Tim Walz Turns Against Kamala and Embraces This Candidate

"Many Democrats have attributed Harris’s loss to her selection of Walz as her running mate." I'm sure any one of her TV interviews would have told you all one needed to know. TD

The American Spectator | USA News and Politics

"Harris was interviewed last week by CNN about Walz’s comments, and she said that she was unaware of them. She was, she said, still deciding whether or not to run for president." She is no Lady Thatcher or Golda Meir you know.

"I’ve become friends with school shooters.”

That was a real line uttered by Tim Walz during the 2024 vice presidential debate, which he entirely flubbed. In her book, 107 Days, Kamala Harris went after Walz — hard — for his debate performance. JD Vance, she said, was acting mid-mannered in order to counter Trump’s anger and insults. “When Tim fell for it and started nodding and smiling at JD’s fake bipartisanship,” Harris wrote, “I moaned to Doug, ‘What is happening?’” She continued, “I told the television screen: ‘You’re not there to make friends with the guy who is attacking your running mate.’” (RELATED: Kamala Harris’s Sad Book Tour Will Now Be Longer Than Her Campaign)

"Harris went on to confirm the veracity of the SNL sketch that aired the following weekend showing her (played by Maya Rudolph) watching the debate alongside her husband, Doug Emhoff (played by Andy Samberg), in disappointment and consternation. “While I did not in fact spit out wine, it was otherwise uncanny in its portrait of our evening,” she said.

"Many Democrats have attributed Harris’s loss to her selection of Walz as her running mate. On election night, campaign surrogate Lindy Li told Fox News’ Jacqui Heinrich: “One of the things that are top of mind is the choice of Tim Walz as vice presidential candidate… A lot of people are saying tonight that it should have been Josh Shapiro. Frankly, people have been saying that for months.”

"Harris hasn’t done much to counter that narrative. Further, she wrote in 107 Days that her first choice for a running mate was Pete Buttigieg, but she thought the U.S. was too homophobic to elect a gay man as vice president.

"Buttigieg, she wrote, “would have been an ideal partner — if I were a straight white man…. But we were already asking a lot of America: to accept a woman, a Black woman, a Black woman married to a Jewish man. Part of me wanted to say, Screw it, let’s just do it. But knowing what was at stake, it was too big of a risk.” (RELATED: Meet the Post-Biden Democrats: Biden’s Democrats)

""Many Democrats don’t want Kamala Harris to run for president again. Earlier this month, 20 Democrats told Politico that she is failing to define herself as a politician in the aftermath of her loss. Former South Carolina Gov. Jim Hodges went after her, saying that Democrats want someone who is “fresh, new” and “I hear a lot of talk about that — ‘we don’t need recycled candidates.’” Harris, he said, “seems like more of the same to me.”

""The Wall Street Journal also reported earlier this month that donors “have told [Harris] directly that a bid would be a long shot.”

"'The other week, I described all of this as a “Democrat Campaign to Destroy Kamala Harris.” Now Tim Walz has joined the mix and has turned against his own former running mate. (READ MORE: The Democrat Campaign to Destroy Kamala Harris)" . . . More.

Vivian Silver, 74: Lifelong peace activist who drove Gazans to hospitals

 The Times of Israel

"Canadian-born peace activist Vivian Silver, 74, was killed by Hamas terrorists in her home in Kibbutz Be’eri on October 7.

"For more than a month, she was declared missing, and believed to be captured and held hostage in Gaza. But on November 14, her family confirmed that her remains had finally been identified via DNA.

"One of her sons, Yonatan Zeigen, was on the phone with his mother when gunmen arrived in Be’eri. When he heard gunshots outside her window, he told her to hang up so she could stay quiet, he told the BBC.

"They began to text one other on WhatsApp. He last heard from her around 11 a.m. that Saturday, as Silver hid inside a closet in the house, and told her son that the terrorists were inside the house. She believed that a massacre was happening and told her son that she loved him.

“‘She wrote me, ‘They’re inside the house, it’s time to stop joking and say goodbye.'”

“‘And I wrote back that ‘I love you, Mum. I have no words, I’m with you.'” Vivian responded, “I feel you.”

"That was the last message, Zeigen told the BBC." . . . More.

