VDH: Trump Isn’t Negotiating—He’s Crushing Iran’s Regime

Victor Davis Hanson - The Daily Signal

"Yeah, exactly. We’re not. It’s nothing the same. Obama was rearming an ascendant Iran that was scary and indomitable, so people thought. We are dealing with a prostrate, weakened, and feeble corpse of Iran. And we’re dictating. We’re not negotiating, we’re dictating to it."

. . . "Yeah. And [Tim Walz] goes over there, and he’s one of the keynotes. Now he’s being hosted by this anti-American government that’s utterly corrupt and stolen money and is very unpopular and knows the next election it has, it’ll be thrown out. But it has just denied the United States, at a time of war, the use of its airspace and its joint NATO base, in large part paid for by the United States.

"And he gets up in front of this foreign audience at a time when Americans are risking their lives in their Gulf, and he says that this is a fascistic agenda enterprise. This is fascism. What we’re doing is fascism." . . .

Maria Bartiromo Unloads on Far-Left Rep. Ro Khanna for Absurd Claim Obama 'Delivered' on Iran: 'He Sent Pallets of Cash!'

America's allies and other nations must love it when today's democrats replace Republicans in our government. Surely nations must be in awe at the silliness - yes, I mean silliness - of those who likely then represent our nation. We can only hope this silliness does not pervade the culture of conservatives. The Tunnel Dweller

The Gateway Pundit

"Saudi Prince Mohammad bin Salman recently revealed that President Obama gave Iran $150 billion while he was in office, and the regime did not even build a single street with that money."

"Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo embarrassed Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and his absurd claim that Barack Obama ‘delivered’ on Iran.

"Bartiromo asked Khanna, “Are you suggesting that Obama’s leadership on Iran was better?”

“ 'Because under President Obama, there were 14 wire transfers to a— hold on, hold on. There were 14 wire transfers to a Swiss account linked to Hezbollah between 2014 and 2016. That was a total of $1.7 billion.”

“ 'This was after he left office. So, you know, he— it was almost like a shadow government. He also sent pallets of cash in a plane to Iran.”

“ 'Now, why would you send money to Iran knowing that they are building a nuclear weapon and they are the leading sponsor of terrorism?”

"Unable to dispute a single example of Obama’s support of the brutal Iranian regime,  Khanna replied, “Barack Obama was a great statesman who left America much safer. I wouldn’t put Donald Trump in the same paragraph.” . . .

The Perils of a Grand Bargain with Iran

 American Greatness

Talk of a “grand bargain” with Iran revives a failed playbook of concessions and deception that history shows only strengthens Tehran’s regime.

"Both the president and vice president have thrown out the term “grand bargain” in recent days to describe their aspirations for a deal with the Iranian rump regime.

"It’s a term fraught with past failures that screams Iranian deception, not the interests of America First.

"Bill Clinton was the first to use the phrase toward the end of his second term to describe his aspiration to end a low-intensity conflict that had been simmering for 20 years.

"He appointed David R. Andrews as “Special Negotiator” for the mostly secret talks. Just as today, among the top Iranian demands was for the US to lift economic sanctions, which at the time included a total US trade embargo, secondary sanctions on foreign oil and gas companies investing in Iran, and the release of Iranian funds held by the US Treasury.

"Those Treasury funds were a carefully kept secret. At the time, I was engaged as a consultant to attorneys representing Stephen Flatow, whose daughter Elyssa had been murdered by Iranian-backed terrorists in Israel in 1996.

"We queried the Treasury Department about the existence of Iranian funds frozen since the 1979 revolution to pay for the Shah’s weapons purchases from the US, and were told such a fund did not exist.

"And then, lo and behold, in late 2000, the Justice Department found that the Treasury had simply destroyed all the documents. Clinton eventually released the funds—not to the Iranians, for the talks had by then collapsed—but to the Iranian regime’s US victims.

