Grinding Down The Great Green Grift

Issues & Insights

"Washington will always be corrupt, and the green charlatanry will be around as long as the money flows freely. We know Donald Trump can’t end it, but he can at least put a stop to it for now and leave his own “bomb” to make it more difficult to chisel taxpayers in the future."

"For Democrats, green policies are a blunt object to be used for taking down capitalism and controlling the economy. They are also a magnificent vehicle for graft. It’s encouraging to see the Trump administration cracking down on the latter.

"As his last days in the White House were nearing, Joe Biden, or whoever controlled his autopen, handed out $100 billion in loans and other financial commitments to bolster what’s been called the “Green New Deal wish list.” The funds were dispersed by the Energy Department’s Loan Programs Office in the 76 days after Kamala Harris lost the election. To understand how extraordinary and suspicious this was, that same office distributed a little more than $40 billion in its first 15 years of existence, says Energy Secretary Christopher Wright.

“If those were great ideas that were a benefit to America, why didn’t they do it in the two-and-one-half years after the Inflation Reduction Act was passed?” Wright asked last week on a Fox Business segment with Maria Bartiromo. “Why did they wait until they lost the election? They changed terms and loan covenants. They basically tried to set bombs to make it hard for us to unwind the mess they created.”

"The answer, which Wright knows, is that it was an act of sabotage but primarily a grift. Democrats are well seasoned in doling out taxpayers’ money to favored groups. There’s no need to think back any further than a couple of months ago when the new administration began to root out the racket known as the U.S. Agency for International Development, which has propped up the Democratic political machine and has the appearance of a criminal organization." . . .

James Comey’s anti-Trump derangement just hit a new low with dangerous post

NY Post

Former FBI Director James Comey’s anti-Trump derangement just hit a new #resistance-theater low with his post of a photograph of shells arranged to spell out “8647.” Short for: Kill the 47th president, Donald Trump.

Look closely.

"The former head of the nation’s top law enforcement agency, which absolutely deals with political violence and threats, arranges a bunch of shells on the beach into a call for killing a president he doesn’t like, pretends he just “found them there” — and then claims he had no idea what the whole thing was about.

"It’s astonishing that someone capable of such a bizarre, transparent stunt ever managed to become an entry-level FBI hand, let alone the bureau’s head

"Then again, Comey’s bumbling goes back to the lapdog “investigation” of Hillary Clinton’s national security-defying email follies through falling for (or cynically selling) the RussiaGate hoax.

"So maybe Comey’s trademark arrogance and narcissism made something like this to be expected.

"Most likely, he pulled this stunt to drum up publicity for his soon-to-be-published thriller “FDR Drive” (which, with characteristic obliviousness, takes as its subject a crusading attorney fighting to criminalize speech).

"Or maybe he genuinely meant it as some real, if clumsy, declaration of … “resistance” or something, before he realized just how dumb it was.

"That is, he only belatedly thought to imagine the hysteria if, during the Obama years, a prominent foe of the president had posted “8644” after that had become a far-right meme.

"Such a failure to consider the obvious would be classic Jim Comey." . . .

Joe Biden was not a decent man, nor was he a public servant

"If honesty remains the best policy, then Joe Biden, cancer-stricken or not, was not a decent public servant.  Indecency better describes his character, the rest is up to God." Yet with squinted eyes and clenched teeth, Joe snarled Trump needed "decency"..."decency". TD

Joe Biden was not a decent man, nor was he a public servant

. . . "I’m sorry, but the seared image of his grossly contorted face so often displayed in public is not the outward reflection of a decent person, but of a conflicted soul.  Tip O’Neill, a frenemy of Reagan, may have been decent.  But Joe Biden is no Tip.