Student Who Took GREAT PLEASURE Reciting Poem Celebrating Charlie Kirk Murder Suddenly VERY SORRY

Twitchy

. . . "Now she says she hopes to do better "as a Christian" and hopes to get a second chance. Yes, we don't buy it. Look into her eyes—completely lifeless and soulless." . . . The Post Millennial

"UTSA student Isa Casahuga Lemgruber drew intense backlash after reciting a gleeful poem at a campus event that celebrated Charlie Kirk’s assassination as the “Kirkiversary,” including a reference to a “shot to the neck.”

"We made the same face. Keep going.

"Facing widespread outrage and a university conduct review, she released a public apology to Kirk’s family and event host Christian Collins, claiming time for reflection and condemning political violence.

"RIIIIIIGHT.

"After a University of Texas at San Antonio student proudly recited a twisted poem celebrating Charlie Kirk’s assassination, the backlash was swift and unforgiving. Now facing potential consequences, she has issued an apology to his family — but critics are highlighting the apparent disconnect between her original pride and sudden remorse.

"She's not sorry she wrote and read it, she's sorry it bombed in such a horrific and consequence-filled way." . . . More.

UT San Antonio student 'apologizes' after reciting 'Kirkiversary' poem at TPUSA Pick Up the Mic event

Wealthy Prep School Student Faces Backlash Over Mocking Charlie Kirk's Death — WVAL International News and Politics   "The polished veneer of privilege cracked open this week, exposing the family behind the student who mocked Charlie Kirk’s death. Isabela Casahuga Lemgruber, 19, attended St Agnes Academy in Houston, a Roman Catholic all-girls prep school where tuition hits $28,400 annually. The institution, which once proudly announced her admission to the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) as a freshman studying international relations and diplomacy, has since scrubbed that social media post from existence." . . .

Someone Bought the UTSA Student’s Domain Name After She Read a Giddy Poem Celebrating Charlie Kirk’s Murder, Now Anyone Who Googles Her Will Know Who They Are Dealing With

. . . The website states:

She attends the University of Texas at San Antonio (class of 2029) and majors in International Relations and Diplomacy. Isa is from Houston and attended St. Agnes Academy. Her mother is realtor Paula Lemgruber Casahuga. Her father Guillem Casahuga is a partner at Arthur D Little.

Isa is “thrilled” to gloat about conservatives getting murdered.

The website also reprinted the poem in full, along with the video of her reciting it, under the heading “Poem written by Isa Casahuga.”

Speaking to The Gateway Pundit about the incident, TPUSA contributor and close friend of Kirk, Jack Posobiec, said, “It is plain for all to see. The Left wants us dead. I am not using hyperbole; they are openly celebrating murder, violence, and the slaughter of their political opponents.”

"The press will do nearly anything to see Democrats elected, and that almost always includes shading the truth and letting the Democrats lie without challenge and without consequence. Voters need to know. Please spread the word."

"By now it’s obvious that the Democrats and their communications team that is also known as the legacy media are going to use the last month before the midterm elections to push the idea that were in a slump and Republicans need to be thrown out of office because it’s Donald Trump’s economy.

  • On Sept. 26, House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries claimed that “Republican policies have tanked the economy” and the American people are aware of it. “Time for dramatic change,” he added.
  • In July, Jeffries claimed “far too many” Americans “can barely survive” because “people are drowning in this failed Trump economy.”
  • That same month, a USA Today opinion piece declared that Trump “fears accountability” in regard to “affordability” and “looks very much like a man without a plan to improve the economy.”
  • The Atlantic more recently told us that “affordability” is the “new word” that Trump hates.

"Clearly the strategy is working. A few months ago, Axios insisted that Trump is trying “to sell an economy voters aren’t buying.” The Associated Press reported last week that “Most Americans blame Trump for high prices as his economic approval hits new low, AP-NORC poll shows.” Web searches are filled with links to stories about voters turning on Trump due to the economy.

"Yet prices and economic struggles are almost without exception created by Democrats’ tax heavy and regulate hard policies. The air is filled with noxious lies from the left that travel across the country while the truth is smothered.

"The Democratic Party-media complex of course has done this before — in 1992 when Bill Clinton centered his challenge to incumbent President George H.W. Bush on his claim that the economy leading up to the election was the worst “in 50 years.” As we said about three weeks ago, it was true that Bush’s term hit a rough patch that began in July 1990. The recession, though, “ended in March 1991,” according to the National Bureau of Economic Research.

"Please read that again. The downturn ended in March 1991, and the economy began to grow again. Not March 1992. Nor March 1993. The economy was expanding when Clinton was calling it the worst in a half century, and the media merrily went along for the so obviously disingenuous “I feel your pain” ride to the White House.

