Democrats Lust for Violence; "Political scientist: 2026 may be ‘most violent election in American history.’"

"And it’s more than past time for Democrat leaders to stand up and say their party’s seeming lust for violence must come to a full stop. But don’t hold your breath."

Study: 44 Percent of Democrats OK With Violence to Stop Trump

. . . The news story reported:

A quarter of American adults — including 44 percent of self-identified Democrats — say they support the use of force to prevent President Donald Trump from being president, according to a new survey’s findings described by University of Chicago political scientist Robert Pape.

Pape is also warning that the 2026 midterm elections could produce a level of political violence not seen in the U.S. in decades — and, under a worst-case scenario, could become “the most violent election in American history.

Well now. What to make of this? A full 44 percent of Democrats standing up for what is, in effect, a violent coup to overthrow the elected president of the United States?

"Offhand — what’s new?

"The underreported fact of history is that the Democratic Party is, in fact, trailing a long record of political violence.

"Take a trip down history’s memory lane.

"A hard historical fact is that the Democratic Party in its beginning days was historically aligned with, yes, the Ku Klux Klan. Indeed, it was notable that prominent Democrats of the day were members of the routinely violent Klan. That list includes, but is not limited to:

• Alabama U.S. Senator and later Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black
• Mississippi U.S. Senator Theodore Bilbo
• Georgia U.S. Senator Joseph Brown
• West Virginia Senator and Senate Democrat Leader Robert Byrd

"The list goes on, with some 40 Democrat pols at the federal, state, and local levels officially recorded as having Klan ties. And again, the Klan was well known for its addiction to violence.

"But there was more to the Left and its addiction to violence.

"A look back at the 1960s and one finds that whether it was rioting leftists at the 1968 Democrat Convention in Chicago or young leftists rioting against the Vietnam War on various college campuses through the 60s and beyond, not to mention riots in Democrat urban strongholds like Newark, Detroit, and New York, the historical record shows an American Left addicted to violence when protesting for their cause of the moment.
