Here is how we'll save dying Cracker Barrel with quirky menu items, paint job and price rises

 Daily Mail Online

"Last year, Cracker Barrel was accused of 'going woke' when the restaurant lined its front porches with rainbow-colored rocking chairs during Pride Month - and customers even boycotted the chain, which has locations in 45 states."

"Masino, who joined nine months ago from Taco Bell, outlined the five pillars of improvement in the earnings call. DailyMail.com listened to it - and we summarize the plan below.

" 'The brand has lost some of its shine and particularly post-pandemic,' she said. 'But to ignite growth, we must revitalize the brand.'

" 'Cracker Barrel is an iconic brand, but even iconic brands have to evolve. We know from our research that despite high levels of consumer affinity, we're just not as relevant as we once were,' Masino said." . . .

Fear Trump—or Bust? › Victor Davis Hanson

 American Greatness (amgreatness.com)

Trumpophobia (fright over Trump) is cresting with his polls.

"As Trump continues to show leads in critical swing states, as various lawfare-inspired cases against him seem to the public to be more persecutions than prosecutions, and as Joe Biden appears daily more incoherent and lost, the left on spec has resorted to warning the nation about all the supposedly catastrophic consequences of a future Trump presidency.

"Ironically, the left seems oblivious to the reality that one reason Trump leads Biden in the polls is precisely because voters can compare the four-year record of the prior Trump presidency to Biden’s last 40 months.

"Recently, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez warned that Trump will conspire with oil executives to spike gasoline prices. But even after Biden drained the strategic petroleum reserve before the 2022 midterms and is now again doing the same as the 2024 election approaches, gas prices have averaged only one-third cheaper than under Trump.

"Trump tried to top off the reserve but was blocked by Democrats in Congress. Nevertheless, he left Biden a nearly full reservoir of 638 million barrels (about 90 percent full), which Biden has now drained by some 270 million barrels to the present 51 percent full—and the levels are falling further as voting nears.

"We are warned that 77-year-old Trump looks haggard after his long hours in court. He seems sleepy, we are told. He has aged terribly, the media tell us. But polls show that concern over Biden’s dementia greatly outweighs normal worry over septuagenarian candidate Trump.

"Why would any sane pro-Biden handler bring up Trump’s supposed gait or occasional forgotten word when that only reminds the public of the contrast with Biden, whose speeches seem delivered in something other than English and whose transcripts must be heavily edited to airbrush away his incoherence?

"We are told that Trump will increase racial tensions. Almost daily, blacks and Hispanics are warned that Trump is a racist—even as polls show that he may well receive the highest percentage of minority votes by any Republican in modern history and has some chance of winning outright the Hispanic vote. Oddly, the media is now attacking minorities on the Marxist principle of false consciousness, as if they are deluded into voting against themselves rather than being perceptive critics of the Biden disaster of high inflation, green mania, a deluge of illegal aliens, and loss of deterrence abroad.

"It was not Trump, but Biden, who, during the last election cycles, called one African-American journalist a “junkie” and warned another podcaster, “You ain’t black,” if he voted for Trump. And during his presidency, on occasion, Biden has referred to black subordinates as “boy,” uses the ossified term “Negro,” and has a long history of racist drivel and smears, from “put y’all back in chains” to referencing Barack Obama as the first “clean” and “articulate” presidential candidate to proudly reminding us that his home state of Delaware was once a “slave state." . . .”

Joe Biden spends his Memorial Day weekend celebrating George Floyd

Why cannot Democrats feel shame over what they have become? The generation that gave us Antifa and honors Hamas is the one Biden panders to here. Sadly, he may be right. As British Journalist Sophie Corcoran bitterly noted:

The Tunnel Dweller

 Monica Showalter - American Thinker

The Memorial Day weekend is on us, so quite a few people were surprised to see Joe Biden tweeting about this instead of our selfless servicemen who paid the ultimate sacrifice: . . .

. . ."Nothing good came of the death of George Floyd, a career criminal whose death, while a tragedy for him, was a pretty preventable one. As for the public, his death and the radical response, driven to some extent by Cuban and Venezuelan agents, was a disaster.

"Yet even though someone called May 25 "George Floyd Day," it's outrageous to see it cut into the Memorial Day weekend, which is a period of solemn observance for those servicemen and servicewomen who gave their lives for something good -- our country.

"Biden's nattering on about Floyd at the most inappropriate of times calls to mind that he's been pretty hellish as commander in chief. He has yet to make right the COVID vaccine mandate which drove many topflight members of the service from the service. Military housing remains dilapidated, while military paychecks have been ravaged by Bidenflation.

