The Democrats Who Call Trump Nazi And The Reporters Who Don’t Confront Them

The Lid Blog

"What is it with those Trump-hating politicians? If they disagree with a Trump policy, say so and explain why. Why do they insist on cheapening the memory of the six million Jews who died in the Holocaust, those who survived the Holocaust torture, and the Jews who mourn the victims’ pain every day?" . . .

"I have no issue with politicians who say they disagree with a policy of President Trump or are supported by MAGA  voters. That’s the way of American politics. But the allegations directed toward the President and his supporters about being Hitler or Nazis are not an appropriate political position and, quite frankly, make me physically ill. ANY politician of any party who uses the Holocaust to make a political point has no idea of the Holocaust horrors, doesn’t care about the torture performed by the Nazia, or is incapable of understanding the abominations at concentration camps.

"The majority of recent inappropriate use of the Holocaust comes from the Democratic Party and is directed toward the President, his supporters, or Republicans in general. To a much lesser extent, there are Republicans guilty of making similar charges against Democratic Party leadership. But just as guilty as the politicians are the reporters who do not do their jobs by questioning the politicians about their offensive statements." . . .

. . ."If the reporters covering the story don’t ask the politician why they believe that about the President and his supporters, send a letter asking the below to the politician and one asking the reporter why they let the politician off the hook and didn’t ask questions like the below:" . . .

My wife’s aunt was sent to Auschwitz; they forced her to tattoo like the one below on her arm. Does Trump force people to tattoo numbers on their arms? If he doesn’t, he can’t be Hitler or a Nazi. Ask a reporter what they think. . . .

The Nazis killed Jews, buried them in mass graves, or cremated their bodies. When a Democrat compares Trump or his supporters to Hitler, was it because of a belief that Trump does something like that? What did the politician say when the reporter asked about it? That’s right; only a professional journalist would answer that question.

. . ." Do Trump supporters or other Republicans do Mengele-like torture.? If they don’t, how can they be Nazis? Right Reporters? You didn’t ask. Never mind"

Sympathy for the Devil? CNN Ridiculed for Solicitous Interview with Sinaloa Cartel Member

 Legal Insurrection

"Does CNN believe that Sinaloa is being mistreated by the American president? Are they trying to make them sympathetic figures who are just misunderstood? Sell crazy somewhere else CNN. We’ve got more than enough crazy here already."

CNN reporter Isabel Yeung traveled to Sinaloa, Mexico, on Saturday to interview a member of the Sinaloa Cartel. It didn’t go quite as well as she had hoped. The gang member, involved in fentanyl production, unexpectedly expressed his respect for President Donald Trump.

For obvious reasons, the gang member wore a face mask, sunglasses, a baseball cap, and even a pair of gloves. The network used a voice changer and agreed not to disclose his exact location.

“How safe or dangerous is this area to be in?” Yeung asked.

“Right now, all areas are dangerous.”

“According to the Trump Administration, you are a terrorist. The cartels have been labeled a foreign terrorist organization,” she noted. “What do you make of that?”

“Well, the situation is ugly. But we have to eat.”

“What is your message to Donald Trump – if he’s watching this?” Yeung asked.

“My respect,” the man said.

"He continued, “According to him, he’s looking out for his people. But the problem is that the consumers are [in the United States]. If there weren’t any consumers, we would stop.”

" 'There is a lot of violence playing out on these streets here at the moment, every day. Right? I mean people are dying on a daily basis. Children are afraid to go to school. Do you have any sense of remorse over your role and your involvement in this group?” she asked.

"Of course,” he answered. “Things are sad, but .. well .. things are sad.” . . .

Trump’s plan for Alcatraz is absolute genius

 Andrea Widburg

". . .For all these reasons, I couldn’t be more delighted with Trump’s plan, which really illustrates his and his team’s ability to think out of the box, use available resources wisely, and make leftists crazy."

Truth Social

. . ."There are a few points to be made.

"First, as a practical matter, if anyone can do this on time and under cost, Trump is the man. He is still remembered for returning New York City’s Wollman Rink to operation after the city had fiddled around for six years and spent over $13 million to get nowhere at all. The city estimated that another $2-3 million and at least one year would be required to finish the project. It’s unlikely the city would have met either of these metrics.

