Video: Spencer Pratt Hands Karen Bass Her...Patootie After She Says He's Running for Mayor to Sell Books –

She knows this how...?

 RedState

"California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass continually pat themselves on the back for spearheading the recovery effort, but their words are a stark contrast from the reality I saw when I recently drove through Pacific Palisades."

"Failed Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass accused challenger Spencer Pratt of "profiting off" the Palisades Fire and, through her spokesman, claimed that his mayoral run was simply a publicity stunt to drive sales of his book, "The Guy You Loved to Hate," which will be released at the end of the month. Judging by Pratt's perfect mic-drop video response, Karen's going to need to take some remedial communications classes to keep up during this campaign.
"Here's how it went down." . . .

Newsom must be held accountable for his destruction of California pic.twitter.com/4YGl7cvZdU
. . . "Just why does he have a book deal? Pratt enlightened Bass, letting her know that the book deal came because of the fire that burned down his home.
"Okay Karen Bass, you got me. I'm running for Mayor and I have a book coming out, but the only reason I have a book deal is because I'm standing in the rubble of my home, which you let burn to the ground. Two weeks after I lost every possession that my family ever owned, a publisher reached out to me and asked me if I would write a book. I wrote the book because I had nothing and needed to put food on the table for my kids."
"Fathers have an instinct to protect and provide for their family, and Pratt is no different. As part of protecting his family, he dove into what caused their home to burn, and found a massive, corrupt machine running the city and endangering its residents. Sadly, he didn't find anyone working to fight for the community, and knew it would be up to him. He continued:
" 'The last year has been an incredibly eye-opening journey, mostly hard and heartbreaking as I waited for someone to stand up for my community. As the year was coming to a close, in the darkness of December, I saw that no one was willing to fight, and that's when I decided that I needed to run for Mayor, and that I needed to announce this on the anniversary of the worst day of my life.
" 'Karen Bass wants you to think that I'm running for Mayor because I want to sell more books. Right. Because coming after the machine is notoriously great for people in the entertainment industry.'
"While Newsom has a book coming out in a few weeks in anticipation of a presidential run, and two other people connected to the Palisades Fire have books already out, Bass didn't accuse them of profiting off disaster. " . . .

Remember This? Obama To Iran Green Revolution Dissidents: Drop Dead

From Obama to Trump: How U.S. Resolve Has Shifted the Balance of Power in Iran - الوطن العربي

Our Middle Eastern allies usually are abandoned by the Democrat Party in the U.S.; In this case, Democrats hero worship of Obama led them to promote a man totally unprepared in the area of international relations and Foreign Policy. TD

"The contrast between Washington’s response to Iran’s unrest in 2009 and today could not be clearer, and it explains why Donald Trump’s position now appears structurally stronger, both in deterrence and in moral clarity.
"When Iranians poured into the streets after the disputed 2009 election, demanding accountability and dignity, the Obama administration chose caution. President Obama spoke of being “deeply troubled” by the violence, affirmed universal values, but ultimately emphasized non-interference. The intent was understandable: to avoid legitimizing Tehran’s claim that protests were foreign-engineered. Yet the effect was demoralizing. Many Iranians felt abandoned at a moment when the regime was uncertain, divided, and vulnerable. The Green Movement was crushed, and the Islamic Republic learned an important lesson: mass repression would carry limited international cost. This post, written in Arabic, reads from right to left, thus the original version is in that form.

"Former US president Barack Obama chose not to support the 2009 Iranian Green Protest Movement because he hoped to reach a deal with Iran on its nuclear weapons that he signed six years later, Deputy Minister Michael Oren (Kulanu) said on Monday.
"Obama’s failure to help Iranian protesters has been criticized since then by Israeli officials, led by Jewish Agency chairman and former Soviet dissident Natan Sharansky, who has called it the biggest failure to help human rights in modern history.
"Oren, who was the ambassador to the US at the time, said Obama initially claimed he would not support the protesters because the CIA helped overthrow nationalist Iranian prime minister Mohammad Mosaddegh in 1953 and that he wanted to show the Iranian people that he respected their sovereignty. Oren said the Obama administration had told Israelis behind the scenes that the protesters themselves did not want an American endorsement because it could discredit them in the eyes of the Iranian people.
"“In retrospect, those explanations are less credible,” Oren told The Jerusalem Post. “ . . .

