Israel Gave Work Permits, While Palestinians Planned Oct. 7 Massacre

Gatestone Institute But the people of Gaza chose Hamas when they had the chance to vote for someone else. TD  Or did they? Explainer: Was Hamas Elected by a Majority of Palestinians in Gaza? (yahoo.com)

. . ."Now, Palestinians can blame Hamas not only for dragging them into a disastrous war with Israel, but also for having left tens of thousands of families jobless in the wake of their loss of permits to work in Israel." . . .

  • Prior to the October 7 massacre, more than 170,000 Palestinians were working in Israel, constituting an important source of income for the Palestinian economy.... The Palestinians from the Gaza Strip who were permitted to work in Israel received many of the same rights as Israeli workers, including health insurance and pension plans.

  • "I will be able to earn about $120 dollars a day [in Israel], while I cannot even earn $250 dollars a month in Gaza. Due to the difficult political and economic conditions, the people of the Gaza Strip suffer greatly from poverty and are unable to build a future for their children like their parents." — Mohammed Kamal, a 38-year-old father of four from the Gaza Strip, newarab.com, March 24, 2022.

  • It appears that the murderers and rapists from the Gaza Strip saw Israel's goodwill gestures as an indication of Israel's weakness. In addition, they apparently saw the controversy in Israel surrounding the Israeli government's judicial reform plan as a sign that Israel had become extremely weak, especially when anti-government protesters threatened to boycott military reserve service.

  • The October 7 atrocities serve as a reminder that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not about improving the living conditions of the Palestinians or strengthening their economy. Instead, the conflict is about the desire of the majority of Palestinians to slaughter Jews and destroy Israel.

  • Pre-and post-October 7 public opinion polls have consistently demonstrated that the majority of Palestinians back Hamas and believe that the atrocities committed on that day were "correct."

  • Now, Palestinians can blame Hamas not only for dragging them into a disastrous war with Israel, but also for having left tens of thousands of families jobless in the wake of their loss of permits to work in Israel.

  • Instead of brainwashing and indoctrinating their people against Israel and Jews, Palestinian leaders need to be required to focus on creating job opportunities and boosting the Palestinian economy, which the flow of international handouts have relieved them from doing." . . .

How 'Let's go Brandon' became an anti-Biden conservative heckle

 BBC (bbc.com)

. . ."The meme feeds into several long-running beliefs in conservative circles - that liberals are snowflakes who get offended at things quickly and that so-called liberal media will censor all criticism of Biden," Amarasingam says." . . .

"The phrase was spotted on T-shirts as well as a banner pulled by a plane at Donald Trump's rally at the Iowa State Fairgrounds on Saturday. It's a recurring meme on right-wing social media websites.

"Fans chanted it at college football games last weekend in Texas and Mississippi.

Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz mentioned it on a conservative podcast, calling it "one of the funniest things I've ever seen".

"But what does it mean?

"In short, it's an insult directed at Democratic President Joe Biden - and a way for conservatives to thumb their noses at what they see as liberal bias in the mainstream media.

"It all started at the end of a televised Nascar stock car race in Talladega, Alabama, on 2 October. NBC reporter Kelli Stavast was interviewing the winner, driver Brandon Brown, when members of the crowd in the grandstand behind them began chanting an obscenity directed at the president.

"The vulgar word directed at Joe Biden was clearly picked up on the broadcast's audio.

"Whether by mistake or as an intentional attempt to deflect from the swearing on live television, Ms Stavast told Mr Brown that the crowd was cheering him on with chants of "Let's go, Brandon".

"The conservative social media ecosystem quickly latched onto the moment.

"Obscene chants directed at the president have been a recurring theme at conservative gatherings and sporting events in recent months, so the "Brandon" line became a tongue-in-cheek way of evading media censorship and public sensibilities - while still getting the point across to those in the know."

Here it is, though one regrets the repeated use of God's name by Brandon. TD

Gavin Newsom Wants to Be an Emperor - He wants power, power, and more power.

The American Spectator | USA News and Politics

"Newsom is determined to become president and transform America in the image of California. He still hopes he will get his chance this cycle. That could happen, as, by the day, Biden’s cognitive decline appears worse and worse." . . .

. . ."This is who Gavin Newsom wants to be: a man who so shapes the course of history that citizens see him as the god-like creator of the world they live in. As former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, who authored the foreword for my book, explained, “Newsom cloaks a selfish agenda beneath a false compassion for the marginalized and underprivileged.”

"Newsom, ever-ambitious and ever-desirous of being at the forefront of societal progress, has already found incredible success at leading America in his chosen direction.

