One said, "These news anchors are nothing without their scripted teleprompter." A second added, "Dude is terrible without a teleprompter telling him what to say, or wasted. Maybe both." Many other viewers also admitted Jake's heightened reaction may have been due to the severity and surprise of the situation.

“'Good luck to ‘Little D’ tonight at the WHCD dinner,” Newsom’s team said in all caps, attributing the statement to “Governor GCN”. “Glad he is finally seeing a ‘mentalist.’ Long overdue!” . . .