"President Donald Trump has signaled in recent days that the U.S. is poised to take action against the Iranian government for its violent crackdown on widespread protests in the country, which has left more than 500 people dead and thousands jailed.
"In response, Iranian officials have privately suggested that the two countries work things out through diplomacy, though publicly, Tehran has warned it’s “prepared for war,” according to the country’s foreign minister.
"Relations between the Trump administration and Iran have been icy since the disintegration of nuclear negotiations and the U.S. bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities in June. But the current unrest in the country has the potential to tip that dynamic into a more active conflict.
"Here are five things to know about the situation in Iran as Trump weighs a potential response:"   More...

Death toll from Iranian protests surpasses 2,000, activists say, as chaos recalls 1979 revolution
"The demonstrations began a little over two weeks ago in anger over Iran’s ailing economy and soon targeted the theocracy, particularly 86-year-old Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Images obtained Tuesday by The Associated Press from demonstrations in Tehran showed graffiti and chants calling for Khamenei’s death — something that could carry a death sentence."

"Medical staff in the Islamic Republic have described hospitals as underequipped and without proper room to handle an enormous influx of wounded and dead as the anti-regime protests continue to rage across the country.

Well, well, well, look what Tim Walz signed into law in 2020…

"She is not just dropping her kids off at school. She did not just happen to encounter ICE. She is dancing in her car while blocking the road. This is what she felt was more important than being there for her children. Once again, stay out of law enforcement's operations, don't try to run them down, and you will remain breathing."

. . . "In reality, Ms. Good was part of ICE Watch, a radical anti-ICE group whose sole purpose is disruption and baiting law enforcement."

Subd. 2.Use of deadly force.
(a) Notwithstanding the provisions of section 609.06 or 609.065, the use of deadly force by a peace officer in the line of duty is justified only if an objectively reasonable officer would believe, based on the totality of the circumstances known to the officer at the time and without the benefit of hindsight, that such force is necessary:

(1) to protect the peace officer or another from death or great bodily harm, provided that the threat:

(i) can be articulated with specificity;

(ii) is reasonably likely to occur absent action by the law enforcement officer; and

(iii) must be addressed through the use of deadly force without unreasonable delay; or

(2) to effect the arrest or capture, or prevent the escape, of a person whom the peace officer knows or has reasonable grounds to believe has committed or attempted to commit a felony and the officer reasonably believes that the person will cause death or great bodily harm to another person under the threat criteria in clause (1), items (i) to (iii), unless immediately apprehended.

(b) A peace officer shall not use deadly force against a person based on the danger the person poses to self if an objectively reasonable officer would believe, based on the totality of the circumstances known to the officer at the time and without the benefit of hindsight, that the person does not pose a threat of death or great bodily harm to the peace officer or to another under the threat criteria in paragraph (a), clause (1), items (i) to (iii). . . .

Biden Let ‘Immigration Activist’ Turn America Into an Open-Borders Country | Victor Davis Hanson

Daily Signal  "Did former President Barack Obama prioritize a scheme to increase and use immigration to achieve political goals? Were Obama’s cronies actually the ones in the driver’s seat during the ramp-up of the Biden administration’s open-borders policies, asks Jack Fowler on this special edition of “Victor Davis Hanson (Minus Victor): In His Own Words” with Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies.

"Answer: “What happened is that [Joe] Biden basically just let the activist groups on immigration run immigration policy." . . .

ICE Arrests ‘Worst of the Worst’ Killers, Rapists in Minnesota

. . . "All the perpetrators on the list have been convicted of crimes ranging from homicides to rape and sodomy of young teenage girls — yet reportedly were allowed to roam free in Minnesota." . . .

"No Charges Are Expected Against ICE Agent Whom Renee Good Attacked"

“So I think we all have got to agree there’s no reason for this lady to do what she did,” he said. “If you want to protest, protest. But don’t actively impede and interfere. And certainly, don’t drive a 4,000-pound vehicle toward an officer."

Why Are So Many Leftists Such Trash? Who finances them?