"Newsom ignited the gay marriage revolution. He began the COVID lockdown insanity. He duped America into marijuana legalization. He launched a soft-on-crime regime. He led the way on an endlessly generous homelessness strategy. And he spearheaded the radical sex education that has overtaken America’s schools.

"You can see Newsom’s ambition to be the man to shape history reflected in his style of governance. He operates through actions that push the boundaries of leftist ideology. Consider his announcements of two years of free college for all Californians, free healthcare for all illegal immigrants, and a moratorium on gasoline-powered vehicles after 2035. He also performs grandiose stunts that elevate his national profile, such as his pro-abortion billboard campaign, his tour of red states, and his debate with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

"Throughout his political career, Newsom’s driving desire for power has been present to an embarrassing degree. All the way back in 1998, he told the San Francisco Chronicle that he was thinking of running for president some day. “If you’re in politics and you want to make an impact,” he said, “you should be as successful as possible and the most influential position is president.” Additionally, during Newsom’s time as lieutenant governor, it was an open secret that Newsom cared only for using the job to become governor." . . .

Here comes the old "As I wrote in my book" bit:

"Therefore, it is crucial that we know our enemy. Luckily, this enemy has many skeletons in his closet. His hidden past is so troubling that, if Americans knew the truth, they would oppose having him anywhere near the White House.

"To truly grasp the shocking extent to which this is true, read Newsom Unleashed: The Progressive Lust for Unbridled Power."

12 Leaked Questions From CNN’s Upcoming Presidential Debate : Parody

AfterMath

Babylon Bee  "With the first 2024 presidential debate right around the corner, the public is eager to find out what topics will be covered and what questions the CNN moderators will ask the candidates.
  1. "Fortunately, The Babylon Bee has obtained the following leaked list of debate questions for the upcoming CNN presidential debate:
  2. "Which of President Trump's crimes should he be executed for?": With so many to choose from, this will be an important opportunity for each candidate to show wisdom.
  3. "Are you a convicted felon?": Only candidates who answer "no" will be allowed to stay in the race.
  4. "If you were on a boat with a giant battery and the boat started to sink and there were sharks in the water, would you stay on the boat and risk electrocution or jump in the water and risk a shark attack?": Just like Abraham Lincoln and John Breckinridge were asked in 1860.
  5. "Please demonstrate your fitness for being president by standing perfectly still with your arms stiffly to the side and staring blankly ahead.": Biden has reportedly been practicing his response to this question for years.
  6. "What's the most illegal thing you've ever done, and don't worry, you totally won't be indicted for it?": Clearly an unbiased question intended to illicit honest and relatable answers and not in any way a trap for any specific candidate.
  7. "Mr. Trump, why are you such a loser?": The voters deserve to know.
  8. "How many Pearl Harbors and 9/11s does it take to equal one Jan 6?": A simple mathematical question that will establish the gravity of the worst day in human history.
  9. "On a scale of 1 to 10, rate your daughter.": Only the creepiest of answers will suffice.
  10. "Who shot first, Han or Greedo?": One of the most important questions of our time.
  11. "This question is for Trump. Why are you the literal personification of evil on planet Earth?": Any professional journalistic organization would ask this question.
  12. "Follow-up question for Biden. How ya doin' pal?": Elected officials have to face tough questions.
  13. "President Biden? Hello? Can you hear us, sir?": Quick, cut to a commercial break! Here's a word from our sponsors!
"If the questions above are any indication, the nation is in for the most fair and impartial presidential debate of all time."

Germans -- Even During the Hitler Era -- Were a Better People Than the Palestinians

 Dennis Prager (jewishworldreview.com)

"To be "pro-Palestinian" today means being pro-Hamas just as to be "pro-German" during World War II was the same as being pro-Nazi. The only difference is that the Germans as a whole were a better people than the Palestinians. If you support the Palestinians, you should know whom you support."

Hitler hosts Grand Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini in 1941 in Germany.

"Immediately after the burnings, rapes, mutilations and murders of Jews on Oct. 7, I was not alone in noting the one moral difference between Hamas and the Nazis: The Nazis tried to hide their crimes against the Jews from the German people (and the world) while Hamas proudly publicized their crimes against the Jews to the Palestinian people (and didn't mind that the world would inevitably see them bragging about killing Jews). In addition to videoing their atrocities, Hamas paraded captured Jews — dead and alive, clothed and naked — in front of cheering Palestinian crowds in Gaza.

"This leads to a sobering realization.

"Hamas boasting to their fellow Palestinians about what they did to Jews while the Nazis tried to hide what they did from fellow Germans means there is not only a moral difference between Hamas and the Nazis but a moral difference between the German people during the Nazi era and the Palestinian people today — and for nearly the last hundred years.