"Obama later claimed he was releasing the same frozen funds when he sent pallets of cash totaling $1.7 billion to Iran in 2016. And yes, those payments were another attempt at reaching a “grand bargain” with Iran." . . .

. . . "Such a deal must include ironclad guarantees for the Iranian people that the regime will not use violence against peaceful protestors and, if it does, that it will face US military reprisals. After all, Donald Trump is leaving office in January 2029, and we will never have another president like him. We don’t want to have to repeat this war in another 10 years." . . .

Because if Democrats win, relations with terrorist states will be run by the same airheads dealing with them the past few decades, giving preference to those who call for death to allies that have stood by our nation for generations. Israel has been forced to dominate her enemies since we keep replacing competent leaders with feckless Democrats like Biden, Kamala, Obama, and anybody you may see refusing to stand at any Republican SOTU.  TD

Woke pope becomes a joke and gives the Babylon Bee a field day

 Monica Showalter - American Thinker

Pope Condemns Allied Forces For Not Just Talking It Out With Nazis | Babylon Bee

. . . "We must not stoop to violence against Nazis," said Pope Leo in a general address. "When the Nazis loaded millions of people into gas chambers, that was the time for sincere dialogue. If only the Allied Powers had laid down their weapons and just hugged it out with Nazis, peace could have returned once more." . . .

"Following his meeting with Obama strategist David Axelrod, Pope Leo XIV came out with some of his wokest, most indistinguishable-from-Democratic Party platform statements ever -- all within a day of the encounter.

"Which gave whiplash to many Catholics, whose churchgoing members tend to skew conservative, with the younger, more energetic ones, including many converts, leaning traditional.

"The pope condemned all wars in full pacificism, scrapping the Church's thousand-year-old 'just war' doctrine, urged global income redistribution, moved closer to Pope Francis's call for a universal basic income, called on 'those involved' to contact their local leaders to urge peace, claimed the military action was motivated by business, and said the solution to all conflicts to be addressed through "dialogue."

"All of the calls were extreme, and in extremity, absurd. After all, is he really telling Iran's battered citizens being machine-gunned in the streets by Iranian government goons to get their local mullahs on the phone and tell them to stop waging war?

"That gave the satirical site, the Babylon Bee, which is an equal-opportunity humor outfit, plenty to work with. They put out these tweets: . . .

. . . "The remarks from the pope were intensely distressing to Catholics, including myself, who are familiar with traditional Church teaching on just war theory, as well as current Democrat party partisan talking points, while also having no desire to loathe Pope Leo. That the Bee could see the contradictions and make humor out of them was a terrific way to deal with this intractable situation. Humor is the best medicine, so good for the Bee!"

Omar Demands Trump’s Removal While Iran Watches: “Invoke the 25th Amendment. Impeach. Remove” –

MSNOW and Democrats will use this news around the clock. TD

The Federalist Papers

"Think about the timing. Iran’s government is watching every signal coming out of Washington right now. Every crack in American resolve is an asset to them. And Omar handed them one — gift-wrapped."

  • Omar called the sitting president an “unhinged lunatic” — while U.S. forces are in an active standoff with Iran.
  • She was removed from the House Foreign Affairs Committee for antisemitism — and still lectures on who’s fit to conduct foreign policy.
  • Omar opposed the Soleimani strike. Opposed maximum pressure. Opposed the Iran Deal withdrawal. The pattern is 100%.
  • A bipartisan House vote stripped her from the committee that oversees Iran policy.
  • Tehran noticed. They always do.

"There’s a pattern here. It isn’t subtle.

"Every time Trump exercises American power against Iran — maximum pressure sanctions, the Soleimani strike, the current confrontation — the same Democrats line up to undermine him. Not after the fact. Not in quiet dissent. Publicly, loudly, at the exact moment adversaries are watching most closely.

"Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) delivered the latest installment Monday, calling the sitting president an “unhinged lunatic” and demanding his removal from office while the United States is in an active standoff with Tehran." . .More...

