Trump L'oeil*

HopeNChangeCartoons  . . . "If you support Trump, then why not have faith that in the coming months his good qualities will become apparent to everyone? And why not turn down the volume on your attacks on other conservatives so we can hear what Mr. Trump has to say?

"Now, for all of those who define themselves as "Never Trump"...

obama, obama jokes, political, humor, cartoon, conservative, hope n' change, hope and change, stilton jarlsberg, trump, never trump

"Not to be unsubtle, but with Hillary Clinton cackling in the wings, declaring yourself to be in the "Never Trump" camp is insane.  If you don't want to support Trump on election day, so be it (we're still unsure about it ourselves). But why make up your mind now and declare that you'll reject all further evidence and developments?

"A lot can happen in half a year. Legal troubles could take Hillary out of the race. Obama might (and surely will) further degrade the country. The economy could crash, and terror might again scar our nation.

"Or on a more positive note, over the next 6 months we might see The Donald assemble a stellar team to take into the White House, hear refinements to his bold plans that make them practicable, and get greater insight to his character and complexity of thought.

"Hope n' Change doesn't know which way things will go and neither does anyone else. So let's all take a deep, cleansing breath and agree that unity will be necessary to beat Hillary, but such unity will take time to develop naturally.

"Neither adversarial aggressiveness nor intractable close-mindedness will help that process.

*"ABOUT TODAY'S TITLE   If our punning title left you scratching your head, allow us to explain. There is a style of art (traditionally murals) called Trompe L'oeil - which is French for "Deceive the Eye.' "
. . .
"And that's where we're at right now with Trump L'oeil - trying to separate the illusion from the reality." (How to Pronounce Trompe L'oeil)

"The Justice Department announced Thursday that the U.S. government will no longer refer to convicted criminals as convicts or felons. They feel that using pejorative labels stigmatizes large numbers of minority men. O.J. Simpson is not a murderer or an armed robber, he’s legally challenged." Comedian Argus Hamilton

This president witnessed tyranny in action

World Net Daily

Harry S. Truman
When America was in good hands with Democrats
". . . Roosevelt wrote to King Abdul Aziz ibn Saud, promising that as long as he was president, America would not recognize a Jewish state: “I communicated to you the attitude of the American government toward Palestine … that no decision be taken. … I assured you that I would take no action, in my capacity as Chief of the Executive … with regard to the question of Palestine … the policy of this government … is unchanged.”
"[Within] a week of making this promise, the ailing Roosevelt died.
"The next chief of the executive was President Harry S. Truman, who immediately proceeded with plans to recognize the state of Israel.
"In his “Memoirs – Volume Two: Years of Trial and Hope,” published in 1956, Harry S. Truman stated: “When I was in the Senate, I had told my colleagues, Senator Wagner of New York and Senator Taft of Ohio, that I would go along on a resolution putting the Senate on record in favor of the speedy achievement of the Jewish homeland.”
"President Truman commented . . . “The American view on Palestine is that we want to let as many of the Jews into Palestine as it is possible to let into that country.”
"President Truman wrote to Winston Churchill, July 24, 1945: “The drastic restrictions imposed on the Jewish immigration by the British White Paper of May, 1939, continue to provoke passionate protest from Americans most interested in Palestine and in the Jewish problem. They fervently urge the lifting of these restrictions which deny to Jews, who have been so cruelly uprooted by ruthless Nazi persecutions, entrance into the land which represents for so many of them their only hope of survival.' ” . . .

What Chance Would a Third-Party Candidate Have?

"Of course, there’s one last option: learning to love Trump. Decide for yourself what’s most realistic."
comicallyincorrect
National Review   "It’s time for a look at the anti-Trump field."
"If the House decides the election, Hillary will have no chance. So Utah and the Democratic delegations would vote Romney in preference to Trump, along — presumably — with the three tied delegations, which would be forced to compromise. That would give Trump a 31 to 19 lead. Could Romney win over enough Republican representatives to pick up seven more delegations?

"It’s possible." . . .
. . .
"Would it be hard to get Sanders into the race as a third-party candidate? I doubt it. This is his big year — and with Romney in the race too, he would have a slight chance of actually winning. If he did get in, he and Hillary would split the vote in reliably Democratic states, opening the door for Trump or Romney. " . . .

UPDATED, Monday, May 9th: Obama’s Last Act Is To Force The Suburbs To Be Less Wealthy And Less White

UPDATE: Meet Julian Castro, who has big plans  "Be afraid; be very afraid!" Fear this man, Obama, Hillary and the Democrat Party.
"Ironically, Hillary’s own hometown of Chappaqua is fighting Section 8 housing because of links to drugs and crime and other problems."

"Naturally, not diverse or redistributive enough.
"Via NY Post:
Hillary’s rumored running mate, Housing Secretary Julian Castro, is cooking up a scheme to reallocate funding for Section 8 housing to punish suburbs for being too white and too wealthy.
The scheme involves super-sizing vouchers to help urban poor afford higher rents in pricey areas, such as Westchester County, while assigning them government real-estate agents called “mobility counselors” to secure housing in the exurbs.
Castro plans to launch the Section 8 reboot this fall, even though a similar program tested a few years ago in Dallas has been blamed for shifting violent crime to affluent neighborhoods.
It’s all part of a grand scheme to forcibly desegregate inner cities and integrate the outer suburbs.

Pandering Hillary Congratulates First Muslim Mayor Of London…

Weasel Zippers
Does "human rights" include those of non-Muslims? We'll see shortly.

