AOC’s faux lynching panic exposes the left’s poisonous racial delusions

 NY Post

"Pressley & Co. clearly hoped to stir up a social panic. But the weakness and irrationality of their argument serves only to underline their own profound and disturbing racial paranoia."

"Even paranoiacs have enemies, they say — but sometimes they’re just paranoid.

Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley, a founding member of The Squad, organized 59 Democrats to co-sign her letter demanding a federal investigation of a spate of supposed lynchings that never happened.

The document pronounced its signatories “extremely alarmed by reports of Black people found hanging from trees in numerous states throughout our country.“

“The series of deaths,“ the letter continues, “raises significant suspicion of foul play given the role of lynching in our nation’s history.”

Pressley and her colleagues call for a federal investigation of every hanging death of a black person in the United States, insisting that “inaction by the federal government is tantamount to complicity.“

The letter deems all of this “a national crisis.”

In a post on X, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said how proud she was to sign the missive.

She noted that “this year, there have already been 10 reported hangings of Black people in the US,” and how we must “address these widespread modern-day lynchings and put a stop to this racial terror.”

It apparently didn’t occur to AOC or any of the other signers to do Google searches of local-news stories about the hangings.

If they had, they would have learned that almost all of them were acts of suicide — awful in their own right, but hardly evidence that we are once again living in the Deep South circa 1892.

These news stories invariably recount how the local police have concluded a person found hanging on a tree killed him- or herself — as well as all the speculation on social media that something more insidious must have been at play.

In one horrifying case, a young African-American woman was found hanging from a tree outside an abandoned house in Jackson, Miss., and her death was indeed ruled a murder.

""A CNN report several days ago related the heightened scrutiny around the crime given “Mississippi’s long history of racial violence involving hangings.”

"The police have now arrested a 51-year-old suspect and charged him with murder.

"But he doesn’t advance the Pressley letter’s narrative — since he, too, is African American. " . . .   More.

Yet another Dem ripped online for 'inventing racism' as lawmakers peddle debunked 'lynching' claims   "An Ohio congresswoman is facing major blowback online after suggesting that lynchings are on the rise in the United States, despite that claim being widely debunked last week.

"In the last year, there’s been an alarming increase in Black Americans found dead hanging from trees. We know what that has meant throughout our history," said Rep. Shontel Brown, D-Ohio, on X. "That’s why I’ve joined [Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass.] to demand a federal investigation into possible lynchings." . .  .

She must be a disciple of Joy Reid, desperately wanting lynchings of blacks to be true. TD

Sen. John Fetterman's isolation from Democrats grows stark in Pennsylvania

 SFGATE

"While Fetterman has insisted he won't change parties, he hasn't ruled it out, saying the Democratic Party becoming anti-Israel would be a “red line" that would force him out."

"HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Around this time two years ago, Sen. John Fetterman was in high demand on the campaign trail, going county-to-county in Pennsylvania to help Democrats up and down the ballot.
Now, after two years of crossing swords with Democrats and backing some of President Donald Trump's priorities, he's nowhere on the stump.
No Democrat in the state wants to be seen with him. His approval ratings are better with Republicans — far better — than they are with Democrats. And a shadow primary of sorts is taking shape for Fetterman’s Senate seat in 2028, even if he runs again.
Fetterman has acknowledged his increasing isolation in the party as he maintains staunch support of Israel's war in Gaza and criticizes left-wing candidates who are members of the Democratic Socialists of America. He's often gone his own way in the Senate, voting repeatedly with Republicans to end the shutdown last year while supporting multiple Trump nominations and opposing efforts to end the war in Iran. He cemented that isolation with a video appearance at Wednesday night’s Republican Party convention in Dallas, praising his Republican counterpart, Pennsylvania Sen. David McCormick, and saying he’d work with Trump to “defend the steel way of life.”
“Why am I here talking to you today? Because, well, I’m a common-sense Democrat. I’m always going to stand with America,” Fetterman said, in a video showing him on the roof of his home in Braddock, Pennsylvania, with U.S. Steel's hulking Edgar Thomson steel mill visible over his shoulder. “I’m going to reject the extremes in socialism and that anti-American way of life.” . . . More.