"I wish not to speak ill of the ill, but let’s not forget that Biden wasn’t originally a wealthy man.  Indeed, he parlayed his “common roots” image for political gain.  Yet, while a public servant, he became wealthy beyond his salary means. I think we all know why, and how, so no point in repeating that.  Servant?  Give me a break!  I know he’s got cancer (what is he, about 82 years old, for goodness’ sake?), but that doesn’t detract from the fact that he was a public cadger." . . .

"Which [prompts] the obvious question: Are we really supposed to believe that Biden, while in office, wasn’t being routinely screened for this? Come on. Not giving him a cognitive exam because they knew he’d flunk it is one thing; not screening him for something he was obviously at high risk for?"

Biden's long history of corruption:

Joe Biden’s own past lucrative financial dealings with suspect Chinese interests, with connections to the ruling Chinese Communist Party, cast a shadow over current American foreign policy itself.

Did those who missed Biden's dementia also miss his cancer? Joe Biden Diagnosed With ‘Aggressive’ Prostate Cancer

Daily Caller  "Former President Joe Biden received a diagnosis of prostate cancer on Friday, according to a Sunday announcement by his personal office.

"The statement characterizes the cancer Biden has as “a more aggressive form of the disease” that has metastasized to the bone, but the statement adds that it can be effectively managed. The diagnosis follows renewed scrutiny on Biden’s physical and mental decline, along with its cover-up, ahead of the release of a book on the subject titled “Original Sin” by CNN anchor Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson. (RELATED: After Democratic Panic, Harris Lines Up Softball Interview Tour)

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” the statement reads. “While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management. The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

"A Gleason score of nine indicates high-grade cancer, meaning that the tumor is more likely to spread aggressively, according to Mount Sinai. A lower Gleason score would indicate that the cancer does not grow as quickly and is less likely to spread elsewhere.

"Since leaving office in January, Biden has delivered one major public speech and participated in interviews with “The View” and BBC. In his May 8 appearance on “The View,” he denied reports that he experienced cognitive decline during his presidency.

"After Biden’s son Beau passed away from brain cancer in 2015, he decided not to run for president in 2016 before running again and securing the White House in 2020. Excerpts from “Original Sin” and other revelations about the Biden presidency indicate that the former president was in declining physical and mental condition throughout his term, and that the extent of his decline was no longer deniable after his poor performance in the June 2024 debate against President Donald Trump.

"Trump issued a statement on Truth Social shortly after news of Biden’s diagnosis broke on Sunday."

“Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis,” Trump wrote. “We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”

Here’s What Would Happen If The Trump Administration Used The Comey Standard Against Comey

The Federalist   "Comey’s latest post would no doubt be pursued as incitement to violence — something Comey himself would seem to advocate were he not the subject of investigation."

Ian Macfarlane

"James Comey dog-whistling his desire for President Donald Trump to be assassinated via a now-infamous “86 47” social media post — only to play dumb after well-deserved backlash — is a final befitting act by the disgraced former FBI director in his long-running campaign to destroy the president. Justice demands he answer for this outrageous act, particularly because the holier-than-thou G-man has to date completely skirted justice.

"Indeed, Comey, among those most responsible for eviscerating the rule of law and undermining our republic over the last decade, has evaded any accountability for his sordid and malevolent conduct — besides being fired during the Trump I administration. Yet consider the parade of horribles for which Comey bears culpability.

"The Russiagate hoax originated and festered under Comey’s leadership. Comey briefed the incoming president on the wholly uncorroborated Steele dossier days before his first inauguration — a briefing whose leak triggered the media to report on the garbage oppo research package. This in turn undermined the incoming administration and helped foment the Trump-Russia collusion narrative. The FBI would of course use the dubious dossier to justify the unjustifiable spying on the Trump campaign through Carter Page, via a civil rights-obliterating FISA warrant that Comey and his comrades zealously pursued.

"Comey also orchestrated the brazen ambush interview of National Security Advisor Michael Flynn in a bid to set a perjury trap that would lead to his demise and destabilize the administration. Flynn was poised to radically restructure the deep state. That’s one of the reasons why he was among its first targets in the Trump administration.

