"Bryan Kohberger is trying to reopen the case he ended with four guilty pleas.
"On Monday, the man serving four consecutive life terms for the murders of four University of Idaho students opened a new post-conviction proceeding in Ada County and asked to withdraw his plea, setting up an effort to obtain a new trial.
"The filing arrives one year after Kohberger stood before a judge and admitted killing Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin in their Moscow home.
"Nothing has been reversed. His convictions and sentences remain in force, and the claims in his new affidavit are allegations that have not been tested or accepted by a court." . . . More