"The truth this time around shows that during Trump’s second term, with Republicans controlling both chambers of Congress, inflation “has been 2.9%, which is 41% below the 5% average under (Joe) Biden and 55% below the 6.5% average under Biden while Democrats controlled both the House and Senate,” according to Just Facts." . . .   More.

‘Is Paris burning?’ asked Hitler. In 1944, it wasn’t; in 2026, it is.

Andrea Widburg

"In Germany, high school students protesting for better education look very different. Somehow, they all grew beards, shouted 'Allah is great,' and waved the Palestinian flag."

"June 6, 1944, marked the beginning of the end for the Nazi’s dominance across Europe. By August 1944, the Allies were heading to Paris, one of the crown jewels in Hitler’s European conquest. Hitler planned to hold Paris but, failing that, he wanted the Allies to suffer a Pyrrhic victory. To that end, he ordered General Dietrich von Choltitz to leave behind “nothing but a field of ruins.” The Nazis would completely destroy Paris, leaving nothing but scorched earth.

"What Hitler hadn’t counted on was that von Choltitz (according to his own reminiscences) couldn’t make himself follow that final order. As it became clear that an Allied victory was imminent, he reportedly said to his military operations chief, General Alfred Jodl, “Jodl! I demand to know! Yes or no? Is Paris burning now?”

"Well, Paris was not burning then. Whether von Choltitz was the hero he claimed himself to be or the Nazis just didn’t have the time, the men, and the supplies to destroy the historical city is unclear. What’s clear is that the city survived.

"It’s less clear whether the city will survive the current iteration of the Nazis: A fanatical alliance of socialism and antisemitism that is assiduously destroying Paris from the inside out. The barbarians are inside the gates, and the French willingly invited them...and now seem unable to stop them.

"Nor have the fires been limited to Paris. As a general matter, the same modern Nazi forces (the true “Neo-Nazis,” if you will) are systematically using the weekends to destroy Europe’s ancient cities, one by one—and in each case, they do so with relative ease because the nations invited the barbarians and are now afraid to challenge them." . . . And they elected a mayor in New York. . . .

. . . If you’ve still been holding your nose about whether to vote for Republicans in this election, knowing that too many are weak quislings, reframe the issue for yourself: Acting out of pique, do I want to allow the Democrats to render Trump impotent for the last two years of his presidency, potentially paving the way for a President AOC in 2028, or do I want an ascendant Trump* in the White House to protect America from a nuclear Europe with its weapons aimed at us? Do you honestly want this image to sum up the last time we saw Paris?" . . . More.

Kamala Harris Told Democrats Something Shocking About Impeaching Donald Trump That Has Hakeem Jeffries Squirming

I can see Doom Goblin Greta moving to this cause. Why not? TD

Deplorable Daily
"Democrats spent two years promising their base they would impeach Donald Trump the moment they took back the House. Now polls show they are days away from winning a majority in the US House. But Kamala Harris just told Democrats something shocking about impeaching Donald Trump that has Hakeem Jeffries squirming."

. . .  "Remember, I was in the Senate for the last go-around," Harris said. "And the votes aren't there."

"That's the whole game, right there.

"Hakeem Jeffries has spent months dangling impeachment in front of progressive donors and activists to drive turnout and fundraising.

"He refused to take it off the table publicly, telling ABC News his party would be "guided by the Constitution" and "let the chips fall where they may."

"Nancy Pelosi played the same game – saying Trump's own actions would determine whether a third impeachment was warranted.

Neither of them said what Harris just said.

Both Times Democrats Tried, Trump Won

"Trump is already the only president in American history impeached twice.

"The first time – over the Ukraine phone call in 2019 – the Senate acquitted him 48-52 on abuse of power and 47-53 on obstruction.

"The second time – over January 6th – the Senate acquitted him 57-43, even with seven Republican senators voting to convict.

"The Democrats needed 67 votes to remove him." . . . More.