"Instead of being able to help the president root out the rot and corruption and reorient the national security and intelligence apparatus toward America’s national interest, Flynn ended up having his career destroyed, his reputation tarnished, and his finances ruined — despite having committed no crime. He underwent a devastating sham trial before a judge who, botching the facts of the case, slandered the storied terrorist-hunting Flynn as a traitor, and has never received restitution for this ordeal.

"Comey delivered public testimony to Congress discrediting President Trump months into his presidency by claiming he was under investigation as part of the Trump-Russia collusion “probe” Comey’s FBI cooked up, while privately reassuring the president he was not a target of investigation." . . .

Want to Understand the Modern Democrat Party? Look no Further than Apocalyptic Cults

The demise of every single apocalyptic cult is built into the very fabric of the cult itself.  Until the Democrats can become a dynamic political party rather than a stagnant apocalyptic cult they will continue to self-destruct.

"Apocalyptic cults provide a window on some amazing complex group dynamics. First, of course is the "apocalyptic" part. This is what they are best known for -- the world is going to end next Tuesday or the aliens will be arriving the first of the month to take the chosen to space heaven, or a hundred other crazed ideas.

"The cults preach that the only way to “escape this impending doom is by joining the group, adhering to its leader's teachings, and following its prescribed rituals.”

"For the Democrat party, the most recent apocalyptic tale is of course the horrors of climate change. A few decades ago, it was the world was going to end in an overpopulated gigantic snowball and now it has gone 180° and the world is going to end in an underpopulated boiling desert.

"Trump is like the gift that keeps giving in this area. Everything Trump does -- or even considers -- is a coming apocalypse that must be fought to save us all.

"But regardless of the current impending doom, the Democrat party is the only solution to stave off the end of everything. Power, money, freedom, your children -- all must be granted to the government to save us.

"As a side note, notice how it is always implicitly assumed they will be running this government for all time? I guess this is their not-so-subtle message that if they aren’t, the apocalypse will come and get us all. So vote D forever! At least if you want to live.

"One of the most incredible features of apocalyptic cults is what happens to them when their prediction of doom -- or aliens -- doesn’t happen. When the world doesn’t end next Tuesday."...

Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy Calls on Schumer, Jeffries to Resign for Their Roles in Biden Cover-Up  "Joe Biden's decline has gotten even more focus first with the new book from Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, "Original Sin," and now with Thompson's release of some of the audio from Special Counsel Robert Hur's interview of Biden.

"We had previously seen a transcript of the interview. But the audio makes it so much worse. You hear his halting, confused responses, how he couldn't even remember when his son died, and that he had confusion about even when President Donald Trump became president the first time.

"Biden was even confused about the classified material they were grilling him over. His attorney had to intervene to attempt a clean-up of one of his answers. He also wandered off into talking about weird, unrelated subjects like technology and Mongolia during the interview.

Now, former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy excoriated Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) for saying they were "looking forward."  . . .

Man Who Turned World Into Dumpster Fire And Covered Up Biden's Senility Says Trump Sucks at Diplomacy

 David Strom

"If you want to set the world to rights, finally end the conflicts in the Middle East and Europe, and rein in China, perhaps you might quit listening to these dolts."

"Jake Sullivan has been, along with Anthony Blinken, one of the top players in the Democratic foreign policy world for a decade and a half.

"He is so good at his job that you could call him a key architect of the great policies that brought us the color revolutions, the Libyan collapse, the "Arab Spring," the Syrian Civil War, the Afghanistan withdrawal, the Ukraine War, and then the October 7th attacks and the war in Gaza.

"Sullivan famously penned an article for Foreign Affairs bragging that the Middle East is at peace under Biden and that the US could finally turn its attention elsewhere. " . . .

"Biden, you see, worked hand in glove with Sullivan. And Sullivan's keen judgment led him to believe that no president was nearly as good at foreign policy as Joe.