Derek Hunter

"If the Democrat Party is devoid of decent people, or even just adults willing to tell the mob to calm down, if they are completely marinated all the way through progressive trash, well, there will be blood and it will be all over their hands."

"Have you ever “taken to the streets” over any issue? Marched in a protest? Chanted whatever some weirdo ordered you to repeat? Maybe, but probably not. The only protests or marches I’ve ever attended were one against war a friend wanted to go to and he didn’t want to drive to DC alone (plus, I’d never been to DC at that point), one I got extra credit for in college involving newspaper strike, and one that was an annual even to “protest” pot laws because we went to meet chicks and get stoned in a crowd – mostly the novelty of it (which is now common).

"In other words, I don’t protest; I’d rather “do.” Protesting is stupid and a waste of time. Nothing has ever happened because a group of morons chanted and drum circled.

"But marching, chanting and screaming at anyone who isn’t them is pretty much all Democrats do. Well, that and lie.

"How many people’s minds have been changed by blocking traffic? Zero. How many political victories have been racked up by screaming at police? Zero. How many votes have been switched by smashing windows and looting? Zero.

"Yet, Democrats do all of these things – not only regularly, but as a default position. The call goes out, the signs are printed (who paid for those?) and the drone army shows up. Many of them have no idea what they’re there to protest or how to pronounce the name of the person they’re instructed to declare having been the subject or perpetrator of the “injustice” that brought them there.

"It's often the generic police or white people, a lot of times it’s Jews. It is never, ever the murder of a police officer, a white person or a Jew, no matter how horrific and unjust the circumstance of their deaths were. Not one Democrat marched for justice for Laken Riley or Iryna Zarutska because they were white and the people who murdered them were non-white, or “people of color,” as they like to proclaim like it matters." . . .

Notice Anything Regarding All These Angry, Miserable White Liberal Women?

Here's a rather bold statement:

With all the whining, ranting, and calls for violence, have you noticed one common theme regarding all the videos they post on social media? They’re all alone. It’s befitting because normal people don’t want to be around this hot mess. One comedian had it right—these crazed women are screaming alone in their cars, at home, or wherever in these videos because none of them have any friends.

This liberal wants her fellow travelers to hit ICE agents with their cars.   Guess which generation. "This adult child should be Immediately arrested and prosecuted for threats of violence against federal employees..." Very much more...

If Bill Clinton Thought He Could Just Not Show Up for His House Deposition on Epstein, He Was Wrong

 Townhall

"Comer added that no Democrat on the bipartisan committee showed up for the deposition."

"Former President Bill Clinton has refused to comply with a Congressional subpoena to appear before the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday, amid an investigation into his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In response, Committee Chairman James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky, has threatened to pursue contempt of Congress proceedings against him.

"We will move next week in the House Oversight Committee … to hold Bill Clinton in contempt of Congress," Comer said.

"A criminal contempt of Congress charge is classified as a misdemeanor, which can land someone in jail for up to a year and carry fines as high as $100,000 upon conviction.

" 'I think everyone knows by now Bill Clinton did not show up. And I think it's important to note that this subpoena was voted on in a bipartisan manner by this committee," Comer told reporters after formally ending todays deposition. "No one's accusing Bill Clinton of any wrongdoing. We just have questions. And that's why the Democrats voted, along with Republicans, to subpoena Bill Clinton." . . .

Democrats will really want the House back now. TD

ICE protests and riots: Rallying to aid and abet evil

What has happened to the very soul of Western civilization? So many support those whom a corrupt administration allowed into this nation for votes to keep it -Democrats - in power. Their support comes not from popular endorsement but from wealthy, leftist sources: those I am forced to believe side with Hamas murderers of Israeli families, criminals illegally in this country, believe a man can become a woman, that police are evil, and those who burn our cities in the employ of others who pay them to do so. Good has become evil and evil has become a virtue. TD

"Enter pop star Zara Larsson, a Swedish national, who recently used social media, in the form of an Instagram post, to state: “I love immigrants. I love criminals. I love trans people. I love abortions. I love queers. I love slutty women. I love contraception. I love welfare. I love socialism. I f****** hate ICE”  A.T.

ICE protests and riots: Rallying to aid and abet evil

"Riots are taking place across the country in support of a person who was an inveterate obstructor of law enforcement and a Trump hater.