"Trump offered to renovate the site at his own expense and to have it done in six months. In fact, he completed it in four months, at a cost of around $750,000 (including city funding). The city “thanked” Trump over two decades later by canceling the Trump Organization’s concession contracts to punish him for the imaginary January 6 “insurrection.”

"Donald Trump knows how to manage construction projects, and he knows people who can be his point men on the project when he’s not able to keep his hand on the till.

"Second, and this is the more wonderful point, is that the updated, high-level prison, one presumably rich in criminal illegal alien inmates, will be smack dab in the heart of one of the most leftist neighborhoods in America. Every time the San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, and Marin County leftists, all of whom despise Trump, look into the beautiful San Francisco Bay, they will be visually assaulted by something they made possible when they closed the door to El Salvador’s prisons." . . .

Beautiful Clothes Hide Ugly Souls at the Met Gala

 The American Spectator

"Wintour, who put Jill Biden, Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, and Michelle Obama on the cover of Vogue but blocked First Lady Melania Trump despite her appearance in the magazine as an actual model years earlier, holds grudges."

Vogue

"How does it feel to be one of the beautiful people?
"An ugly soul oversaw the collection of pretty people last night at the Met Gala in Manhattan
"Diana Ross wore a train larger than a train, Sabrina Carpenter attracted stares in a pantless brown bodysuit with tails, surprise guest Kamala Harris looked like a half-moon cookie in her black-and-white outfit, and Emma Chamberlain stunned in a pinstriped suit repurposed as a dress.
"Though themed as “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” the event lacked arguably the fashion industry’s most famous black model, Naomi Campbell. Whoopi Goldberg invited the president of the United States to “let him try to get rid of us” while speaking on the red carpet. Colin Kaepernick, who last played a down in the NFL more than eight years ago, was there. Campbell was not.
Trendencias

"Some reports claimed that Anna Wintour issued a ban on Campbell after a tiff last year in which the former insulted the latter (and the latter responded in kind) despite presenting her for an honor. Campbell later clarified that she was invited but just could not make it. Hmmm.
"Wintour, who put Jill Biden, Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, and Michelle Obama on the cover of Vogue but blocked First Lady Melania Trump despite her appearance in the magazine as an actual model years earlier, holds grudges. Her portrayal as a small, petty woman in the roman à clef transformed into the movie The Devil Wears Prada reflects her nasty reputation.
"Whether or not she rolled out the unwelcome mat for Campbell — at an event celebrating African-American fashion, no less — seems up for debate. Wintour openly boasted of a ban on Donald Trump, long ago a perennial attendee of the event, once he became president in 2017. Tim Gunn, a major figure in the world of fashion design, similarly became persona non grata. When asked about the most incredible sight he has seen in his years in fashion, Gunn answered, “watching Anna Wintour being carried down five flights of stairs by two bodyguards — two big hulking men — from a fashion show.”
"This removed him from the guest list." . . .

Memo to Mangione: Read the Unabomber Obituaries. Not the Manifesto.

 The American Spectator

"He was motivated by a desire to kill, not change the world." This is the man whose manifesto Mangione finds “prescient.” But really, the manifesto is a hater’s rant, a conceit to dress up the desire to kill other people and cause pain."

Didn't we see these same women at a pro-Hamas rally? If you love (present tense) George Floyd, Hamas, and Antifa, it stands to reason you will love this murderer. TD

Meet the Women Supporting Luigi Mangione in Court

"WASHINGTON — I’ve been having flashbacks about Unabomber Ted Kaczynski, who killed three innocent people and wounded 23 during a 17-year killing spree. In 1998, Kaczynski pleaded guilty and agreed to a sentence of life without parole. He killed himself in 2023.

"It turns out Luigi Mangione, who stands accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson last year by shooting him in the back on a New York City sidewalk, is a fan of Kaczynski. Mangione, who has pleaded not guilty to a federal murder charge as well as stalking charges, is expected to go to trial next year. (RELATED: Luigi Mangione’s Cognitive Dissonance)

"Mangione, 26, gave a four-star review to the Unabomber’s 35,000-word manifesto, “Industrial Society and Its Future.”

" 'It’s easy to quickly and thoughtless write this off as the manifesto of a lunatic, in order to avoid facing some of the uncomfortable problems it identifies. But it’s simply impossible to ignore how prescient many of his predictions about modern society turned out,” Mangione wrote on Goodreads.

