Joy Reid’s Race-Baiting Rants: A Fool’s Errand in the Age of Woke Backlash Listen to Joy here... "In a recent video (ABOVE) from conservative commentator Mark Dice, titled “Joy Reid is Even More Upset Than Usual Because of,” the former MSNBC host is caught in yet another tirade that exemplifies her obsession with race and history. Reid, now relegated to podcasts after her prime-time show’s cancellation earlier this year, lambasts the Trump administration’s efforts to overhaul Smithsonian exhibits by removing what she calls “wokeness” and emphasizing positive American achievements. She accuses conservatives of trying to “clean up” history by erasing mentions of slavery, claiming, “They can’t fix the history they did. Their ancestors made this country into a slave hell, but they can clean it up now because they got the Smithsonian. They can get rid of all the slavery stuff.” But Reid doesn’t stop there; she dives into outright racial essentialism, asserting that “We black folk gave y’all country music, hip-hop, R&B, jazz, rock and roll. They couldn’t even invent that. But they have to call a white man the king because they couldn’t make rock and roll.” Even more bizarrely, she links modern technology like Morse code, telephones, and computers to African drum rhythms, declaring, “They took that same pulsation and rhythm and now they call it a computer, which is nothing but African drum.”
Honestly, I'm shocked that Joy Reid said this in front of the world. The most racist, insufferable rant ever. Yet, there is no real backlash.
