After Snapping Photo, Teacher Says, ‘I Hope You Know, You’re Going Viral’

TruthTent   "A group of teachers was having lunch at their local McDonald’s when a man caught their eye. They couldn’t help but eavesdrop, and when they realized what he was doing, one of them snapped a photo. Before leaving, she looked at him and said, “I hope you know, you’re going viral.” She was right.". . .

. . ."
As Amanda posted the image to Facebook later that evening, she explained that the elderly lady “seemed a little lonely” as she came up to Eric Haralson, a stranger, and asked if she could sit with him. “Without hesitation, this guy said, ‘of course,’” Amanda revealed in the photo caption.

"Giving a “Shout out to this guy!” Amanda continued, “My friends and I watched him introduce himself and shake her hand. They talked and laughed together like they were friends. They didn’t know each other, and they couldn’t be more different. But, today, they shared a meal together and it touched our hearts.' ”

Politico Suggests Election Fraud Could Cost Democrats the Election  "As the lull before the storm continues prior to election day, the takes continue to get dumber. Republicans have begun a new round of dooming based on what can only be called a late vibe shift (i.e. not backed by real data), but Democrats aren’t exactly exhibiting confidence either.

"Enter Politico, which decided it’d be a great idea to drop an article about election fraud on the eve of voters going to the polls. Guess which party they think is going to try to “steal” the election this time and then try not to break your ribs from laughing so hard.". . .

Indiana Poll Worker Caught Pushing Voters to Support Democratic Candidates. Let us pray no Republicans - the party of Lincoln - are doing this

Dem poll worker ejected for pre-selecting 'straight Dem ticket' on voting machine, calling Rs 'racist'

The first incident took place early Thursday evening as a group of education activists stood outside the Carmel polling place and advocated for pro-parent school board candidates. Sheller says the worker spoke with a pair of black voters who entered the polling station and urged them not to vote for the pro-parent candidates, arguing that the activists outside were "racist."

The United Methodist Divorce

American Free News Network

. . ."Where we differ is that we Traditionalists support our Book of Discipline which states that the practice of homosexuality is not compatible with Christian teaching.

"We also stand firm on the Scriptural definition of sin and repentance, and the Scriptures are consistent in their prohibition of same-sex unions in both the Old and the New Testaments.

"Therefore, we believe that an unrepentant practicing homosexual may not be ordained as a minister, nor may a same-sex marriage union be condoned by the church. To do so would be putting the church’s official sanction on sin.

"Progressives, in contrast, want to remove any restrictive language about LBGTQ+ individuals from the Book of Discipline. They don’t just want to ignore the sin–they want to sanction the active practice of homosexuality so that it is no longer called a sin.

"As Christians, we are called to speak the truth in love. We’ve been conditioned to believe that showing tolerance and love is the same thing as being Christian. But it’s not. Showing Christian love also means holding one another accountable to the Scriptures.

"The truth is that today’s UMC is made up of two groups with very different opinions existing within one church. We see the inspiration and the authority of the Bible differently. We have different sexual ethics. We disagree on marriage and ordination. We understand our mission differently. These are not small matters that we can overlook any longer.

"I view disaffiliation as the best way forward, a way that allows two very different perspectives to continue worshipping as their beliefs dictate. And I pray that the inevitable United Methodist divorce can be amicable."

Biden. Democrats seem impervious to shame

Pants on Fire: Biden yells 'There is no more drilling!' just months after claiming he never shut down energy production  . . ."Well, actually, it was true: "There is no more drilling," as Biden said now. It seems the Biden barrel of lies is so full, the truth can't help but slip out sometimes. For voters, such words from Biden are useless. Biden has blamed Vladimir Putin, OPEC's barons, Big Oil, global warming, Republicans, and all other things he could think of for high prices at the pump. The one thing he won't do is consider what Americans can see with their own eyes, that before President Trump left office, gas prices were about $2 a gallon. Now they are $5 and $6 a gallon in California, and well above $3 a gallon in the rest of America. That's "lived experience."

