New York, what did you see in this guy when you elected him?

We get the government we deserve.
Thousands of Protesters March on the Home of NYC Mayor de Blasio, Demand He Resign For How He’s Handled the City

"It was actually even larger than that would appear, it reportedly stretched for 19 blocks.
"They reached the home and demanded he go.
. . .
"It’s true, everyone of every stripe hates de Blasio.
"Some wags joked the thousands of protesters were just there to pick up Chiara de Blasio, who had been arrested during a protest a couple of nights ago.
"Folks on the left are angry about him imposing a curfew, folks on the right and in the center see the city dissolving into chaos, and de Blasio doing nothing. He has refused to call in the National Guard which has. infuriated people." . . .
"Everyone is angry that he outlawed legitimate protest yet is letting rioters run loose.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo has even postulated trying to remove him as mayor.
"Meanwhile as we previously reported police are furious at him. They have hated him for years for not supporting them and now they feel it worse than ever, as they are being attacked in the streets and he does nothing.
"The protest is still at his doors and have been trying to breach the gates for some time. Reports were that the “protesters” were close to breaching the gates at Gracie Mansion." . . .

Bumfight: As New York burns, Cuomo blasts de Blasio, de Blasio blasts Cuomo
. . . "De Blasio has literally lost control, and clearly has no idea what he is doing. Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani has pointed out that he's "interfering" in the force of law rather than just standing by and pretending nothing is happening. He was last seen praising his bizarre-looking daughter for getting arrested with a group of people who were throwing projectiles at the police, providing that special cover for thugs of being 'protestors.' His heart is with the criminals. His incompetence is so vivid the "protestors" are now marching on his residence, confident they've got a weaking cornered." . . .
NYPD Union Writes Explosive Open Letter to Officers Under Siege: “We Have No Leadership, No Direction, and No Plan”  "So far, 2020 has been a raucous year for New York City’s police officers. First, they were tasked to be part of the frontline war against COVID-19, but as an NYPD union was quick to point out in April, Mayor Bill de Blasio’s own actions likely made the city the virus’ epicenter. Then in mid-May, when New York was still in the thick of trying to bend the curve, police had to deal with a shortage of PPE for their officers — along with a Health Commissioner who allegedly couldn’t care less about their safety."
. . .
"On Sunday, in another sign that the relationship between the union and De Blasio is fractured, what appeared to be the arrest records of Chiara de Blasio, de Blasio’s daughter, were included in a tweet from their account. The tweet has since been removed or deleted. Ms. De Blasio, according to a NY Post report, was arrested at a Manhattan protest Saturday, Newsweek reported.
"Now, the president of that union, the NYPD (New York Police Department) Sergeants Benevolent Association, has released a searing, open letter, speaking directly to his fellow officers, who feel abandoned by the city’s leadership during the mayhem and protests following the murder of George Floyd after being pinned down by a Minneapolis police officer.