America and Israel in the Just War Against the Iranian Mullahcracy

. . . "I am not a military expert. I am not even a counterintelligence agent. I do not have the knowledge base to choose sides on this burning issue.

My gut tells me that President Trump has absolutely got to win this war--the one that Iran started 47 years ago. It is a Just War. It is not an "aggressive" war any more than Israel's war was against Hamas. These are both wars of self-defense.

Negotiations did not and will not work--not with fundamentalist fanatics who want to control the entire world and convert all its inhabitants to Islam. Appeasement (Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden) only delays the cost and the pain of fighting back, a cost that will only increase with time.

My gut tells me that Israel and the Jews may be fighting an existential war for their survival forever. The Jews always have. Yes, we've had merciful pauses, but no more than that. My gut tells me that radical political Islam must absolutely be defeated or the world as some of us have known it and as so many others yearn for it to be will be forever impossible."  Phyllis Chesler

Art of the Deal that Reset the World

Doug Ross @ Journal
"Let’s do a quick recap for the folks in the cheap seats. The Panicans said it was reckless. Wrong. They said it would start a war. Wrong. They said there was no plan. Wrong. They said Trump was in over his head. Spectacularly wrong. At some point, being wrong this consistently stops being a mistake and starts being a lifestyle." . . .

"On April 7, 2026, a ceasefire with Iran went into effect — and somewhere, an entire army of blue-check foreign policy experts quietly deleted their “This is how World War III starts” threads. While the Panicans were hyperventilating into their New Yorker tote bags, Trump was running the same playbook he’s used since the ‘80s. Pressure, escalation, leverage, deal. It wasn’t a secret. He literally wrote a book about it. But reading is hard when you’re too busy doom-scrolling and writing “we’re all gonna die” in a group chat full of people who think The View is news. The ceasefire is real. The Strait is reopening. And the Panicans owe everyone an apology they’ll never give — because admitting they were wrong would require a level of self-awareness they haven’t unlocked yet.
"Trump has been running this same move since before most of these pundits had Twitter accounts, and they still fell for it. Every. Single. Time. He did it with China on trade — “Oh no, tariffs will destroy us!” Deal. He did it with North Korea — “He’s going to nuke Guam!” Summit. He did it with the USMCA — “NAFTA is sacred!” Signed. And now Iran — “He’s a madman, this is catastrophic!” Ceasefire. At this point, falling for the panic is like being the guy who gets Charlie Brown’d by the football for the 40th time and still blames the football. The Panicans had months to recognize the pattern. A toddler with a memory could’ve called this. But instead, they spent every night on cable news looking directly into a camera and being wrong with absolute confidence. That takes talent. The wrong kind — but talent nonetheless." . . .
. . . "Now here’s where it gets really fun — because the ceasefire isn’t just a Middle East story, and the Panicans have no idea what’s coming next. The Strait of Hormuz is reopening, which means twenty percent of the world’s oil is no longer held hostage by a regime that doesn’t exist anymore. Whoops. Russia and Ukraine are getting dragged toward a real negotiation because the U.S. just showed the entire planet what happens when it actually commits. China is looking at Taiwan and doing math it doesn’t like. And across the Middle East, countries that couldn’t agree on what day it was are suddenly standing in a line together (remember “The Board of Peace”?). Meanwhile, the “experts” who said none of this was possible are now pivoting to “well, anyone could have done this” — which is hilarious, because they had eight years under Obama and four under Biden to try, and the best they managed was pallets of cash, a nuclear-armed terror state and a participation trophy. Phase 2 is the homecoming: immigration, housing, AI, infrastructure, space. The adults are back at the table. The Panicans can take a seat — preferably in the back, where we can’t hear them." . . .More...

