Jelly Roll Tells Fans to Stop Listening to His Music If They Dislike His ‘Kimmel Live!’ Trump Jokes
Dems: We no likee Hasan
"The Democrats at last stand up on their hind legs and bleat. "
"As we all know, this indignant schoolmarm schtick always works. Just look at Geraldine Ferraro, Hillary, or Kamala."
"Well, actually, no. To start with, “repudiated” here is subjective at best. Leader of the People’s Party Hakeem Jeffries, when asked point-blank by Wolf Blitzer whether he was in fact cutting ties with Piker, instead went into a long monologue about “the rising tide of anti-Semitism,” the security of “our Jewish brothers and sisters,” and the obligatory insinuation that all “ideological perspectives” were implicated, all without mentioning Piker’s name. (He did mention it once, in passing, when Blitzer pressed him, insisting that he’d opposed Piker “As forcefully as he could.” Righto, Hak.)
"The other “repudiations,” by Elissa Slotkin and a handful of nonentities – Josh Gottheimer, Jackie Rosen, and Ritchie Torres -- were no better. Clearly, the Dems are less interested in repudiating Piker than they are in just hoping that he goes away, while loaning them his following until November. Slotkin started out strong but went off the rails when she couldn’t resist the now-obligatory pro-Palestinian line --this in a statement supposedly condemning anti-Semitism.
"Abdul Mohammed Al-Sayed, who has been working hand in glove with Piker in his campaign, was puzzled by the whole thing. Hasan Piker, if he wasn’t mistaken, was a “streamer” – was that the right word? – out in California, whereas he, Abdul, was up in Michigan, where he was helping people get to the doctor’s office. So what was the question again?
"Barely had enough time passed to consider any of this before hard-left harridan Debbie Dingell emerged to undermine the whole effort with a half-demented rant aimed at the real villains. It was all the media’s fault, said Deb. She was tired of talking about Hasan Piker. She didn’t want to hear that name again. “I am done. Don’t any reporter ask me again about Hasan Piker.”

August 28, 2024: Rosie O'Donnell Spreads Insane Trump Conspiracy
. . . “I don’t know what happened that day, but I don’t think it was a bullet that hit him,” she said. There’s zero proof anything else but a bullet pierced his ear.
"Next, she suggested the event was staged to make him look heroic. Why else would he pop up after being hit and raise his fist in the air.
"'That’s a normal reaction, right, to almost being assassinated,” she said.
"She also alleged he “regrew” his ear, something that only happens with octopuses, she noted.

"I left Islam for Christ. Playing 'crusader' in Dearborn is ruining our witness" Abdu Murray
I have had gracious, edifying conversations with a few Muslims, but you can see by the Hamas and Oct 7th commentaries in the Tunnel Wall, compassion and respect ends with those who behead babies and murder families. TD
"Christians are to be ambassadors of Christ (2 Cor. 5:20), expressing what is beautiful, good, and true. I met such ambassadors during my nine-year odyssey from Islam to Christ. What persuaded me was not spectacles or confrontation, but the credibility of the gospel, conveyed by Christians who compromised on neither truth nor compassion."
"Knights of the Crusades, crosses on their chests and swords held high, rushed toward a Muslim horde with violence in their eyes and scimitars raised. That image circulated on social media ahead of the Aug. 18 political march in Dearborn, Michigan — only a few miles from where I have lived my whole life, first as a Muslim, now as a Christian for the last 26 years. The image, and what happened that day, troubles me — but not for the reasons many assume.
"I support Christians engaging in the public arena, politics included. But we must ask whether our engagement bears the image of Christ or confirms the caricature of Christianity we hope to overcome.
"Every Christian in metro Detroit who wants to talk to a Muslim neighbor about Jesus now has the additional barrier of that crusade image and the news coverage of Christians angrily pointing their fingers.
JAMES TALARICO SAID HE ‘HATES CHRISTIANITY.’ HERE’S WHY
"I understand the concerns that brought some Christians to that march; I've shared some of them publicly. Friends of mine were mistreated — and even arrested — for preaching the gospel at a Dearborn festival, then vindicated in court, acquitted, and awarded damages in a civil suit. More recently, Dearborn’s mayor chastised a Christian at a City Council meeting, telling him he wasn't welcome in the city where he pays taxes. A protester was recently attacked in the streets. His attackers were arrested, and the legal system is running its course. These are legitimate causes for concern.
"Those events, coupled with fears that the Muslim-controlled “no-go zones” of Europe and the UK might take root here, drove much of the support for the Aug. 18 march. Police arrested 22 people for misdemeanors (though they declined to say which side they came from). That the justice system is working gives me hope that we are not in the same place as Europe and the U.K.
"Some critics say Christians should stay out of politics altogether. That swings the pendulum too far." . . . Full article...