"Is it true that Jake couldn't tell that Biden's brain was toast? I'm almost willing to believe so because his ability to read the room is so manifestly awful that he may indeed not be able to tell the difference between a sentient human being and a toad." . . .

Known as "Jacked-up Joe" for his supernatural transfiguration from the Biden of the debate to the vitriolic, acrimonious screeds of the SOTU, the DNC convention, and the dark, sinister cosplay outside Freedom Hall. All of which had to be seen as a call for the murder of President Donald Trump. TD

A confused man named Joe
. . ."President Biden was so confused. He got the dates wrong, and his rambling was scary. Nevertheless, the real issue here is who ran the country. Who signed the pardons or told him to sign them? Or the executive orders? Who would have answered the dreaded 3 a.m. call and given the Secretary of Defense the orders to fire the missiles?

"And where were the media? I can understand that some Democrats were just being loyal to the President. I get that. However, we expect the media to look beyond that."

Exclusive: Prosecutor's audio shows Biden's memory lapses    "Amid long, uncomfortable pauses, Joe Biden struggled to recall when his son died, when he left office as vice president, what year Donald Trump was elected or why he had classified documents he shouldn't have had, according to audio Axios obtained of his October 2023 interviews with special counsel Robert Hur.

"Why it matters: The newly released recordings of Biden having trouble recalling such details — while occasionally slurring words and muttering — shed light on why his White House refused to release the recordings last year, as questions mounted about his mental acuity.
  • The audio also appears to validate Hur's assertion that jurors in a trial likely would have viewed Biden as "a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory."
  • Partly based on that determination, Hur decided not to prosecute Biden for improper possession of classified documents, angering Republicans because Trump was facing charges in his own classified document scandal then.
  • Democrats and Biden's White House blasted Hur for his observations about Biden. They repeatedly insisted he was "sharp" and that Hur was politically motivated. But the audio from the six hours of interviews indicates he and co-counsel Marc Krickbaum were respectful and friendly.
"The big picture: The audio surfaces as Democrats and the national media are grappling with the legacy of Biden's White House and campaign hiding his decline as he ran for another four-year term at age 81.
  • Democratic leaders have struggled this week to respond to reports about a new book on that topic — "Original Sin," by Axios' Alex Thompson and CNN's Jake Tapper — that will be released Tuesday.
  • The audio — from two three-hour sessions on Oct. 8 and 9, 2023 — adds voice and dimension to the transcripts of the interviews that the Justice Department made available in the weeks after Hur's report was released Feb. 8, 2024.
  • Biden's White House refused to release the recordings last year, arguing they were protected "law enforcement materials" and that Republicans only wanted "to chop them up, distort them, and use them for partisan political purposes." . . .Much more...

Masked Female Jihadist "Wannabees" on American Campuses

 Phyllis Chesler

"Why are so many of the pro-Hamas protestors/demonstrators/rioters/jihadist-like rioters--girls and women? Why do they mask themselves voluntarily as well so as to disguise their identities? I have tried to address this question many times before. Ultimately, we might conclude that freedom is too heavy a burden for women in the West today, or that it's an odd form of rebellion, namely, they may feel that this is a way in which they can assert themselves, be loud, be proud, be "dangerous" in order to gain male or tribal approval without having to appear half-naked, gyrating, and wiggling.

"Maybe some of these jihadist-wannabees, like their male counterparts, are also getting paid by foreign Islamist entities. Perhaps they think that they're protecting the large number of pro-Hamas male foreigners who are here illegally. Is this a new and politically correct form of motherhood?

"Why do I write this? Ever since 10/7, I have viewed a large number of women in keffiyehs, banging drums, womanning the megaphones, gluing themselves to streets in order to impede traffic. However, in the awful "occupation" of Butler Library at Columbia this past week, of the 81 rioters arrested--61 were women. Seventy-five percent were women.

"I dunno. Were the male jihadist "wannabees" faster runners?