"One of the many faults with today’s Democratic party is they don’t know how to win. They are defeatists. They find themselves on the wrong side of all kinds of 80-20 issues, like open borders, defending illegal criminals, waste, fraud, and abuse corruption, tax hikes, and men in women’s locker rooms. Now, here they go once again badmouthing President Trump’s tremendous victory in Operation Epic Fury, that absolutely crushed Iran in only 38 days. These defeatist Democrats now want to limit the commander in chief’s foreign policy powers, at almost exactly the moment where Mr. Trump, and our mighty military, and American patriots everywhere have scored a tremendous victory.

"Is the war over? I think it basically is. There may be more hostilities, but we’re on the one-yard line. Let’s wait and see. Mr. Trump will never cut a bad deal. He has opened the Strait of Hormuz to take the pressure off energy prices. And he’s keeping all the American military forces in place in the Middle East, just to make sure a badly defeated Iran makes a peace deal. They may misbehave, and more bombing will occur. If they don’t agree to turning over the enriched uranium to America, then more bombing may be necessary. Ditto for their missile programs. Ditto if they keep bombing our Gulf allies." . . .

Springsteen fans outraged over pricey tickets for ‘No Kings’-themed tour; ‘a woke joke’

How much does Hamas like it? Do you think many in the crowds listening to the likes of Governor Walz, Ilhan Omar, Joan Baez and Jane Fonda were those tearing down American historical monuments, cheering for the Hamas gunmen who cooked infants alive while murdering Jewish families that Oct 7th?

How can we not question the moral compasses and intellect of those attending who call victims of evil massacres "Nazis"? Have these benighted souls never felt a bit of fear at the evil that threatens innocent people and nations, shutting down free people and cloaking women in drab black shrouds? Do they not feel the need to resist those who use the whip and the blade against those speaking to be free?  The Tunnel Dweller

"Libs like Brucey will complain about Trump being a king or an authoritarian dictator. Then they will turn right around and support actual authoritarian dictators like in Venezuela and Iran." from comments to the below

Under that model, some seats have climbed as high as $3,000.   . . . "Another user wrote, "If it were truly No Kings, you would need to be a king to afford tickets to attend a show, ironically "focused on no kings."

. . . Some criticism also focused on where the concerts are scheduled. One commenter posted, "Ha, ha only blue cities. No one else would buy the Obama bootlicker's tickets." . . .

His “Glory Days” with some fans have passed him by    "Bruce Springsteen’s fans are furious over the legendary rocker’s astronomical ticket prices for his upcoming “Land of Hope and Dreams” tour, which critics argue are unaffordable for his “working class fanbase” and contradict his Man of the People image.

"The woke New Jersey billionaire is pushing the anti-President Trump “No Kings” agenda in his advertising campaign for the 20-date tour with his E Street Band — but is ironically charging prices fit for royalty, at up to $3,000 a ticket.

"“I couldn’t be more disappointed in the Boss … how do these outrageous ticket prices reflect the land of hopes and dreams? The hopes and dreams of poor people who can’t afford your tickets,” one outraged fan commented on Springsteen’s Instagram post announcing the tour.

" 'You are also catering to upper middle class and the rich. Isn’t that what we’re fighting?” . . .

". . . "Many of his 2.2 million Instagram followers saw the hypocrisy behind his words, given that Springsteen and his team chose to have his tour tickets sold as Platinum ones on Ticketmaster, which means the prices get higher in real-time based on demand.

" 'If this concert is meant to be a political statement, dynamic pricing makes no sense … It feels contradictory to defend democracy while playing by pure free-market rules where money decides everything,” one of his irate followers said.

"“Many of us are living paycheck to paycheck and can’t afford tickets for hundreds or thousands of dollars. I thought Bruce was better than that,” another added.

"Tickets went on sale at Ticketmaster on Feb. 20 for the tour — which hasn’t sold out yet — that begins on March 31 in Minneapolis and makes local stops at Madison Square Garden, UBS Arena, the Barclays Center, and the Prudential Center, before ending in Washington, D.C. on May 27.

