In New Orleans the police started a program where business owners could put facial recognition cameras on their buildings and share the feeds with police. They used the data to round up violent repeat offenders.

The results: - lowest murder rates since the 70s - carjackings down 40% - gun violence in hot spots down 80% - known gang members effectively cordoned out of downtown areas