Gavin Newsom signs ‘Stop Nick Shirley Act’ expanding protections for immigrant service workers
"Critics have condemned the measure, arguing that it could intimidate people 'trying to shine light on bad behavior'"
- Shields public home and work addresses from public records.
- Prohibits any individual or entity from posting, displaying, selling or distributing the personal information or images of program participants online when done with the intent to threaten, intimidate or incite violence." . . .
. . . "Shirley also pointed to the legislation’s author, Assemblywoman Mia Bonta, whose husband, California Attorney General Rob Bonta, serves as the state’s top law enforcement official.“While the attorney general is supposed to go after fraudsters, his wife is doing the opposite,” Shirley said.
"Explaining how he and others intend to fight it, Shirley said: “This is not the end; this is just the beginning.”
"Other speakers at the rally argued that the issue extends beyond Shirley and could affect Californians’ ability to scrutinize how taxpayer dollars are being spent."
. . . "Lots of people who live in Los Angeles are disgusted by the two choices they have for mayor this year, Democrat incumbent Karen Bass and radical DSA candidate Nithya Raman.
"It is still amazing to think that leftists managed to bump Republican Spencer Pratt off the ballot, leaving voters with the choices of far left or super far left.
"The city is in need of rescuing, but no one is coming to the rescue. The left made sure of that by removing Pratt from the race." . . .
Racism Isn't Fueling Gary Power Outages. Black Leaders Are
"Take it from someone who knows. Gary isn’t in the dark because of racist white people. Gary is in the dark because of incompetent, selfish, self-interested black people who trade on the language of racism to maintain their power without accountability."
"Gary, Indiana, just wrapped up week two with no power, and the left-wing narrative on the extended blackout is (unsurprisingly), “It’s racism!” As someone who lived in Gary for a decade, I can tell you it is anything but that.
Gary made me a conservative. In 1999, I married a man from Gary and moved to his home on the west side. That marked the beginning of a 10-year journey in one of the most dangerous cities in America. I was a default Democrat at the time, like most black Americans. Still, as a Christian woman, I dove into community service right away, helping launch and direct an afterschool program.
"There I saw how all the laws and policies I had supported my entire adult life worked up close. I quickly discovered they don’t. I was treated to an endless stream of haughty, entitled bureaucrats who openly despised anyone trying to improve the city on their own. In a city that is almost all black and run exclusively by black people, you’d think I would have found many allies and people excited for progress. It was the exact opposite. Gary was a mess then, and it’s still a mess.
The cries of racism have been the loudest these past few days. Memphis is also experiencing a mass power outage, and Malcolm X impersonator Justin Pearson is using Gary’s current crisis to make a connection to the Memphis blackout:"
| Another Joy Reid type. |
"The post is quite the self-own. Pearson skates near the edges of the truth here, but per usual glides right by the obvious conclusion: Majority-black cities are governed terribly.
"Gary is not experiencing storm racism. Gary is experiencing complete incompetence, and the storm laid it bare. There are a few reasons Gary remains in a position of suffering.
"First, people literally shot at the power company. NIPSCO (Northwest Indiana’s energy provider) has reported that multiple bullets struck their vehicle as employees tried to navigate the streets of the city and make repairs.
"Second, people are abandoning their homes in search of air conditioning, gas, and electricity, leaving property vulnerable to thieves and home invaders. My senior citizen uncle refuses to leave his home for fear there will be nothing to come back to. He and his wife feel they must choose between suffering and theft." . . . More...

How David Letterman Failed the Dangerous Laughter Test
"And if Allen is right that the roots of Russiagate reach much further back than 2016, then that missing Letterman interview may be a small piece of a much larger story about who shaped the narratives Americans were given, who repeated them and what eventually disappeared from view."
"(Mark Anthony) — Seven days after the Benghazi attack, Barack Obama went on David Letterman’s show.
"The date was September 18, 2012. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were dead. The Obama administration was under mounting pressure to explain what had happened, the election was less than two months away, and the administration’s explanation that the attack had grown out of a spontaneous reaction to an anti-Islam video was already under scrutiny.
"So Obama went to Letterman. Naturally.
"That was one of the more striking moments in A.J. Rice’s Dangerous Laughter conversation with Drew Thomas Allen, author of Clinton Hoax, Obama Coup: The Declassified Story of the Trump-Russia Delusion. Allen’s book argues that the political and intelligence controversies that exploded around Donald Trump in 2016 did not begin with Trump. To understand Russiagate, he argues, you have to go backward through the Obama years, Benghazi, Hillary Clinton and the intelligence community.
"But the Letterman story is where the conversation gets genuinely strange.