“Ha, ha only blue cities. No one else would buy the Obama bootlicker’s tickets,” another quipped" . . .

But the venom is there in some capacity:   "The fact that the 20-time Grammy winner has a net worth of $1.2 billion was also not lost on fans, who have come to the realization Springsteen does have a “Hungry Heart” — for cold hard cash.

"“As a billionaire, he should tour for FREE,” one said, while another added, “Bruce doesn’t care about his fans. All he cares about is the money.” Others suggested he give his tour earnings to charity.

Did You See This Clip of Obama's CIA Director Talking About Iran?

 Townhall

"If this were 1942, Brennan would take Hitler's side over the Allies in negotiations and in deciding whom to trust. He just exposed that."

"It’s beyond parody that a former CIA director could be so out of touch, simply because he disliked an election outcome. This was a gathering of the so-called 'morons' on MS Now—true, that’s often the case, but this time, it was a particular brand of idiocy. They had John Brennan, Obama’s former spy chief, who arguably went rogue during the Russia investigation, claiming he would trust Iran, the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism, over Donald Trump.

"John, are we experiencing dementia, or are you just getting your shots in before your probable indictment for giving false testimony about the Russiagate hoax, especially regarding the Steele dossier?

"Trump launched Operation Epic Fury almost a month ago, where we’ve destroyed Iran’s navy, its nuclear weapons ambitions, and the core of its political and military leadership. The cream of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps is gone. The Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, is dead, and his son is pretty much half dead. Its ballistic missile capability has been severely degraded; its infrastructure and manufacturing base are being dismantled. This regime will collapse. But there’s been a pause as talks reportedly resumed on a new deal between the US and Iran.

“'Well, I tend to believe Iran more than I do Donald Trump, because he could not acknowledge the truth even when it—he's slapped in the face with it repeatedly,” said Brennan on MS Now."  . . . More...

The mainstream media is obsessed with hoping Trump fails in Iran

 Jack Hellner - American Thinker

"And the public is told that these people are the adults in the room, the compassionate people, the progressive people, the smart people by most of the media as they seek to destroy Trump every day of his presidency."

"What is with the media these days?

"Here is an article by people posing as journalists at Reuters whose writing would make you think they are deer in the headlights.

U.S. President Donald Trump demanded Iran's "unconditional surrender" on Friday, a dramatic escalation one week into the war he launched alongside Israel that could make it more difficult to negotiate a swift end to hostilities.

"They think it is terrible that Trump demands unconditional surrender from Iranian leaders as they are pounded to oblivion because it harms "diplomacy" as if that has worked for 47 years to end the destruction of the Iranian people and the damage to the world.

"They loved Presidents Obama and Biden as they catered to Iranian leaders and gave them boatloads of money to build weapons and support terrorist groups. They didn't mind when Obama shipped the Iranian leaders cash and when he let Hezbollah off the hook for drugging in the U.S to appease Iran. They probably thought that was "smart" diplomacy.

Another article from Reuters says that Russia and China demand an immediate end to the war in Iran as they continue a four-year war on Ukraine. This is what they wrote:

  • China's Wang says killing of Iranian leader unacceptable
  • Wang, Russia's Lavrov call for immediate end to strikes
  • Russia says security of Gulf states must be guaranteed
U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran are unacceptable, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Sunday as he called for an immediate ceasefire and the resumption of talks to prevent a wider regional conflict.
"The Reuters writer probably doesn't see a problem with that or think that Russia and Chian should have a say. They clearly don't care that Iran has had a policy of death to America and death to Israel.

"And here in this United Nations press release are the UN experts on human rights demanding an end to the war because it is a threat to the right to life. "  . . .More

Democrats go to war - Against Trump

Don Surber

"In a world where the media spares Democrats scrutiny, Democrat lies pile high."