" 'He was a violent individual — rightfully imprisoned — who maimed innocent people,” Mangione added. “While these actions tend to be characterized as those of a crazy luddite, however, they are more accurately seen as those of an extreme political revolutionary.”

"Apparently, Mangione sees himself as a fellow big thinker.

"The Unabomber story is personal for me.

"Kaczynski murdered Gilbert Murray, president of the California Forestry Association, and the colleague of a friend. The bomb that killed Murray in 1995 had been sitting on a receptionist’s desk before the timber lobbyist carried the package into his office.

"Also, when I was a columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle, the FBI went through my reader hate mail in the hope that the Unabomber might have written to me. As far as I know, he did not.

"At the time, investigators were convinced that the serial killer lived near the Bay Area — not Montana, where he was living. But Kaczynski had lived in the Bay Area when he was a tenure-track mathematics professor at UC-Berkeley." . . .

Up next: the deregulation of America

 Don Surber

"So I flew in here to Phoenix from Flagstaff because my manager doesn’t own a globe. He chartered one of those small private jets. I flew here on a plane this big, it was like a pack of gum with eight people in it. We were putzing along. We were going half the speed of *smell!* We got passed by a kite! There was a goose behind us and the pilot was yelling “Go around!” So about halfway through the trip, we start losing oil pressure in one of the engines, and the pilot says we have to turn around." Ron White, alias Tater.

. . ."And so it goes with government at half the speed of smell.
Until now.
"President Trump has been a whirlwind as he is shutting down the border, slapping down DEI, laying off 200,000-plus federal employees (7% of the work force) and shutting down useless agencies. His first 100 days—FDR’s gimmick to get good press—were the most productive of any president. You can look it up.
"Only Lincoln had to do more because he faced a Democrat Party so corrupt that it started a civil war rather than work with him. You think Crazy Judge Jimmah Boasberg is bad, try engaging in a real battle against General Lee.
"Rasmussen has Trump’s job approval at 50%. All the rest of the polls don’t. That’s because they are psyops meant to cheer up those who oppose Making America Great Again and to discourage those who say it loud, they’re American and proud.
"Consider the election polls........
"The word salad tosser was never ahead in the race, which Trump won by TWO points, just as Rasmussen said it would.
" 'President Trump is doing the impossible quickly. Everyone thought that you cannot fire Civil Service-protected employees. Well, you cannot fire them simply because they are Democrat. But all of Washington just discovered Trump can furlough employees and eliminate jobs.
"Democrats are angry over his tariffs and say he has too much power. Well, who gave him the power to unilaterally impose tariffs? Congress.
"Trump’s border battle has resulted in the president of Mexico standing against foreigners coming into her country. Trump had offered to send troops to help Mexico root out drug cartels.
"Whatshername told reporters, “And you know what I told him? No, President Trump, the territory is sacrosanct, sovereignty is sacrosanct, sovereignty is not for sale, sovereignty is loved and defended.”
"Which is exactly what he is doing.
"His speed has spoiled some supporters, who are whining that Pam Bondi is not indicting, convicting and imprisoning the crooks in DC. But justice works at the speed of smell.

"As does reform." . . .

Israel to call up thousands of reservists, considers expanding mission to decimate Hamas

Let the useful idiots around campus scream.

 Jewish World Review

"The more Hamas refuses to release the hostages, the more territory it will lose - territory that will be annexed to Israel."

"This time the Jewish State is finally playing to win!"

"TEL AVIV — Israel will call up tens of thousands of reservists, military officials said Sunday, as the country's political leadership considers expanding the Israel Defense Forces' area of operations and overhauling the distribution of food within the Gaza Strip. Israel's security cabinet was expected to approve the new Gaza war plans at a meeting Sunday evening, according to an Israeli official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe sensitive discussions.

"Since March 18, the Israeli military has dramatically altered the map of the enclave, declaring about 70 percent of it either a military "red zone" or under evacuation orders, by a U.N. assessment, and pushing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians into ever-shrinking pockets.

"The expanded operations now being discussed involve seizing and occupying more territory in Gaza, which will require more ground troops, according to a former Israeli military official with knowledge of the plans, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal planning.

"The plans stop short of the complete military occupation of Gaza that the IDF has weighed, the official said. Implementing such an occupation is considered difficult, but not impossible, given the staffing levels required, the official said.