TruthDig
Obviously the choice of the British people. Do Democrats have a statement to make regarding the reference to the "Jew Mayor"?  I thought not.

Singer Nicole Nordeman's 'Slow Down' Song Perfectly Captures Moms' Thoughts in Time for Mother's Day

"I don't know of a more uttered or whispered phrase from a mother of any age, about her child of any age, than 'It's going by too fast,'" Nordeman shared in a statement with The Christian Post about why she penned this song. "I feel like I spend my life trying to slow time. Trying to celebrate the growth and milestones of my children, and then secretly daydreaming about building a time machine in my garage, so I can return to rocking my babies at midnight. If you've ever looked at your child running across a field, or striding across a graduation stage, or walking down the middle aisle of a church clutching a bouquet, you'll know why this song is special to me."
The video has certainly struck a chord with viewers around the world. Thousands of viewers on Facebook have shared their comments and support.

Jamba Juice Fleeing High Cost California For North Texas…

Weasel Zippers

jamba juice

The parent company of Bay Area-based Jamba Juice is picking up and leaving the Bay Area in order to relocate its corporate headquarters to suburban Dallas, the company has said.
The retailer, which has 885 corporate- and franchise-owned juice stores, has joined several other corporations to pick up and leave the Golden State for the Lone Star State.
“With the pending expiration of our lease in Emeryville at the end of 2016, we explored a number of location options that would offer us competitive operating costs, a region with extensive access to skilled restaurant talent, an attractive cost of living to our current and future team members, and a geographical location that facilitates our ability to expand our store base,” David A. Pace, CEO of Jamba said in a statement published in the Dallas Morning News. “The State of Texas meets all of these criteria and Frisco is a community committed to healthy living that aligns closely with our overall mission.”
Frisco is a booming suburb north some 25 miles north of Dallas and located in Collin County. The North Texas area already boasts corporate headquarters for such corporate giants as J.C. Penney, American Airlines and Southwest Airlines. The area is also preparing to welcome the new North American headquarters of Toyota, which is leaving Southern California in order to relocate to the Dallas area." . . .

Charles C.W. Cooke: Romanian Hacker Claims He Got Inside Hillary Clinton’s Private Server

Political Cartoons by Michael Ramirez

NRO  . . . “ 'Guccifer” hasn’t provided any hard evidence yet. But he’ll be questioned soon by the FBI. For the sake of argument, suppose that, as he claims, he still has copies of the e-mails he supposedly downloaded (he says he has “two gigabytes” of data). There’s no way that wouldn’t be absolutely devastating to Clinton.

18 USC 793(f)(1)-(2) holds that:
Whoever, being entrusted with or having lawful possession or control of any document, writing, code book, signal book, sketch, photograph, photographic negative, blueprint, plan, map, model, instrument, appliance, note, or information, relating to the national defense,
     (1) through gross negligence permits the same to be removed from its proper place of custody or delivered to anyone in violation of his trust, or to be lost, stolen, abstracted, or destroyed, or
     (2) having knowledge that the same has been illegally removed from its proper place of custody or delivered to anyone in violation of its trust, or lost, or stolen, abstracted, or destroyed, and fails to make prompt report of such loss, theft, abstraction, or destruction to his superior officer— Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.
As far as I can see, Clinton is guilty of violating at least two federal laws regardless of whether Guccifer can corroborate his claims."

Why was news just leaked that Huma Abedin was questioned by FBI a month ago?

"There is some reason to believe that the anonymous “officials” leaking the story are from the State Department, which has consistently spun in Hillary’s favor." . . .

Thomas Lifson  "The Clinton spin machine went into high gear yesterday.  A series of leaks to the media cascaded out a day after Catherine Herridge of Fox News broke the story that Romanian hacker Guccifer told her that he had easily been able to hack into her private email server, and browse through the emails that we now know contained material of the highest classification.  Notably, NBC News had access to this information earlier, but sat on it for weeks, leaving the scoop to Fox News, which is bizarre behavior for a purported news organization.  But then again, other mainstream media largely have ignored the Fox scoop.

"But they are not ignoring the leaks about Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s closest aide, being grilled by the FBI for two hours a month ago.  Other Clinton aides, reportedly, also have been interviewed.  Who is doing the leaking and why now are two important questions.  My gut tells me that we are being played, that it is the Clinton camp spinning the arrival of bad news via anonymous sources. "
. . .
"While I have little confidence in the Justice Department when it comes to acting on whatever information is developed by the FBI in its investigations, I take the timing and nature of the spin effort underway as a signal that the Clinton camp realizes that some bad news is coming the way of Hillary.  I am not alone in my suspicions."

Justice Department extremists

American Thinker   "I'm confused!  Just a few days ago, a 19-year-old boy was arrested for showing his private parts in a class picture.  Yet if this same boy or another boy said he has always felt like a girl in a boy’s body and paraded his private parts around in women’s restrooms and women’s locker rooms, it would be a violation of his civil rights, according to the Justice Department, if anyone tried to prevent it.

"Don’t the girls also have rights not to worry that a boy would walk in while they were changing or going to the bathroom?

"This Justice Department, which believes that people have the right to pick and choose what facilities they use based on how they feel, has considered legal action against people who say they believe that the climate has always changed naturally instead of agreeing with the government's edicts.  The First Amendment has no meaning with the Obama administration.

"How, in the United States or anywhere, can it be considered an extremist view and against the law to require that a person who has male body parts to use male facilities and a person with female body parts to use female facilities?

"Who are the real extremists?

"Is it any wonder that less than 30% of the country thinks we are headed in the right direction?"
