Both lawmakers had their hands behind their backs, giving casual readers the impression that both were handcuffed and being escorted by police. 

But that didn’t stop AOC and her staff from trumpeting the arrest as though she were heading to Gitmo. Her response to people noting her pretending to be in handcuffs? She claimed it was a Republican conspiracy theory."