In my personal Tunnel Wall survey, I find four out of four Democrats hate Fetterman and support Hamas. TD

Macklemore Gets Brutal Reality Check After 'Free Palestine' Stunt Blows Up in His Face

RedState

"Music industry professionals warn that Macklemore's increasingly unhinged radical political rants aren't good for business. Publicist Michael Levine, who has worked with dozens of Grammy-winning musicians, remarked, “Macklemore turned Ed Sheeran’s concert into a political rally. Apparently, the one thing the crowd wanted freed was the stage.'”

"You could say one concert tour currently making its way across the United States is now "Mackle-less." And that's because "rapper" Macklemore (real name: Benjamin Haggerty) has been yanked off of mega-star Ed Sheeran's sold-out tour for subjecting audiences to anti-Israel political rants, graphic images from Gaza, and chants of “Free Palestine” during his opening sets – all while wrapped in a keffiyeh.

"RedState's Brad Essex revealed all the ugly details last week, writing:

Wearing a keffiyeh, he told the crowd of more than 80,000 that he wanted people in Gaza and the West Bank to know they had not been forgotten. He led chants of “Free Palestine,” performed his song “Hind’s Hall,” and put Gaza footage and political images on the big screens. He tied the message to his own daughter and then expanded it to free America, Cuba, the Congo, Sudan, Iran, and people living in fear of ICE.

"This led to backlash from Sheeran's fans, who certainly hadn't paid good money to hear a political rant from the opening act, and prompted the Israeli-American Council to launch a petition asking both Sheeran and the tour organizers to remove Macklemore from the remaining U.S. dates.

And it sounds like they listened.

On Monday, Messina Touring Group, promoters of the U.S. leg of Sheeran’s Loop Tour, told Rolling Stone magazine, “We have been notified by venues on the upcoming U.S. tour dates that they will not allow a concert to take place with Macklemore on the lineup, which would result in the cancellation of the tour and impact hundreds of thousands of fans." . . .

Massachusetts: School Secretly Transitioned Girl, State Seized Her From Parents

Massachusetts Family Loses Custody of Daughter After Refusing to Affirm Her “Gender Identity” | WLT Report

"A family in Massachusetts is fighting to regain custody of their teenage daughter Sophie after the state took her away from them in 2024.

The reason?

Sophie’s parents, devout Catholics Joseph and Arlene Kutzko, refused to affirm her “gender identity” after her school — without their knowledge — brainwashed her into believing she is a boy.

On her Lighthouse Faith podcast, Fox News correspondent Lauren Green described this family’s nightmare situation:

Devout Catholic parents are fighting in court to regain custody of their 17-year-old daughter, Sophie, and stop Massachusetts authorities from medically transitioning her with high-dose testosterone. In December 2024, the Department of Children and Families (DCF) removed the then 15-year-old from her home because her parents, Joseph and Arlene Kutzko, would not recognize their daughter as a boy due to their faith–an identity change they allege staff at Algonquin Regional High School initiated in secret. Although physical abuse claims against Joseph were deemed unfounded, a permanent restraining order was issued against the family, and DCF cut off contact after the Kutzkos would not call Sophie by a male name or pronouns.

These devastated parents, who have not spoken to their daughter in nearly two years, are suing to bring her back home.

Meanwhile, she is being housed in a boys’ dormitory and has been put on birth control and psychiatric drugs.

The only silver lining is that a judge has temporarily blocked the state from giving her “gender-affirming” testosterone treatment, which would have lifelong, damaging effects." . . .

Be Very Suspicious of the ‘Put the Brakes on AI’ Crowd

Big Tech’s doomsday warnings come with a convenient regulatory solution.

