Commentaries on the Biden-Ryan debate

Business Insider has more on Chris Wallace's comments:  " "I don't believe I've ever seen a debate in which one participant was as openly disrespectful of the other as Biden was to Paul Ryan tonight," Wallace said.
"He added: "It was openly contemptuous and disrespectful." "

Biden appeals to base, Ryan takes higher ground in debate   "Polls at MarketWatch.com and CNN show Ryan came away the winner while CNBC.COM’s unscientific poll gave Biden the nod.  In the end, it appears a draw, but there is more to consider."

BFD: Biden's Failed Debate  "Watching both Biden's and Obama's performances at the 2 debates, an undecided voter would still be clueless as to what the administration is proposing for a second term, except perhaps to move "forward" headlong into the same policies of the last 3 ½ years."

Biden makes liars out of administration's own State Department   "This is easily the #1 gaffe of the night and has raised eyebrows in the foreign policy establishment."....."Nothing came of Biden's monumental gaffe back then. It is doubtful anything will come of this one."

Yeshiva World News;  FOX NEWS’ CHRIS WALLACE: I’ve Never Seen A Candidate As Disrespectful As Joe Biden  " “I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a debate in which one participant was as openly disrespectful of the other as Biden was to Paul Ryan tonight,” Wallace said.
He added: “It was openly contemptuous and disrespectful.” "  Also this:   Biden’s ‘Malarkey’ and Laughter Drive Online Reaction During Veep Debate

Alan Caruba; A Most Obnoxious Biden   "Worse, perhaps, was the continuous and inappropriate laughter of the Vice President, along with what was clearly a great deal of smirking that suggested his disrespect for Ryan.
"What we saw and heard was a repeat of the last nearly four years of the Obama administration, one incapable of telling the truth and unwilling to deal with the hard issues whether it was the economy, defense, or foreign affairs."

Fox News; Biden accused of being disrespectful in vice presidential debate with grins, laughs

" "You almost can’t blame Joe Biden for being so unhinged. It must be frustrating to debate when you have a record that is so hard to defend and not a single tangible plan for the second term besides tax hikes," a statement from the Republican National Committee said in drawing attention to notable tweets about Biden's mirth."

Fox; Biden adds more confusion to Libya story with debate claim on security   "In addition to raising eyebrows over that comment, the vice president went a step further and threw the intelligence community under the bus -- putting the blame squarely on their shoulders for the faulty narrative...."

Peggy Noonan; Confusing Strength With Aggression

"A draw on substance, but the vice president loses on style."...."And so the Romney-Ryan ticket emerged ahead. Its momentum was neither stopped nor slowed and likely was pushed forward."

"The question is will it affect the debates that are coming up, that’s the real heavyweight stuff between Obama and Romney. And I think that the objective, perhaps the one advantage that Biden laid down, is that in the actual arguments he made the points that had been left out of the first debate.” "
"“What he was trying to do is set the premises for the upcoming debates by filling in the blanks, by answering the charges Romney made in Obama had left unanswered — the 47 percent, repeating the $5 trillions of debt,”..."  Via Lucianne.

Mark Steyn; Laughing All the Way to the Bank Collapse  "Ryan isn’t a funny guy. But, when you’re earnest and a bit wonky and up against a smarmy third-rate lounge-act flashing his dentistry, you don’t have to be funny. A bit of righteous indignation would have helped.
"An opportunity missed."
John Fund writes about Joe the Bully  "Al Gore lost his first debate to George W. Bush in 2000 with his audible sighs and sneering manner. Biden wasn’t quite that bad, but independent voters usually don’t like candidates who come off as a jerk. Biden’s rude demeanor hurt him tonight, providing a poor contrast to Ryan’s calmness on the split screen."

Excellent information and facts. Only real difficulty I was basically receiving was viewing the pics. No idea exactly why.