"The Democrats’ knee-jerk reaction to Operation Epic Fury is another step toward irrelevancy by the Party Of Obama. The party ran out of good ideas when Clinton left office. He left Dubya a balanced budget. Now the party embraces every bad idea that comes along. Reparations for Oprah! Spaying and neutering teens suffering sexual dysphoria! Open borders!
"In Trump’s first year back in office, Democrats have denounced his every single action as commander-in-chief. Even the Army’s parade to celebrate its 250th anniversary drew plenty of whine from the Democrat vineyard, falsely labeling it a birthday parade for Donald John Trump.
"Planning for the anniversary celebration began under Biden when he still thought he’d be re-elected.
"Trump began his second term as commander-in-chief by deploying the 10,000 soldiers to the Mexican border. Jack Reed, top Democrat on the Senate Armed Services Committee, said the deployment was “dangerous and an inappropriate use of the U.S. military to carry out his immigration enforcement campaign.”
"Reed called the soldiers a “de facto border police.”
"In response, War Consigliere Pete Hegseth awarded Mexican Border Defense Medals that replicated the 1918 Mexican Border Defense Medal issued to soldiers in General Blackjack Pershing’s expedition to Mexico in 1916-1917.
"When Operation Midnight Hammer destroyed Iran’s nuclear labs, Democrats condemned him. AOC’s word salad said, “The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers. He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations. It is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment.”

Are Democrats that Stupid or Just Gas Lighting the Public?

Larry Horst; The Punching Bag Post

"That same language used by Tehran, China, Russia. In their irrational hatred of Trump, Democrats make common cause with America’s mortal enemies. As I said in a previous commentary, these Democrats are reprising the role of Tokyo Rose, the voice of anti-American propaganda in World War II."

"I pose the headline question because have been listening to one Democrat after another – and every talking head on MS NOW – say that President Trump attacked Iran without a plan or a reason. They say the current situation it his fault for tearing up President Obama’s deal that would have prevented Iran from having nuclear weapons for ten years. (Yeah, I know that Democrats keep saying the deal prevented Iran from ever getting nuclear weapons, but that is … a bald-faced lie.)
The Legality
"Democrats say that Trump’s action is illegal – that he had to get the approval of Congress. Not so. First of all, it is the Supreme Court that determines the legality of presidential actions — not a bunch partisan political hacks. I have not yet seen any Democrat running to the Supreme Court. Methinks, they know that Trump currently has the power under the War Powers Act and they would lose. Democrats are pushing for passage of a War Powers Resolution in an attempt to stop or restrain Trump. Hmmm. Would they be doing that if they really thought his actions were already illegal? Regardless, it is not likely to pass Congress – and if it did, Trump would simply veto it. It is an exercise in futility – the kind of meaningless theatrics Democrats love.
"The issue of legality brings up another issue – one not raised by the press, unfortunately. Since many Democrats claim both the actions in Venezuela and now those in Iran are illegal actions, I would ask them if they believe Trump is a war criminal — and if they believe that the military – from generals to troops on the frontline – should disobey Trump’s orders. How would Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, and the others who appeared on those videos, respond?" . More...

SOTU and Iran: not Democrats finest moments

"They invoke the Constitution against Trump — even as history and their own record tell a different story." And they support those wearing Hamas scarves while they assault Jews in Western cities. TD

The Democrats’ Epic Fury Over Iran Strikes | The American Spectator

"And no Trump-ordered operation would be complete without a denunciation from that widely-respected foreign policy authority, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez "

