"Minneapolis officials were desperate to stop the city from burning down to the ground. Dems were turning Floyd into a global political symbol and cashing in on it like never before. Corporate America had also placed its bets on Saint Floyd."
"The death of George Floyd became such an absurd political commandment.
"Within minutes, the media had settled on its cast of characters. They had their martyr, its villain, supporting cast of bad guys, and a well-crafted version of events that Americans were expected to accept without any question whatsoever. And thanks to this media and leftwing narrative, cities burned to the ground, shameless politicians, city officials, and Hollywood celebs took a knee, US corporations flooded the racial-victimhood industry with billions of dollars, and Derek Chauvin was declared a cold-blooded murderer way before the jury ever walked into the courtroom.
"It was an absolutely insane circus, with this dangerous edge that no one could stop.
"But one thing we can say with complete sincerity is this… we never believed justice was served.
"We believe Chauvin became the patsy in a political free-for-all that had no room for reasonable doubt, medical complexity, police training, or evidence that might interfere with the narrative that was racing around the world, like an Olympic gold-medal runner.
"Yes, the photos looked horrible. But a disturbing picture shouldn’t be used in place of medical records, a fair examination of police procedure, or an honest trial. But it was, and Chauvin and his fellow officers never stood a chance against a mouth-foaming mob.
"But the evidence was never as “clean” as the media pretended it was.
"The official Hennepin County autopsy ruled Floyd’s death a homicide and listed the cause as cardiopulmonary arrest. Chauvin didn’t murder him. In addition, that same report also listed arteriosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease, fentanyl intoxication, and recent methamphetamine use as significant conditions that led to this death. The medical examiner also made clear that classifying a death as a “homicide” is a medical determination, not a legal finding of criminal guilt.
"Again, the autopsy didn’t declare that Chauvin murdered Floyd, quite the opposite, actually." . . .More...
How we know Americans will have to pay reparations: When our national leaders kneel for George Floyd out of fear that the supporters of Maxine Waters, Jasmine Crockett, Al Green, and many other Democrats will burn our cities down.
How did that work out? Humiliating contrition did not work; will reparations suffice? Never enough for the scowling activists and the likes of present and former MSNBC commentators. TD
