The way things are in Israel

Lizi Hameiri shared this at Tea Party  "The best movie that shows simply and best the situation about Hamas provoking Israel and then goes crying to the world, as if they were victims ( while they are the aggressors) and the world condemns Israel."

School nutrition group turns on Michelle O, now fighting federal lunch regulations

trashlunch
Education Action Group Foundation    "Most recently, the School Nutrition Association – which initially championed the new federal lunch standards on fruits, vegetables, salt, fat, sugar and virtually every other aspect of school lunches when they were implemented in 2012 – is now lobbying Congress to dial back the “overly prescriptive” and expensive changes, the New York Times News Service reports."
....
"SNA officials rightly point out that many students are throwing away the additional fruits and vegetables included in their lunches, amounting to $684 million in food waste every year – or roughly “enough to serve complete reimbursable school lunches to more than 228 million students,” according to the Times."

Costco to remove all copies of Dinesh D’Souza’s bestselling book “America: Imagine the World Without Her”

Costco removing D'Souza's 'America' from shelves  ... "The book, in this mid-term election year, is a strong rebuttal of the progressive ideology behind President Obama’s policies, which have been supported by Costco co-founder and director Jim Senegal, a major Democrat donor and a speaker at the 2012 Democratic National Convention that nominated the president. A Washington Post political reporter has noted Obama’s “romance” with the nation’s second-largest retailer.

"Costco co-founder and director James D. Sinegal spoke at the Democratic National Convention in 2012, which nominated President Obama for a second term.

"Sinegal, who retired as Costco CEO in January 2013, said Obama’s re-election would be better for businesses than a country led by Mitt Romney.

"American companies, he said, need “a president who takes the long view and makes the tough decisions,” said Sinegal.

“ 'That’s why I am here tonight supporting President Obama, a president making an economy built to last,” he said."...

Media Not Very Curious about D’Souza Indictment    ... "Arkansas trial lawyer Tab Turner, as Overlawyered recounted in 2006, reimbursed donors of $8,000 to John Edwards’ 2004 presidential campaign and just had to cough up a $9,500 civil fine. By highlighting the contrast in his post Thursday, Olson seemed to be suggesting that D’Souza has been selectively targeted for prosecution because he’s so critical of the Obama administration.

Nevada Woman Dies After Suing Over Delayed Obamacare Coverage

Natalie Johnson  ... "Rolain was diagnosed with the tumor in early 2014 and was unable to receive treatment for months because of enrollment problems with the state’s Obamacare exchange, Nevada Health Link, Rolain’s husband Robert said in a June press conference.
Robert Rolain said his wife’s tumor went from treatable to fatal as they awaited coverage.
"Following multiple enrollment issues, the couple bought insurance through Xerox. The plan was supposed to begin in March, but Xerox miscommunicated its start date so the couple didn’t know they had coverage until May, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. "

Israel PM calls father of murdered Palestinian teen

Yahoo News

"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday telephoned the father of an east Jerusalem teenager who was kidnapped and killed last week in a suspected revenge attack by Jewish extremists.

"The brutal murder of Mohammed Abu Khder, 16, on Wednesday has sparked days of clashes between angry protesters and riot police which began in annexed east Jerusalem and have since spread to Arab towns in Israel.

"In a statement, Netanyahu's office said he had spoken with the teenager's father, Hussein Abu Khder, to offer his condolences and express his outrage over the "abhorrent" murder a day after the security forces confirmed arresting six Jewish extremists on suspicion of involvement.

" 'I would like to express my outrage and that of the citizens of Israel over the reprehensible murder of your son," Netanyahu told him." ...

California’s Hydromania

Victor Davis Hanson
Photo via PJMedia"Two events now characterize the California agrarian heartland, the richest and most productive farm belt in the world.

"One, of course, is the third year of drought. I refer here to nature’s lack of rain and snow. But also factor in the state’s additional man-made drought, through diversions of precious stored reservoir water from agriculture and community use to environmental causes that demand more river water must flow out to the sea.

"The state’s environmental fanatics over thirty years ago cancelled the critical tertiary phases of the California Water Project and the federal Central Valley Project. I guess those in the Bay Area whose lives rest on Hetch Hetchy  delivered reservoir water deemed reservoirs for all others passé and so 19th century ." ...