"It was hardly necessary to consult Nostradamus to predict that the Democrats, who profess to abhor oppressive authoritarian theocracies, would denounce President Trump’s decision to topple the government of Iran — the very definition of such a regime. Nor was it a surprise that they downplay or simply ignore the obvious elation with which the Iranians themselves greeted the long overdue demise of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. It is striking, however, that the Democrats fail to see that their reflexive attacks on Trump for taking action against such a dangerous regime and indifference to the response of the Iranian people reinforces the public perception that their party is weak and out of touch.
"The last two Democrat Presidents have already damaged their party’s credibility where Iran is concerned by coddling the Khamenei regime with financial, diplomatic, and political concessions. Nonetheless a key architect of the Obama administration’s disastrous 2015 Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA), Ben Rhodes, had the unmitigated  audacity to post the following on social media: “Trump lied about being against forever wars, he broke the most basic promise he made to his own supporters.” Rhodes’ comments were not well received. Former acting Director of National Intelligence Richard A. Grenell responded, “You were part of the team who gave billions of dollars to the Iranian Regime … Once again, President Trump is cleaning up your mess.” . . .  More...

War With Iran: Justified Strike, Uncertain Horizon  . . . "It is a prime responsibility of reporters and columnists to get the facts straight. In war, this is almost impossible to do with any speed so the urge to get a scoop that beats the competition is a recipe for getting the facts wrong.
"We have to assume that the air strikes — which may not be accompanied by landing forces in Iran — will go on for days, weeks and, possibly, months. Mr. Trump and his administration have also to be prepared for other hotspots — such as Taiwan — which could erupt in days or weeks because other nations will want to take advantage of our preoccupation with Iran. If a war breaks out over Taiwan, it’s highly questionable whether we can cope with that while operations are going on in Iran. Russian President Putin will be tempted to try to push his luck in Ukraine.
"Chinese intervention is also possible if we bomb Iran’s principal oil export facility at Kharg Island. If we hit Kharg Island quickly, we could cripple both Iran’s and China’s economies. It would be entirely worthwhile to do so but there are risks.
"Mr. Trump has indicated that regime change in Iran is his — and our Israeli allies’ — goal. That will take more than air strikes to accomplish.
"Who will govern Iran after the ayatollahs’ regime falls?" . . .More...

Here's the Geopolitical Mistake Iran Made That Only Led to More Nations Lining Up Against Them

How must Democrats feel? What if Kamala had been President? How have the enslaved people of Iran fared under other Democrats in office? Jimmy Carter? Barack Obama, who forsook them to feel that he and the Iranians he feared were friends who would not harm him?

Matt Vespa; Townhall

“Many people in the Gulf woke up Saturday pissed off at the United States and Israel, and went to sleep pissed off at Iran,”

Broc Smith –

Iran had to act, but it only worsened their situation: the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, was dead, and their military leadership was eliminated. They responded with missile strikes against Israel and other Gulf nations. The idea was that this would turn those countries against the United States and pressure them to stop the air campaign. However, it backfired, causing the entire region to turn against Iran—Saudi Arabia, in particular, sided with the US, which is expected. While the kingdom often follows a narrative to placate anti-Israel sentiments, it remains a rival of Iran both geopolitically and religiously—the Saudis are Sunni and the Iranians are majority Shiite, two branches that aren’t too cozy with one another (via WSJ):

So far, this calculus seems to have backfired. Gulf states, rattled by volleys of Iranian drones and missiles targeting their hotels, ports and airports, are concluding the Iranian peril must be confronted. Rather than seeking an offramp, the prevailing mood in the Gulf—at least for now—is that the Iranian regime can’t be allowed to get away with this unprecedented onslaught on its neighbors.

"The subplot to Iran’s nuclear ambitions was Saudi Arabia’s declaration some 20 years ago that it would start its own nuclear weapons program if Tehran acquired the bomb. No one wants a nuclear arms race in the Middle East."  . . .

"Iranian Exiles Dance to Trump's YMCA After Khamenei's Death in Strikes "Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, 86, died on February 28, 2026, in U.S.-Israeli airstrikes targeting Iranian leadership amid rising tensions; Trump confirmed the action due to imminent threats, and Iranian media verified it the next day with 40 days of mourning declared. Exiles in Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco celebrated with Trump's signature YMCA moves to the Village People's song, led by monarchist supporters hoping for regime change after decades of Khamenei's rule. While some condemned the festivities as tasteless, the scenes highlighted deep diaspora resentment and rare unity with America and Israel." https://www.youtube.com/shorts/HaIkAVRmuaI

The Women Who Would Not Kneel; As Iran’s regime wages war on its own daughters, the U.S. now faces a test that is both moral and strategic.

