. . . "Not the left. They embraced Hamas from day one of the pogrom against the Jews. When clear evidence of mass rape, murder, torture, theft, and kidnapping became indisputable, the left never abandoned their new heroes. They wore their keffiyehs and demanded their goals: the death of Jews and the destruction of the state of Israel." . . .
"There was a time long ago when the Democrats found their heroes in people who were at least on the surface somewhat inspiring: JFK, RFK (Sr.), Martin Luther King and others were at least in their public personae people of hope and positive approach to life. That has gone. For quite some time now, the left/Democrats have thrown their lot with human garbage. The question is why.
"I started to notice that the Democrats turned losers into heroes with the story of Michael Brown in 2014. Brown was a small-time criminal in Ferguson, Missouri. The actual events on the day he died seem to be as follows: he went to a store where he was recorded on camera stealing a box of cigars. When confronted by police who found him and a friend walking down the middle of the street and interfering with traffic, he attacked an officer and tried to take his gun. After he ran away from the squad car, he charged at the officer who went after him. The officer shot Brown dead. The multiple autopsies disappointed the left when the “Hands up, don’t shoot” narrative died with the bullets having entered the criminal’s front as he faced the policeman whom he charged.
"So you have a criminal who was involved in criminal activity. No, he did not kill a dozen people or walk off with the Mona Lisa. But he was a criminal and the police—the same police on whom we rely for order in our society—came to deal with him. He tried to take a policeman’s gun and he turned to attack the policeman for a second time when neutralized. Though the aggressive federal investigation into the actions of the cop could not find that he did anything wrong, the policeman had to change his name and move away from his home in Ferguson.
"Why would the left tie their wagon to such a horrible horse? The fellow had little redeeming in his life and the only factor that they could try to hang on to was police brutality. The autopsy and multiple state and federal investigations showed that the cops did no wrong. That should have been the end of it with everyone praising the cops. But the left had bought into the story and could not give it up. Their hero was a local criminal when the real hero should have been the cop who stopped him." . . .