Obama's anti-science California drought crusade

"Fresh from his diplomatic triumph in handing the Middle East over to Russia, America’s buffoonish Secretary of State, John Kerry, took his sad-clown act to Indonesia, where he somehow contrived to link a volcanic eruption to man-made global warming.  But that’s not even the dumbest gesture an Obama Administration official has made toward the official government religion of the United States recently.

"No, the winning act of devotion to the Church of Global Warming is ..."

Not on Obama’s Texas Itinerary: The Border

The president is behind on the immigration crisis, but so is Congress.

John Fund    "San Diego — President Obama will visit Texas this week for three political fundraisers. One place he will not visit while in Texas: the Mexican border. A border visit is apparently not necessary, in Obama’s view, to monitor the crisis that has seen thousands of migrants — including unaccompanied children — flood into the United States."

From the always-alert Lucianne:

Deportation data won't dispel rumors drawing migrant minors to U.S.    ...Obama administration officials deny that lenient policies...have encouraged the sudden surge.
"They instead blame a 2008 law signed by Bush that made it nearly impossible to repatriate unaccompanied minors to Central America without letting them appear before an immigration judge."

Obama’s war on real Americans   "According to media reports, the Obama regime is going to deploy riot squads to make sure those buses get through.
"The Regime cannot close off the border but it is going to use riot police to attack real Americans!"

MS-13 gang members and jihadists let in over the border as children    “ 'Art Del Cueto, president of the National Border Patrol Council Local 2544 in Tucson, Arizona told the National Review that officers who recognize gang tattoos on the minors are supposed to treat them like everyone else."

French 'Mother' Kills Teacher in Front of Class

The killer was a, er...French person,...um, a resident of the French town...a Frenchman...French citizen, ummmm....

Selwyn Duke   "It was headlining AOL on Friday: a story about a woman stabbing a schoolteacher to death in front of a class of five and six-year-olds.  The gruesome and bloody crime occurred in the southern French town of Albi; the victim was a 34-year-old mother of two.

"But a certain bit of information is conspicuously missing from virtually all the reportage.  We’re told the killer was under the impression that the teacher had accused her five-year-old daughter of theft.  We’re told she had a history of child abuse and “severe psychiatric problems.”  We’re told she’s 47.  And we’re told she’s a she.  But her name is nowhere to be found, and information about her background is...well, you’ll see.
...
" ...The killer, however, is almost universally identified as “the mother.”  But I was sure I knew what the big secret was.  Those tow-headed Norwegians are at it again."

... "I know it doesn’t roll off the tongue when doing negative pieces quite like “Christian,” “conservative,” or “Tea Party” does.  But no one ever said journalism would be simple and easy, especially since it is mainly practiced by the simple-minded of easy virtue."

It's happening: Border Patrol personnel infected by illegal immigrant flood

Political Cartoons by Lisa Benson
Thomas Lifson   "Along with piteous pictures of children flooding across our borders and being distributed across the country courtesy of US taxpayers come disease vectors. Maybe flying them around to various parts of the country isn’t the smartest idea. NBC News reports:
A border patrol agent was diagnosed with scabies after processing undocumented immigrants in Otay Mesa, California, the agent's union representative said.

Alan Caruba: International Climate Skeptics Gather in Las Vegas

Warning Signs

"From July 7 to 9, the ninth International Conference on Climate Change will convene in Las Vegas in a dramatic demonstration that “global warming” was a huge hoax and the claims that “climate change” is responsible for everything are a continuation of that fraud." ...
...
"Leading Heartland has been its president, Joseph Bast, who asks “How can there be a ‘scientific consensus’ on the causes or consequences of climate change when thousands of scientists, economists, and policy experts attend conferences devoted to expressing the opposite theme, that the science is still unsettled and climate change is not a crisis?” In May Bast was joined by research scientist, Roy Spencer, in a Wall Street Journal commentary that debunked the lie that 97% of scientists support climate change, noting that “surveys of meteorologists repeatedly find a majority oppose the alleged consensus.” Emphasis added by TD.    Full article..