The American Spectator | USA News and Politics

"Hell, two years ago the Obamas made a Netflix movie about the end of the world. Now Barack is telling his mini-me in Congress to push AI catastrophism as his dominant agenda should he take power. You’re hardly a conspiracy theorist if you don’t recognize the imperative of never letting a crisis go to waste."

AF Branco

"This is probably a take on the AI-will-kill-us-all debate that you haven’t seen. If it isn’t, let me commend you for the quality of your social media feed and/or your internet-surfing habits. But if you’re a regular reader of The American Spectator, you’ve hopefully picked up enough knowledge to be very skeptical of a classic information operation, and you recognized something fishy in the spectacle put on by the AI companies last week and over the weekend.

Specifically, that an employee who’d worked at both OpenAI and then at Anthropic resigned from the latter and released a missive complaining that nothing was being done to rein in the technology before it turns on the public and murders us all.

"No sooner did that little spectacle make the rounds online than both companies gave the “Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full” treatment to the ex-employee’s concerns, in ways which looked on first glance like typical crisis PR communications but then immediately pivoted to something else.

"Namely, a demand for Congress to slam on the brakes and regulate the AI industry.

"No sooner did that happen than the word leaked out that Barack Obama, whose presidential record consistently showed him to be an aficionado of turning every industry he could into a corporate oligopoly beholden to and embedded with an overweening regulatory state, had advised Democrat House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries to prioritize AI governance as the dominant agenda of his potential speakership should the Democrats carry the House majority in the midterms. (RELATED: AI: Technology the Left Love to Hate)

"Your pattern recognition skills should be kicking in at this point, and you should recognize this for what it is.

"We aren’t talking about the worry that a self-aware Skynet is about to begin manufacturing hunter-killer drones which make humanity extinct. We’re talking about something a lot older and far more tactile.

The AI Revolution Arrives   "What was wrong with horses?

"Well now. To say the least, who was this prognosticator sharing his wisdom on the future as seen from the increasingly car-swamped 20th century?" . . .

Virginia restores 9/11 teaching video that tells educators not to call hijackers 'terrorists' or associate attack with Islam

Fox News

"The 2021 Virginia Department of Education webinar by American University instructor Amaarah DeCuir tells teachers to identify 9/11 only as a “foreign attack” caused by “extremists” and says naming the hijackers is “not a relevant detail.”

What do these killers chant fervently as they commit those violent acts?

"Hate on 9/11: Actual footage of some Palestinians celebrating the 9/11 terrorist attacks against the United States in 2001. This footage was shown on CNN, MSNBC and FOX News. Still today, there are voices in Palestinian society who repeatedly embrace and praise terrorism - and it's not exclusive to Palestinian communities. There are voices of extremism throughout the Middle East and the world who praise and celebrate terrorism against Western countries.
If we are ever to defeat the plague of terrorism, we must expose and speak out against not only hate, but the celebration of hate."
If they didn't do it, they dug it. These are the kind of people who wear GoPro cameras to record their killing of families. Then they show the videos in downtown Gaza City for the non-extremists to cheer and enjoy. TD

When ideology overrides biology, it isn’t compassion — it’s harm dressed as progress.

The Transgender Mirage Is Cracking - American Thinker

"Reality, unlike ideology, does not need to be enforced. It simply waits and ultimately wins."

"For nearly a decade, Americans were told to deny what biology, common sense, and their own eyes made plain.
"Men could become women.
"Women could become men.
"Children were fully capable of choosing sterilizing hormones.
"Puberty blockers were “reversible.”
"And anyone who questioned any of it was a bigot.
"It was one of the most aggressive campaigns of magical thinking in modern public life.
"We were told sex was “assigned at birth,” as if doctors in delivery rooms were rolling dice rather than observing biological reality. Chromosomes, anatomy, and reproductive function were suddenly deemed less important than feelings. Centuries of scientific understanding were brushed aside in favor of slogans and hashtags.
"No civilization in history believed this.
"Then, almost overnight, we were expected not only to accept it but also to celebrate it.
"The issue was never about adults making personal choices. Free people can live as they wish.
"The scandal was always about the children.
"Adolescence is messy. Teenagers often feel anxious, awkward, alienated, and uncomfortable in their own skin. That used to be called growing up — a phase most eventually outgrow.
"Then activists rebranded ordinary distress as evidence of being “born in the wrong body.”
"This is magical thinking." . . .  More.