"I've been told that the police have not kept anyone of the 81 but have merely issued desk warrants. This means that they do have to appear in court at some point. Will they be fined a small sum? Will they be fined at all?

"Why, oh, why? These jihadist-like rioters surged into private property just as Hamas surged into southern Israel on 10/7. They are similarly masked. As my colleague Douglas Murray has asked: Would masked members of the KKK calling for the lynching of African-American men be so gently treated? Not arrested? Not called out? Not tossed out of school?

"OK. What is Columbia going to do--terminate those who are students? Not allow them to graduate? Prohibit them from being on the campus?""

In my opinion, the more successful Israel is in battling Hamas in Gaza (at great, great cost), the more intense are these campus riots. The two are connected."

Ovations for the Black, Gay, Trans Graduate Speaker Who Wants to Kill the Jews

Phyllis Chesler

How bad is the march of propaganda really? Just the other day, I attended a zoom meeting of some college presidents who proudly focused on their support for Gaza and for Palestine.Until or unless we can turn this around, it will only get worse.

An Israeli flag and red roses adorn photos of kidnapped, missing or killed Israelis during a rally in support of
 Israel  at MIT last month

"For years now, in my own fair city, graduation speakers have gratuitously condemned Israel and praised Islamic terrorism against the Jewish state. Their classmates, professors, and fellow students have given them long ovations.

"Just yesterday, the speaker designated by the student body at NYU's Gallatin Division, Logan Rozos, said this:

" 'The only thing that is appropriate to say at this time and to a group this large is a recognition of the atrocities currently happening in Palestine. I do not wish to speak only to my own politics today, but speak for all people of conscience, all people who feel the moral injury of this atrocity. I condemn this genocide and complicity in this genocide.”

"You may see it here for yourself: NYU Commencement Speech

"What's even more important than Rozos's pseudo-brave speech for Hamas and for Gaza is the thunderous ovation that he got from other graduating students while and after he spoke.

"No doubt fearful of losing federal funding, NYU spokesperson John Beckman has issued a statement denouncing Rozos's speech as "a one-sided abuse of his opportunity to speak at commencement." Apparently, Rozos had "lied about the speech he was going to deliver." Beckman said that Rozos's diploma would be withheld--at least for now. (We'll see whether, if and how, Rozos might be disciplined.)

"I doubt that Rozos will be punished--he will be acclaimed. Who is he? Although NYU immediately deleted Rozos's bio, I managed to find this profile on Firelight Media. Rozos is described as "an actor, artist, and gay Black trans man." Here it is:

“He was an honoree in Teen Vogue’s 20 Under 20 Queer Artists and Activists To Watch and a recipient of the 2019 Parity Award for outstanding work by LGBTQ people of faith. WHAT WILL I BECOME? will be his first project as a director.

‍“Co-directed by Lexie Bean and Logan Rozos, WHAT WILL I BECOME? is a feature documentary weaving together the stories of two trans boys who died by suicide and trans masculine+ community surviving the suppression and isolation that comes with binary masculinity, while offering resources and imagination for a way forward.”

"The cults of Palestinians and the trans cult are joined in Rozos's identity, making him almost invulnerable to criticism or punishment. The fact that Rozos also identified himself as black, gay, and trans renders him the hero of the day--no, of the year, or of the century.

What is going on? Let's mention Qatar, which had a long-range plan. It chose not to bomb American infidels--although it did fund many Muslim terrorist-jihadists who did so. Qatar also shielded and paid for the leaders of Al-Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Taliban.

But that was not enough. In addition, Qatar has sent many billions of dollars to infiltrate, take over, and take down the American Academy. Did no one see this coming? Or was the Red-Green Alliance already in formation on American campuses, among the professoriate, administration, and generations of their students?" . . .