" 'We are issuing tens of thousands of reserve call-up orders to intensify and expand the operation in Gaza - increasing the pressure with the goal of bringing our people home and defeating Hamas," Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, the IDF chief of staff, said in a speech Sunday at a naval commando base. "We will operate in additional areas and destroy all infrastructure - above and below ground."

"Hamas-led fighters streamed out of Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023, to attack communities in southern Israel. They killed 1,200 people, most of them civilians, and took another 250 back to the enclave as hostages." . . .

Remember this? Chris Cuomo After Watching Footage Of October 7 Hamas Massacre: “They enjoyed mutilating”

Video: Author and journalist Douglas Murray highlights the disturbing truth that, instead of standing with the innocent victims of Hamas’s massacre at the Nova Festival in southern Israel on October 7, 2023, some have shamefully chosen to attack them.

Newsom Hits The Gas

 Issues & Insights

"Seems California voters who have given nearly unchecked power to Democrats for about two decades are getting it good and hard. Newsom is trying to unwind some of the damage, primarily because he’s lusting after the White House, but the briar patch of regulations will make it a difficult task."

"It wasn’t long ago that a California governor made it clear that oil refineries were not welcome in his state. Then another California governor asked regulators to loosen the chains on refineries to ensure that they will be profitable and remain in the state that every day burns an enormous volume of gasoline.

"Actually, it is the same governor, one who has turned his attention from playing to his hard-left, blue-state constituency to shifting toward the middle for a 2028 White House run.

"It was just last summer when Gov. Gavin Newsom announced a “plan to prevent Big Oil ‘profit spikes’” that would also “save Californians money at the pump.” He groused about refiners “playing games to earn even more profits” and vowed to force them to “act responsibly.”

"Two months later, he signed a bill that is intended to limit “higher profits for the industry.” Within hours, Phillips 66 said that it was closing its Los Angeles refinery complex.“Without actually using the words, the company is saying there’s no reason to stick around and be abused,” the Pacific Research Institute said last fall.

"Then, earlier this year, PRI pointed out that “California is literally running out of oil refineries.”

“ 'Phillips 66 announced it was closing its Los Angeles refinery complex in 2025. It will be the fourth refinery shut down in the state since 2020. At that point, there will be only a dozen refineries left to produce the 38 million gallons of California’s boutique blend – which is not made anywhere else, costs more than conventional gasoline, and requires oil companies to invest billions to upgrade their systems to make – that’s consumed daily.”

"Or it could be only 14. Valero is likely to close its California refinery next year.

"Mission accomplished. Then the mission changed. Now, Newsom is asking regulators to do what they can to keep oil refineries open." . . .

Common Sense Is Highly Contagious — Except Among Dems

 Issues & Insights

Democrats are even touting incomparably dense and unqualified Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who is currently abusing taxpayer money to join the mysteriously rich socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders on a “fight the oligarchy” tour, as their next presidential candidate.

"At a town hall meeting last week, Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez — one of the few moderate Democrats left in the world — made a perfectly common-sensical statement: “Americans believe that only U.S. citizens should be determining the outcome of American elections.”

"She was greeted with a torrent shouts, boos, and profanity, signs that said “shame” from her constituents, and was ushered out of room for “security reasons.”

"After President Donald Trump called for a “revolution of common sense,” it spread like a virus – except among Democrats, who appear to have a natural immunity.

"Trump has been implementing his common-sense agenda at a breakneck speed, whether it’s restoring order at the border, protecting taxpayers from waste and fraud, insisting that foreign policy focus on what’s best for the U.S., dispensing with DEI, transgenderism, and other leftist projects that defy common sense, protecting parental rights.

"The most important thing Trump has done, however, has been to make it safe again for everyday Americans to express common-sense views.

"That illegal immigrants should be sent back to their home countries. That borders should be secure and streets safe. That it’s OK to buy reliable, affordable gas cars. That vast amounts of government spending is wasteful. That there are only two genders. That discrimination is never acceptable, no matter how you dress it up. That companies should focus on serving consumers, not anti-capitalist zealots. That violence for political ends is never justified.

"Major corporations are rejecting DEI, now that it’s safe to admit what they knew all along – that it increased strife among workers, alienated customers, and didn’t help their bottom lines. Likewise, corporations are abandoning the uber-woke “environment, social, governance” investment ideology for the same reason.

"Female athletes increasingly feel empowered to reject the dangerously misguided idea that they should have to compete against men suffering gender dysphoria.

"Even Hollywood seems to be catching the common-sense bug." . .  .