What Happens When We Elect People Who Hate America to Congress? This.

 Robert Spencer – PJ Media

"Well, it’s understandable that a socialist would be looking for a handout, but if [Mamdani] really wants this terror money, he should rein in his soon-to-be congressional friends."

"Yeah, elections sure do have consequences. Given the moribund state of the Republican Party in New York City, two socialists, Darializa Avila-Chevalier and Claire Valdez, are virtually certain to enter the House of Representatives next January, and they’re already excitedly making plans for the damage they’re going to do to the nation’s largest city, and the nation as a whole, once they get there.

"The New York Post, which should rename itself Chronicles of a Sinking Ship, reported Sunday that Avila-Chevalier and Valdez “are plotting a socialist push in DC even before being elected — and it could cost the Big Apple more than $215 million in crucial anti-terror funds.”

Uncle Paul's Parodies
"Now, why would a couple of socialists, one of whom (Avila-Chevalier) is a convert to Islam, want to deny the city that sustained the largest jihad terror attack in the history of this country funding to protect itself from further such attacks? Avila-Chevalier has so much contempt for
the United States that on Dec. 23, 2019, she wrote: “I forgot to get napkins so I just wiped my hand on the American flag behind me.” She followed this message with a happy-face emoji.

"In 2021, she reposted the statement that “a world without borders — just like a world without prisons or police — is possible, necessary, and the only moral way forward.” She also reposted messages saying “Yes, literally, abolish the border,” and that “all deportation is wrong.” Before she decided to enter politics, she listed her location as “Lenapehoking (NYC)” — a name radical leftists like to use, claiming it’s the indigenous name for New York City.

"She has disavowed all this now, because she knows it will lose her some votes, but there is no genuine indication that she has changed her thinking in any serious way. So here is an avowed socialist internationalist who hates America; why should she want terror funding to go to America’s most important city?" . . . More.

Transforming 9/11 Into Trump Derangement Syndrome

. . . The left in this country praises executive power when it is used for liberal purposes. When conservatives use it, however, it supposedly becomes dangerous. And when Donald Trump uses it, the sky is about to fall on American democracy. The authors, who participated in administrations whose foreign policies helped to create the dangers we now face abroad, blame Donald Trump for his relentless efforts to eliminate or lessen those dangers. This is how Trump Derangement Syndrome even affects commemorations of 9/11."

Don’t Believe the Hype About James Talarico UPDATED

From Texas come Beto O'Rourke and Talarico. Do you see something ominous here?

Kurt Schlichter

They’re not thrilled with Ken Paxton, but they find Talarico kind of weird. With a little bit of gentle probing, it’s clear most of them don’t know the full range of this guy’s bizarre woke beliefs, casual heresies, and general freakishness.

Talarico is all hat, no cattle

"When Vice President JD Vance told the midterm convention audience that he had absolutely no desire to see James Talarico’s browser history, it got a good laugh. Talarico has that weird, smarmy creepiness thing going on, combined with casual blasphemy, a hatred of capitalism, and the sensibilities of a white-wine woman who works in HR and celebrates Kwanzaa. He’s a terrible fit for America, and an unimaginable fit for Texas.

"But people are imagining it. They’re imagining it hard, especially people outside Texas. If you listen to the pollsters- and you should never listen to the pollsters- he’s either neck-and-neck with Ken Paxton or beating the TX AG handily. The smart set contends that Texas is about to tumble into the blue chasm at the hands of a guy who’s less Beto’s heir than Pete Buttigieg’s grinning Mini-Me. So, I decided, now that I’m back at my Texas house for the fall, to see for myself what’s really going on. Here’s what I found.

