"Woke One may have been “crazy,” but it did teach us two crucial lessons.
"One: You can never, ever be woke enough. Just ask progressive comic Amy Schumer, who made back-to-back comedies that got skewered by the woke mob—Snatched (2017) and I Feel Pretty (2018).
"Two? Never apologize. It only emboldens the mob. Roseanne Barr swiftly apologized after her racially charged tweet mocking Valerie Jarrett in 2018. ABC fired her anyway and killed off her character on a show she created back in the late 1980s.
"Apology definitely not accepted.
"So you can’t say Ed Sheeran didn’t see it coming. The pop superstar inexplicably hired Macklemore to open his current tour. The rapper quickly turned Sheeran’s stage into an anti-Israel screed, a pose that had nothing to do with Sheeran’s positive, apolitical brand.
"Macklemore didn’t care. So, when one of those screeds got Robert Kraft’s attention, the New England mogul directed Gillette Stadium, where the Sheeran tour was set to play, to block Macklemore from performing.
"'And, according to the rapper’s account, Kraft leaned on other venues to make the same demand.
"Now, Sheeran was stuck. He had to let Macklemore go, but he still felt the need to address the situation from his concert stage pulpit. So he two-sided it, blasting Hamas for Oct. 7 but spending far more time falsely suggesting Israel was committing genocide against the Palestinians.
"Sheeran’s attempt to Switzerland his way out of trouble only made things worse. The singer broke down in tears along the way, a move that only impressed Jimmy Kimmel.
"Now, an Irish radio station has banned his music, and the mostly peaceful pro-Palestinian mob has him in its sights. He lost his other opening acts as well as his backing band, which all joined Team Macklemore.
"And the blowback has only begun. He even lost Greta Thunberg!" . . . More.
