transcript.

"But when the police chief brought this mountain of evidence to Palm Beach County’s Democratic prosecutor Barry Krischer, he punted, charging the Democrat child molester with only one count of soliciting prostitution — yes, the child victims were labeled “prostitutes” — and offered Epstein probation.

"Perhaps Krischer was exhausted, having just spent three years hounding Rush Limbaugh for abusing back pain medication.

"Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter exploded in rage. (Meanwhile, Epstein claimed to be the victim of an anti-Semitic conspiracy on Palm Beach.) Chief Reiter wrote an open letter to Krischer asking the Democrat to remove himself from the case. Then he turned to the Bush administration to seek justice against a Democratic donor/accused child rapist.

"As stories go, a child sex case involving a Palm Beach billionaire was pretty big. It was covered in the British press, in Florida media, at The New York Post and at Fox News. Bill O’Reilly led with the story on his Fox News show.

"But CNN and MSNBC did not breathe a word about a Democratic prosecutor refusing to hold a Democratic child rapist accountable." . .  .READ THE REST HERE

Epstein

Fetterman Criticizes Democrats for Withholding Epstein Files Under Biden Presidency.    WHAT HAPPENED: Democratic Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman criticized the former Biden government for not releasing files about deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein during its time in office.

Democrats reach again into the great pile of Epstein-files doo-doo and just can't find their pony

"Anyone who got in his way, as Trump definitely did by throwing him out of his Mar-A-Lago club for coming on to the young women and girls there for his evil perversions was, in Epstein's diseased mind, the worst person he'd ever met. Epstein served Epstein, so anyone who didn't was bad news to him."

Democrats Released Three Cherrypicked Epstein Emails, so the GOP Released 20,000  "The so-called bombshell consisted of three email exchanges. The crown jewel of their selective leak was a 2011 email between Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in which Epstein described Trump as "the dog that hasn't barked." He noted that a victim had spent hours with Trump at Epstein’s house.

"Democrats redacted the victim's name in their release, but we know exactly who they were talking about: Virginia Giuffre. The reason for the redaction becomes clear when you learn what Giuffre has actually said under oath. She has testified that she never witnessed Trump engage in any wrongdoing. She stated that Trump never acted inappropriately with her, that she never saw Trump and Epstein together, and that she never saw Trump at any of Epstein's homes. Her memoir reinforces this point, making abundantly clear that Trump had zero involvement in Epstein's illegal activities.

"White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt wasted no time setting the record straight. "The Democrats selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump," Leavitt said Wednesday. "The 'unnamed victim' referenced in these emails is the late Virginia Giuffre, who repeatedly said President Trump was not involved in any wrongdoing whatsoever and 'couldn't have been friendlier' to her in their limited interactions."

"Leavitt went further, reminding everyone of what actually happened between Trump and Epstein. "The fact remains that President Trump kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club decades ago for being a creep to his female employees, including Giuffre," she explained. "These stories are nothing more than bad-faith efforts to distract from President Trump's historic accomplishments, and any American with common sense sees right through this hoax and clear distraction from the government opening back up again." . . .

The Democrats’ Latest Trump-Epstein 'Bombshell' Actually Vindicates Trump

And With That Development, the Dems’ Latest Trump-Epstein Stunt Has Imploded  . . . "And this is why Democrats can’t be trusted with all the files—not all of them are real. They want anything that can be used to damage Trump. In this case, it could be alleged, to the shock of no one, that they manufactured a fake news story. NONE of the Epstein victims who have come forward have accused Trump of wrongdoing. Also, the victim in this document dump is the late Virginia Giuffre, so why are Democrats making it look like she committed perjury? It's just a mess."

Trump Asks Supreme Court to Throw Out the Worst Biden-Era Miscarriage of Justice Against Him

 PJ Media

“President Trump has clearly and consistently denied that this supposed incident ever occurred. No physical or DNA evidence corroborates Carroll’s story. There were no eyewitnesses, no video evidence, and no police report or investigation.”

"To its everlasting shame and (one hopes) the abiding disapproval of historians for generations to come, the Biden regime weaponized the justice system against President Donald Trump, and much of the damage has yet to be undone. On Monday, Trump asked the Supreme Court to undo one of the most egregious miscarriages of justice he suffered for the crime of being the leader of the opposition against Old Joe Biden and his leftist henchmen: the civil judgment that he sexually abused the partisan fantasist E. Jean Carroll in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room sometime in the 1990s, and subsequently defamed her in speaking about the case.

"Carroll’s story has more holes than a slice of Swiss cheese that has been used for target practice, but despite failing to produce any evidence to substantiate her claims, she kept winning in court — believe all women, doncha know, even the crazy mendacious ones. But Trump’s team kept on appealing, and who knows? Maybe sanity will finally prevail at the Supreme Court.