"Not much. I am not seeing the Talaricomania.

"I was here in Texas during Betomania, and the big difference is that Betomania existed. He excited people. He was young and cute, and they were willing to overlook his communism and his furry dalliance to surf his sporty vibe. You saw Beto signs everywhere, and you could also feel that people were interested in the guy. In the end, he came pretty close to beating Sen. Ted Cruz (T-TX). But close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, and #MeToo allegations, which Talarico’s allies seem to have planted about him as part of a strategy of deception." . . . More.

‘Right-hand-man’ son of genocidal Somali dictator who killed 200,000 found living in Ohio, linked to $1.8M Medicare firm

Perhaps he can seek asylum in Minnesota with Gov. Tim Walz. May we assume he votes Democrat? TD

“[Barre’s] red beret soldiers were going door-to-door in civilian homes, rounding up young men and children as young as 12 and they murdered them in cold blood."

Barre poses with military officers and senior regime officials in Mogadishu,
Somalia, in 1969

"The children of bloodthirsty Somali dictator Siad Barre, whose rule left as many as 200,000 people dead, are quietly living in the US — alongside victims of his regime.

"The Post located the despot’s “right-hand man” son Ayanle and daughter Deka Mohamed Siad, in Columbus, Ohio, where they lead unassuming suburban lives.

"However, among the wider Somali community, their presence is a painful reminder of the regime and some are calling for US authorities to investigate.

"“Siad Barre and his men committed so many war crimes so I was shocked to see his son [Ayanle] in the mosque enjoying his freedom,” Ali-Guban Mohamed, 64, told The Post.

"'My family were rounded up in a small township called Agabur and executed. Their bodies were put into a well and that was happening across the board." . . .More.

NBC vs. the Holdout Juror

Desperate for ratings, an NBC-owned TV station crusades against a hero

Don Surber

"Consider AOC. She got away with saying there were 10 lynchings of black people this year. The media repeated her without context. X did not. It added a community note to her tweet."

The harpies at NBC10 (WBTS) in Boston have the name, rank and serial number of the juror who believed Lindsay Clancy when she said she killed her children. The outlet is owned and operated by NBC. Station personnel have no legal right to know his name and in fact, may have violated the law in obtaining the name.

Nevertheless, NBC10 is airing a string of stories about his divorce and his financial woes in an effort to discredit him.

The station is going after the juror because his refusal to go-along-to-get-along and acquit her is unpopular among the liberals who dominate the area. The station’s management is using the juror to attract viewers and advertisers to the station’s broadcasts.

NBC10 is usually last in the ratings among the five English-language local newsrooms behind WCVB (ABC), WHDH (independent), WBZ (CBS) and WFXT (Fox) in that order—and has been fifth in this five-channel race since 2017.

Oh, I am sure the reporters going after the man believe they are heroes in their crusade to expose a private citizen who did his duty and served on a jury. Wait, since 9/11, journalists no longer call themselves crusading journalists. They say investigative reporters instead.

Besides, exposing the hero’s record just may be the ticket out of Beantown to network stardom.

"But the station is undermining the integrity of the judiciary. Far from being helpful, in Boston, NBC10’s freedom of the press is doing serious damage to our country

"NBC10 should not know the juror’s name because the judge impounded the list of the names of jurors. His fellow jurors likely ratted him out. The station justifies its use of his name and its unethical attacks on his reputation by saying, well, at least we’re not disclosing his name.

"But we are hearing only one side of the story." . . . More.

"Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said, “A man objected to allowing a woman to kill her three young kids and get away with it, so NBC is trying to smear that juror, whose identity should be protected. Another low for legacy media."

We must recall that NBC was once the famous MSNBC; now MSNOW. TD