"Morally speaking, it would be difficult to name a less impressive people than the Palestinians over the past century. For those who do not understand that a generalization means, by definition, that there are exceptions, I should note that there are and have always been noble Palestinian individuals. But the cumulative Palestinian record of evil over the last century has few peers.

"Let's begin in the 1940s.[1]

"The leading Palestinian religious leader in the early 1940s, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, was a major supporter of the Nazis and their extermination campaign against the Jews." . . .

. . ."Initially, only Nordic volunteers were accepted, but as the war progressed, and manpower shortages became more acute, the Germans began to broaden their definition of “acceptable races” to encompass just about every race except Africans and Jews." . . .

"Muslim adjacents" will do just fine! ‘Miserable little doom goblin’ Greta Thunberg ditches climate activism for Palestine protests | Sky News Australia   "Greta Thunberg has ditched climate activism for pro-Palestine activism, hopping on the latest woke bandwagon with her posse of professional protesters."

Dear World: Yes, everyone is wrong and Israel alone is right

 Ronn Torossian - American Thinker

Dear World: Yes, Everyone is Wrong and We Alone Are Right. We Are The Jewish people. We will keep doing what is best for us and that’s all. Live with it -- or don’t.

. . ."This week, Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said “no” to a proposal that France, the United States, and Israel would form a contact group to work on defusing escalating tensions with Hezb’allah on the northern border. As Gallant said, “As we fight a just war, defending our people. France has adopted hostile policies against Israel. In doing so, France ignores the atrocities committed by Hamas against Israeli children, women, and men. Israel will not be a party to the trilateral framework proposed by France.”

"Rightfully, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently said, “If Israel has to stand alone, we will stand alone. If we need to, we will fight with our fingernails. But we have much more than our fingernails.”

"The reality is that Israel is at odds with much of the world as Jews are in danger worldwide -- and as American and western interests are in great danger worldwide.

"The U.S. is delusional when lecturing Israel on a two-state solution. There is no support in Israel for a two-state solution, we have no one to talk to and we have compromised more than enough. Gaza in 2005 was a compromise for peace, which resulted in October 7th. Now, we are asked to compromise again and reward the attacks of 10/7. Won’t happen in this independent Jewish state.

"Israel knows we have to sometimes fight alone, as history has shown us. The reality is that Israel and the Jewish people have throughout history had hardship." . . .

"Proportionality' sucks and so do its adherants  . . ."Regarding the current war: In no wars other than those involving Israel does the world impose a standard of civilian-death 'proportionality.' In other words, "Israel is the only nation on earth that is tasked with protecting its own people and its enemies." . . .

Another Fast Food Chain Is in Serious Trouble

Another Fast Food Chain Is in Serious Trouble – Stephen Green    . . ."EYM Group owns and operates 144 Pizza Hut locations in Indiana, Illinois, Georgia, South Carolina, and Wisconsin but owes millions in franchise fees to Yum Brands. All the Indiana locations were boarded up on Friday of last week, and the Daily Mail reported today that the remaining 129 restaurants "across Illinois, Georgia, South Carolina and Wisconsin are on the brink of shutting as part of the dispute."

"How EYM and Yum Brands got here is one of those stories they'll tell for years to business masters students as a lesson on What Not to Do.

"Based in Texas, EYM ended up owing millions to Yum for a number of reasons, including inflation jacking up food costs faster than EYM could boost prices on increasingly cost-conscious diners. But Pizza Hut's problems run back much further than Bidenflation.

"Yum was showing patience with EYM, giving them extra time to pay their overdue franchise fees. But EYM sued corporate last March for breach of contract — basically, for failing to deliver a competitive product for franchisees to sell. According to the suit, Pizza Hut has "not kept up with the heavy competition from its competitors, Dominos, Little Caesars."

"Another complaint was that "In recent years, the best Pizza Hut managed to do is change the cheese in its stuffed crust from mozzarella to cheddar or trot out an occasional, ill-fated appetizer liked the Philly steak melt."

"Yum countersued EYM earlier this month. And for its part, Pizza Hut said, "The company is working to transition these locations and expects many of them will reopen soon," and claims they'll do the same if and when the other 139 EYM restaurants close.

West Coast Messed Coast™: LA Crazies Claim ‘No U-Turn’ Signs Are Anti-LGBTQ

Catherine Salgado – PJ Media  . . ."In the latest example of first-world imaginary problems triggering mentally unstable leftists, I give you: homophobic u-turn signs!