"Allen says that while researching the book, he found references to Obama’s Letterman appearance in material associated with the Benghazi investigation. Finding the actual interview, however, proved to be another matter. According to the discussion, only a small portion of the September 18 appearance remains readily available, while the section dealing with Obama’s explanation of Benghazi is the part that cannot readily be found. Rice points out that plenty of Letterman interviews from that period remain online, making the absence of this particular material difficult to ignore.
"Let’s be careful about what that does and does not mean. The missing footage does not prove who removed it, why it disappeared or whether anyone deliberately removed it at all. Television archives are complicated, rights change hands and old material can disappear for mundane reasons. Rice and Allen themselves discussed trying to obtain a complete copy or transcript rather than treating the missing footage as proof of a conspiracy.
"But it does raise a pretty remarkable question: why is a presidential interview, important enough to be referenced in the Benghazi investigations, so difficult to watch today?
"Rice’s answer was almost tailor-made for Dangerous Laughter: it has been “memory holed.'”. . . More...
The New WWE—Women’s Wrestling Entertainment
Caitlin Clark made the WNBA rich, but its players seem determined to destroy the league by turning women’s basketball into a violent spectacle.
"Two ex-NBA players, Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White, took the WNBA at its word, nobly identifying as women and declaring themselves for the WNBA draft. Yet their declaration of their preferred gender identities—which are usually affirmed as brave and stunning by the WNBA and other forms of officialdom—only elicited furor from the league."
| "The WWE is getting rich not so much by just playing basketball as by waging a veritable physical and cultural war on Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham." |
Liberal Women
What Lindsey Clancy’s defenders have revealed about American women - Patricia McCarthy
"There are thousands of depressed and maybe even psychotic people who do not murder."
. . . "There are thousands of depressed and maybe even psychotic people who do not murder. But for an astonishing number of women across America, the answer is a no-brainer: Clancy is innocent because … her husband did it (no evidence whatsoever), the psychiatric drugs she had amassed from several if not numerous psychiatrists made her do it, and/or that she suffered so seriously from postpartum psychosis, a rare but extreme form of postpartum depression.
"We’ve all seen the bizarre cult of moonbats who believe Luigi Mangione should be allowed to walk free after shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in the back because he headed a health insurance company; Mangione hated health insurance companies.
"Then there are the “activists” who think Karmelo Anthony is not guilty of stabbing Austin Metcalf to death when all the evidence proves that he did, without cause. Recent evidence shows that Anthony was on the edge that day and looking to stab someone and wanted to “lick their blood off his knife.”
"The theoretically same people believed O.J. Simpson was innocent, that George Floyd was not the drugged-up criminal with a violent past that he was.
"These are the same people who believed Kamala Harris’ pal Jussie Smollett did not set up his absurd attack by two men wearing MAGA hats. How many fake “racist” hoaxes are there? Too many to count." . . .
. . . "But with the invasion of 12 million to 20 million migrants from third world failed states our American culture has been polluted, the obvious consequence is the disruption of what was once a relatively ideologically cohesive country. And now we have mothers defending a mother who murdered her own three babies."
Why Are Liberal White Women So Angry? - American Thinker
"Because the United States is living in the feminist future that these witless, self-indulgent, agnostic, supposedly well-educated, and miserable women promoted, there is an ongoing calamitous erosion of a unique American civilization."
We Happy Few, We Band Of Wokesters
Ann Coulter "Okay, fine. You have more beautiful buildings, accents, traditions, and castles, etc. We’re vulgar arrivistes who eat Texas chili out of a Frito bag. Then why, Britain, do you slavishly imitate the worst woke nonsense America has to offer?"
"Assuming the ridiculous gushing over a Cambridge conman was not a national Monty Python sketch arranged for tourists, the Jason Arday affair reminded me of one of the most peculiar things about Britain: They’re more woke than the U.S. Which is weird, because the Mother Country still has a monarchy that rules over tens of millions of white subjects. The closest we have to that in America is the NAACP.
"According to the 2021 census, the U.K. is 2.5% black, but more than half of all its TV advertisements feature black people. (That’s even more lopsided than their representation in the country’s homicide statistics, where black Britons make up 24% of all convicted killers.)
"You’d never know Britain was the first nation in the world to abolish slavery, then proceeded to use the most powerful navy in the world to end the global slave trade. Black lives mattered to them way before Michael Brown got himself killed in Ferguson, Missouri.
"At a cost of thousands of sailors’ lives and billions of dollars ($170 billion relative to GDP at the time) British ships patrolled the African coast for 50 years, intercepting more than 1,000 slave ships, and freeing 150,000 humans. British taxpayers finally finished paying off that bill in 2015.
"So obviously, Britain has a lot to atone for.
"The study of TV ads, undertaken by the U.K.’s left-wing Channel 4 last year, also found that “[m]ulti-ethnic families with young multi-ethnic children continue to be the go-to for family representation,” constituting 47% of all ads with families. Interracial couples in the U.K. are like gay wedding planners in the U.S. Nobody has ever met one, but they seem to be everywhere.
