"Every Tuesday, the Council nominates some of the slimiest, most despicable characters in public life for some deed of evil, cowardice or corruption they’ve performed. Then we vote to single out one particular Weasel for special mention, to whom we award the statuette of shame, our special, 100% plastic Golden Weasel. This week’s nominees were all despicable, but the votes are in and we have our winner…the envelope please…
"VA Right: I am going to nominate Joshua Williams who had become the poster boy for advocating peaceful protests in Ferguson, Mo and was caught torching a Berkeley convenience store last week. So much for peaceful protests.
"On Oct. 13, he was photographed walking arm-in-arm with author and activist Cornell West toward the St. Louis University campus where protesters staged a sit-in.
"Ah well…we all know by now that most of these protests are really just an excuse to act out. And nothing says social justice like looting, attacking people or setting someone else’s property on fire and destroying their livelihood, right? I mean, you care’s how much sweat and hard earned money someone put into that small business or the paychecks the people who worked there won’t be getting?
"Joshua Williams is down for the struggle, y’all. And definitely worthy of the Golden Weasel.
"Well, there it is."
Joshua Williams was the liberal-media darling of the Ferguson protests; now he’s an alleged arsonist.