"Biden lost Afghanistan, leaving that country in shambles and in the hands of the Taliban while our enemies snickered. Worse still, thirteen U.S. servicemembers lost their lives at the hands of these monsters and Biden stared at his watch as their coffins were brought into the U.S. He silenced the families of these servicemembers who paid the ultimate sacrifice at his State of the Union address. And as Memorial Day rolls around, he has yet to bring up these casualties of his military incompetence, who ought to be honored on Memorial Day.

"He has since lost a major military base in Niger while U.S. troops were held hostage, gotten the U.S. mired in a war in Ukraine, and foolishly schemed to use the U.S. military to build a pier to Gaza for humanitarian aid has since seen broken off and fallen away and washed onto some Gaza beach, $350 million down the drain.

"Memorial Day is a special day, it's not to honor veterans, or first responders, however worthy they genuinely are. It's to honor the fallen in U.S. wars and nothing else." . . .

That Biden has yet to understand this, and instead demonstrates that it's somehow about George Floyd only goes to underscore how unfit he is as commander in chief.

Biden Campaign Gets Dismantled by Tim Scott for Dishonest Ad

 Rebecca Downs (townhall.com)

Bash segued into talking about the dishonest Biden ad by bringing up the Bronx rally that Trump held last Thursday.

Bookworm Room

. . ."More recently, in his remarks from March, Trump was clearly talking about "a bloodbath" in the economic sense, specifically to do with the U.S. auto industry.

"Those remarks abut how he "vowed to be a dictator" were clearly made in jest, as he himself confirmed. If anyone "wants revenge on his enemies," that would be Biden, championing the criminal trials against Trump as a form of election interference.

"That the Biden campaign would target black voters specifically with such an ad is interesting. Do they think that black voters are not informed enough to see through the lies?

"As the clip aired for CNN viewers, Scott was specifically asked "what do you say to black Americans, black voters who watch that ad and share those concerns about Donald Trump?" He's been a fitting campaign surrogate for Trump since he endorsed him for president ahead of the New Hampshire Primary in January, despite himself running for president, though he dropped out last November. This includes assisting with getting Trump support from black voters." . . .

Fed Up With Anti-Israel Demonstrations On College Campuses? 60% Of All Voters Agree

  I&I/TIPP Poll – Issues & Insights

"Americans are fed up with it, and overwhelmingly oppose the campus activism supporting it. It doesn’t at all seem unlikely that this is yet another thing that registered voters will have on their minds when they step into the voting booth in November."

. . ."Many average Americans expressed shock at the sudden violent, and well-organized, demonstrations and tent cities that sprang up at universities around the nation, largely in support of Hamas and the destruction of Israel.

"A solid majority of Americans are not happy with this, according to May’s national online I&I/TIPP Poll of 1,435 adults, taken May 1-3. Some 60% of all those said they either disapprove “somewhat” (18%) or “strongly” (42%) with the demonstrations.

"The poll has a margin of error of +/-2.6 percentage points.

"A far smaller total of 24% said they either supported the demonstrations “strongly” (9%) or “somewhat” (15%). Another 16% said they were “not sure.”

"But the repudiation of the demonstrations is not across the board, at least when it comes to the demographics of the respondents.

"Among Democrats, for instance, 32% said they supported the demonstrations and encampments, while a mere plurality of 48% said they didn’t support the activities.

"That compares with 16% of Republicans and 22% of independents who expressed support, with 73% and 61%, respectively, responding that they did not support the at-times violent demonstrations." . . .

Cruz Flips the Script on Code Pink When They Try to Corner Him, Exposes What They're Really About

Nick Arama – RedState  "As we reported. last week, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) demolished Antony Blinken when the Secretary of State testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee regarding Joe Biden's catastrophic foreign policy. In particular, he ripped into Blinken about how they'd helped our enemies and alienated our friends, and how the world was much more dangerous as a result. He pointed out how, despite their claimed sanctions against Iran, Iran had increased the number of barrels of oil it was selling from 300,000 to two million a day.

"But there was a little bit more drama after that beatdown when Code Pink tried to do a "gotcha moment" on him in the hallway coming out of the hearing. Imagine people being this twisted to act as though it's Israel that's the evil one in the fight for their lives against the Hamas terrorists. But Cruz was ready and delivered a healthy dose of reality to the radical activists.". . .

Douglas Murray: ICC’s Karim Khan ‘playing right into the hands of Hamas’

Youtube   "Author Douglas Murray has called out ICC chief prosecutor Karim Khan as an “ideologue” who is “playing right into the hands of Hamas”.

