Our Rashida Tlaib foreign policy; Can Israel ever forgive us?

In 1940 during the Blitz, Winston Churchill's big fear was Germany dominating England and establishing a pro-German government. That happened with Quisling in Norway, and Laval and Petain in France. Now Israel is faced with a pro-Hamas "ally": the United States in the person of Joe Biden, the Democrat Party, and its host of pro-Islamic members such as Rashida Tlaib, AOC, Pramila Jayapal, Ilhan Omar, and enough others to make a considerable anti-Israel faction in Congress. A faction that has brought Joe Biden to heel and caused that feckless man to desert a faithful American friend and ally for decades; an ally surrounded on all sides by people who hate Israel simply because they are Israel. We must place our trust in the hands of the Living God, the Founder of Israel and the Healer of the Valley of Dry Bones who has restored Israel to the land He gave them thousands of years ago. As with Gideon so long ago, God stripped them of all their strength so all that region would know that God alone was their deliverer. The Tunnel Dweller

What makes our "abstaining" so pathetic is that Israel is defending itself.  They were attacked on October 7th.  Young women were raped at a music festival.  Families were shot at their homes.  How is Israel going to negotiate with people like that?

"Over at the United Nations, the U.S. showed the world that President Biden is weak.

"We abstained from a UN vote and threw Israel under the bus because too many voters in Michigan voted uncommitted in the primary.

"What a travesty.

"Here is the story:

The Biden administration declined to veto a United Nations Security Council resolution on Monday that aims to limit Israel’s ability to win its war against Hamas. Washington’s action is short-sighted and counterproductive.

The resolution calls for a “ceasefire” in Gaza. Four members of the U.N. Security Council voted in favor of the resolution, while the United States abstained. Israel responded by scrapping plans to send a delegation to Washington. This was the fourth attempt in recent days to pass the resolution, with members of the Security Council haggling over its language.
 "Counterproductive?

"How about stabbing a friend in the back?  Shame on the Biden administration or whoever is writing all of these speeches that the president reads." . . .

. . ."According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, “Hamas’ stance demonstrates they’re not interested in continuing the negotiation and deal-making process. This is a regrettable testament to the damages caused by the UN Security Council’s decision.”

“ 'Hamas once again rejected any compromise offer from the Americans and reiterated its extreme demands: an immediate end to the war, a complete withdrawal of the IDF from the Gaza Strip and leaving its governance capabilities in place to enable it to repeat the massacre of October 7, as promised.”

“ 'Israel will not yield to Hamas’ outrageous demands and will continue to strive for all the war’s objectives: releasing all hostages, destroying Hamas’ military and ruling capabilities and ensuring Gaza will no longer pose a threat to Israel.” . . .

BREAKING: US Abstains As UN Security Council Passes Demand for Gaza Cease-Fire; UPDATE: Gallant Rejects – HotAir   "Oh my. Joe Biden picked this fight, and now he's going to get it -- no matter how useless this UN Security Council resolution actually is. And typically for Biden and Antony Blinken, they blundered their way into the hands of Russia and China." . . .

Democrats and their tool Biden have turned our once great nation into the Vichy French of WW2, aligning us against our former friends and allies. TD

Douglas Murray Roasts Biden & David Cameron Israel Criticism - And A Purim Message!! (youtube.com) Comment to this video: "I hope it is of some comfort that many people in the UK loathe Sunak and Cameron, and are pro-Israel. Our voice is somewhat smothered by the woke media. You have much support amongst Christians here. Happy Purim, and may the Lord bless you all. "

Hamas has already stated – and in this, at least, one can’t fault the group for its honesty – that it is committed to repeating October 7-style massacres as soon as it gets another chance. As its spokesman Abu Obeida has stated, Hamas intends to make Israel “taste new ways of death”. The international community has clearly shown that it is happy to let Hamas have the opportunity, because the immediate ceasefire in the UN resolution is intended to be followed by “a lasting sustainable ceasefire”, in which Hamas would surely survive.