"The clearest reason for that is Biden's policies to halt drilling. Back in January 2021, Biden signed off on an executive order dictating a ban of oil and gas drilling on federal lands. Fox News has a string of other bans and hamperings he's done to stop energy production and drive pump prices sky high.". . .

Biden on Oil: ‘No More Drilling. There is No More Drilling.’   "President Joe Biden confirmed his disdain for oil drilling right before the midterms:

BIDEN: “No more drilling. There is no more drilling. I haven’t affirmed any new drilling. No… That was before I was president. We’re trying to work on that, get that done. Thank you.”

"The national average gas price went up to $3.804 for regular gas (this chart is updated daily):

Current Avg. $3.804
Yesterday Avg. $3.800
Week Ago Avg. $3.762
Month Ago Avg. $3.891
Year Ago Avg. $3.421

"The prices go up and down. AAA.com wrote on October 31 about “gas prices drifting down.”

"On November 3? “National Average Increases as Pump Prices Remain Volatile.” California’s prices decreased, which surprised me:. . ."

It seems that the voters have finally had enough. In fact, Americans just can't take it anymore. The red wave did not materialize out of nowhere – it's been building for months. And if the terminally out-of-touch Democrats hadn't been no deaf, dumb and blind to the pleas of their own constituents, maybe they could have headed off the disaster.

"People Are Fed Up": Soaring Electricity Bills Become New Pain Point For Biden

How Joe Manchin Enabled President Biden’s Assault On The Coal Industry  "It was just a few months ago when West Virginia Joe Manchin was being widely hailed as perhaps the most powerful politician in Washington, DC. This was true especially where issues related to energy policy were concerned, given his position as Chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
"But Manchin’s decision to become the deciding vote in favor of the mis-named Inflation Reduction Act in early August brought an end to any such talk among the chattering class. That bill gave President Joe Biden and congressional Green New Dealers pretty much everything they had desired, and the only thing Sen. Manchin received in return was a nebulous “deal” with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to pursue the passage of language designed to streamline federal energy permitting processes.". . .

UPDATED: Maybe The Crowd Didn’t React As Trump Expected But Here’s Why Trump Took A Jab At DeSantis

The problem with Ron isn’t how he’s running Florida, it’s that he’s not showing loyalty to the guy who helped him win a REALLY tight race.

USA Supreme  "Ron DeSantis is the latest politician to fall victim to one of Trump’s famous nicknames.

"In times past Trump has coined Low Energy Jeb, Sleepy Joe, Crooked Hillary, Little Marco Rubio, and the list goes on and on.

"During last night’s rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, Trump surprisingly gave Ron DeSantis the nickname “Ron DeSanctimonious”.

"'We’re winning big in the Republican Party for the nomination like nobody’s ever seen before,” Trump told a crowd in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night before going down the list of other Republicans who could potentially challenge him in 2024.

“ 'There it is, Trump at 71%, Ron DeSanctimonious at 10%,” Trump told the crowd while reading the approval numbers of various Republicans.

" 'Mike Pence at 7, oh, Mike is doing better than I thought,” Trump continued. “Liz Cheney there’s no way she’s at 4%. There’s no way. There’s no way. But we’re at 71 to 10 to 7 to 4.' ”. . .

UPDATE,11/7:  Trump did not insult Ron DeSantis, it was merely a joke; A very odd joke;

Biden's Closing Argument Worries Some Democrats

USA TODAY  "Joe Biden crisscrossed the stage for a half-hour before he delivered his gravest warning yet.

"The president – his right hand holding a microphone, his left casually in his suit pocket – returned to the podium and paused

From a previous speech
"This is really deadly earnest, man," Biden told the Florida Memorial University crowd during a campaign rally last week in Miami. "Democracy is on the ballot this year. Along with your right to choose and the right to privacy."