"Yes, you read that right. Activists in a Los Angeles neighborhood succeeded in getting the city council to remove “no u-turn” signs by claiming they were intended to be anti-LGBTQ. You see, City Councilperself (or whatever the incorrect terminology is) Hugo Soto-Martinez claims, “‘No U-Turn’ Signs were installed with ‘No Cruising’ signs in Silver Lake in 1997 to target and persecute the LGBTQ+ community.” So apparently homosexuals eagerly questing about neighborhoods for a sex partner to cuddle up with and watch The Acolyte are being prevented by eeevil traffic signs.

. . ."California isn’t the only West Coast state with an idiotic move this week about sodomites and street signs — or, rather, street murals. If you’re a woke leftist activist, you can burn down cities, deface valuable historic statues, and storm Capitol buildings with impunity. But in Washington, three teens who dared to leave scuff marks on a Pride Month crosswalk could be going to jail for several years. Boys and girls, our word of the day is “Orwellian.”

The California Exodus May Be Just Beginning

Stephen Green – PJ Media  "Will the last person to leave California please turn off the lights? Assuming they aren't in the middle of one of California's increasingly frequent brownouts, that is.

"Relocation firm moveBuddha looked at searches for 100,000 moves just this year, and five of the top ten were people looking to get out of the Golden State for almost anywhere else. "5 of the top 10 exit metros are in California, the firm reported on Monday. "Los Angeles has the highest interest in outbound moves, with 42% more outbound inquiries than runner-up San Francisco. Per capita, the prize goes to San Francisco.". . .
. . ."I hit U-Haul's website to price the 26-foot truck a family would need to move a three- or four-bedroom house from one city to another. Tech workers leaving the Bay Area often end up in Austin, Texas, so that's the route I priced. U-Haul charges $5,040 for the trip east. But if you're a brave and/or confused soul looking to move from Austin to San Francisco, that same 26-foot truck will set you back just $2,514.

"People will pay big bucks to leave California because it's worth it."

So sad; California was beautiful beyond measure in all respects when I first moved there in 1961 after discharge. TD

Actress Patricia Heaton has a plan to fight antisemitism

YouTube   'Everybody Loves Raymond' star Patricia Heaton tells 'One Nation' about pushing against antisemitism and her Christian duty to stand up for the Jewish community.

But I will say that even more important than showing your support, American patriots need to get out a VOTE. VOTE for Trump, VOTE Biden OUT. The free world is hanging on by a thread and believe me, nobody feels this more than us Israelis. If you don't like what's happening now, don't vote on Nov 5th and wait and see what Obama does to America in his 4th term!

Buttigieg Can't Explain Why Biden Has Only Built 'Seven or Eight' EV Charging Stations

Biden’s Ambitious EV Charging ‘Fantasy’ May Be On A Collision Course With Reality

As of April 1, the administration’s $7.5 billion push had only led to seven operational charging stations combining for less than 40 chargers around the U.S., a pace that has drawn criticism from House Republicans and even Democratic Oregon Sen. Jeff Merkley. While other projects are on their way to being built and operational, the nation’s EV charging infrastructure remains mostly concentrated in more densely-populated, coastal areas of the country, according to the Department of Energy (DOE).

(breitbart.com)  "Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg struggled Sunday on CBS’ Face the Nation to explain why the Biden administration has only managed to build “seven or eight” electric vehicle (EV) charging stations thus far.

"As Breitbart News has noted, while the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 allocated $7.5 billion for EV stations, as part of building a national EV charging infrastructure, no EV charging stations had been built by the end of 2023.

"Only about seven or eight had been built under the program by April — while the fossil fuel industry has been cashing in by lobbying to have the stations built at existing gas stations.

. . ."Major reasons for the delay include local zoning restrictions and red tape, which the Biden administration has not done much to cut through — unlike President Donald Trump, who tended to eliminate it wherever possible for his administration’s projects."

IT BEGINS: CBS Hypes A Potential 2028 Buttigieg Presidential Run (newsbusters.org)   "If you thought that the effort to make Pete Buttigieg into a thing has waned or diminished in light of his tenure as Secretary of Transportation, think again. CBS Sunday Morning leveraged a treacly Father’s Day profile of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and husband Chasten into an infomercial hyping a 2028 presidential run.

"Watch the end of the interview, as correspondent Jonathan Vigliotti asks the presidential question, and elicits an emotional response from Buttigieg:" . . .

From there the interview goes into the adoption process and into exaggerated puffing up of Buttigieg’s tenure as Transportation Secretary, leading viewers to infer the construction of a private railway between Las Vegas and Los Angeles as an accomplishment of his own. It is then that the interview winds down at the Department of Transportation, and with Buttigieg’s emotional nonanswer on 2028.