"The Associated Press reported Monday that Trump’s lawyers “argued in a lengthy filing with the high court that allegations leading to the $5 million verdict were ‘propped up’ by a ‘series of indefensible evidentiary rulings’ that allowed Carroll’s lawyers to present ‘highly inflammatory propensity evidence’ against him.”

"Indeed they were. Back in Sept. 2024, Trump attorney Will Scharf pointed out quite correctly and in considerable detail that the alleged victim’s story "at its heart is an utterly implausible, he said she said story."  Serious allegations of the kind that Carroll made are supposed to be established on the basis of evidence and witnesses, but Scharf noted that in this case, there was “no corroboration for anything” that Carroll claimed about what went on between her and Trump.

"The fix was in from the beginning: Carroll’s attorneys never produced any “corroborating witnesses” or “confirmatory DNA.” She filed no police report at the time of the supposed incident, and couldn’t even pinpoint when exactly her encounter with Trump was supposed to have happened. “No surveillance evidence or witnesses have ever been found or come forward confirming any aspect of E. Jean Carroll’s story.' " . . . More...

Here’s How To Measure Obamacare’s Failures

  Issues & Insights

"Having Democrats pave the way for Obamacare’s repeal would be a perfect end to Obama’s miserable legacy."

"By shutting down the government for more than a month to protect Obamacare, Democrats may have opened the door to its repeal. That would be a fitting ending to the failure they birthed 15 years ago.

"The Democrats’ entire justification for keeping the government closed was to force an extension of (temporary) enhanced “Affordable Care Act” subsidies added during COVID-mania, which they now claim will create an affordability crisis if allowed to expire.

"The irony might have been lost on Democrats, but President Donald Trump saw an opportunity to target this public policy failure once again, suggesting lawmakers scrap Obamacare’s massive subsidy scheme – which directs billions of dollars to insurance companies –  and give the money directly to people so that, as Trump put it on Truth Social, “THEY CAN PURCHASE THEIR OWN, MUCH BETTER, HEALTHCARE.”

"The fact that this debate is even happening is proof that Obamacare has massively failed to live up to its grand promises.

"After all, when Obama sold his health care reform plan to the public in 2009, he said that “It will provide more security and stability to those who have health insurance. And it will slow the growth of health care costs for our families, our businesses, and our government.”

"He said that “reducing the waste and inefficiency in Medicare and Medicaid will pay for most of this plan,” that “the middle class will realize greater security, not higher taxes,” and that it will “slow the growth of health care costs” and “reduce the deficit by $4 trillion over the long term.”

"None of that turned out to be true. Health care costs didn’t slow. Premiums didn’t go down. Nearly 30 million adults still say health care is difficult to afford or access.

"Annual deficits have exploded since Obamacare became law. Medicare and Medicaid are still rife with waste, fraud, and abuse.

"And while the number of uninsured has gone down, that’s entirely the result of more people becoming dependent on the government for health care. In 2009, just 26% of Americans were on some form of government insurance. By 2023, that number topped 34%." . . . More...

The Gender Totalitarians Are Still with Us

 American Greatness

"The trans craze has spread through social contagion for some time now, and we are still feeling its harmful effects. It will fade eventually, but who knows what the next all-encompassing fad will be? I shudder to think."

. . . "An analysis of campus surveys by Eric Kaufmann from the Center for Heterodox Social Science found that the number of college students identifying as transgender decreased by 50% between 2023 and 2025. On a similar note, psychologist Jean Twenge’s analysis of the annual Cooperative Election Study, conducted by YouGov, found that transgender identification among 18- to 22-year-olds dropped by nearly 50% between 2022 and 2024. She concludes that “it looks like the peak of trans identification is in the past.”

"However, a recently released report from the Society for Evidence-Based Gender Medicine presents a different picture. Using data from the larger National College Health Assessment, the report reveals that transgender and “nonbinary” identification among U.S. college students is at an all-time high—ranging from 4.7% to 6.7%—although it may be leveling off.

"Also, the immensely profitable transgender movement is set to expand, according to Market Research Future. The business consultancy asserts that the “Gender Dysphoria Market Industry” is quite healthy and expected to grow from $13.93 billion in 2025 to $63.53 billion by 2032.

"The reality, as noted by UCLA’s Williams Institute, an LGBTQ advocacy group, is that 99.4% of the population lacks the physical traits that cause someone to become transgender. The 0.6% of the adult population who experience gender dysphoria—a condition that causes significant distress—certainly deserve empathy and respect.

"Additionally, Brown University physician and researcher Lisa Littman published a study in 2018 indicating that “rapid-onset gender dysphoria” in young people might be influenced by social and peer contagion. She emphasizes that nearly 70% of teenagers were part of a peer group where at least one friend identified as transgender.

"Nevertheless, the trans phenomenon persists, and our schools are at the forefront of the fad.

"The Los Angeles Unified School District may be the nation’s leader of the movement. District policy allows children to socially transition their genders at school without informing their parents. They can also use school facilities such as locker rooms and restrooms, and participate in sports that align with their gender identity." . . .
