How the Russia Hoax Nearly Started World War III

 I. Introduction In the aftermath of the 2016 U.S. Presidential election. . .

. . ."a dangerous and unprecedented narrative was born: that Russia had not only interfered in the election, but had installed Donald Trump as a puppet president. This narrative—originating from a Clinton-funded dossier and propagated by partisan officials and media allies—unfolded into a geopolitical accusation with the potential to spark war. This document outlines the timeline, the players, and the parallels to global conflicts past, especially the lead-up to World War I.

II. The Dossier and Its Origins

"The Steele dossier was opposition research paid for by the Clinton campaign via law firm Perkins Coie and Fusion GPS."It contained unverifiable and salacious claims, many sourced from dubious or anonymous figures. The FBI, under Director James Comey, used the dossier to obtain FISA warrants against Trump campaign associates, despite knowing it was uncorroborated.

III. Accusing a Nuclear Superpower

"The narrative evolved from interference to collusion to control—asserting that Vladimir Putin had helped elect Trump. The January 6, 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) claimed Putin favored Trump and interfered to help him win. Evidence now suggests that this ICA was politically pressured and revised after President Obama directed changes in December 2016.

IV. Russia’s Perspective From Russia’s viewpoint:

"They were accused of conducting an act tantamount to war: subverting a nuclear-armed democracy.Sanctions followed, along with NATO troop movements and international condemnation. They were provoked, humiliated, and cornered, yet did not retaliate militarily.

V. A False Flag of Global Proportions

"Russia never introduced the Steele dossier. No credible evidence has ever shown coordination between Trump and the Kremlin. The U.S. intelligence community was used as a political weapon, eroding trust domestically and internationally.

VI. Parallels to World War I

"In 1914, miscommunication, alliances, and accusations spiraled into global war.  A localized assassination became the predicate for mass mobilization and mutual destruction.  In 2016–2017, the U.S. accused a superpower of subverting democracy—without proof—and prepared for diplomatic and economic retaliation. One wrong move by either side could have escalated into armed conflict.

VII. Trump’s Role: De-escalation Amid Smears

"While under constant investigation and media attack, Trump: Avoided new wars
Initiated diplomacy with Russia and North Korea;  Demanded NATO accountability;  Focused on energy independence to weaken Russia’s leverage

VIII. Postmodernism as the Enabler
"Postmodern ideology denies objective truth and treats narratives as tools of power.  This environment allowed a lie to be treated as reality, pushed by media, intelligence figures, and political elites. "The dossier didn’t need to be true—it only needed to be believed."