University of Texas Student Reaps the Whirlwind After Reading Depraved ‘Kirkiversary’ Poem at TPUSA Event

"Since the video went viral on X, Casahuga has reaped a whirlwind of scorn and opprobrium, with online sleuths quickly identifying her. Someone even bought the domain for her name, creating a website to serve as a permanent online record of her disgraceful display."  Debra Heine

. . . "Sadly, the celebration of Kirk’s assassination, gruesomely captured on video, is nothing new for leftists.
"Thousands of depraved individuals openly shared their gleeful reactions on social media, arguing that the 31-year-old conservative husband and father somehow deserved it, and mocking Ericka Kirk, his surviving wife. They also expressed support for more political violence against their political opponents.
"It was so bad, that the State Department immediately began revoking the visas of foreign nationals who celebrated Kirk’s assassination." . . .

Kirk anniversary comes as GOP pushes to energize voters    "The one-year anniversary Thursday of the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk comes as Republicans try to galvanize voters ahead of the midterm elections.

"Kirk, 31, the co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed Sept. 10, 2025, during a public event at a university in Utah. On his organization’s website, a memorial to the husband and father appears prominently.

"His widow, Erika Kirk, has led Turning Point USA since last year and is attending the Republican midterm convention in Texas this week.

"President Donald Trump remembered Kirk during a speech in Dallas on Wednesday night. Supporters have credited Kirk and Turning Point USA with helping Trump make gains with younger voters in 2024.

"'Exactly one year ago tomorrow, a far-left extremist assassinated my great friend and conservative voice, Charlie Kirk, because Charlie Kirk spoke the truth,” Trump said.

"In Kirk’s absence, Turning Point USA says it has seen “unprecedented expansion,” with more than 1 million students involved in its programs during the 2025-26 school year."

'Kirkaversary' social media trend sparks fury as sick celebrations of Charlie Kirk's death continue on 1st anniversary

"A self-described Portland, Oregon, tattoo artist shared on social media that they were offering “$50 neck tattoos” with “the exact placement of the kirkhole.'”

“When they took a shot at Charlie, they’re almost taking a shot at the very idea of open debate and free expression,” he said. “This is something that no one on either side is going to stand for. I think what we’ll see is cooler heads prevail and a more positive message break through.”

Ilhan Omar's family history make her genocide allegations against Israel even more outrageous

NY Post

"But with her own family’s bloody history, it takes real chutzpah to join in the “genocide” slurs, e.g. by insisting Jewish students at Columbia University are “pro-genocide” and routinely condemning Israel’s supposed “genocidal” campaign against Palestinians."

"Rep. Ilhan Omar’s apparent lies about her family and finances are bad enough, but nothing is as outrageous as the way she slanders Israel with the “genocide” libel when her own father in all likelihood took part in Somali dictator Siad Barre’s real genocide.

"Omar in her memoir calls her father Nur Omar Mohamed an “educator,” yet it looks like the only educating he did was teaching Barre’s enemies lessons in brutality as a colonel in the Somali Army in the 1980s.

"The Barre regime committed horrific atrocities against the Isaaq clan, killing at least 200,000 and displacing another 900,000 in a massive ethnic cleansing.

"The United Nations, Human Rights Watch, the International Crisis Group and virtually every other authority agrees that the campaign against the Isaaq was genocidal in intent and in practice: Government forces strafed fleeing civilians, planted land mines at wells and systematically raped girls and women.

"There can be little doubt that Omar’s dad was involved in the genocide. As historian and Oxford University doctoral researcher Mohamed Haji Ingiriis told The Post, “Nur Said was a military officer who was loyal to the regime until the end. He was part and parcel of those who caused and created the mayhem they ‘fled’ to live comfortably in the United States.”

"Nur Said and his family escaped Somalia as “refugees” following the collapse of Barre’s dictatorship, gaining asylum in the United States in 1995 — improperly, it seems, as war criminals are not entitled to refugee protections." . . . More.

FORTRESS America: Better late than never

"We should have implemented something like this decades ago."

American Thinker

"Under FORTRESS, every major military installation in the continental U.S. must be capable of operating off grid for at least 90 days without relying on outside municipal water, fuel, civilian power networks, or supply chains."

"Recently, the Department of Defense (DoD) announced the launch of the FORTRESS initiative.  The goal of this ambitious program is to address concerns that a major war, EMP, or cyber-attack could disable the U.S.’s civilian infrastructure and disrupt global supply chains.

The military loves acronyms: FORTRESS stands for “Federal Operations for Resilience, Troop Resources, Energy, Supply, and Survivability.”  Survivability?

Yes, survivability.  The Pentagon developed FORTRESS to treat infrastructure resilience as a direct component of military readiness.  Sounds reasonable, but why now?

Several issues, none of them new, initiated DoD action on FORTRESS.

