Zelensky’s Terrible, Horrible, Very Bad, No Good Day

The president and vice president’s conduct reaffirmed a critical truth: “American dignity is not up for negotiation, and neither is peace.”  Michael A. Milton

Zelensky’s Terrible, Horrible, Very Bad, No Good Day
. . ."Here’s my take: A clear-eyed, masterful negotiator looked at the field, came up with what he believes is the best available deal for his client (us) and the world and a posturing midget egged on by arrogant armchair warriors failed to grab it. Instead,  Zelensky used this opportunity to insult his strongest benefactor and seems stunned to learn that was a stupid move. If this administration had a coat of arms, it would be encircled by a motto reading “FAFO.' ”

"Politically, Zelenskyy chose the wrong, the losing, side."

. . ."The Democrats created the current mess. They blame Trump when they know they laid the groundwork for the country’s demise under Zelenskyy. They used Zelenskyy as a prop during the campaign, and now, J.D. Vance is holding them accountable. Of course, Democrats don’t want to talk about this kind of “foreign interference” in American political campaigns. Vance has done so. At the very least, Zelenskyy should have apologized for his partisan campaigning against the Trump/Vance ticket." . . .

Zelenskyy’s Misstep: Undermining Diplomacy in a Sacred American Place

"Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy broke one of the cardinal rules of diplomacy today: Never introduce a surprise in a high-stakes meeting. This principle is sacrosanct among leaders, particularly when navigating complex international relationships. Yet, Zelenskyy employed a risky gambit, attempting to leverage media influence to strengthen his negotiating position with the nation that has already provided his country with $183 billion in aid." . . .