"Just as massive and violent riots took place after George Floyd, a career criminal, druggie, ne’er-do-well, and thug died in police custody several years ago after attempting to use a counterfeit bill to purchase a pack of cigarettes.

"Yet there were no massive protests after 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, a Ukrainian refugee, was murdered by a career offender while riding in a light rail car in Charlotte, North Carolina. The assailant, Decarlos Brown, had previously been arrested — and released — 14 times.

"Zarutska, who “loved America” according to her family, worked at a pizza restaurant and a senior center, and took care of animals in the neighborhood.

"Maybe if she wasn’t white, and had an extensive criminal record, many would have protested her death. In fact, I’m certain they would have. It’s too bad America didn’t love her back.

"But this has become a pattern in the U.S." . . .

Potential collapse of American democracy could affect the world | The Jerusalem Post

. . . " Speaking to Americans, the most patriotic thing to do is fight for the preservation of democratic institutions. While having a backup plan is prudent, the primary focus should be on preventing the need to use it. This means engaging in the democratic process, supporting institutions that uphold the rule of law, and actively resisting antidemocratic movements." . . .

Alliance Defending Freedom   "Their day is finally here. Female athletes will stand at the U.S. Supreme Court to save women’s sports—and a victory could protect women and girls across the country.

"For years, women and girls have been losing opportunities to compete, have had their well-deserved accolades and awards given away, and have been forced to share locker rooms and private spaces with males.

"All because of the lie that men can become women.

"Brave young women like Lainey Armistead, Madison Kenyon, and Mary Kate Marshall are standing up to say ENOUGH. As are girls across the country, who are also fighting to protect fairness and safety for girls." The thrust of this article a plea for financial support. How to identify baseball pitches

"If you've ever wanted to identify baseball pitches by just watching them on TV, this video is for you. That's right. A whole video just about how to identify pitches that you see when you watch baseball games on TV. Have you ever said "what pitch is that?" "Identifying pitches becomes relatively easy once you start paying attention to the velocity and movement of each pitch, and becomes even easier once you start to know which pitches various pitchers throw. "This video will also help if you've ever had these questions:
What is a four seam fastball? What does a four seam fastball look like? What is a two seam fastball? What does a two seam fastball look like? What is a sinker? What does a sinker look like? Is a sinker the same thing as a two seam fastball? What is a curveball? What is a slider? What is a breaking ball? What is a splitter? What is a cutter? What is a knuckleball? What does a slider look like? What does a cutter look like?
"Hope this video is helpful! This is the first video on this channel. Let me know what you think!"

Comments to this video at the link:
"I've been watching baseball for 40 years and this video is literally ... LITERALLY ... the very first time I've heard anyone explain how to identify all the pitches. I've driven myself half-insane doing the research trying to find all this knowledge in one place, and always came away convinced absolutely nobody knows for sure the differences between pitches. My sincerest thanks and appreciation for making this video, Sports Explained. You've got yourself another subscriber."

"Baseball nut here that already knew how to identify pitches. A good sequel to this video would be describing situational use of each pitch. Why 4-seamers are thrown up in the zone, why pitchers throw curves in the dirt, pitch tunneling, why righties throw breaking balls to righties, and offspeed to lefties. Would be a good introduction to how to think through an at bat. The best piece of baseball that most people miss is the mental battle between hitter and pitcher.

Media outlets tell ICE’s side of the story

 Don Surber; Substack

"And even more good news Lakeville, Minnesota. Hilton physically removed the Hampton Inn sign from the hotel that refused to be nice to ICE.

"Tim Walz and the rest of the Democrats finally got what they wanted—someone killed by ICE. The party line is the woman was protesting. The law says she was interfering with an official act.

"She tried to run over the ICE agent while her wife filmed her. She forgot he had a gun. Pray for the man because he never wanted to kill anyone." . . .

"The surprise was media outlets balked at carrying water for Democrats this time. Curtis Houck, Managing Editor of NewsBusters, tweeted a few videos.

" 'He tweeted with the first one, “Here was how Tom Llamas led NBC Nightly News on the deadly ICE-involved shooting in Minneapolis."  . . .
