Obama and his tax philosophy: Buffett Rule 101

Heritage  "According to a recent analysis by the congressional Joint Committee on Taxation, the Buffett Rule would raise a mere $47 billion over ten years. Meanwhile, President Obama’s budget calls for adding $6.7 trillion to the national debt. That means that the Buffett Rule will only cover one half of one percent of the President’s new spending. Soaking the rich cannot get deficits down, only spending reductions can do that.
"When it comes to the biggest problem America is facing — a weak economy and high unemployment — the Buffett Rule would weaken the economy and make matters worse."
...".Here’s what you really need to know about Obama’s plan."...
From CNN: Buffett rule is a calculated distraction  "After releasing a non-budget that completely ignored the nation’s near-term, medium-term, and long-term fiscal plight - an extraordinary trifecta not easily achieved - the President then tried to take the House Republicans to task for their proposed real solutions on all three. Nothing highlights irresponsibility like responsible behavior, and so Obama found sharp rhetoric and a frowning visage to be thin gruel when you’ve no policies of your own. Response? Change the subject."...

The Master
After quoting Karl Marx, Boortz writes: "If you need something the government will provide it to you.  If you have more than you need it is the government’s purpose to take it from you and give it to the people who do need it.  Obama’s philosophy is stated in the opening seven words of Marx’ quote."
...."The election needs to be about his failures and the future of freedom in this country … not about “fairness” and the evil rich."

Delaware Democrat Sen Coons: Don’t ‘Buffett’ small business  "...he added, small businesses deserve “some carve-out where, if they’re investing, if they’re creating jobs, they don’t face a doubling of their tax rates.” "