"Biden has spent the final days of an uphill midterm campaign for Democrats imploring that modern-day Republicans are uniquely dangerous – willing to destroy democracy to gain power, ban abortion nationally, cut Social Security and Medicare and, if they don't get their way on entitlements, crash the economy by forcing the government into default.

Conservatives turn on Trump for attacking Ron DeSantis ahead of midterms: ‘What an idiot’

MSN   "Conservative commentators who are typically Donald Trump's allies turned on the former president after he went after Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Saturday.

Trump mocked DeSantis as "Ron DeSanctimonious" while discussing the 2024 Republican presidential primary at a rally in Pennsylvania. The pair is widely considered to be the top contenders for the Republican nomination, though DeSantis has offered no indication he intends to run. Commentators called out Trump for creating division in the ranks just three days before the midterm elections.

"DeSantis is an extremely effective conservative governor who has had real policy wins and real cultural wins. Trump isn’t going to be able to take this one down with a dumb nickname. He better have more than that up his sleeve," wrote Matt Walsh, a commentator at The Daily Wire and a leading voice among social conservatives.

"Also, nice job launching your public attack against the most popular conservative governor in America three days before the midterms when we’re all supposed to be showing a united front," he added.

"What an idiot," wrote Rod Dreher, a senior editor at The American Conservative. "DeSantis is a far more effective leader of the Right than Trump was, if, that is, you expect a leader to get a lot done, rather than just talking about it and owning the libs.". . .

. . .A presidential straw poll at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit found that 78.7% of attendees favored Trump to be the Republican nominee in 2024.

Another straw poll at the Conservative Political Action Conference in August found that Trump had 69% support from attendees to run in 2024. DeSantis came in with just 24% support.

Nevertheless, DeSantis has carried the victory in some 2024 primary polls. A survey of Republicans in New Hampshire saw the governor take a thin lead over Trump in a potential Republican primary in June. The poll showed 39% of likely Republican primary voters in the Granite State would support the first-term Florida governor, with 37% backing the former president.

Rat's Nest: Hakeem Jeffries and Adam Schiff gnaw and scratch it out over who gets to lead the losing Democrats

Monica Showalter  "The battle to be King 'Rat among the rapidly sinking Democrats is now going full steam.

"According to Politico:

The race to succeed Speaker Nancy Pelosi as the leader of House Democrats may have been clinched at a meeting in the Capitol on Sept. 1.

That’s when House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn of South Carolina and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries of New York slipped back to Washington to connect in Clyburn’s office during the summer congressional recess at Jeffries’ request.

Jeffries, the fifth-ranking House Democrat who aspires to be the first-ranking House Democrat in the next Congress, was picking up heightened chatter from colleagues about California Rep. Adam Schiff’s outreach expressing his own interest in the top caucus job.

"Hakeem, it seems, was pretty sure he had it in the bag until Adam Schiff came along, sneaking around under cover of darkness to get the leadership job locked up. According to my research from last January, Hakeem's planned it out like this for years. He went running to Clyburn, the man who made Joe Biden president, to try to get Godfather's blessing again.". . .

The Democrats’ Insurrection Flop; January 6 ever mattered to anyone outside the Beltway.

To the contrary, plenty of Americans believe retaliatory criminal and congressional investigations intended to criminalize political speech and activity represent an unprecedented abuse of power by a regime with no accountability, no decency, and no mercy. J.K.
Pelosi's posse

Julie Kelly  "If there is a poster child for the Democrats’ humiliating failure to make the events surrounding January 6, 2021 a winning issue in the midterm elections, it is U.S. Representative Elaine Luria (D-Va.).

"The two-term congresswoman is fighting for her political life in a race now categorized as a toss-up; a recent poll showed Luria tied with Republican State Senator Jen Kiggans just a few weeks before an expected red wave election, despite Luria outspending Kiggans by a more than 2-1 margin. (Before the state’s remap process, Luria represented a district that voted for Joe Biden by 5 percentage points and Hillary Clinton by 6 percentage points. Her new district now has a 3-point Democratic advantage.)