"For extra “diversity,” Asians (mostly Indians and Pakistanis), who make up 9.3% of the population, are featured in 28% of ads. To be fair, Pakistanis are also wildly over-represented among leaders of white slavery rape gangs.
"The census numbers don’t quite add up, but 81.7% of Britons identified their ethnic group as “white.” At most, 12% of TV ads show white people. On the bright side, gay people in ads were 33% more likely to be white.

The Self-Cancellation of Jason Arday - by John Carter "Jason Arday has been found dead at home, apparently by his own hand. Arday has been written about extensively already, and I don’t want to waste time recapitulating the comical saga of his academic malfeasance here. If this is the first you’ve heard of him, you can do much worse than to start with the original piece by Nathan Cofnas exposing the Cambridge con artist’s record of plagiarism, semi-literate rambling, and outrageous tall tales:"
Hillbilly Elegance
Don Surber; Barbara Walters did Dolly Parton a big favor that people in the 21st century just don’t understand
Greta Van Susteren was among those who denounced the questions. Why? You don’t elicit great answers by asking what’s your favorite color. Walters did Dolly a big favor by giving her a national audience to address the hillbilly stereotypes.
"Dolly Parton’s death brought out the best in people. The Royal Family posted a video of a royal band of some sort playing 9 to 5 in tribute. The tweet said, “Remembering the late, great Dolly, who brought joy, comfort and inspiration to so many—including the millions of children given free books through her Imagination Library. We will always ❤️ you.”
""President Trump ordered flags flown at half-staff in her honor.
"'Born in a one room cabin with a half dozen siblings, they were dirt poor in money but richer than Midas in family.
"Dolly rose. Porter Wagoner gave her a big boost that was controversial as the woman she replaced on his TV show was quite popular. It was not easy, but she Breeze’d her way through the situation.
"When she went off on her own, he sued her. Instead of being bitter, she wrote I Will Always Love You in his honor. When paying back taxes bankrupted him and he had to sell his music catalog, she bought it back for him.
"In the 1970s, she decided to go mainstream. She made some movies with Best Little Whorehouse In Texas being my favorite.
"Part of her marketing was a Barbara Walters interview in 1977. It went well for both women.
"But in the 21st century, everybody is a busybody who is easily offended. Remember Bewitched? The nation is now overrun by Gladys Kravitzes.
"Objections pile up over this exchange."
Walters: “Dolly, where I come from, would I have called you a hillbilly?”
Parton: “If you had have, it would have been something very natural, but I would have probably kicked your shins or something.” . . . More...
Dolly Parton truly was a ‘star’ - Andrea Widburg "In a world in which too many entertainers are narcissistic ignoramuses, Parton epitomized grace, charm, and true generosity of spirit."

‘Disgusting:’ AG Blanche Blasts Philly DA Krasner After He Tells Activists “We All’ Will ‘Blow Up’ President Trump’s Ballroom
This man has no more intellect than does Eric Swalwell.
"The 90,000-square-foot structure is expected to cost around $400 million and will be entirely funded by private donations, according to the president."
"Attorney General Todd Blanche lashed out at Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner on Wednesday, after the Soros-backed prosecutor told a crowd of about 100 black activists that “we all” will “blow up” President Donald Trump’s White House ballroom.
"“It’s disgusting that a district attorney in Philadelphia who, by the way, is a city with its own problems, is so focused on what the president is doing at the White House,” Blanche told Fox News’ Dana Perino.
"Krasner made the fiery comments while speaking at a slavery commiseration event in Philadelphia organized by the “Avenging the Ancestors Coalition” on Tuesday. He stated that the destruction of the White House ballroom would be done in an “official ceremony,” presumably after Democrats regain control of the government. The Philly DA told the predominately black crowd that he would keep a fragment of the destroyed structure as a paperweight and sell other pieces to “give the taxpayers their money back,” despite Trump’s assurance that the project is privately funded.
"'I’m gonna have a paperweight sitting on my desk—you know what that paperweight’s going to be?” Krasner asked. “It’s going to be a piece of the ballroom after we all blow it up!” he exclaimed. “In an official ceremony, just so we’re clear,” he added. “In an official ceremony, we’re going to blow it up and we’re going to give the taxpayers their money back by selling all the pieces as paperweights and I’m gonna have one on my desk.”
"The motto of ATAC, the group that organized the event is “Never forget, always avenge.”
"Trump’s ballroom is currently under construction where the White House’s East Wing used to stand, and is already 65 percent complete, according to the administration. The 90,000-square-foot structure is expected to cost around $400 million and will be entirely funded by private donations, according to the president.
"The Democrats’ lawsuit trying to stop the ballroom’s construction has been taken up by the Supreme Court, who has allowed work to continue as they consider the case." . . . More...
