Gavin Newsom Mocked for Cringe ‘Happy Kwanzaa’ Video Message

 Legal Insurrection

“May the seven principles of Kwanzaa, in particular community, purpose, and unity, guide our way toward a better future.”

"Just a couple of weeks before Christmas, I took a trip to the post office to buy some stamps for the greeting cards I needed to send out.

"Naturally, I wanted to get stamps that were Christmas-themed, but they didn’t have any left. I asked if I could get a couple of books of the standard “forever” stamps, but all they had in those were the large rolls.

"The options they had in book form were SpongeBob Squarepants stamps, Kwanzaa stamps, and stamps commemorating the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Marine Corps.

"I’m not a fan of SpongeBob Squarepants, and the Kwanzaa stamps were out of the question based on what I know about the non-religious seven-day “holiday,” so I ended up getting the Marine Corps anniversary stamps.

"The Federalist’s 2020 write-up detailing the holiday’s origins is worth referencing when one considers what the leftist media typically leaves out when trying to explain it to people who are curious about the term:

The “holiday” was created in 1966 by Ron Karenga, who renamed himself Maulana. Karenga, the founder of the United Slaves, a violent rival organization to the Black Panthers, created the holiday for black Americans and derived the name “Kwanzaa” from the Swahili phrase “matunda y kwanza,” meaning “first fruits of the harvest.” That’s about the extent of the deep African roots the official Kwanzaa website claims.