“For Posterity’s Sake”: Why the Biden-Hur Tapes is a Virtual Racketeering Indictment

Jonathan Turley

"The real indictment that comes out of these tapes is a type of political racketeering enterprise by the Washington establishment. It took a total team effort from Democratic politicians to the White House staff to the media to hide the fact that the President of the United States was mentally diminished."

“ 'For posterity’s sake.” Those words from President Joe Biden sum up the crushing impact of the leaked audiotapes from the interview between then-President Joe Biden and Special Counsel Robert Hur. Not only did they remove any serious doubt over Biden committing the federal crimes charged against President Donald Trump, but they also constituted what is akin to a political racketeering indictment against much of the Washington establishment.
"The interview from Oct. 8-9, 2023, has long been sought by Congress, but was kept under wraps by the government even as Biden campaigned for a second term.
"Many of us balked at Hur’s conclusion that no charges were appropriate despite the fact that the President removed classified material for decades, stored it in grossly negligent ways, and moved it around to unsecure locations, including his garage in Delaware.
"Given President Donald Trump’s indictment for the same offenses, it was hard to imagine how the Special Counsel could not recommend the same criminal charges (presumably after he left office).
"Instead, Hur declared it would have been hard to get a jury to convict Biden because he was “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
"It appears that Trump, on the other hand, was presumptively not sympathetic or well-meaning and possessed a good memory for prosecution.
"The contrast was glaring and only reinforced the view of many citizens that there are two tracks for justice in Washington.
"Soon after the report’s release, President Biden gave an irate press conference in which he lied about the findings of his culpability and lashed out at any suggestion that he had gapped or stumbled in the interview.
"For example, when reporters raised how Biden forgot when his son Beau died, Biden angrily responded, “How in the hell dare he raise that?” Frankly, when I was asked the question I thought to myself it wasn’t any of their damn business.”
"However, it was not Hur but Biden himself who raised the death of his son, and he forgot a wide array of dates, including when he served in office.
"Nevertheless, media outlets like the Atlantic followed the lead of the White House in attacking Hur for “misleading” the public on Biden’s memory." . .

How 10 violent New Orleans inmates escaped jail — after leaving taunting graffiti for cops. Did Biden's DEI policies affect New Orleans security?

NY Post  "The 10 violent inmates who escaped a Louisiana prison Friday broke out using a small window that was covered by a toilet — and left a wall full of taunting graffiti for investigators, photos show. Orleans Justice Center officials made the shocking discovery during headcount at 8:30 a.m. — just over eight hours after the jibe-happy gang of allegedly violent offenders used the small porthole to enter a maintenance area, scale a wall and exit the New Orleans prison, WVUE reported." . . .

Remember the Bourbon Street attack on January 2025?   FBI refuses to say if diversity hire who said New Orleans terror attack wasn't a terror attack is being disciplined or fired | Law Enforcement Today | lawenforcementtoday.com  "During a morning press briefing, New Orleans field office FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Alethea Duncan, an apparent DEI hire bearing a nose ring, took to the podium and said the attack was “not a terrorist event” to surprised members of the media, equally surprised local law enforcement officials and incredulous viewers watching on television. The FBI quickly walked back Duncan’s statement and said the attack was indeed under investigation as a terror incident.
"In the early morning hours of New Year’s Day and only a short time after the attack, while Bourbon Street was still closed as an active crime scene, Duncan took to the podium.
" 'We’ll be taking over the investigative lead for this event. This is not a terrorist event,” Duncan said in front of unbelieving first responders. “What it is right now is improvised explosive devices that was found.” That is a direct quote.
"Duncan expected people to believe that a man drove down a crowded sidewalk on New Year’s Eve, running people down, and then when he crashed his truck, started shooting indiscriminately, including at police officers, and it was not a terrorist attack. Improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were found, and the truck was flying an ISIS flag, but it “is not a terrorist event.” This is today’s FBI.
"Her explanation was soon dismissed, albeit not directly, when the mayor of New Orleans, LaToya Cantrell, said it was indeed a terror attack." . . .
