Biden will refer to Tim Scott as a white supremacist in three...two...one...
. . ."Scott’s interesting and impressive background and career are reasonably and fairly objectively documented at his Wikipedia bio. The lengthy page and the references it cites are a compelling read. My impression of Scott over the years, confirmed by the chronology and highlights of his career, is that he is a man of deep conviction who is extremely articulate in expressing his conservative viewpoint.

Needless to say, he received a cordial reception from his former Republican colleague in the Congress, Trey Gowdy, who was guest hosting the hour on FOX for the first of five nights from New York City. On Sunday nights for the past year, Gowdy has hosted Sunday Night in America from Charleston, S.C., on FOX at 7 PM ET, sometimes repeated later in the evening.
"Gowdy, an attorney and former prosecutor, is a skillful interviewer, and the transcript of his conversation with Scott, provided by FOX News, is an interesting read. Observations from Sen. Tim Scott’s presidential candidacy announcement UPDATED -Andrea Widberg . . ."Scott’s values are conservative. He’s deeply religious, and he believes in a post-racial America. He says that all able-bodied people should work, that we need a strong border, that the economy must be unchained, that we need to unleash America’s ability to produce energy, that our military must be the strongest in the world, that the police matter (especially in poor communities beset by crime), and that our children should be educated not indoctrinated. The only hot conservative issue that he didn’t touch upon was transgenderism, although I felt that fell under the “educated, not indoctrinated” rubric.". . .
. . ."On the left-leaning talk show, "The View" host Whoopi Goldberg suggested Scott has "Clarence Thomas syndrome." Thomas, a conservative U.S. Supreme Court justice from neighboring Georgia, has long been attacked by the left for not toeing what they believe is the proper jurisprudential line based on his skin color.
"Goldberg's co-host Sunny Hostin further claimed one of Scott's "issues" is that he believes because he "made it" coming from an impoverished Black family in the South, "everyone can make it.' " . . .
