New sheriff at the FBI

 Matt Vespa, Townhall

Mr. Patel, you have your first order of business: finding out if these allegations are true and firing those who participated if confirmed.

"The Federal Bureau of Investigation has a new sheriff in town with Kash Patel and Dan Bongino serving as its director and deputy director respectively under the second Trump presidency, but that doesn’t mean the riffraff that’s infected this agency are gone. Progress has been made to dismiss, reassign, or outright fire the problematic staffers that had turned the FBI into the Democratic Party’s police force. The latest allegation must be investigated.

"Independent reporter Michael Shellenberger said that sources told him that agents were destroying servers that contained sensitive documents relating to Jeffrey Epstein and the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

. . ."Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) is chairing the effort to release information about these state secrets, some of which include UFOs. Trump had planned on releasing documents about the JFK assassination during his first presidency but backed down" . . .

Michael Moore says deported migrants could have cured cancer, stopped ‘asteroid that’s gonna hit us in 2032’

NY Post   Or made a really expensive, liberal ice cream. TD
"By contrast, Moore has in the past condemned native-born Americans and their culture, arguing, “We are not a good people,” and that Americans have a “laundry list of evil deeds” that led to the election of President Donald Trump."

"Progressive filmmaker and activist Michael Moore on Tuesday wrote a lengthy blog post warning that by deporting illegal immigrants, America may be missing out on the next equivalent of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs or one that will save the world from a killer asteroid.

"Moore’s piece, “Our Muslim Boy Wonder,” used Jobs’ origins as the son of a Syrian migrant to critique the Trump administration’s deportation efforts.

“ 'Who’s really being removed by ICE tonight?” Moore asked. “The child who would’ve discovered the cure for cancer in 2046? The 9th grade nerd who would’ve stopped that asteroid (sic) that’s gonna hit us in 2032? Do we care?”

“ 'I am grateful for that Muslim migrant baby being born here 70 years ago today. Because if he hadn’t, it’s possible we would have none of his inventions. We would also have no TED LASSO,” he said.

"The filmmaker declared, “For every time I have heard a negative word or blatant hatred spewed toward those who came from afar, I have felt that I should pause, get down on one knee, and thank all of those who gave up their lives elsewhere to come here and be with us.”

After Joy Reid Firing, Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann Agree That MSNBC is a Hotbed of Racism

Legal Insurrection  “They’ve only had four women of color host their own shows. They’ve now fired them ALL.”

"Now that Joy Reid has been finally let go by MSNBC, some of her network colleagues and fellow travelers on the far left are reacting the only way that they seem to know how: by crying racism.

"Even Rachel Maddow, who still works for MSNBC, and Keith Olbermann, who used to work for MSNBC, are making this claim. It simply can’t be because of Reid’s horrible ratings. It has to be because of some greater failure of social justice on the part of the network that pays Maddow millions of dollars a year.

"Maddow commented on Reid’s firing during her show.

"From FOX News:

“I am 51 years old. I have been gainfully employed since I was 12. And I have had so many different kinds of jobs, you wouldn’t believe me if I told you. But in all of the jobs I have had, in all of the years I have been alive, there is no colleague for whom I have had more affection and more respect than Joy Reid,” Maddow said.

“I love everything about her. I have learned so much from her. I have so much more to learn from her,” she continued. “I do not want to lose her as a colleague here at MSNBC, and personally, I think it is a bad mistake to let her walk out the door. It is not my call, and I understand that, but that’s what I think.”

Maddow went on to call it “unnerving” for the network to cancel the shows of “two non-White hosts”

in its weekday programming as well as “The Katie Phang Show” on the weekends, noting that “The Alex Wagner Show” will no longer fill in Maddow’s 9 p.m. ET timeslot for the remainder of the week, which is instead going to “Inside with Jen Psaki.” . . .

Don Surber: MSNBC suddenly is racist   . . ."Now liberals reap what they sowed. MSNBC dared to fire her and now the network is stuck with the R-word. No, not that one; the other one. No, not that one either or that other one. The word is RACIST.

"Reid’s staff of about 30 flunkies also were canned. And Media-ite reported, “Most of Maddow’s Staff To Be Let Go Amid MSNBC Cuts: Report.”

"Not that I really care, Mister Wilson."

Can Greg Gutfeld Save New York City?

 Alicia Colon

Maybe in 2025, enough New Yorkers have swallowed the red pill and if Greg Gutfeld can give a possible savior the airtime and promotion that the GOP elite refuses to extend, New York City just might make the same great comeback that native New Yorker Donald Trump enjoyed last November.