Presently, purple-haired, pierced semi-women in America hold their pre-printed, pre-planned professional posters in protest of our President's actions.

 The American Spectator

"During the Biden administration, I attended a small dinner with Iranian dissidents living in the United States. As they spoke, quietly, intensely, of a free Iran, I asked what they wanted most from American leadership.

Their answer was simple.

“ 'We do not want you to fight for us. We just want to know you will not abandon us when the time comes.”

"Earlier this year, tens of thousands poured into the streets across Iran in the most profound protest movement since the Iranian revolution in 1979. Many were women. (RELATED: Iran Is Not That Simple)

"The courage required is difficult to comprehend from a distance. Iranian women and girls stepped into public squares under a regime that has never concealed its capacity for cruelty toward them. For decades, they have lived with midnight arrestsendless interrogationsmurder carried out by morality police, and prisons that swallow dissent without a trace. Still, they chose to stand openly. (RELATED: Time to Stand With the People of Iran)

"What followed ranks among the most grotesque displays of state violence in recent memory.

"Accounts from detainees, families, and medical personnel describe women raped in custody, mutilated, and returned to their loved ones in conditions that defy comprehension. There are credible reports of uteruses removed, scalps taken, and bodies so desecrated that families were denied the chance to see or bury their dead. Some never received remains at all. In a system long accustomed to repression, these acts are meant to extinguish resistance and memory." . . .

These protesting Iranians remember too well Democrat President Obama's betrayal of their Green Revolution in 2009:

Barack Obama Is to Blame for Iran. Here’s Why.

Iran’s reign of terror finally faces the hammer of justice with Operation Epic Fury, proving Trump’s strength buries Obama’s shameful appeasement forever.

Had to keep his base happy.

"Americans woke up Saturday to something big. The United States and Israel launched a massive joint offensive against Iran’s regime, known as Operation Epic Fury. According to reports, targets included Iran’s supreme leader and president. Major combat operations are now underway, and the implications are global.

"Predictably, Democrats in Washington and even some Republicans are questioning the strikes. But let’s be honest — this moment was long overdue. Iran’s reign of terror didn’t start yesterday. In fact, this confrontation is the direct result of the Obama administration’s disastrous decision a decade ago to appease, enrich, and embolden Tehran.

"Barack Obama and his administration sold the world a fantasy with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), commonly referred to as the Iran nuclear deal. This treaty was so bad that Obama didn’t even attempt to get the Senate to ratify it. He just pretended it wasn’t a treaty and signed it unilaterally, claiming it as a foreign policy victory for himself.

"In fact, Obama was so desperate to make the deal a defining foreign policy achievement of his presidency that the lies about the deal from the left have never stopped. He told us it was a historic diplomatic breakthrough that would block Iran’s path to nuclear weapons. In reality, it handed the mullahs a lifeline and a fortune. Sanctions were lifted. Tehran gained access to roughly $150 billion in frozen assets, and there was that infamous $1.7 billion in cash sent to the regime, much of it delivered on pallets in the middle of the night. Every step of the way, Obama was emboldening Iran, not containing it.

"It didn’t take long for Iran to show what a joke the deal really was. Just three months after signing the deal, Tehran test-fired ballistic missiles in open violation of U.N. resolutions. German intelligence later reported that Iran was still seeking technology for a military nuclear program. The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed repeated violations of material limits — all while Obama kept reassuring us that the agreement was “working.” Even he eventually admitted Iran was violating the “spirit” of the deal, and that was as close as he’d ever get to admitting that his deal was a sham." . . .  More...