"It wasn’t supposed to be this way. No doubt anticipating a tough reelection for Luria, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) appointed her to the January 6 select committee—an exercise sold to the American people as a way to investigate what happened that day and prevent future “insurrections.” Primetime televised coverage promised to make Luria a national star, a defender of “democracy,” and a voice of reason in a country purportedly under siege by domestic terrorists—i.e., Trump voters.

" 'We must leave behind any veil of partisanship at the door because the American people deserve answers on what happened on that day and how we can ensure this does not happen again,” Luria said in July 2021, before the committee’s first public hearing.

"But that, of course, didn’t happen. The committee instead descended into the latest iteration of the “Get Trump” crusade; rather than press law enforcement and congressional leadership to explain why they failed to secure the Capitol or identify the alleged “pipe bomber,” or release thousands of hours of surveillance video, the committee, including Luria, fixated on the former president and his inner circle.

"The public tuned out—rightly concluding Biden-created crises, such as the wide open border and exploding inflation pose far greater threats to the republic than the dude with the furry horn hat. This confounds the regime’s corporate media lackeys, who have devoted more coverage to the four-hour disturbance than perhaps any other event in American history.

"Scott MacFarlane, a CBS News national correspondent assigned exclusively to the January 6 beat, traveled to Luria’s district to find out why her constituents don’t care about it. Claiming Luria had something “unique” to talk about—“what she calls her effort to prevent another attempted insurrection and attack on democracy,” MacFarlane explained—the reporter seemed gobsmacked that voters were more concerned with rising gas and food prices. The January 6 committee, MacFarlane lamented, is not “top of mind.”

"Vox reporter Ben Jacobs shared MacFarlane’s mortification over voters’ lack of interest in a story that has monopolized the media’s attention for nearly two years. ". . .

Democrats dominate every aspect of corporate, media, and political power and they don’t know when to let up on the gas.

"Making a mockery of democracy by associating it in the public mind with the elevation of dumb, dementia-ridden, or mentally deficient candidates is deeply and profoundly unwise for Democrats. But they can’t seem to help themselves."

"Don’t get high on your own supply. This sensible advice applies to drug dealers and Democrats alike. But as badly as the American Left needs this lesson, it may already be too late.

"Liberals, like Al Pacino in “Scarface, have already shoved their noses into a mound of the (anti-)white stuff. Not smart. And nowhere is their self-delusion more on display than in the U.S. Senate race in Pennsylvania.

"John Fetterman, the Democratic candidate, is mentally unfit to hold office. Period. His debate performance against his Republican opponent, Dr. Mehmet Oz, was an unmitigated disaster. Fetterman had to have a screen behind the moderators display a live close captioned transcript of the moderators and Oz’s responses because, after his stroke earlier this year, he simply cannot process auditory information correctly.

"During the debate, Fetterman frequently stumbled over words. Many of his sentences came out as a jumble of barely coherent gibberish. Tucker Carlson’s summary of the debate provides a damning overview of Fetterman’s dismal performance.

"Fetterman’s health struggles should disqualify him from holding higher office. With Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) all but reduced to eating tapioca mush and blankly staring at reruns of “Matlock,” the Senate’s quota for mentally unfit politicos has already been filled.

"Fetterman’s stroke on May 13 came just before the Democratic primary. He should have dropped out then and focused on making a full and enduring recovery. His decision (or, more likely, the decision of his handlers) to gut it out and run in the general election was wrong. Oz is as moderate a Republican as the Democrats are likely to face. Democratic leadership should have put Fetterman’s best interests before their shallow political aims and found a way to work with Oz.". . .

The Battle Over Parents’ Rights in Education Is Just Getting Started

Jay W. Richards, Ph.D., Director, DeVos Center for Life, Religion, and Family

It should come as no surprise that parents have been fighting for their rights so vociferously when it comes to public education.