Greg Gutfeld: This could be a 'tough break' for NBC

"Is there anyone out there who doesn’t know who Greg Gutfeld is?

"He is the host of the highest rated late night talk show on Fox News at 10:00 p.m.

"His format usually includes two guests and two regulars discussing recent current events with humor, very politically incorrect comments, and frequently blipped-out blue language.

"He is way funnier than Bill Maher was when his Politically Incorrect show aired from New York but the most important thing about Gutfeld is the size of his audience and who is watching.

"According to year-end Nielsen ratings data released by Fox News, the late-night style show hosted by Greg Gutfeld grew its nightly average to 2,500,000 total viewers, a 35% increase over last year. Among viewers aged 25-54, it was a similar story, with a nightly average of 355,000 viewers, up 33% year-over-year.

"When Donald Trump appeared on Gutfeld last summer, the show, taped on Wednesday and aired in primetime, drew 4.9 million viewers, including 744,000 viewers among adults ages 25 to 54 years old (A25-54), the key demographic most-attractive to cable news advertisers.

"Trump’s interview on Gutfeld! came days after the second attempt on his life in two months. Yet he was relaxed, very personable and quite funny.  Some viewers even  admitted that they were charmed by his appearance, and this possibly had a little to do with his landslide victory.

"So why am I hoping Gutfeld can help save my hometown from years of Democrat abuse?

"Gutfeld airs from midtown New York City and the increasing crime statistics were discussed among the guests on the show especially during the pandemic. The DOJ attacks on Trump through the TDS machinations of New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg and New York Attorney General Letitia James and the frequent release of criminals on the city’s no-bail policy were mocked hilariously." . . .

Your ‘inseminated person’ should know

Silvio Canto, Jr.

"How is the governor of Wisconsin going to explain it to his mom?  I’d love to hear how that one goes."

. . ."They are crazy up in Wisconsin, especially at the Governor’s office.  What are they smoking or putting in their coffee?  Your guess is as good as mine, but the governor is proposing a change to how we refer to “mom,” having decided that “inseminated person” is a better descriptor.  I couldn’t believe this story and had to read it twice to make sure it was true.

"On the other side, here comes Doug Schoen, a sane Democrat who probably sends his mother a card purchased in the Mother’s Day section at your favorite store, has a message for the Democrats.  This is the story:

If Democrats hope to right the ship and regain at least one chamber of Congress next year — or the White House in three — they must begin with a messaging strategy that speaks to the issues voters care about: the economy, public safety and border security.

They should start with the primary reason Trump won last November, the economy.

Trump made Americans’ economic pessimism and anger over inflation a centerpiece of his campaign, convincingly portraying Democrats as the party of elites who were out of touch with everyday Americans.

"Yes, out of touch big time because most Americans, especially the ones I know, don’t refer to their mothers as an “inseminated person.”  In fact, most of the men that I grew up with would punch you in the face if you referred to their mom in that way.

"So what’s going on?  It’s easy to say that they have not learned a thing about the election or the rejection of “woke.”  More likely they are so invested in “woke” that it will take another defeat to drive home the point that calling a woman something like that is “super loco,” as my late Cuban mother used to say.

Douglas Murray EVISCERATES Medhi Hasan In Live Debate!

“Tell Your Bosses In Qatar!”   "I agree that the worldwide protests are anti Jew. There have been no protests about the many other conflicts as Douglas mentions. Where were the self righteous flocking to the streets in support of Ukraine. Not weekly, not monthly, not even once. No cause seems worthwhile to protestors unless it is in opposition to Jews or Israel. I am not a Jew but I believe they have a right to exist, a right to a homeland and a right to be free from persecution." Comment to this video.

Like tanks? 3 things the M4 Sherman did BETTER than other tanks

"Everyone forgets one big issue. The Sherman had to fight all over the world and the American logistics system couldn't transport a bigger and heavier tank. The Germans could build a tank and then put it on one rail car and have it at the front in less than two days. The Sherman got put on a rail car, had to be lifted into a boat, taken off the boat, put on a rail car, put in another boat and then put on another rail car."