"The ICC is seeking arrest warrants for three leaders of Hamas, as well as Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Defence Minister. " ;[ICC prosecutor Karim Khan] is an ideologue. The court has no jurisdiction over this, and it is simply a smear,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “ 'Khan is playing right into the hands of Hamas, whether he means to do so or not.”

What the top U.S. Nazi hunter thinks of claims that Israel is committing genocide

 Gabby Deutch (jewishinsider.com)

“That is how World War II ended in Europe on May 8, 1945. We, the Allies, did not say to the Hitler regime, ‘Well, OK, you will have a permanent cease-fire, but you can stay in power and you can have a few battalions of mobile killing units.’ No, it doesn’t work that way,” Rosenbaum said.

For more than four decades, Eli Rosenbaum’s job was to track down the bad guys: He was a professional Nazi hunter, the leader of a famed Justice Department unit that pioneered unique methods to uncover evidence of Nazi atrocities and bring Nazis to justice decades past the end of World War II. Before he retired early this year, he led a special DOJ team tasked with identifying Russian war criminals who were violating international law in Ukraine.

"Rosenbaum thinks there’s another genocide happening today, or at least that the world is on the precipice of one. But it’s not the genocide that’s currently being prosecuted at the Interational Court of Justice, which is considering whether Israel is committing a genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. No — the only possible genocide Rosenbaum sees is the genocidal intent of Hamas, and he told Jewish Insider he’s shocked to see so many people in halls of power and on college campuses argue that Israel is at fault in its retaliatory war.

"“I see a lot through the prism of World War II, which was the last time that the Jews were targeted for annihilation, the last genocide of the Jews,” Rosenbaum said in a wide-ranging interview last week. “It’s Hamas that can stop this war, not Israel, in my view, but there isn’t anything close to sufficient understanding of that out in the world. It’s just an unprecedented threat. It’s — and it pains me to say this — a credible threat of genocide,” Rosenbaum added, referring to the threat that Hamas still poses to Israel.

"Now that he’s out of government and able to speak freely about current events, Rosenbaum wants to use his voice to right what he thinks is a morally wrong view of what’s happening in the Middle East. His experience in prosecuting perpetrators of the world’s worst crime is what guides his thinking on the matter.

“ 'I’ve worked on Nazi cases for all those decades, and I just see a lot through that lens,” he said. On a trip to Israel early this year, he visited a cousin who lives in Holon, a suburb of Tel Aviv. The family’s safe room is a small room under the stairs with reinforced walls. That’s where they hide when red-alert rocket sirens go off in central Israel, warning of a rocket attack from Gaza.

" 'It was very, very sad, and to me kind of evokes images of the Holocaust of Jews hiding under floorboards and in closets and wherever they could,” said Rosenbaum." . . .

Democrats’ latest bad poll: 1 in 5 Latino voters considers party switch

  Vox

"Since 2020, one of the major questions hanging over the 2024 election is whether Latino voters will continue to ditch Democrats in favor of the GOP. Now, a new national poll of Latino voters offers some warning signs for Republicans as well as Democrats as the general election crystallizes: A sizable chunk of Latino voters appear to be willing to rethink their party loyalties.

"Some 19.4 percent, or about one in five Latino voters, say they have considered changing their political affiliation either by switching parties or becoming independents, according to a national survey released by Florida International University (FIU) and the marketing firm Adsmovil. A majority of those wavering voters (61.1 percent) say they’d be open to leaving the Democratic Party and a plurality of those Democratic waverers (38.1 percent) would become Republicans.

"Though that’s a small share of all Latino voters, that’s still a significant number for a demographic group whose loyalty to Democrats has been eroding since Donald Trump’s presidency." . . .

Hillary Clinton Blames Women Voters for her Loss to Trump

 Karen Townsend – HotAir

Hillary lost because she was unlikeable. She didn't bother to campaign in Wisconsin. She called half the country 'deplorables.' She deserved to lose to her former friend Donald Trump.

"Hillary Clinton has blamed everyone under the sun for her loss in 2016 to Donald Trump, except herself. Eight years later, she blames women voters for not supporting her run for president.

"Hillary gave an extensive interview for a book coming out about abortion and the Supreme Court's decision in Dobbs that sent abortion back to the states. She criticized Democrats for not fighting harder against former President Trump's choices for the Supreme Court.

"Clinton said she lost women voters because of the investigation into her use of a private email server. There was also the matter of the thousands of emails she deleted.

Clinton reflected on the role that sexism played in the 2016 campaign, claiming that FBI director James Comey re-opened a last-minute investigation into her private email to raise questions about her judgment, calling her “extremely careless.”