Critical race theory is far less shocking than the radical gender ideology that seems to have overtaken our nation’s schools.

Universal school choice for everyone would not just make schools better and more competitive. It would make them less of an arena for the culture war.

"It should come as no surprise that parents have been fighting for their rights so vociferously when it comes to public education. They’re fighting because they sense that those rights are under attack.

"It started with the lockdowns in 2020. For the first time, many parents suddenly saw, courtesy of online conferencing apps like Zoom, what their kids were being taught. And they didn’t like it: Toxic and divisive ideas about race—disguised as lessons on slavery and racism—contradicted the belief in racial equality that most Americans—whatever their politics—shared with civil rights leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

"But critical race theory is far less shocking than the radical gender ideology that seems to have overtaken our nation’s schools. It teaches children that “some people are boys, some people are girls, some people are both, neither, or somewhere in between”’—as one popular children’s book puts it.

"Schools are promoting the notion that some kids—perhaps many kids if recent trends continue—are born in the wrong body. Suddenly, from Florida to Texas to Wyoming, parents are discovering that schools are teaching, seemingly across the curriculum, that an internal sense of gender trumps biological sex. Worse, some schools are changing, at their students’ request—but without their parents’ knowledge or consent—their students’ names and pronouns to conform to a child’s surprising new “gender identity.”

"When parents come to school board meetings to complain, far too many are met with silence or risible accusations that they are politicizing education. Parents have the primary right and responsibility to raise and teach their children.

"Many parents delegate part of the teaching task to schools, in an act of trust. Rather than acting as faithful stewards of that trust, too many schools have decided that it’s their job to alienate kids from “regressive” views of their parents.".

"Is it any wonder that this has proved controversial? We could dissipate some of the heat by increasing the rights of parents over their children’s schooling. States should connect school money to children, rather than to school buildings. Universal school choice for everyone—rich and poor, conservative and liberal—would not just make schools better and more competitive. It would make them less of an arena for the culture war that is otherwise roiling our culture.". . .

Increasing chaos engulfs CNN as its ratings hit rock bottom with no end point in sight

While CNN seems to this writer to be staffed with high school airheads, much more insidious is MSNBC. What channel sinks lower nor more venomous than Joy Reid, Joe Scarborough, Nicolle Wallace, Chris Hayes and the mostly-peaceful- but-fiery Ali Velshi, to name a few.

Peter Barry Chowka    "Big news this week in the world of left-wing mainstream cable news.  It almost gives one hope that the fake news house of cards that has ruled the roost since 2016 or earlier may be coming to a well deserved end.

"While the rest of the MSM won't admit and scarcely report it, the future of fake news leader CNN is bleak at best and possibly terminal.  Its leader during the Trump era of pioneering woke news, Jeff Zucker, was offed earlier this year.  His successor, leftist programmer Chris Licht, has produced nothing but failures.  These are now reaching critical mass as the channel's prime-time hour at 9 P.M. lacks a host while ratings for CNN's new nightly show from 10 P.M. to 12 A.M. are shockingly low, possibly the worst in the channel's entire history.  In addition, the move of leftist prime time host Don Lemon to co-hosting the channel's morning show is proving to be another looming disaster.

"The two most recent cable television ratings reports, by Nielsen Media Research, for Tuesday and Wednesday of this week are astonishing.  On Wednesday, for instance, CNN's 11 P.M. hour, CNN Tonight, hosted by Alysin Camerota and Laura Coates, had only 260,000 total viewers.  At the same time, Gutfeld! on Fox News had almost ten times as many viewers — 2.5 million.  In the advertiser-preferred demographic, viewers between the ages of 25 and 54, CNN had only 44,000 viewers versus Fox News Channel's 417,000.  The number of total viewers CNN had is approximately 0.1% of the U.S. population.

"These ratings are not anomalies but are reflective of most of the day, when Fox News had more than twice as many viewers overall as CNN and MSNBC combined.". . .
