Posts of this sort hopes to counter the keffiyeh-clad uneducated ones on the streets and campuses of the West. "The Palestinians' use of children as weapons of war is why I refuse to support Palestinian statehood. By comparison: even during the darkest hours of WW II the Russians, i.e. Stalin, spent tens of thousands of soldiers to evacuate children from the fighting zones to bring them to safety. When Stalin sets a moral example for the Palestinians to follow, we know they have not yet attained the basic moral attributes for a modern state. In fact, there is no precedent in human history for such behavior; even the Nazis didn't use children as human shields but evacuated as many as they could into the countryside. The Palestinians have achieved a new low in the conduct of war."