Electronick7714 posted: . . ."Last point, people forget the Sherman had to be shipped across the ocean. It's why America decided to not go with the M6/T1E1 heavy tank. It was too much of a headache for the logistics and shipping to deal with for not much game. Why ship this big complicated heavy tank when you can ship 2 or 3 Shermans, or, a Sherman and a tank destroyer/s that can carry the same 76 gun? There's no Chrysler, Ford, etc factories over the ocean, so these tanks had to be interchangeable with each other, work well, and be reliable. And that's exactly what they did. The fact it had nicer features like a secondary motor for the turret/electrical systems, more room, better ergonomics, etc was an added bonus, especially to some of the Soviet troops. (Loza fought in t-34s, Matilda, and Sherman's and he gave high praise to the latter).
"Not saying that the Sherman is perfect or any tank is perfect for that matter. They all have pros and cons that are affected by a multitude of factors. Some issues with these tanks were fixed or made better with solutions brought on from battlefield experience. Other issues came about as a result of logistics or improper usage of said tanks. It's all incredibly complicated and there's tons of factors that go into what makes a tank effective or not, but for me, I've come to greatly love the Sherman tank and it would definitely be my first choice to be in compared with other tanks of that period." . . .

M4 Sherman Tank VS Panther Tank A look at the Sherman's drive train will tell you why it was so tall.

Before She Won SAG Honor, Jane Fonda Honored Jim Jones

 The American Spectator

So many African Americans and senior citizens — who disproportionately constituted the ranks of Peoples Temple — might have lived had she used her celebrity on their behalf instead of on behalf of their captor.

"Make no mistake: empathy is not weak or woke,” Jane Fonda explained upon accepting a Lifetime Achievement award from the Screen Actors Guild this weekend. “And, by the way, woke just means you give a damn about other people.”

The 87-year-old actress told fellow members of her guild, “Community means power.”

"She learned this, or did not, the hard way half a lifetime ago.

"In 1977, after attending service at Jim Jones’s Peoples Temple in San Francisco, Fonda wrote the cult leader, “How deeply moved I was by the experience that Sunday — the atmosphere, the obvious need you have so remarkably filled in thousands of lives, how humanly, passionately, and articulately you have redefined the role of the Church, Christ, religion — I also recommit myself to your congregation as an active full participant — not only for myself, but because I want my two children to have the experience.”

"She assured Jones that “when we get back we will return to the Temple” after filming wrapped on her next movie.

"Jones cited “an Academy Award-winning actress joining our church” as one of his motivations for continuing his work.

"When reporters exposed misdeeds in the Temple, Fonda ran interference.

" 'We are familiar with the work of Reverend Jones and Peoples Temple,” Fonda, along with husband Tom Hayden, San Francisco supervisor Harvey Milk, California assemblyman Willie Brown, and other left-wingers, wrote in a public statement in 1977, “and have no hesitancy in commending them for their example in setting a high standard of ethics and morality in the community and also for providing enormous material assistance to poor, minority and disadvantaged people in every area of human need.”

"And those “poor, minority and disadvantaged people” looked at the rich, often white, advantaged people supporting the Temple as a reason to stay in it and as evidence of Jim Jones’s power should they ever think about getting out of it.

"Jones eventually grew frustrated with Fonda and denounced her as a “sellout.” Fonda never, at least in public, returned the favor by expressing frustration with Jones and denouncing him during his life.

"I detailed the Bay Area left’s love affair with this mass murderer in . Fonda’s admirers act — and deserve awards for the acting — as though these inconvenient truths never occurred. But they did. And Fonda refuses to own up to this dark, horrific portion of her past." . . .

Hamas Official Has Regrets: Would Not Have Supported October 7 Had He Known Outcome

Breitbart

"It is not clear whether his statements were an effort to relieve pressure on Hamas, or whether he was truly taking a different line from the terror organization as a whole."

"A senior Hamas official told the New York Times last week that he would not have supported the October 7, 2023, terror attack against Israel if he had known the outcome — the destruction of Hamas and the devastation of Gaza.

"The Times reported Monday:

Mousa Abu Marzouk, the Qatar-based head of Hamas’s foreign relations office, said in an interview with The New York Times that he would not have supported the attack if he had known of the havoc it would wreak on Gaza. Knowing of the consequences, he said, would have made it “impossible” for him to back the assault.

Mr. Abu Marzouk said that Hamas’s survival in the war against Israel was itself a “kind of victory.” He also likened Hamas to an average person fighting Mike Tyson, the former heavyweight boxing champion: if the untrained novice survived Mr. Tyson’s punches, people would say he was victorious, he said.

"In absolute terms, he said it would be “unacceptable” to claim Hamas won, especially considering the scale of what Israel inflicted on Gaza.