The Loss of “Oceanic Protection”

In the past, we’ve always assumed that the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans insulated us from foreign threats.  Sure, there was Venezuela, but President Trump took care of that, and Cuba, well...

The Pentagon finally realized that this assumption was outdated.  They cite long-range precision weaponry that can traverse oceans, global cyber-networks that disrupt the grid, and gray-zone warfare just short of the line that triggers a conventional war.  Also, there are numerous domestic threats, including myriad cells of foreign agents that came in during the presidency of Joe Biden (or at least his handlers).

“Power Is Combat Now”

This quote, attributed to Pentagon official Sean Parnell, emphasizes how much the military currently depends on civilian-controlled electrical grids and power generation.  Without electrical power, critical defense capabilities like communications and logistics collapse.  An enemy only has to disable the civilian grid to cripple command structures and troop mobilization, not to mention the production of military hardware.  The military aims to make every base energy self-sufficient.

Can the West Be Saved? ‘Strange Death of Europe’ Author Douglas Murray Says It’s Not Too Late.

 PJ Media

Gove asked Murray why so many of the rioters in France were either wearing the keffiyeh or waving the Palestinian flag, which, he said, is more prominent than the Union Jack in some parts of Britain.

. . . "Schueftan takes no comfort in that negative contrast with America, for if there’s one thing he fears more than the destruction of Israel, it’s the decline of America. He warned Anderson, “If America becomes what the Democratic Party is today, my concern about the existence of Israel is the smallest of my concerns, because freedom in the world is over. Yeah. If the Americans become progressives, the world will be dominated by people who will destroy freedom in the world.”

"Another person who worries about the future of America and the West is columnist Douglas Murray, whose book The Strange Death of Europe came out in 2017. Michael Gove of The Spectator interviewed Murray this week, and their discussion focused on whether Western civilization can still be saved. In contrast to an Israel that is willing, even eager, to defend itself, Murray described a European continent that is basically committing suicide.

"One piece of evidence for that is the declining birth rate in European countries, which are not reproducing at replacement level. But Murray pointed out that Japan also has a low birth rate but doesn’t have open borders and hasn’t “welcomed in unassimilable levels of migration.” He blamed the UK’s migrant problem on politicians’ ineptitude and short-term thinking, noting that he first heard that there were at least a million illegal immigrants in the UK 15 years ago, yet only a few hundred have been removed since then. Instead, the government escorts them in, as Murray described:

Essentially everybody knows, as with the small boats crisis on the south coast, with people coming from France illegally every day, that nothing is done to stop them. On the contrary, the British authorities act as part of the smuggling gangs. Our own government’s boats go out and meet a small dinghy, or a quite large boat sent by a smuggling gang, a little way off the coast of France, and then carefully escort the relevant men, and they’re almost always young men, into the UK. The reason they come is that they know they’ll stay, and they do stay." . . .

Russia Collusion Hoaxer Marc Elias Tied To Alaska Ballot Scandal

"The Democrat attack dog’s law firm represents Mary Peltola’s campaign, accused in the ‘Decoy Dan’ ballot scheme to confuse voters."

The Federalist

"Before The New York Times piece dropped, Elias told MS Now hack and former Biden White House press secretary Jen Psaki that Trump is “trying to decide who wins elections” in Alaska."

"The only thing that should be surprising about The New York Times’ bombshell report on the Democrats’ “Decoy Dan” scheme is that the Dem-friendly newspaper a) reported on it and b) actually published it.

"Republicans — particularly the campaign of Alaska Sen. Dan S. Sullivan — have for months been telling everyone — that Dan J. Sullivan was a ballot plant compliments of Rep. Mary Peltola, the Democrat opponent of the incumbent Sullivan.

"The New York Times piece claims Peltola wasn’t directly involved in the effort to recruit a same-name candidate to draw votes from her main opponent, but she was “definitely aware.” Her campaign, according to the story, was very much involved in dealing with a slimy Democratic Party operative who apparently played point man in the scheme and a powerful cadre of national Democrats behind it.

"The players, according to The Times, included the law firm led by perhaps the slipperiest of snakes in the leftist lawfare movement — the man at the center of the Russia collusion hoax.

"Marc Elias, who peddled the infamous Steele Dossier in the hoax, again stands in the shadows of another scandal, with one of his law firm’s attorneys named in The New York Times piece. That attorney and the firm could soon be under congressional investigation." . . .
