THE OBAMA MISSTATEMENTS
By Neal Boortz "Here's the story from the Wall Street Journal I was using yesterday to detail Obama's misstatements of fact. My listeners wanted me to list all 20 of the truth-challenged statements. So, here they are. For the explanations you'll have to click on the link and read the whole story. Now I know you liberals and ObamaBots aren't going to read any further. This is too hard for you to deal with. The very idea that The Chosen one could possibly be wrong ... or, worse, actually lie to you is just too much for you to bear. So why don't you head over to The Daily Kos for your comfort food while people who actually care about the truth read on ....."
Death Panel or not?
Liberals ridicule the term "Death Panel" and say the term does not exist. But I ask you, who will make the decision Obama speaks of here? If it is a board (panel, I suggest.) of some sort that makes the decision to just give Grandma the pill, could they not be doing what a "death panel "would be required to do? The commenters blow it off, but reports from Canada and the UK do not support them. Victoria Taft with a hat tip to Lew Waters
Gore Vidal: ‘We’ll have a dictatorship soon in the US’
California Chronicle "The grand old man of letters Gore Vidal claims America is ‘rotting away’ — and don’t expect Barack Obama to save it." Hat tip to Charlie Kears of calchronicle. Good work at COLAB.
The Brainy Bunch
Thomas Sowell , Townhall "Someone recently pointed out how much Barack Obama's style and strategies resemble those of Latin American charismatic despots-- the takeover of industries by demagogues who never ran a business, the rousing rhetoric of resentment addressed to the masses and the personal cult of the leader promoted by the media. But do we want to become the world's largest banana republic? "
Candidate Obama Repeatedly Said He Would Reinforce U.S. Troops in Afghanistan
CNS News "On Mar. 27, 2009, Obama announced a “comprehensive new strategy” for Afghanistan, saying that this policy came after careful review by military commanders and diplomats, government officials in Afghanistan, NATO allies, and members of Congress. “The situation is increasingly perilous,” said Obama, and “the safety of people around the world is at stake.”"
The Metamorphosis/ In which our liberal author awakens one morning from uneasy dreams . . .
By David Kahane=NRO "I have a nightmare. I have a nightmare that sometime before the 2010 elections, the scales will fall from your eyes and you will see us as we really are. I have a nightmare that you will read C. S. Lewis’s The Screwtape Letters and realize that it is not fiction. I have a nightmare that you will read Plunkitt of Tammany Hall and get firsthand instruction in how we steal elections."
Sick Lib Says Republicans Want Patients to "Die Quickly" Because They Oppose Nationalized Health Care (Video)
Gateway Pundit "Don't look for the media to say diddly about this nasty attack. And, don't look for Speaker Pelosi to scold this liberal representative for his awful and dishonest hate speech."
26 Foiled Terror Plots Show Success of Information Sharing
Heritage "President Barack Obama pledged that his Administration would continue to increase U.S. capacity and international partnerships to track down, capture, and kill terrorists around the world. Congress and the Obama Administration can work together to fulfill this promise by:..."
Obama's Work Ethic
By Ed Lasky American Thinker "Is this why he dithers in the face of major geopolitical challenges? Is he afraid of making a mistake? Can he just vote present as President? Is this why he outsources so much domestic policy to Congress and foreign policy to the United Nations? Does he carry on his practice of voting present -- as he did as a state Senator -- while being President?
Does it seem he just doesn't like to do hard work?"

How Not to Defeat al Qaeda
by Frederick W. Kagan & Kimberly Kagan "Al Qaeda, by contrast, seeks to rule all the world's 1.5 billion Muslims and to reduce the non-Muslim peoples to subservience. For al Qaeda, terrorism is a start, not an end nor even the preferred means. It goes without saying that the United States and the West would face catastrophic consequences if al Qaeda ever managed to obtain the ability to wage war by different means. Defeating al Qaeda requires more than disrupting its leadership cells so that they cannot plan and conduct attacks in the United States. It also requires preventing al Qaeda from obtaining the capabilities it seeks to wage real war beyond terrorist strikes." H/T to The Weekly Standard
Obama can't downsize to success in Afghanistan
LA Times "We do not have to create "Jeffersonian democracy" in Afghanistan. But we do have to keep it from becoming a terrorist haven. The only way to achieve that minimal objective is with a comprehensive counterinsurgency strategy. If Obama blinks now, he will be doing grave damage not only to U.S. security but to his own credibility." Hat tip to Dawn Patrol .
Officials: Fed will need to boost rates quickly
Yahoo Finance "To prevent inflation from taking off, the Federal Reserve will need to start boosting interest rates quickly and aggressively once the economy is back on firmer footing, Fed officials warned Tuesday." Not entirely bad news, you realize?