Rep. Elise Stefanik tells Post she’s in ‘strongest position’ to defeat NY Gov. Kathy Hochul as she mulls 2026 run

NY Post

Stefanik also singled out former Gov. Andrew Cuomo — the clear leader in the New York City Democratic mayoral primary — and said she would immediately roll back the law allowing non-citizens to obtain drivers’ licenses, as well as lefty bail reforms, adding that Hochul “doubled down” on the worst decisions made by her predecessor.

"Rep. Elise Stefanik believes she’s “in the strongest position to defeat” Gov. Hochul and become the first Republican leader of New York state in nearly 20 years, as she inches closer to a 2026 challenge.

:In an exclusive interview with The Post, Stefanik (R-NY) confidently rattled off several “Day 1” priorities for a potential term — tax, education, crime, immigration and energy — before taking a shot at the unpopular liberal governor.

" 'Unlike Kathy Hochul, who was defeated after one term in Congress, we have a record of winning — not just Republicans but winning independents and a fair percentage of Democrats,” she sniped" . . .

. . ."Asked what her platform would look like, the “born and bred” upstate New Yorker ripped several of Hochul’s policies — including her recent refusal to fully ban masks worn by anti-Israel demonstrators who have harassed Jewish New Yorkers.

" 'This is an area where Hochul has absolutely failed. Albany and New York Democrats have failed to protect Jewish citizens, not just Jewish students, but Jewish families across this state,” she said, noting how Harvard University President Claudine Gay was forced to resign after telling Congress that calls for the genocide of Jews were permissible on her campus — depending on the “context.”

“Kathy Hochul and Democrats, they have refused to condemn, they have refused to institute policies and actually ensure that we have rule of law and protection for Jewish individuals, and they’ve refused to condemn antisemitism,” she added." . . .

Democrats were Roosevelt, Truman and JFK; now they are AOC, Maxine Waters, Crockett and Tim Walz

“Californians are realizing that the @CA_Dem left them and sanity behind. You’re not alone. Choosing law and order, freedom, and common sense is the right move!”  Sheriff Alex Villanueva

Murder, they wrote? Democrats try to incite violence in another 'summer of love'

..."Meanwhile, Minnesota Democrats killed an amendment to a crime and public safety bill that would have required law enforcement agencies to report illegal aliens to ICE when they are arrested for a violent crime. In doing so, they ignored the desperate and pitiful pleas of a man whose mother was brutally murdered and beheaded by an illegal alien on the streets of a Minneapolis suburb in the middle of the afternoon."...

Former L.A. County Sheriff Ditches Democrat Party: ‘Joining the Party of Faith, Family, and Freedom’   "Former Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva revealed that he was leaving the Democrat Party, after being a registered Democrat for more than 40 years, and joining the Republican Party.

“As of today, I’m leaving the party of paid protests, purple hair, and pronouns, and joining the party of faith, family, and freedom,” Villanueva said in a video posted to X.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Villanueva refused to enforce a directive to close beaches over the Fourth of July weekend. In July 2021, Villanueva also stated that he would not use the department’s “limited resources” to enforce a mask mandate, noting that it was “not backed by science.”

“Forcing the vaccinated and those who already contracted COVID-19 to wear masks indoors is not backed by science and contradicts the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines,” Villanueva wrote at the time.

Why these Democrats are defecting to the Republican Party | Vox

"Each of the state lawmakers have their individual reasons. West Virginia Republican Party chair Elgine McArdle said in a statement that Pritt had realized that the “Democratic Party of today is not the Democratic Party that our parents grew up with.” Cotham said that she was bullied by her Democratic colleagues and that the Republican Party is a better fit for her values, even though she’s previously sided with Democrats on many of the most divisive issues, including abortion rights and LGBTQ rights. Thompson said that he’s felt pushed out of the Democratic Party because its stance on certain issues is incompatible with his religious views. LaCombe did not offer up his own reasoning."

The Democratic Party has a man problem - Washington Examiner

"Explanations are aplenty for the Democratic Party’s precipitous decline in popularity. Many on the Left have blamed “messaging,” conveniently enough, as if their deeply unpopular ideas would suddenly turn popular if they were “messaged” correctly. Others have criticized the party’s lack of commitment to its core ideas — or to any ideas at all. Still more have accused the party of being overly committed to too many preposterous ideas of the cultural variety." 2/25