"The Times of Israel noted that Hamas was quick to disavow Abu Marzouk’s comments. Still, his candor suggests that the group understands that it has been defeated."

'F*****g Terrible': Donors Desert Disastrous Dems

 Hot Air

"Kamala Harris lost for the same reason Kamala Harris dropped out of the Democrat primary in 2019. The more she talks, the more her incompetence gets exposed. Or does Capehart think that Harris was forced to drop out in 2019 because Democrats are racists and misogynists?"

"You mean electing David Hogg as Vice Chair didn't instill a sense of renewed confidence in Democrat Party donors? Changing the election rules in the middle of the event because DNC members hadn't elected a "non-binary" board member didn't convince them of the party's seriousness? Go figure
"Democrats are now in the midst of losing another election -- because their donors have begun voting with their feet. Just as Donald Trump and Elon Musk are cutting off the NGO archipelago to their political allies, big-ticket donors are closing their wallets:
"Several Democrat donors said this week that they have paused their donations to the party because of how weak and ineffective it has become in the wake of President Donald Trump’s return to office.
“I’ll be blunt here: The Democratic Party is f***ing terrible. Plain and simple,” a major Democrat donor told The Hill. “In fact, it doesn’t get much worse.” ...
A second donor told the publication that they were equally as turned off about the party.
“They want us to spend money, and for what? For no message, no organization, no forward thinking,” the donor said. “The thing that’s clear to a lot of us is that the party never really learned its lesson in 2016. They worked off the same playbook and the same ineffective strategies and to what end?”

"In fairness, they did win a couple of elections in between with the same tired playbook and ineffective strategies. Democrats won big in 2018 largely over the Russia-collusion hoax, and then won in 2020 in reaction to the pandemic chaos. But in neither case did they take any real lessons about the populist turn of the general electorate, nor have they since. . . .

Obama Judge Who Blocked Trump’s ICE Raids is Married to Far-Left Open Borders Activist Funded By George Soros

 The Gateway Pundit

"The Obama judge who blocked the Trump administration's ICE raids is the husband of a far-left open borders activist.
"On Monday, U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang ruled in favor of a lawsuit filed by left-wing activists seeking to prohibit ICE from conducting raids in churches where many illegal aliens hide from authorities.
" 'The substantial burden that the [Trump administration] policy is far from speculative and is already occurring,” Chuang wrote in his ruling.
" 'It is reasonable to expect that such enforcement actions will occur at Plaintiffs’ place of worship where DHS specifically stated in its press release announcing the 2025 policy that ‘criminals will no longer be able to hide in America’s schools and churches to avoid arrest,’” he continued.
"Natalie Winters, a co-host of Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast, did some digging and revealed that Chuang’s wife, Jacinta Ma, is the Vice President of National Immigration Forum (NIF), a pro-open borders advocacy group.
"The organization promotes policies such as a mass amnesty for illegal aliens and works on putting out propaganda about the supposedly massive contributions made by illegal aliens to the U.S. economy.
"The group’s largest donor is the Open Society Foundations, which is funded by the liberal billionaire George Soros." . . .  More...

Tech guru admired by Elon Musk estimates ‘over $100 billion’ in taxpayer money is being wasted or stolen

 NY Post
The tech expert — who goes by “DataRepublican” on X — has received threats since Elon Musk started highlighting her work.“The numbers don’t lie,” the data expert added. “And look, they don’t always say what I want to hear. But they do tell me the truth.”

"A data scientist with ties to DOGE chief Elon Musk declared Monday that she believes “over $100 billion” in taxpayer money is being wasted or stolen by federal employees at government agencies.

The tech expert is using artificial intelligence to expose cases of government waste, fraud and abuse and goes by “DataRepublican” on X, where her posts are regularly shared by the billionaire Tesla and SpaceX founder.

“Whew,” the woman, who is deaf, said through an interpreter when asked by NewsNation’s Brian Entin about how much federal cash she believes is being wasted or stolen based on her efforts poring over public databases.

“If I had to guess, I would say it is over $100 billion,” she said. “But what is more important is what they are doing with that money.” . . .

“I cannot tell you enough how much both [Republicans and Democrats] are involved,” she said. “It is everywhere.”

"Musk’s DOGE initiative, which aims to cut at least $1 trillion in federal spending, claims it has already saved taxpayers about $55 billion by slashing government grants, finding lost money, downsizing federal agencies and laying off thousands of government workers."