That widely-covered move cost her the race — and the female vote, she speculated.

“But once he did that to me, the people, the voters who left me, were women,” she told the Times.

“They left me because they just couldn’t take a risk on me, because as a woman, I’m supposed to be perfect. They were willing to take a risk on Trump — who had a long list of, let’s call them flaws, to illustrate his imperfection — because he was a man, and they could envision a man as president and commander in chief.”

"Poor Hillary. Always the victim." . . .

Tulsi Gabbard Exposes The DARK TRUTH About Hillary’s Evil Machine

"Tulsi Gabbard Exposes The DARK TRUTH About Hillary's Evil Machine | 'It All Starts With Epstein...' "

"Lets crank it up here, Sir"; Biden West Point Speech: Brain Breaks, Tells Tall Tales, 'Please Clap' Moment, With Embarrassing End; UPDATED, 5/27

RedState "Joe Biden is in Wilmington, Delaware, for yet another vacation. He did, however, take a brief sojourn from the vacation to go to West Point to deliver the commencement address.

"Biden previously gave a commencement address that got heavily criticized -- and rightly so -- for being a race-baiting mess. " . . .
"Other speakers spoke about what leadership meant and duty, honor, and country. What a thought, that you have Biden then speaking to them -- a man who constantly lies and makes up things out of whole cloth. And he went right there, with another huge lie, when he finally spoke to the class. He of course spoke about football. He said that he was given an appointment to the Naval Academy but he claimed he didn't go because Roger Staubach and Joe Bellino were playing there.

. . ." 'Never forget that America is the strongest when we lead not only by the example of our power but the power of our example," he said. Then no one clapped, and that apparently irked him. "You can clap for that," he groused.

"Then came the diplomas.  But this was something else. After Biden had been handing out the diplomas for a short while, he was interrupted by one of the West Point officials and moved to the back. You can hear the officer say, "Let's crank it up," and then they had to speed up the process:

UPDATE, 5/27: comment from "students" on Biden's speech:

Some answers from 'Joe Biden delivered a speech at U.S. Military Academy at West Point today. What do you think the students there think of him?'

Gerald F: 'What any non-Woke American soldier would think: What the Hell did we do to deserve this shambling cadaver's stumbling accolades?'

Dave J: 'Those of polite, conservative leanings and background, were quietly embarrassed and sad. Those of liberal leanings, were ideologically blinkered and wallowed in the glory of his blithering senility and ineptitude.'

Susan M: 'I hope they were disgusted but I didn't hear it.'

A terrorist dry run

Mike McDaniel - American Thinker. . ."Two Jordanians who may have been doing a “dry run for Al Qaeda or ISIS” have been arrested after allegedly trying to scam and then ram their way onto a US marine base in Virginia with a truck.

AF Branco

. . ."Was this a dry run for a car bombing attack? Obviously it was an intelligence gathering mission, but to what end and for which terrorist group(s)? Thus far, all the Biden Terrorist Welcoming Administration has suggested is both will be deported.

"Deported?! Two illegals, almost certainly Muslims from a nation not particularly fond of America, try to force their way onto a Marine base, and the government isn’t releasing any additional information and is sending them back to their handlers?

"Despite increasing warnings about imminent terrorist attacks, the Biden Administration obviously doesn’t consider informing the public politically smart. Trying to preserve and protect Hamas doesn’t fit well with effectively dealing with terrorist dry runs on CONUS military installations.

"Not only is Biden negotiating for terrorists, he’s making more than clear Muslim votes are far more important than the lives of our CONUS troops and dependents. What a surprise."

Like terrorists in the White House - Lynne Lechter . . ."Which brings us to Israel. When Hamas jumped over the border from Gaza and brutally gang-raped, mutilated, burned alive, beheaded and kidnapped Israelis and foreign nationals staying in Israel, Biden rushed to Israel's side, stating unequivocally that he stood with Israel. Until he didn’t.

"Eventually thwarted by Biden,  who slowed Israel’s military progress with impossible demands to protect the “innocent Gazans,” over seven and one half months later, more than one hundred and twenty hostages, dead or alive, remain in the hands of the Hamas butchers.
"Jew-hatred has swept a good portion of the world, with many nations wishing  to punish Hamas by giving it a Palestinian state.  America, with taxpayer money,  has built a pier on Gaza’s shore to facilitate aid to its “refugee camps,” which in every other place would be referred to as cities.
"Meanwhile, President Biden is focused on being re-elected in November.  Will his terrorism reign for another four years?  Can America, as we have known it, survive if he does?"
